Speaker 1:
[00:00] Just don't call it a podcast.

Speaker 2:
[00:05] The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show.

Speaker 1:
[00:21] Listen, boys and girls, Ebro Laura Rosenberg Friday Show, Family Friday, FOT Friday, all the things. Griff, how far are we away from A, getting y'all's mic over on that side of the room set up, which was set up and now not set up, and B, the phone lines?

Speaker 3:
[00:37] Phone lines are fully set.

Speaker 4:
[00:38] We just need to do one last step.

Speaker 5:
[00:41] One last step?

Speaker 1:
[00:42] One last step for phone lines.

Speaker 5:
[00:46] I got you.

Speaker 4:
[00:46] So, here's the wire.

Speaker 5:
[00:48] Okay. So we're almost there.

Speaker 1:
[00:50] Almost there. We've been almost there for a while. I don't know why we're not quite there, there. I don't understand. The updates I get are sporadic. It's tough to get updates, Ryan.

Speaker 5:
[00:59] Okay. And we need a tutorial on how to use it.

Speaker 4:
[01:01] But we had his mic, though. All we need is a wire.

Speaker 1:
[01:04] I don't know what happened, bro.

Speaker 4:
[01:07] But we don't have it. Don't we have it, though? Oh, it's tied up.

Speaker 5:
[01:11] All right. So it's coming.

Speaker 4:
[01:12] It's not for lack of effort.

Speaker 1:
[01:14] Okay. That feels good to me. That justification. I'm asking you.

Speaker 4:
[01:22] Me?

Speaker 1:
[01:22] Yeah. You like it?

Speaker 4:
[01:23] Well, yeah, this is tough to blame anyone because the guy who you brought in to do engineering stuff is the one who changed it. It's not like Griff pulled the line.

Speaker 1:
[01:31] Well, I mean, it was the only engineer we could get because the other engineer we thought we had left us high and dry.

Speaker 4:
[01:39] Well, this is the one you got and he tied the wire up. So I don't know what's Griff supposed to do at this point.

Speaker 1:
[01:45] I'm not blaming Griff, I'm just asking if you were good with it.

Speaker 4:
[01:50] The other day during the show, I was like, oh man, I wish they had the mic plugged in.

Speaker 1:
[01:53] How many days ago was that?

Speaker 4:
[01:55] A couple days ago. By next week, I think we'll have the mic back.

Speaker 1:
[01:59] Before you went to Reservadia.

Speaker 4:
[02:00] It might have been. I'm back though, baby.

Speaker 1:
[02:03] Nah, listen, a lot of great things happening on the program this week. Obviously, we have Bujibon Town on the Patreon. Hopefully, you're a subscriber to the Patreon, so you can go check that convo out. Love sitting down with the great Bujibon Town. He's got a new single, Butterflies, and we'll talk to him about the album and all of his plans and the rebuilding of Jamaica.

Speaker 5:
[02:22] He's in a good space.

Speaker 1:
[02:23] Yeah, man. Outside moving around. Now, we got voice notes, we got videos that you guys have sent in. We had a busy week this week. Laura Stylez, do we go Family Matters? Or did we ever decide if Family Matters is the whole Friday? It's not the whole thing.

Speaker 4:
[02:42] It's the whole thing.

Speaker 1:
[02:43] It's the whole thing. Family Matters.

Speaker 5:
[02:45] Family Fat Fridays.

Speaker 1:
[02:56] So you can write us, you can video us, you can voice note us. You're a part of the family. I want more videos. Well, you heard the woman. Ebro Laura Rosenberg at G-Man. There you go, get them over here. Here we go. Here we go.

Speaker 4:
[03:25] All right, stop it now. They're gonna take it.

Speaker 6:
[03:27] All right, all right, all right, all right.

Speaker 1:
[03:29] Family business What's going on? Who goes first? Where do you guys want to go? Voice notes, video, or email?

Speaker 4:
[03:37] I'm sorry, I'm a little distracted. I'm still promoting. Last night was my first show on Shade 45.

Speaker 1:
[03:42] Okay, what are you promoting?

Speaker 4:
[03:43] So I'm just getting out the stuff from yesterday's show. So I'm sorry, I don't want to be distracted.

Speaker 1:
[03:47] How did you open the show there on Shade 45?

Speaker 4:
[03:51] Strong is how I opened it.

Speaker 1:
[03:52] What did you do?

Speaker 4:
[03:53] I had Stove God Cooks on the show.

Speaker 1:
[03:55] Oh, nice.

Speaker 5:
[03:55] Nice.

Speaker 4:
[03:56] I got a phone call from, I don't know, he may be familiar with it. The 18th letter Rakim Allak called on.

Speaker 1:
[04:02] The R.

Speaker 5:
[04:03] Fire.

Speaker 4:
[04:04] Listen, tones got to get set, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1:
[04:06] You know what I mean?

Speaker 4:
[04:07] I wanted him to come in. You know, Rakim lives, he moved away from the city. He wanted to live near a place where he could, as he put it, go to Lowe's without having to change his outfit.

Speaker 1:
[04:18] There you go. I understand.

Speaker 4:
[04:19] Because when he lived in New York, he felt like when he wanted to go to Lowe's to just get some mulch.

Speaker 1:
[04:23] Get a doorknob.

Speaker 4:
[04:24] Get a doorknob, he's like, I still had to dress up.

Speaker 1:
[04:27] Man, I need a Philip screwdriver.

Speaker 4:
[04:29] I got to go play Rock Him just to go get a Philip screwdriver.

Speaker 1:
[04:33] You know what I mean?

Speaker 4:
[04:34] Now-

Speaker 1:
[04:35] I need some bathroom caulk.

Speaker 4:
[04:37] No, literally he needs-

Speaker 1:
[04:38] Hey, yo.

Speaker 4:
[04:39] Hey, yo. You don't want to have to dress up and wear your chains to go get bathroom caulk. But when you live out in the middle of nowhere-

Speaker 1:
[04:47] Caulk in the bathroom. You know what I mean?

Speaker 4:
[04:49] By the way, I'm not kidding. If you all haven't ever heard it, back when Saif and I were still doing one app a few months ago, we had a long conversation with him. He spent a lot, Rakim. Now your man loves Lowe's, bro.

Speaker 1:
[05:03] He brings it up a lot.

Speaker 4:
[05:04] No, and really cared. It's part of his life is living. He's living how you want to live. He's off in the middle of where he's at, working on his lawn, working on his house.

Speaker 1:
[05:15] Also, we don't know Rakim well enough to know that if he, is he a handyman? You don't know. Have you ever asked, Rakim, are you like a handyman?

Speaker 4:
[05:22] Well, now I know. I mean, if you care that much about going to Lowe's, you're doing something.

Speaker 1:
[05:28] For instance, Juvenile, who has an amazing album out, if you haven't taken time to go check it out, his new album. His dad was a carpenter. Juvenile can make furniture.

Speaker 5:
[05:39] Oh, that's fire.

Speaker 1:
[05:40] And cabinets, I'm told.

Speaker 4:
[05:43] Okay.

Speaker 1:
[05:44] So, like, we don't know Rakim. Has anybody ever stopped Rakim and been like, yo, do you like remodel homes? Like, is that why you like Lowe's so much?

Speaker 4:
[05:53] So, I'll be honest, I didn't ask him if he actually straight up remodels homes. I didn't even specifically say, what kind of work are you doing? I should have, that, next time I talk to him, I'm going to do that.

Speaker 5:
[06:04] He's going to be like, I remodel my house.

Speaker 1:
[06:05] Because he might be like, yo, look, nah, you know, I like the handmade cabinets.

Speaker 4:
[06:09] Yeah, I don't know the level to which he goes.

Speaker 1:
[06:11] That's why I'm always at Lowe's.

Speaker 4:
[06:12] I just know he enjoys his Lowe's.

Speaker 1:
[06:14] Shout to Lowe's.

Speaker 4:
[06:14] And by the way, if Lowe's is paying attention, I would be getting that man to do voiceovers for my commercials so fast.

Speaker 1:
[06:20] Well, the interesting thing about Lowe's is I'm not sure that's where their brand is. The owners are aligned in that way.

Speaker 4:
[06:27] What do you?

Speaker 1:
[06:28] I'm told.

Speaker 4:
[06:29] You know that about Lowe's?

Speaker 1:
[06:30] I've heard that, like that the Lowe's family or the family that owns the company is not.

Speaker 4:
[06:34] Not what we want.

Speaker 1:
[06:36] That's what I've heard. But maybe I'm confused to have a Home Depot. I don't know.

Speaker 4:
[06:39] Well, let's start the Family Friday like this. Speaking of family and people who are aligned with us.

Speaker 1:
[06:43] But that was about your serious XM show.

Speaker 4:
[06:46] Yes, on Shade 45. On Shade 45. Shouts to Paul Rosenberg, shouts to Ron Mills, shouts to J1s, shouts to Sway who had me on this week and his team to announce, Heather, Tracy, et cetera.

Speaker 1:
[06:54] But it's what day and what time?

Speaker 4:
[06:56] Thursday nights, 10 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Pacific.

Speaker 1:
[07:01] That's usually how that works.

Speaker 4:
[07:01] Every Thursday. Yeah, well, it's national. You know, I'm not used to thinking nationally all the time.

Speaker 1:
[07:06] Oh, there you go.

Speaker 4:
[07:07] You know, so Real Late with Peter Rosenberg.

Speaker 1:
[07:09] Very nice.

Speaker 4:
[07:10] We're back, baby.

Speaker 1:
[07:11] All right, Laura, you got an email.

Speaker 5:
[07:12] Oh, yeah, we can jump to the emails. Oh, this is interesting being that it's Family Matters. Okay. It's from Chris. It feels like y'all speak more about your children on the show. I'm a therapist and me is curious if you've had a conversation with your partners or children, of course, age appropriate on how they feel. I'll be honest. I fast forward through a lot of it because it feels like I'm in business. I have no right to. I have a kid and try to keep my socials private as well as not. I have details about his personality in Sessions. Just some thought I would like to ask about.

Speaker 1:
[07:45] Well, you wanna go first here, Laura?

Speaker 5:
[07:47] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yes. I have spoken to my partner about it, and he's completely fine with it. I mean, he knows how transparent I am with my life, and pretty much I've shared everything with y'all, so he's okay with it. Maybe there's a time when I decide, hey, maybe we should, you know what I mean, start limiting the amount, but I'm not there yet. So as of right now, me and my man are aligned.

Speaker 1:
[08:10] Issa came on the radio and did her first interview when she was three years old.

Speaker 5:
[08:13] Yes. Yes.

Speaker 1:
[08:16] So yes, I have talked to her mom about it. I wish we hadn't that. And now that we have it, it's on the internet. You can just grab it. He's a nice man. If you missed that, somebody go grab it and bring it up for Family Friday. It's out there in the world. And I talk to Issa now. I'll be like, you know, like today for Family Friday. I'm going to show something that I told you guys early week I was going to show.

Speaker 5:
[08:38] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[08:39] At least how I was going to show it.

Speaker 4:
[08:41] You'll give her the heads up.

Speaker 1:
[08:42] I'll be like, hey, I talked about this.

Speaker 5:
[08:44] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[08:45] But then, by the way, we are not sharing. I have an 11-year-old. I am not sharing with you all the most personal items. Relax.

Speaker 5:
[08:55] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[08:55] You know what I'm saying? Think about what-

Speaker 4:
[08:58] For the most part, I feel like you also have.

Speaker 1:
[09:00] No, I have.

Speaker 4:
[09:01] But no, I can't remember off it.

Speaker 1:
[09:01] I have not.

Speaker 4:
[09:02] No, it's all fair, right?

Speaker 5:
[09:03] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[09:04] Yeah. We've had conversations about things that you don't put on the air.

Speaker 5:
[09:06] We have to be careful because sometimes our memory is blurry, what we said on air and off it.

Speaker 4:
[09:10] No, you're right. Also, I don't trust Ebro Foley. As he gets older, he might think he did some, he didn't, but no, you never have.

Speaker 1:
[09:17] There's so many things with regard to Isa that I have not shared. Of course. Obviously, as your child gets older, we're not just talking about a drawing in a classroom. You know what I'm saying? You're talking about interpersonal relationships and things they might have gotten trouble doing or other personal details that I would never share.

Speaker 4:
[09:38] I do have questions about how long I want to continue to show Maya on the internet. Is there an age when I'm going to go, you know what, at this age, I think I don't want her to be, she should build her own identity. I think that's for everyone to choose. Me and Natalie go back and forth about, you know, she has a profile that we keep private just for friends and family. Like, all of those things are things we discuss. But when it comes to stories, like, I don't feel...

Speaker 1:
[10:07] There's things you won't share.

Speaker 4:
[10:08] Of course. But I mean, right, but she's a year and three-month old.

Speaker 1:
[10:10] Well, I'm just talking to the, I'm talking to the email.

Speaker 4:
[10:12] Right, right, right.

Speaker 1:
[10:13] It feels like what we're sharing now is a lot.

Speaker 4:
[10:15] I'm curious to what they think is, I, I, I... Now, I did recently annoy Natalie with sharing, like, a relationship detail that she could have had left out. And I said, oh, I'm really glad you told me that. I'll make sure now to have a, like, understand that that's something I wouldn't talk about. Not a huge deal, but like a little thing. But it wasn't related to the baby.

Speaker 5:
[10:35] Okay, okay.

Speaker 4:
[10:36] Like, I don't...

Speaker 5:
[10:37] And I will say, I have gotten tons of messages of people thanking us, because they're on this parent journey as well. So they're like, I love that you guys share, share the version of you as a parent and how you guys navigate through life. So it's interesting that she said that it's not for her, but I get tons of messages of people loving it.

Speaker 4:
[10:56] I don't love that e-mail. It sounds like, I don't know. It sounds judgy.

Speaker 1:
[11:03] Well, she said, the therapist, this is from a therapist.

Speaker 4:
[11:06] She's a therapist.

Speaker 1:
[11:07] Who's likely come across kids or parents or parents and kids, where the kids feel like the parents overshare and it somehow has affected how the kids have self-esteem or maybe social media. Maybe parents are putting private stuff on social media, and the kids are like, it's embarrassing.

Speaker 4:
[11:26] But I'm just curious to what she would have heard us do that would have led her to having that thought.

Speaker 5:
[11:31] Just sharing, because some people, you know, are very private about their children. They don't even put them on social media. And if they do, it's just the back of their heads, you know, which I understand too. I'm like, I'm not judging.

Speaker 4:
[11:42] Yeah, I get it. We're good.

Speaker 5:
[11:43] Right here, we're pretty good.

Speaker 4:
[11:45] I think so.

Speaker 5:
[11:45] At least with our significant others, like they're okay with us sharing.

Speaker 4:
[11:48] Yeah, I'm going to figure out, you know, how much I want to show like literally show her face. Just I remember Ebro told a story years ago about Issa getting recognized when he wasn't around.

Speaker 5:
[12:00] Yeah, it happened to Kenza too.

Speaker 4:
[12:01] Yeah, I don't like either of those stories. That I don't like at all. It makes me super uncomfortable. So I have to think about that. That didn't make you rethink things when Kenza?

Speaker 5:
[12:10] Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[12:12] But you in the end, you decided it's okay?

Speaker 5:
[12:15] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[12:16] I just like, it freaks me out a little bit.

Speaker 1:
[12:18] Which part?

Speaker 4:
[12:20] That Isu was recognized when you weren't there.

Speaker 1:
[12:22] It'll freak you out, but it's too late. It already happened. Yeah, but no, but I have to make her aware.

Speaker 4:
[12:28] Well, now she's of an age where you could feel a little better about it. It's that middle ground.

Speaker 1:
[12:33] She wasn't without a parent when it happened.

Speaker 4:
[12:35] No, I know. But I just speak to me and say.

Speaker 1:
[12:38] No, it's definitely something where you're going to be like, I have to think about how to operate. Yeah, for sure. But here's the other part. The other part is I walk around with my kids. So even if it's not on, and we live in the area, you know what I'm saying, where it's like, and I was explaining this to somebody the other day. We live in an area where I'm going to see the same postal worker. I'm going to see the same UPS driver. I'm going to see the same garbage folks. I'm going to see the same people at the corner store. I'm going to see the same people, you know, the construction workers who are working on a nearby building that I walk by every day for the next three years while they're working on a building. And I'm with my kid, you know what I'm saying? So, yeah, one way or the other, I'm being seen with my children. So I have to I have to walk in a space where it's like, you know, they have to be prepared. I have to be prepared.

Speaker 4:
[13:27] Yeah. And I firmly believe that experience, like shapes who we are to some degree versus like certain people who operate in ways and say crazy things. And I'm like, oh, man, you don't you don't have family. You don't you don't understand what it's like. You wouldn't go certain places if you had. When I say go certain places, I mean, say certain things.

Speaker 1:
[13:44] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[13:44] If you had family.

Speaker 1:
[13:46] Here's Issa's first interview.

Speaker 6:
[13:48] Oh, does daddy dance with you?

Speaker 7:
[13:50] Yeah, he dances with me like all the time.

Speaker 6:
[13:54] All the time. Is he good or no?

Speaker 1:
[13:58] Thanks, Issa.

Speaker 8:
[14:03] He sleeps all the time?

Speaker 7:
[14:04] He sleeps all the time.

Speaker 2:
[14:05] He sleeps a lot.

Speaker 7:
[14:06] Does he eat a lot?

Speaker 9:
[14:07] Yeah, he eat a lot.

Speaker 7:
[14:12] Yeah, what does he eat?

Speaker 10:
[14:14] Chopped a Scotty Bean.

Speaker 2:
[14:19] Oh.

Speaker 7:
[14:20] Okay.

Speaker 10:
[14:20] What kind of food do you like? I like vegetables. They eat vegetables and they talk like that.

Speaker 4:
[14:27] She's so, what is she, two? Two and a half.

Speaker 10:
[14:29] You like vegetables, and you like to drink water.

Speaker 8:
[14:33] That's your favorite.

Speaker 6:
[14:34] What's your favorite song, Isa?

Speaker 10:
[15:03] She's like, I'm going to give you this whole song, hold that.

Speaker 1:
[15:09] Well, since you had Issa singing right there, is that other one ready, Rosan? This was Issa's solo, she's playing Morticia in the Adams family at her school play over the past weekend.

Speaker 4:
[16:33] Who's this?

Speaker 7:
[16:34] Let's do kids.

Speaker 4:
[16:36] You want to show them?

Speaker 1:
[16:37] It's too late.

Speaker 4:
[16:38] Stop, stop. Nah, quit football, bro. Quit football. No, that poy, her level of poy, how old is she?

Speaker 1:
[16:46] 11.

Speaker 4:
[16:47] Are y'all watching? She's 11, he's at 11, not 15. 11. Laura, you didn't think that was incredible poys?

Speaker 5:
[16:54] I think it's amazing.

Speaker 1:
[16:55] It's amazing.

Speaker 4:
[16:55] That level of calm and slow and enunciated, nah bro, that's-

Speaker 5:
[17:02] Very confident, Easton.

Speaker 1:
[17:02] There you go, Uncle Pete. Uncle Pete, you're going for you, Easton.

Speaker 4:
[17:04] No, that's crazy how good that was.

Speaker 1:
[17:07] That was good, right?

Speaker 4:
[17:08] Wow, sounded great.

Speaker 1:
[17:10] Wow, the poys. She works hard, man. The girl, you love me.

Speaker 4:
[17:13] Is Morticia the star, right? The main thing?

Speaker 1:
[17:15] No, Gomez is, I think, Gomez, because it's Wednesday, he's got a big part. Yeah. Gomez is really like the-

Speaker 4:
[17:22] I don't really remember the Adam's Family story.

Speaker 1:
[17:24] Well, that particular play is one specific thing. Yeah, because there's multiple Adam's Family movies, then there's obviously a TV show from back in the day. Then there wasn't there something else. Then there's one of these-

Speaker 4:
[17:35] I prefer Adam's Family Values, which had the MC Hammer, the Adam's Groove on the soundtrack.

Speaker 2:
[17:40] Oh, God.

Speaker 4:
[17:41] They do what they want to do, say what they want to say, live how they want to live, play how they want to play. You don't remember that?

Speaker 2:
[17:47] Congratulations, you played yourself.

Speaker 4:
[17:49] It's Adam's Family. Are you a griff?

Speaker 8:
[17:51] No.

Speaker 1:
[17:51] Wait, how old were you when that happened?

Speaker 4:
[17:55] Eleven. It wasn't good. I wasn't like a fan.

Speaker 1:
[17:57] The fact that you retained it.

Speaker 4:
[17:58] But I retained it.

Speaker 2:
[17:59] Congratulations, you played yourself.

Speaker 6:
[18:02] 1993.

Speaker 4:
[18:03] It wasn't like my favorite hammer, but it was out there.

Speaker 1:
[18:06] There was no way I was watching it.

Speaker 4:
[18:07] I think I saw it. Yeah, I think I saw it.

Speaker 1:
[18:09] But that's age appropriate in hip hop.

Speaker 4:
[18:10] You should see an Adam's Family movie.

Speaker 1:
[18:13] But even retaining the hip hop of it.

Speaker 4:
[18:15] Yeah, the Adam's Groove, bro. I see that record around all the time. But that song sucks.

Speaker 1:
[18:22] But anyway, it was Young Issa. Awesome. Wow. Young Issa.

Speaker 4:
[18:26] Listen, Ebro, you may want to show off in all that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Issa's impressive. Sure, starring in a musical.

Speaker 1:
[18:33] Listen, guys, it's her... The entire... By the way, she has done this just so you know. Her entire school does this annual play. The entire school. So some of those kids are like... They're not in that scene, but there's kindergartners that pop out.

Speaker 4:
[18:47] Right, right, everyone's in it.

Speaker 1:
[18:48] So every year, they're doing this play.

Speaker 4:
[18:51] That's really cool.

Speaker 1:
[18:52] And so when you get to like 5th, 6th, you know, 7th, 8th grade is when you start to get like the primary roles.

Speaker 4:
[18:59] Right, right, right. Oh, so it makes sense.

Speaker 1:
[19:01] Right.

Speaker 4:
[19:01] So she's... Well, either way, I'm doing a bit, so don't ruin it, please.

Speaker 1:
[19:04] Oh, I'm sorry.

Speaker 4:
[19:04] So yeah, so you said maybe you're talented and all that, but she ain't the only kid with talent. You know what I'm saying? Roll the clip, Bascom! Look at how excited she is.

Speaker 7:
[19:19] Give it to her.

Speaker 4:
[19:21] Nah, give me the whole piece.

Speaker 1:
[19:23] Uh-huh. That's right.

Speaker 4:
[19:29] This is brand new. Like, this is, this is while I was at WrestleMania. Like, I've seen her take bites of pizzas and she was tiny, tiny, you know, you know, it's Natalie, so she was always doing that. But this, like, I can grab a piece of pizza and eat it. This is brand fresh. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:
[19:44] It's a big deal.

Speaker 4:
[19:45] It's a big deal. I haven't seen her do it yet in person. Eat a piece of pizza.

Speaker 1:
[19:49] That's a big deal.

Speaker 4:
[19:49] No, she was so excited.

Speaker 1:
[19:50] Now, you know, around my way, watch those crispy edges.

Speaker 4:
[19:56] Oh, she didn't, I'm sure she didn't have it at the way end. You mean, like, the crust?

Speaker 1:
[20:00] The crust. Or just any, like, little crispy, flaky, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4:
[20:04] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, no, for sure. I'm guessing that she made it a few.

Speaker 1:
[20:06] I'm not sure mom was on point.

Speaker 4:
[20:07] I think she wanted to.

Speaker 1:
[20:08] I'm letting you know.

Speaker 4:
[20:08] No, no, no, if I was doing it. Yeah, no, I would only let her hit, like, the easy bites. There's another video I didn't put in, though, of Natalie ordered a sandwich the other day, and, you know, she'll always, like, hold the sandwich and let her, like, try to take a big bite of it, which is mostly, she doesn't get that much. It's mostly just for hilarious visual. But in this case, she just took the whole hoagie in both hands. It was the size of her head.

Speaker 1:
[20:30] So you're confident she's related to you?

Speaker 4:
[20:32] Oh, yeah. It is very clear.

Speaker 1:
[20:33] After watching these eating habits, you know whose child it is.

Speaker 4:
[20:36] Yeah, both of ours. We'll be mindful. We'll be keeping an eye on this. But anyways, that was Maya's big talent.

Speaker 1:
[20:42] That was great. That was a great little family update. What you got for kids? Anything?

Speaker 5:
[20:45] I didn't. I know, because everything I had is too many kids.

Speaker 4:
[20:47] No death songs, murder videos.

Speaker 1:
[20:50] Well, interestingly enough, after Issa did the Addams Family, I started thinking about, didn't Kenza have a thing with Wednesday?

Speaker 5:
[20:59] Yeah, she loves Wednesday.

Speaker 4:
[21:00] Her birthday was themed Wednesday this year. Right.

Speaker 1:
[21:02] That's what I thought. And you let her watch that show.

Speaker 5:
[21:06] You know what?

Speaker 1:
[21:07] Well, to answer it, this is a yes or no question.

Speaker 5:
[21:09] Yes.

Speaker 1:
[21:11] And you don't understand why she's into death?

Speaker 4:
[21:15] Great call.

Speaker 1:
[21:17] We, like, guys, so at some point, parents gotta understand that what their kids are absorbing will affect their behavior. Like, we're not tying this together.

Speaker 5:
[21:26] She loves the Wednesday cartoons. She loves it. She walks around with it.

Speaker 1:
[21:31] In love with a character that likes electrocuting her little brother, killing animals. And you were like, why is she like this?

Speaker 5:
[21:43] I just didn't think that everything else was gonna be just moving forward.

Speaker 3:
[21:48] She's fine, bro.

Speaker 4:
[21:49] But it could, he's not wrong, though. And I don't have any issue with any of it. But it could be partially wrong.

Speaker 1:
[21:55] Well, no, no, no. I don't have an issue with it.

Speaker 4:
[21:58] I think it's Ricardo. I think she's sneaky. She catches Ricardo watching, like, she's overhearing IG videos about disappearing politicians and crazed conspiracy.

Speaker 1:
[22:09] Well, no, I go with E All the Above.

Speaker 4:
[22:12] Right.

Speaker 1:
[22:14] Wednesday is her favorite thing.

Speaker 5:
[22:16] Loves Wednesday.

Speaker 1:
[22:17] She's born on Halloween.

Speaker 5:
[22:20] That's right.

Speaker 1:
[22:21] Her mother is into the day of the dead. Likely her father is watching nonsense on Instagram. To me, all of this adds up. I don't know why we were up here acting surprised. Congratulations.

Speaker 4:
[22:34] We're acting brand new.

Speaker 1:
[22:35] You saved yourself. Check the dots. I'm sorry. You didn't put this together yourself?

Speaker 5:
[22:43] I did, but I just didn't think that she would make her school project, like her historical whatever the characters. I think that all of a sudden it's going to be like, yeah, this is my version except dead. I just didn't think it was going to go there.

Speaker 1:
[22:56] That's what Wednesday would do.

Speaker 5:
[22:58] It is very Wednesday. But you know, I listen.

Speaker 6:
[23:02] It's not like I was like, Kenza, why did you do that?

Speaker 10:
[23:03] I laughed.

Speaker 4:
[23:06] Is she going just as hard? No, no, she's starting this phase. Yeah.

Speaker 10:
[23:10] Yeah.

Speaker 5:
[23:10] I mean, she still does little things, but sharks burning and no sharks burning.

Speaker 4:
[23:15] Also, I did see another comment the other day on a YouTube video, I believe of someone saying like, I don't like Family Friday. I skipped forward. I don't need to hear about everyone's family. We want to hear about the topics. And to the person who said that, I would just like to say, go bleep yourself. Nobody cares.

Speaker 5:
[23:32] Oh my God, Rosenberg.

Speaker 4:
[23:33] No, listen, I love that people support our show and I want and I appreciate all of you. And we will take some things under advisement. But this ain't a request program. We're not. I don't even like taking requests as a DJ. I'm certainly not getting told. Don't tell me about your family on your show. Sorry, you can create your own podcast and not talk about your family.

Speaker 5:
[23:58] On a segment called Family Matters that we do every Friday.

Speaker 1:
[24:00] That's what we do. I would like to shout out Ronald who says don't take the bait.

Speaker 5:
[24:04] OK.

Speaker 4:
[24:05] Thank you, Ronald.

Speaker 1:
[24:06] He said the show has been a joy to watch and listen to. It's a part of my routine. When I can, I watch it live. When I can, I make sure I listen before the sun is down. But it would be great for everybody, especially yourselves, to not engage so much on what academics are saying about us. Yeah, I get those. I think this is less pointed at Laura because she's the only one focused on what's today's topics points every day. Ebro sometimes get into it, but Rosenberg really let himself go by whoever DJ, host or fake punk ass DJ streaming, reacting to songs will not talk about them. I know what it feels like. I do my hustle on the media game again, not asking for a job, Ebro. Relax, I'm a TV writer for soap hoppers. Brazilian soap hoppers are another level of production by the way. I bet.

Speaker 10:
[24:52] They are.

Speaker 1:
[24:52] It's like y'all regular TV dramas. And touring with my new stand up hour.

Speaker 10:
[24:56] Ha ha ha.

Speaker 1:
[24:57] Keep the hip hop on, the politics on and the family on. Negativity out. And that was Ronald. Aw, thanks Ronald. Thanks Ronald.

Speaker 4:
[25:03] No, I appreciate that Ronald. You're right, I'm working. Listen, I've been doing good with my Twitter, end of my Twitter life. There you go. So one step at a time. God is still working on me, folks.

Speaker 1:
[25:13] And Mike has a qualm with you Rosenberg. Before we get to a voice note.

Speaker 4:
[25:17] Speaking of Rosenberg not getting trolled.

Speaker 1:
[25:19] That's why I did it in this form.

Speaker 4:
[25:21] Let's roll write it. I won't even read it. All right, I haven't seen it.

Speaker 1:
[25:23] Rosenberg, why do you read your emails on your phone when you got a big ass iPad right in front of your face? I don't know why it irks me. My kids do the same ish. Read a book or watch a show on their phone and the iPad is sitting right next to them. I'll watch the show and see you hold your phone directly in front of the iPad. Make it make sense.

Speaker 4:
[25:41] I switched my password and got logged out and haven't logged back in yet. You're right. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it right now. We got these nice iPads. I should do that.

Speaker 1:
[25:50] Let's go. Voice note time. We got Steph.

Speaker 10:
[25:54] Good morning. I've been laughing about something in my head for months, but since you said you needed voice notes, I figured I would send it in. Even though I have no idea how to record a voice note, I'm out here talking to my camera, recording a video of nothing. I don't really know how to use YouTube either, but I'm figuring it out for you guys.

Speaker 1:
[26:11] Love you.

Speaker 10:
[26:12] Anyway, I'm a long time listener and I'm a Rosenberg fan, so all day I listen to Rosenberg talk about music, about sports, politics, and I often agree with Rosenberg's takes, but even when I don't, I like the way he articulates his takes.

Speaker 1:
[26:28] Okay.

Speaker 10:
[26:29] But it's gotten to the point now, if I'm rehearsing an argument in my head or I'm trying to formulate my own take on something, I hear it in Rosenberg's voice.

Speaker 1:
[26:40] All right.

Speaker 10:
[26:41] Rosenberg made a comment a while back on the old program about how listeners' favorite personalities on the show tend to follow along racial lines. I'm a Jewish woman, so that comment was a mirror for me. But I think it's a really important part of y'all's contribution that you help us hear things from all your different perspectives. So I appreciate you guys.

Speaker 1:
[27:02] Aw, that was nice.

Speaker 4:
[27:03] Thank you. I honestly, that was really nice. I don't get that sort of like, that felt really good. What was her name again?

Speaker 1:
[27:11] You feel validated.

Speaker 4:
[27:12] I do. What was her name?

Speaker 1:
[27:13] That was Steph.

Speaker 4:
[27:14] Steph, I receive your words and I truly appreciate it. It's been a week of people saying really nice things to me and I've tried to receive all of them. Like at WrestleMania, people were just like, you're everywhere, you're really doing it. And you're like, you know, in my crazed brain, I'm always like, am I? So I really tried to like receive it from people and I really appreciate that.

Speaker 1:
[27:39] Well, I think that goes to show you need to get out in real life more.

Speaker 4:
[27:44] Because you hear-

Speaker 1:
[27:45] In real life, when you're walking around and people are driving by or you're at an event, our show gets so much love in real life.

Speaker 4:
[27:54] Right. And that's why not being on Twitter and being out in real life is so much more effective.

Speaker 1:
[27:59] Yeah. Well, I think my brain has shifted to not processing social media full stop as real life. But I also had a thought the other day, I haven't been involved in social media as long as y'all. Like you guys were in like AOL chat rooms. I was never there. I was never on MySpace like that. I was never on early Facebook. Like I did none of that stuff.

Speaker 4:
[28:26] No, you can't. No top eight. No top eight. He didn't.

Speaker 1:
[28:29] I was never.

Speaker 4:
[28:29] You were on Twitter and Instagram madly.

Speaker 1:
[28:31] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[28:31] Relative.

Speaker 1:
[28:33] But there was a time when you guys were on social media that it was like a real dope place.

Speaker 5:
[28:40] Yeah, it was fun.

Speaker 1:
[28:41] So you learned it in a way that it was dope. I never learned that. I only jumped in the social media to troll. I was being trolled. People were talking ish. And I was like, oh, they talking ish over there? I'm going over there. Let's get active.

Speaker 4:
[28:55] Yeah, you literally bought followers the day you showed up.

Speaker 1:
[28:57] That's right.

Speaker 4:
[28:58] That's how not serious you were. And that you already knew it was toxic enough that you're like, oh, people are doing that. So let's just do that.

Speaker 1:
[29:05] Whatever.

Speaker 4:
[29:05] I mean, you ended up losing them over time. But for a while.

Speaker 1:
[29:07] Well, I think they run out. It was only like, I think I spent like $15 and got like $100,000.

Speaker 4:
[29:13] Oh no, it was a lot early.

Speaker 1:
[29:14] It was like pennies to get free followers.

Speaker 4:
[29:16] Pennies. And they fall apart quickly. But at first you jump in the game. It makes people.

Speaker 1:
[29:21] That's probably why my accounts won't grow now because it's been flagged for like so long.

Speaker 4:
[29:26] God.

Speaker 1:
[29:27] No, that's real, right?

Speaker 4:
[29:28] But it does. No, because your account grew nicely afterwards.

Speaker 1:
[29:33] No, but like earlier this week, remember I was on Instagram Live and you were like.

Speaker 4:
[29:36] That's everybody though. They've throttled lives.

Speaker 5:
[29:39] It's everyone.

Speaker 4:
[29:40] Lives don't work anymore. Lives do not work. There used to be times when at the right time, my life could really be active.

Speaker 5:
[29:47] Absolutely.

Speaker 4:
[29:48] Cannot do it now. Nothing I do is fire on life. It's crazy.

Speaker 1:
[29:53] It just looks like nobody cares.

Speaker 4:
[29:54] Yeah. I don't think it's you. But anyways, that is an interesting point though, because we did interact differently. I was in chat rooms.

Speaker 1:
[30:00] I did all the things. It was normal. It was like your friends were there.

Speaker 5:
[30:04] We would share HTML codes for fun. Like, hey, I could make the screen stripes. I could do this here. It's like this long code that we used to copy and paste and share. I love it. Louis shaking his head because I did that.

Speaker 4:
[30:15] She went a notch nerdier than I thought. I didn't know Laura had that. I didn't know. That's Space Camp Stylez right there.

Speaker 1:
[30:21] She went out of space. That's Artemis 1, Artemis 0. What do you got, Rosenberg?

Speaker 4:
[30:30] Okay, what do I have? How about Camille who has a segment suggestion?

Speaker 1:
[30:35] All right, Camille, let's hear it.

Speaker 4:
[30:37] She says, okay, we absolutely need to have a Memory Lane Monday segment.

Speaker 1:
[30:44] Okay, all right. Tell us more.

Speaker 4:
[30:46] Extra credit for video footage like Rosenberg's hat crash out.

Speaker 1:
[30:49] Okay.

Speaker 4:
[30:50] Yeah, by the way, I saw you guys did like, I go away for five minutes and the video is called have Ebro and Rosenberg fallen out? And then everyone in the comments is talking about what an a-hole I am for the hat crash out. So thank you.

Speaker 5:
[31:05] Because somebody had asked if we've ever fallen out in real life.

Speaker 1:
[31:08] Oh, it was a question. That's why it was based on a listener question.

Speaker 5:
[31:10] You know.

Speaker 4:
[31:11] And where do you think, and you know where King Louis went. How can I get that in the title of the show? Anyways, this felt so good to watch. I'm so thankful to still have you guys around forever a fop. Also loved hearing more of Laura and not having her be interrupted so much. Yeah, because when one of us is removed, Laura doesn't get interrupted nearly as much. Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[31:31] Well, mostly you.

Speaker 4:
[31:32] What?

Speaker 1:
[31:34] Ebro.

Speaker 4:
[31:34] You are the worst interrupter. And don't and don't take it to a vote because you'll lose.

Speaker 1:
[31:39] We might have to take it to a vote.

Speaker 4:
[31:41] Don't. I won't win many votes against you. I'm confident I'll win that one. The chat will say it's you. Of course the chat will say it's me. The chat thinks everything is me.

Speaker 1:
[31:53] I'm just saying I was going to take it to a vote. You brought that vote up.

Speaker 5:
[31:55] What do you think? Anyway.

Speaker 4:
[31:57] We should. Does Laura get a vote in the chat? She could be. Could Laura be the deciding vote? I don't know.

Speaker 5:
[32:01] It's kind of 50-50, man.

Speaker 1:
[32:03] Wait, like if Laura interrupts?

Speaker 4:
[32:05] No, no, no. Who interrupts her more, me or you?

Speaker 1:
[32:07] Oh, got it, got it. Or herself.

Speaker 4:
[32:09] Anyway.

Speaker 1:
[32:09] Why does she get a vote? All right, let's go. We got videos. People have sent in videos.

Speaker 6:
[32:15] I'm so excited about this.

Speaker 1:
[32:17] It says here that my guy, Freeze, shout to my guy, Freeze. I think he's still working at a radio. Okay. Freeze used to drive the van for me. I taught Freeze how to roll blunts in the 90s in the station van. Wow.

Speaker 5:
[32:32] Freeze, okay.

Speaker 9:
[32:34] Yo, what up? Ebro, Laura Stylez, Rosenberg. It's me and Freeze. Ebro, what's up, man? West Coast over here representing. I'm up here in Seattle, Washington. I try to watch you guys' show every morning, but unfortunately, I do a morning show as well. I'm the executive producer and on air with the Jubal Show. It's nationwide through iHeart Media. And so I don't, you know, the evil empire. I know how Ebro is about all that, but yeah. So I don't get to watch the show until later on in the day, but I always catch it. I respect and love what you guys are doing. Keep doing it. And Ebro, show them some of the photos I sent you of you with the hair on the top of your head instead of the bottom.

Speaker 6:
[33:14] Yo, look at Ebro.

Speaker 4:
[33:16] No, you look nuts, bro.

Speaker 1:
[33:17] Exhibit. Shout out to my man, Greg Lawley. Wow. I don't know where we were doing that. I don't know who that, that's for me and Freeze though. Now it's Michigan.

Speaker 4:
[33:26] Michigan Jersey.

Speaker 5:
[33:27] Yo.

Speaker 1:
[33:28] Me and Dub C.

Speaker 4:
[33:29] No, bro.

Speaker 7:
[33:29] I love these.

Speaker 4:
[33:31] No, bro.

Speaker 5:
[33:34] So good.

Speaker 4:
[33:34] No, you look nuts, bro.

Speaker 1:
[33:38] I got some more though.

Speaker 4:
[33:40] You're almost a completely different person.

Speaker 5:
[33:43] I mean, now the face is the same.

Speaker 4:
[33:45] No, no, I know, but the look changes.

Speaker 5:
[33:47] I mean, he has no hair on top.

Speaker 4:
[33:49] The look change, like totally changes how you. Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[33:55] Well, I've talked about how like people think I'm whiter now that I have no hair.

Speaker 4:
[34:00] Can you run the pictures back again? I'm taking those in still.

Speaker 1:
[34:04] I got some more.

Speaker 2:
[34:05] I got more close ups though too.

Speaker 5:
[34:08] OK.

Speaker 1:
[34:08] All right.

Speaker 4:
[34:09] All right.

Speaker 5:
[34:09] There we go.

Speaker 1:
[34:10] Let me see.

Speaker 4:
[34:11] I mean, like your face looks the same. It just gives a completely different vibe. Yeah. How what year is this? You think Ebro? Ninety seven or so?

Speaker 1:
[34:20] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[34:21] Could be that old, right?

Speaker 1:
[34:22] Yeah, it could be 97. Could be 97.

Speaker 8:
[34:24] I love these. These are so dope.

Speaker 1:
[34:25] Could be 97. Here. I put some more in the chat. I found I've been hitting my old friends. I used to do like shout to a conscious vibes in Northern California. Doug and Dre. We did a lot of parties together. And like booking Goodie Mob and KRS and.

Speaker 4:
[34:45] Which you asked them for photos.

Speaker 1:
[34:46] I was like, yo, y'all got any photos? Because people took photos at events and stuff. Right. It's not you walked around with a camera back then.

Speaker 5:
[34:53] I've been asking people for the same. You got any photos of me? Can I have them? I don't have anything.

Speaker 1:
[34:57] I got an ill one. I got a fine though of me interviewing Andre 3000 in Big Boy, my first album, and I have like the little portable mic. Yeah. And I'm like leaning across the table to like try to get the interview.

Speaker 4:
[35:10] Damn. You can't find that one?

Speaker 1:
[35:11] I got to find that, Jon.

Speaker 5:
[35:12] That's fire.

Speaker 4:
[35:14] Because my outcast interview, which was a big ass deal for me at the time, I think there's photos from that too.

Speaker 1:
[35:21] You got to find it.

Speaker 5:
[35:22] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[35:24] I do have the signed source frame, though, with them on the cover of the source. And Andre 3000 wrote, it was my first big interview on FM radio, like not on college radio. And Andre wrote, tight interview, very professional.

Speaker 1:
[35:42] Okay.

Speaker 4:
[35:44] I like that. It was when the Dungeon Family album came out.

Speaker 5:
[35:47] That's fire. Now you got me digging. I'm like, do I have any?

Speaker 4:
[35:49] But I don't have.

Speaker 8:
[35:50] I got to find them.

Speaker 4:
[35:51] I should do this at a different time. I'd like to say it to both of you.

Speaker 1:
[35:53] Why don't you say some more to the chat?

Speaker 8:
[35:55] Oh, you found them?

Speaker 1:
[35:56] Not that one, but I'd say other ones if you guys are interested. You know, I am who I am. The 90s were the 90s. I had hair at a time.

Speaker 4:
[36:04] It's just interesting. It's just interesting. It's fun.

Speaker 1:
[36:07] Well, you had hair too. Look, there's me with the red man mascot. Oh, this is a new one. This has to be early 2000s.

Speaker 4:
[36:15] That's Doc's the name.

Speaker 1:
[36:16] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[36:17] That's Doc's the name. So 2000.

Speaker 1:
[36:18] 2000, yeah. That's me with the goodie mob. Wow. Can't really see my hair. I don't know what that's from. I just found a photo. We'll send a photo.

Speaker 4:
[36:30] Looks like you're rolling a blunt though. That's the vibe it's giving.

Speaker 1:
[36:32] It's giving I'm rolling something.

Speaker 4:
[36:33] It's giving rolling a blunt and then looking back and saying something.

Speaker 5:
[36:38] So dope. All right.

Speaker 1:
[36:40] You see Salasi's face? Yeah. That's Salasi's face. All right. Back to emails Laura Stylez on This Family Friday. Make sure you like and subscribe and do all the things. Lou is concerned our subscription, our subscribers are leveling off.

Speaker 4:
[36:56] Did he say that? Did he say he was concerned?

Speaker 1:
[36:59] Well, no, I said, Lou, how we doing? He was like, ah.

Speaker 5:
[37:03] Okay. Here we go. This is from Erica. Hi squad. I've been rocking with you all for many years and rocking with fine ass Ebro since the 90s. See? I have one suggestion for the show. Maybe take a vote on this one. But when one of you is out, please consider adding a guest. I think a surprise guest would be fun. And getting different views would be a benefit. Politicians, entertainers, doctors, lawyers, sports minus wrestling because wrestling sucks. Sorry, Rosenberg.

Speaker 10:
[37:32] All right.

Speaker 4:
[37:32] Can we wrap this up? This is an idiot.

Speaker 5:
[37:34] Love you guys.

Speaker 10:
[37:35] Keep up the good work.

Speaker 5:
[37:37] Shout out to MJ Rosenberg on Substack because his content is real-ish.

Speaker 4:
[37:43] That's facts. That's a great point at the end. But the rest of that was a trash email. Number one, we literally have done what you did already.

Speaker 1:
[37:49] That's right.

Speaker 4:
[37:50] And here's the part that really gets my goat a little bit. I think even Ebro and Laura might agree that of all the guests we get, like honestly, the safest interview of like, you can bet they'll be able to roll and talk about different stuff. It might be wrestlers. They might be as good as anyone we talk to as far as not showing up and being like weird on that day and doesn't have much to say. Or like they're actually great interviews.

Speaker 5:
[38:18] Everyone we've had so far has been fantastic.

Speaker 4:
[38:20] They're always great.

Speaker 1:
[38:21] I think she's just hating on wrestling. She's just I don't even think everything you're saying, I don't think it's about that. I think she just wants to have another dynamic on the show. I mean, the wrestlers we've had have been about wrestling. So she may not be a wrestling fan. But if we imagine we just had Rhea sitting in doing the Google.

Speaker 4:
[38:37] And doing whatever. Now, I but anyways, we've been doing what she said, but I have mixed feelings on it. I like having the guest when one of us is gone. I also don't.

Speaker 1:
[38:48] It's it's what you're thinking.

Speaker 4:
[38:50] Sometimes it's good, depending on who the person is. And sometimes like people said the other day, it changes the dynamic of the show. Yeah. So you get a lot more, Laura. You get you guys have your vibe when I'm not here. We have our vibe when you're not here. Like, I think there's good things to that. And I don't like to be beholden to guests because you never know. And it is hard. We say we want to have them just sit in. It's hard to do it. It often ends up turning into an interview and people don't want.

Speaker 1:
[39:19] But now, there are the Rob Markmans, the Nadeska's, the journalists kind of take to sit in on the show.

Speaker 4:
[39:26] But we don't, though I love both of them, neither of them have spent enough time on our show where they'll come in and it'll seamlessly just be like three friends. We have to get a rhythm over time. Yeah.

Speaker 5:
[39:38] And then I hear the opposite. Some people don't want guest hosts.

Speaker 4:
[39:41] I know. They see a guest that are like, I'm out.

Speaker 1:
[39:43] I'll tell you what people want to be entertained.

Speaker 4:
[39:48] Love what you're saying.

Speaker 2:
[39:49] Couldn't agree with, couldn't agree with.

Speaker 1:
[39:50] Hot take. They just want to be entertained. And so what she's saying is she might be more entertained. She's entertained by all three of us loves it. Might be more entertained if there was a new dynamic. That's what she is saying. That singular individual, right? Out of all of the 60 plus thousand subscribers we have and 20 something thousand viewers we have live every day.

Speaker 4:
[40:09] Yeah. Just her thought.

Speaker 1:
[40:10] Just her thought. And we appreciate you caring so much.

Speaker 4:
[40:13] Yeah. We're figuring those things out and it's situational. I mean, Ebro's schedule is dealing with like, it's like dealing with a professional baseball team. Like, I know they would know their schedule better.

Speaker 1:
[40:24] Yeah, they have a schedule.

Speaker 4:
[40:25] Yeah, and they have a travel department that it's completely set, actually. I dig it back. Ebro's like a professional baseball team if they were just going rogue. Like, they're just making it up as they go. The man just hits you, he's like, yo, by the way, I'm gone Tuesday. I'll be back the following Monday. By the way, I'm leaving Wednesday. I'm coming back Sunday. And you're like, wait, you changed both days, bro. Both?

Speaker 1:
[40:45] Here's Yanzuli.

Speaker 3:
[40:47] Peace, peace, family. I'm going to do my best to be under 60 seconds. This is Yanzuli checking in.

Speaker 1:
[40:55] Yanzuli, excuse me.

Speaker 3:
[40:57] Now, I got a few questions. I got a lot of questions. My first question is, how do y'all, this is for all three of y'all, how do y'all handle your toddlers during sick times? You know, Ebro, I know you normally do the holistic method, black seed oil or regular oil for yourself, but do you give that to your toddler? No. Laura, I want to know the same thing. Peter, I want to know the same thing. How do you deal with your sick child? I have a toddler and times are rough when they're sick. And then I become sick. So how do you like prevent yourself from becoming sick as well? Second question, Rosenberg, we need that Real Late, the album and the show. OK, come on with it. When does that pop in? Next question, Laura, you ever thought about bringing the Vision Fest outside of New York? Like, you know, maybe Virginia, the South, Atlanta, Texas. Never thought about it, just a question. But anyway, man, those are my questions and whatnot. I hope I ain't run up too much time. No, you did good. A minute. Excuse me for the rambling and rumbling and that, but y'all have a great day. Have a great weekend, man.

Speaker 5:
[42:03] Peace, peace. Aw, thank you. Yanzily.

Speaker 1:
[42:06] So we'll start at the top.

Speaker 5:
[42:07] OK.

Speaker 1:
[42:08] Definitely not giving my two-year-old black seed oil and these naturopathic remedies without some sort of pediatric input. Like, I'm not. Remember, their immune systems, they have new immune systems. So you got to let their immune system do some working and learning, too. But vitamin C, right? Vitamin C, fluids, and then obviously, if their temperature is bouncing into the 100-plus range, we're going to the doctor.

Speaker 5:
[42:41] Oh, absolutely. And listen, me too. I tend to lean. I try to make better choices. Like, instead of Thailand, I'll go with GeneXa just because GeneXa doesn't have all the dyes and the extra stuff, but it's still the same thing. It's still. So I just try to make better choices. But I'm with you. I'll give her, like, elderberry, but we got to go to the doctor. We're going to the doctor. I'm not playing games.

Speaker 4:
[43:00] Yeah, and I don't have a lot of experience yet in this regard. So, I mean, we literally... Maya's so little that, like, a couple of weeks ago when she was all snotted out, I mean, you know, nastiness. I went to my follicle pharmacy and I was like, hey, is there anything I can do for my year and three-month-old? And they were like, use a humidifier and suck them snot, which I don't use the sucker. I just use the squeezer. Okay.

Speaker 1:
[43:25] So the squeezer I've had success with.

Speaker 4:
[43:28] I've heard the suckers better.

Speaker 1:
[43:29] The long tube jam. I have a lot of success with that one.

Speaker 4:
[43:33] I'm good.

Speaker 5:
[43:33] Oh, I couldn't do it, Ebro. I know it has a blocker in there, but I was like, I can't.

Speaker 4:
[43:37] I know, but people describe it.

Speaker 1:
[43:39] What do you think it's going to be like going to your mouth or something?

Speaker 4:
[43:41] It's just.

Speaker 1:
[43:42] It's the tube. It's a chamber. It's stuck in the chamber. I know. It has a long hose on it. You've seen it, right? It has a little sponge.

Speaker 4:
[43:52] I'm with you, Laura. I just don't like it. Let me ask you this. Is it much better than the squeezer?

Speaker 1:
[43:56] That's what I'm saying. I've had success, like the amount that I'm able to get.

Speaker 4:
[44:00] But doesn't she hate it and fight?

Speaker 1:
[44:02] Well, she used to, and now it's like we turned it into a little bit of game and got to it and now she's cool with it.

Speaker 4:
[44:09] She'll let you do it. When I use the little squeezer thing, I usually cover her eyes and she knows that's the routine. When I cover her eyes, it's because we're sucking boogers out, but she'll let me do it.

Speaker 5:
[44:21] That's good that she lets you.

Speaker 4:
[44:22] Yeah, for the most part.

Speaker 1:
[44:23] She's still wiggling a little bit.

Speaker 4:
[44:25] She's still wiggling sometimes. All right.

Speaker 1:
[44:27] Then I'll say on a personal, my preventative is I'm always taking zinc. I take zinc every day. Just Thrive Probiotics, good for the gut. There you go. Preventative, keeping your gut health in order actually is going to contribute to your overall health. So keep that gut in order with the Just Thrive Probiotics and then.

Speaker 5:
[44:50] I do elderberry supplements.

Speaker 1:
[44:52] I don't do those. I only do those when I'm about to get sick and I only up my vitamin C heavy when I feel like I'm getting sick.

Speaker 5:
[45:00] I'm talking about when the kid's sick.

Speaker 1:
[45:01] When the kid's sick.

Speaker 5:
[45:02] Yeah, that's what I do. Same, I double up on vitamin C, extra zinc because when they're sick, you're going to get sick, bro. It's just what it is.

Speaker 1:
[45:09] Now, I take black seed oil every day. Every day. I take black seed oil.

Speaker 5:
[45:15] Okay.

Speaker 1:
[45:19] I mean, I take a lot of vitamins.

Speaker 5:
[45:20] Me too.

Speaker 4:
[45:21] I take a lot of vitamins. For me, I'm vitamin C and zinc.

Speaker 1:
[45:24] Every day.

Speaker 4:
[45:25] When I'm being on point until I forget and then don't.

Speaker 1:
[45:28] So there's this thing my mom's been giving me since the 90s. It's called the wellness formula and it's like echinacea and ginger and all this stuff ground up into a capsule. And my mom was giving it to me in the 90s. My mom also would give me raw garlic. Like, so just raw garlic. You just cut it up in cloves and swallow it. Swallow it like if you're really getting it.

Speaker 4:
[45:50] Now, was this a vampire concern as well? Yes.

Speaker 1:
[45:53] It keeps all evil.

Speaker 4:
[45:55] All the evil.

Speaker 5:
[45:55] Yeah. We do like hadaves where it's like raw garlic and lemon and like raw honey.

Speaker 1:
[46:01] So I give that a spoon. So when Issa got to about five years old, I'd take raw garlic and put it in one of those grinder little stone things to try to get the juices moving out of the garlic. Then you put the squeezed lemon in it and put some honey on it. I put that on a spoon and just give it to Issa twice a day. But that was like five years old when she's a little bit older.

Speaker 4:
[46:22] She's getting around other kids.

Speaker 1:
[46:24] Yeah. But that was once I saw something coming on.

Speaker 5:
[46:27] All right. Do we have any other videos?

Speaker 1:
[46:29] We do have videos. Let's see what we got on this Family Friday.

Speaker 5:
[46:31] Okay.

Speaker 8:
[46:33] Yo, Yo, Ebro Laura Rosenberg, what up? It's Tony from The Bronx over here.

Speaker 1:
[46:38] Tony.

Speaker 8:
[46:38] Now living in Zephyrhills, Florida. Just want to tell you guys I love you guys. Watch you guys every morning. I still have a whole playlist on YouTube of your old stuff from the old plantation. I'm trying to make this one quick because I guess at iPhone, Apple won't let you leave these long clips. But I love you guys. Keep it up, man. Please keep it up. Forget what all the other ones are saying. They don't matter. They don't matter. Your EL Army matters and the ones that have been with you since day one matter. So I love you guys, man. Keep it up. You guys keep me going out here in boring ass Zephyr Hill, Florida. Love you guys.

Speaker 1:
[47:08] God bless.

Speaker 4:
[47:09] It might be boring. It looks quite nice, though.

Speaker 1:
[47:12] I got to see the landscape.

Speaker 4:
[47:13] I just see it.

Speaker 1:
[47:14] Some of those random towns, it's like flat.

Speaker 4:
[47:16] Bro, just seeing you wear a T-shirt in April looks nice. Because let me tell you something about here. It's been that bull-ish that I knew it would be, by the way. I knew.

Speaker 1:
[47:26] The 80s was a pump thing.

Speaker 4:
[47:29] It's going to be till May, guys. It's going to be full on bull-ish till May.

Speaker 1:
[47:33] Well, remember, this week we had BS, but we had two 60s. We had two 60s.

Speaker 4:
[47:40] I'm not like you, bro. I'm demanding. I'm white. I have privilege. I demand 60 in April does not make me throw a party, bro. That's what you're supposed to do, mother nature.

Speaker 1:
[47:49] That's normal, 60 in April.

Speaker 4:
[47:50] Correct. That's what I'm saying. You were trying to give credit for it.

Speaker 1:
[47:54] Oh, no. I was just saying we were on pace. But it is a longer, more hectic, annoying winter.

Speaker 4:
[48:01] This past Monday, Natalie texted me. She was like, I'm so not motivated with this weather. I'm like, how bad is it? My plan landed Monday night. I stepped out of the airport. I was like, I didn't know it was winter here. I was in Vegas. It was 75. It was perfect.

Speaker 5:
[48:18] Sucks.

Speaker 1:
[48:19] All right.

Speaker 5:
[48:19] You want to do one more?

Speaker 1:
[48:20] Back to the emails, Laura Stylez.

Speaker 5:
[48:22] All right. This one's from J Code. I'll start by saying that you got to push the podcast recordings to people that miss you. I'm a personal trainer who's in and out of the car seeing clients all day, and it's so refreshing to just throw on yesterday's or even this morning's episode and have the conversation continued. Way better than when you guys were at your old gig. Every time I turned it on, it was either curved rerun or damn TJ John segment, SMH. Anyway, I love how much you continue to dig into the weeds of what this country is facing politically. It's so important and you're doing an incredible job helping your audience become more politically illiterate. Financial literacy is something I'd love to hear more of. Obviously, it shouldn't be financial advice, but I'm 34, self-employed, and I'm from a lower middle class upbringing. Everything I know about finance, I've had to teach myself. And it's mind-blowing how little the average American really understands about finances at a macro scale or even, and more importantly, for their personal well-being. Keep doing your thing, this is the best version of y'all that I've heard, though I appreciated the first week when you actually cursed. And I've been tuned in ever since Cipher Sounds and Rosenberg.

Speaker 4:
[49:35] Wow.

Speaker 5:
[49:36] Oh, J. Cole, that was dope. Thank you.

Speaker 1:
[49:38] Y'all remember those Cipher Sounds and Rosenberg days? Word is, those days are long gone. We may never see them again.

Speaker 4:
[49:45] I don't know. I mean, never again, I don't know, but I need a break.

Speaker 5:
[49:49] Juan Epstein, is he dead?

Speaker 4:
[49:51] It's pretty dead, bro. It's pretty dead right now.

Speaker 1:
[49:54] What do you mean? He just had his birthday. Chappelle was there. Angie Martinez was there. Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[50:00] Yeah, I got a Laura. I'm sure you got a message. Laura, you got a nice invite, I'm sure.

Speaker 5:
[50:05] Yeah, no, I didn't get an invite.

Speaker 4:
[50:06] You didn't?

Speaker 5:
[50:06] No.

Speaker 4:
[50:07] Oh, I would have thought you did. I got like the day before, I got an invite to the after party. And I was like, I'm at WrestleMania anyway.

Speaker 1:
[50:15] Yeah, but that would have been more intimate anyway. Probably the after party is more important than the. Well, yeah. And he probably assumed you could just show up to the main thing.

Speaker 4:
[50:23] Yeah, I guess you're right.

Speaker 5:
[50:24] I won't do an after party on a Thursday night, like at midnight, a fam.

Speaker 6:
[50:27] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[50:28] I can't keep up with Saif Sands and Dave Chappelle. Can't have it.

Speaker 6:
[50:31] Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:
[50:31] I can't do it.

Speaker 4:
[50:32] No.

Speaker 1:
[50:33] Them dudes still go to 4 a.m. Oh, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 4:
[50:36] Or 6, bro. No, yeah, I just, I don't know what will happen, but at some point, like we, I don't know. It's just it's in a weird. It's in a weird space. Not like terrible, but just like, you know, scheduling, scheduling.

Speaker 1:
[50:51] What are we talking about? What are we talking about problem?

Speaker 4:
[50:54] No, no, they're always have to talk about. I just feel like there's a perpetual built in thing. I feel like Saif and I have a relationship. This is Family Friday, right?

Speaker 1:
[51:02] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[51:02] I feel like Saif and I have a relationship where he made decisions on like how I am as a person when I was 27 years old, 28, 29 years old. He sort of decided how I operate to some degree. I showed him how I operate. And you know, Saif has a lot of things, but when he decides on something, like he's pretty decided on what he's seen. And I think I am that to him. So like fast forward 18 years, if we have any issues with our show, I feel like he always is like, you know, Peter's just difficult. And I feel like myself and the audience who stayed with us for all these times, like I don't think it's just Peter's difficult. I think there's, you live a crazy life and you're all over the place all the time and getting you to sit down and do something is tough. And so I feel very like blamed whenever things aren't working out. Meanwhile, I'm like the behind the scenes is my man's got text after text from me when can we do this? When can we do this? When can we do this? And it's I'll get one window. Hey, I can do an hour here and blah, blah, blah. And then I hit him that day. I'm like, we do it tonight? No, I'm doing a show. All right.

Speaker 1:
[52:18] You know what this sounds like? He's not that into you.

Speaker 4:
[52:22] I agree. I agree. And yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1:
[52:29] Or currently not that into you. Yeah, because I think you guys have always gone in waves though.

Speaker 4:
[52:33] Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:
[52:33] There's always been waves.

Speaker 4:
[52:35] I also think Syphe, I think the WANEP fans love Syphe more than like anything. And he'll be like, no, no, I love them. I do. I love my WANEP fans. They're my favorite. And I'm like, but you don't show that. You don't really ever want to do it. And I think he... Listen, I get it. He's very busy. He loves his comedy. He's got a radio show he's got to do every day for Odyssey. I get it. I miss doing it. I like doing it. But also, realistically, the flip side for me, we left Hot 97. Our schedule may be slightly less time consuming now. Maybe, but like not much. No. Right. Less money. Less money for sure. But not less time really. Yeah. So like in terms of thinking of where I'm going to get time. Like I remember at one point, I said to Natalie when I was thinking about leaving Hot, I was like, I don't know, like, you know, all this blah, blah, and I think about we have the baby, blah, blah, and Natalie was like, wait, you're going to quit the place that pays you? Quit one app. You do it in the middle of the day and you make no money. What are you talking about? And I was like, quit one app.

Speaker 2:
[53:45] That was a grown up thought.

Speaker 4:
[53:47] She was like, I know you like doing it, but like, and I know you care about the people of your show, but if you're looking for time, don't give up the place that's giving you a salary every day. She was like, and the job's easy. You have fun with your friends every morning. That's all you do. You're going to quit that and the money that gets it to deal with trying to court. What are you doing? I didn't quit one app at that point, but I heard what she said. Fast forward to now we're doing this on my end, looking at myself in the mirror. Yeah, it's also hard for me to prioritize the time because we're here every day till the time that we're here doing extra stuff, working on things, meetings, et cetera. Then I have to go do that. Plus, now I do my wrestling show.

Speaker 1:
[54:22] So it is partly your fault.

Speaker 4:
[54:23] So it is partly my fault.

Speaker 5:
[54:23] Oh, gosh.

Speaker 4:
[54:24] But Cypher's a no.

Speaker 1:
[54:24] That was a long explanation.

Speaker 5:
[54:25] Oh, man. We got there, though.

Speaker 4:
[54:26] Sorry. All right. I'm sorry. I'm working on being less wordy.

Speaker 1:
[54:29] You're emo about it. You're clearly emotional about the Cypher Sounds & Rosenberg thing. And is it exacerbated by this phenomenal party he just had with all these celebs that you weren't able to be at because you had another phenomenal thing you had to do.

Speaker 4:
[54:42] Well, no. That part's a little insulting, though, because when you do a big and friends and you put like it's all about your friends and he puts on Max Glaser and he puts on Chappelle and he puts on Moe Amher, all the people you sort of do things with. And it's like, I mean, I do go on stages and hold microphone. I'm actually pretty funny and good at doing those things.

Speaker 1:
[55:02] So you are triggered by that. But you wouldn't have been able to go anyway.

Speaker 4:
[55:05] The ask would have been nice. But I'm doing a big come and he's just trolling. He knows that. But am I crazy to think that like you might have included me in that? Like crazy. I don't think that's by the way, Syphe keeps me away from Chappelle for sure. Chappelle loves me and Syphe keeps me away. He does not. When I see Chappelle, I'm from Maryland. I'm a hip hop nerd from Maryland. Me and Chappelle's natural organic bond is really strong. Syphe, I feel like I'm kept out of the room.

Speaker 1:
[55:34] But you're not doing the work like Syphe is.

Speaker 4:
[55:36] No. There's no work. What work?

Speaker 1:
[55:38] Well, for Syphe? Syphe's working, man. Syphe is putting his comedy, Syphe has put his time into this comedy thing, bro.

Speaker 4:
[55:46] Well, I'm not trying to do that, but I'm saying I can't be invited to something fun.

Speaker 1:
[55:48] Opening up for Chappelle, DJing for Chappelle on the Chappelle show, like, Syphe's been on it.

Speaker 4:
[55:53] And it's paid off. He's done really well, and he's gotten very good. But I mean, I just feel like-

Speaker 1:
[55:58] So he just doesn't have time for YNEP. So YNEP fans, this is another chapter in the Syphe and Rosenberg saga of starts and stops. They'll be back.

Speaker 4:
[56:07] Well, I'm dropping, in the meantime though, I'm dropping old ones. I'm editing, I'm cleaning up the cancelable material and dropping old episodes.

Speaker 5:
[56:14] Okay.

Speaker 1:
[56:16] Oh, it should be called This Episode Was Cancellable.

Speaker 4:
[56:20] That would be every episode. So you just got to go through and chop them up.

Speaker 5:
[56:24] That's it.

Speaker 4:
[56:25] Because bro, if you were to go back and listen to even your early days on the mornings, you'd be like, this is it. It doesn't work.

Speaker 5:
[56:31] There's a lot of things that I'm like, how do I?

Speaker 1:
[56:35] Time changes.

Speaker 4:
[56:36] Time changes.

Speaker 1:
[56:37] Some jokes don't fly anymore.

Speaker 4:
[56:38] Yeah, but in every single topic, basically.

Speaker 1:
[56:42] Some jokes don't fly.

Speaker 4:
[56:43] No.

Speaker 1:
[56:44] At all.

Speaker 4:
[56:44] But our general tone doesn't even fly.

Speaker 1:
[56:47] It doesn't?

Speaker 4:
[56:48] No. I used to make jokes. I used to make jokes that related to black people. I do not make those jokes anymore. It will not play. Even in a room where it's like, no, there's a black guy here. There's a Latin girl here. And there's a white Jewish guy here. So we can all just kind of say what we want because we give each other passes to make. That's not the thing anymore. That being in the room doesn't give you the pass now to the rest of the world.

Speaker 1:
[57:13] Yeah, things got more sensitive.

Speaker 4:
[57:15] Bro, are bits that we used to do.

Speaker 1:
[57:16] But it's mostly white people's fault.

Speaker 4:
[57:18] No, it's all white people.

Speaker 1:
[57:19] It's all white people. Well, of course. If y'all didn't start tripping with this Trump stuff, we'd still be able to make jokes.

Speaker 4:
[57:23] Facts. Facts. And they complain and think that the other people are sensitive. No, you guys are.

Speaker 1:
[57:31] You're sensitive. A black guy became president, you got sensitive, and now we can't tell jokes no more.

Speaker 4:
[57:37] Correct.

Speaker 1:
[57:38] That's exactly what happened.

Speaker 4:
[57:40] 100 percent what happened. Because our old bits, yo, our Black History Month bits.

Speaker 1:
[57:44] Oh, it was incredible.

Speaker 4:
[57:45] They were so nuts.

Speaker 1:
[57:47] Incredible.

Speaker 4:
[57:48] And really funny. And yeah, it's dead.

Speaker 1:
[57:51] What about black and history?

Speaker 4:
[57:53] Black and history.

Speaker 1:
[57:55] No, I love black. Black and history, I think you can still run. Because that was early cancel days. You'd be like, you know, Bill Cosby. Black and history.

Speaker 4:
[58:04] Not black history, black and history. No, listen, man, let's.

Speaker 1:
[58:08] We had some good stuff.

Speaker 4:
[58:09] We did.

Speaker 1:
[58:10] Are we doing gurus on a Friday?

Speaker 4:
[58:13] We do gurus on Friday, no?

Speaker 1:
[58:15] Yeah. Let's get into a guru Friday.

Speaker 6:
[58:18] Okay.

Speaker 1:
[58:18] Let's get it poppin.

Speaker 2:
[58:19] Hey yo, it's time for the gurus. Rosenberg, you know you are a beautiful queen, Ebro.

Speaker 6:
[58:29] The Original Gurus at gmail.com.

Speaker 5:
[58:33] The Original Gurus at gmail.com.

Speaker 6:
[58:36] Where the gurus unite to fight for what's right.

Speaker 1:
[58:40] That music is loud. Sorry about that, Laura. Where the gurus fight for what's right and unite.

Speaker 6:
[58:45] All right. Burn the stage.

Speaker 1:
[58:46] Unite the fight. Not unite the right. Unite the fight for what's right.

Speaker 4:
[58:51] Sorry?

Speaker 1:
[58:51] Huh?

Speaker 6:
[58:52] Burn the stage.

Speaker 5:
[58:53] All right, Rosenberg.

Speaker 6:
[58:54] Who's writing to us?

Speaker 5:
[58:55] Who needs us?

Speaker 6:
[58:56] Who needs advice?

Speaker 4:
[58:57] Tim, I realize a good video I forgot to send y'all this week. I had so much happen at WrestleMania. It was like, it was so all encompassing and busy. And then the West Coast.

Speaker 1:
[59:04] We played your video earlier in the week.

Speaker 4:
[59:05] I know. I appreciate that. I heard you still call Triple H, Triple X.

Speaker 1:
[59:08] I did.

Speaker 4:
[59:09] Which is super upsetting. It's, it's, it's-

Speaker 1:
[59:12] But you know what that meant.

Speaker 4:
[59:13] No, we know what you meant. It just sounds terrible. I was, but I meant to send you a clip of, I bet my bad Bascom, I meant to send Bascom the clip of what? Okay. So like a few weeks ago, you came up on my show, Ebro Laura Rosenberg. Yes. And you're playing the post show, baby. That you didn't know if Jade could handle a match at WrestleMania with Rhea Ripley. I'm going to ask you a tough question. Were you impressed about anything by Jade Cargill tonight?

Speaker 7:
[59:49] I mean, look, I'm never going to speak down on someone when they've actually shown me that they can go. And Jade, she brought it tonight. She had me laying on the mat a couple of times.

Speaker 4:
[60:03] That's her saying, that's a pretty nice compliment.

Speaker 1:
[60:06] Win the Women's Championship.

Speaker 4:
[60:08] All right, that's basically it.

Speaker 9:
[60:09] You have to show the whole thing.

Speaker 4:
[60:11] But she did put her over.

Speaker 10:
[60:12] Oh, my God.

Speaker 1:
[60:15] When you say put her over, what do you mean?

Speaker 4:
[60:17] Putting someone over.

Speaker 1:
[60:17] Put her over her ropes?

Speaker 4:
[60:19] No, putting someone over is saying that, you know, putting something positive about them, making them look good. So by her saying, like, she brought it tonight, because she was pretty direct about, like, I don't really know if she's ready for this. Like, I didn't think Rhea was being in character when she said that. I think she was being sincere. Like, I'm not sure that she's ready for this match. I'm gonna see, you know, I'm gonna see what she can do. And I think she was impressed. But no, shouts to Logan Paul, though, who was on first take. Okay. And he got asked a question. He was like, yo, where's Peter Rosenberg? I thought Peter Rosenberg was gonna be here. So I just shout out to Logan. Yo, I saw Logan the other day and I was with someone else.

Speaker 1:
[60:57] Can you wrap this up? Your stories are going to other stories and you're trying to finish the Guru. You're doing stories on stories.

Speaker 4:
[61:03] I didn't get so much wrestling this week. I should have made better time for it. I'm sorry. You know what?

Speaker 5:
[61:07] We'll figure it out.

Speaker 1:
[61:08] Once you get to the gurus now.

Speaker 4:
[61:09] The Original Gurus at gmail.com. The Original Gurus at gmail.com. Your destination for clarity.

Speaker 1:
[61:15] Bro, stories be having stories.

Speaker 5:
[61:17] They just kept going.

Speaker 6:
[61:20] On and on.

Speaker 4:
[61:22] I'm still here, guys. No, I'm here. I'm listening to you. Talk about me. Aloha, Original Gurus. Okay. I've been on a much needed hiatus from the show. We all know why. Oh, no, it's him. It's Omar. Yes.

Speaker 1:
[61:41] It's Omar.

Speaker 4:
[61:43] The guy who sent 50 emails.

Speaker 5:
[61:44] Bro.

Speaker 4:
[61:45] Well, Griff forwarded to me still.

Speaker 1:
[61:47] What does he want?

Speaker 5:
[61:48] Just summarize this, man.

Speaker 4:
[61:51] He said, I see the rumors about Hasan Piker being a potential guest.

Speaker 5:
[61:54] Okay.

Speaker 4:
[61:55] Ebro, I know you follow the guy, but watch the video below specifically starting at the 545 mark. After seeing how he speaks to and about the community, he meant that ish. Rosenberg, don't get ahead of yourself and put your foot in your mouth on this one. Let Hasan explain why he's out here dogging black people the way he did in this clip. You could ask him, where was his heart when he made that statement? Since that was the cover you use for Jack Harlow, we don't know his heart. If there isn't some real pushback or a serious discussion on this, then consider my hiatus officially permanent. I'll be watching to see if you guys actually hold it down or just give him a pass per usual.

Speaker 1:
[62:39] Per usual.

Speaker 6:
[62:39] Per usual. We've never met him.

Speaker 4:
[62:41] You think we're big pass givers?

Speaker 1:
[62:43] Well, I did have a question about it because I have not been able to find the video and I'm glad he sent that. Because there are people who are saying that Hassan Piker has had some negative things to say about black folks in the black community. So thank you Omar for sending that video. There's definitely even like I saw a comment from our guy, Def Not Ant, where someone was like, is this Hassan Piker guy like a dangerous, not dangerous wasn't the word, but like is he for the community and the culture? Def Not Ant was like, absolutely not. Oh, 1000%. So I was going to ask him about that. Why is that perception out here? And maybe we'll show the clip because he's got to deal with that. He's obviously got to deal with the October 7th convo. So let's see what he has to say.

Speaker 4:
[63:32] He's he definitely seems to be a flawed vessel. The question is, is he a flawed vessel that's worth seeing if there's, you know, a full redeemable good story there? I don't know enough about it. So I can't even say I won't put my foot in my mouth today.

Speaker 1:
[63:47] Omar, let's see where it goes.

Speaker 5:
[63:49] All right. Yeah, we'll see where it goes when we have him.

Speaker 1:
[63:51] Is that confirmed? He's on Parker confirmed. Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[63:55] Okay.

Speaker 5:
[63:56] Yo, chill out, man. You just know it's confirmed.

Speaker 4:
[63:58] But you didn't know what's on. It's coming.

Speaker 5:
[64:01] It's on the calendar.

Speaker 1:
[64:02] Well, he did this weird thing this week where he put a question in the calendar and I talked about this earlier on the earlier this week on the show. He was like, yo, Griff, you put a question in the calendar and so you accept the, like, I didn't understand what I was supposed to do with it. So it was a question in the calendar. It wasn't a text or an email.

Speaker 4:
[64:23] Now I see it in the calendar.

Speaker 5:
[64:25] Okay, okay.

Speaker 4:
[64:26] But like, I don't see when things pop up on the calendar, I don't get an alert, so I have to like go look it up on the calendar. Anyways, that wasn't really a guru, but that was the guru's cause we gotta go.

Speaker 5:
[64:34] All right, we gotta go now.

Speaker 4:
[64:35] Sorry, I botched it, guys.

Speaker 6:
[64:36] All right, have a great weekend, y'all.

Speaker 1:
[64:38] I mean, you were talking about your story.

Speaker 4:
[64:40] I know, I'm working on it, okay? I'll be less wordy next week, but I want to be appreciated when I work on it, okay? Give me positive feedback if I do the work, okay? That's what I need.

Speaker 1:
[64:53] Is this Validate Me thing helping you validate, just figure out your own validation issues?

Speaker 4:
[64:57] I'll tell you, I'll let you know, I'm recording this weekend.

Speaker 1:
[64:59] Nice.

Speaker 4:
[65:00] We'll see how it goes.

Speaker 1:
[65:01] Are you recording with someone?

Speaker 4:
[65:02] Yes, yes. I have someone coming on who's from our world. He's from our world.

Speaker 1:
[65:11] All right.

Speaker 4:
[65:12] And he is definitively someone who has this problem. And when I tell you guys afterwards, you're going to go, that makes sense.

Speaker 1:
[65:18] It is.

Speaker 4:
[65:19] So, we'll see how it goes.

Speaker 1:
[65:19] So, you got SiriusXM, you got Validate Me happening.

Speaker 4:
[65:23] And a lot of time on Ebro Laura Rosenberg.

Speaker 1:
[65:27] Kind of.

Speaker 5:
[65:29] We'll see you guys on Monday. Subscribe. All that good stuff. Next week, we're doing a new merch drop.

Speaker 6:
[65:36] So, make sure you watch it.

Speaker 1:
[65:37] Merch Manager Laura back in action.

Speaker 4:
[65:39] Next week, it's coming.

Speaker 1:
[65:40] It's been out of the loop, bro. I told you we haven't been working on ELR.

Speaker 4:
[65:43] Y'all talked about this in the group?

Speaker 6:
[65:44] Yes, it's coming.

Speaker 4:
[65:46] I didn't even get approval. I didn't get to look at it.

Speaker 1:
[65:59] Just don't call it a podcast.
