[00:01] The 2nd Date Update with TJ, Amanda & JRod on KJ103.
Speaker 2:
[00:06] Hi, Amy from OKC. Welcome to the 2nd Date Update. Hi.
Speaker 3:
[00:10] Hi.
Speaker 2:
[00:11] Got to get you another date with Curtis. You stalked him through a friend. Is that a good way to say it?
Speaker 3:
[00:16] Oh, wow, okay. Yeah. I wouldn't say stalked, but I was with my friend Jenna, and we were at the farmer's market. We ran into Curtis.
Speaker 2:
[00:26] Okay.
Speaker 3:
[00:26] He's already a friend of hers. So I was like, wow, who is that? He was super cute, like in a nerdy way. So I didn't say anything at that moment. But later on, I told Jenna that I wanted his info. Then we started messaging and eventually we went out. Good so far. Right. So he's got this $100 gift card for Outback. Oh, fancy. And I was just like, oh, wow, it's been a while, but okay, I'm not going to judge. Okay, you went to Outback.
Speaker 2:
[01:00] Free steak dinner.
Speaker 3:
[01:01] Right. Who doesn't love the blooming onion, right?
Speaker 2:
[01:04] Yeah. Okay.
Speaker 4:
[01:06] Or that bread. Okay.
Speaker 2:
[01:07] So, okay.
Speaker 3:
[01:09] Yeah. So he's like, you know, let's go all out. And I was like, all right, no problem. You know.
Speaker 2:
[01:14] But now you're on the 2nd Date Update.
Speaker 3:
[01:16] Okay. So at the end of the night, he hugs me and said, you know, we'll be in touch. And that's it. I'm like, I haven't heard from him.
Speaker 2:
[01:23] Okay. Okay. So he has not been in touch. All right. So you know how it works. We'll get Curtis on the phone and we'll just ask him, what's the deal? And then hopefully get you another date. Okay.
Speaker 3:
[01:35] Hopefully.
Speaker 2:
[01:35] Okay. No rules. Just write.
Speaker 3:
[01:37] Second Date Update.
Speaker 2:
[01:38] See, that's a slogan. It's Outback thing. We're going to see if we can get you, that bloke and you, Sheila, back together.
Speaker 3:
[01:48] Oh, wow.
Speaker 2:
[01:48] Okay. Hold on a second, Amy. We'll take a break, play a couple of songs, get this figured out, the 2nd Date Update, KJ 103, TJ Amanda and JRod in the morning.
Speaker 1:
[01:58] This is TJ Amanda and JRod's 2nd Date Update on KJ 103.
Speaker 2:
[02:02] We got Curtis on the 2nd Date Update. How's it going, Curtis?
Speaker 4:
[02:04] Hey, Curtis. Hey, how's it going?
Speaker 2:
[02:07] Trying to figure out why you don't want another date with Amy. I understand you had this beautiful date at Outback. Oh, delicious. So yummy. Bloomin onion, coconut shrimp, steak. You guys don't seem to have a date in your future. Why are you avoiding it, Curtis?
Speaker 4:
[02:26] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[02:28] Oh, no. That doesn't sound good at all, man.
Speaker 4:
[02:31] I really wasn't going to say anything, but, okay, so she ordered her food and she got, you know, she got this big old filet mignon, and she got some fries and mac and cheese, you know, and all that's fine. I love all those foods, but she took all that food, she cut up the steak, and then she just mixed it all together, like, like some kind of, I don't know, weird casserole, just like, you know, just mushed everything together. And then to make it even worse, like she asked for ketchup, that she was just going to top all over the whole thing.
Speaker 2:
[03:07] So gross, man. I was on board until the ketchup, I don't know. So you're saying she took the steak, well, Amy, okay, come on in here, Amy. Did you take the steak, the fries, the mac and cheese, mix it all together, put some ketchup in there?
Speaker 4:
[03:20] And mash it up like a casserole?
Speaker 2:
[03:22] Turn a nice steak dinner into like slop?
Speaker 3:
[03:24] What is this? Are you serious? This is what this is about? I mean, come on.
Speaker 4:
[03:30] If you want to cut a piece of steak and then maybe put like, you know, a little like maybe dunk it in the mac and cheese, I don't know, but you just put it all together.
Speaker 3:
[03:39] Yeah.
Speaker 4:
[03:39] It was like I was eating like a toddler. Like I was waiting to ask me to cut your steak for you.
Speaker 3:
[03:45] Oh, whatever. That's ridiculous. It was delicious.
Speaker 1:
[03:49] Also, like efficient.
Speaker 2:
[03:50] I give her points for efficiency and creativity. I'm kind of on Amy's side on this one. So you're like, it's my food, I'll execute eating it the way I want.
Speaker 4:
[04:02] I think it sounds smart. I kind of want to do that right now.
Speaker 3:
[04:04] I'm inspired.
Speaker 2:
[04:05] Amy though, you're out. Amy, I will say, though, you're out having a steak dinner and you turned it into, like he said, like a toddler meal.
Speaker 3:
[04:13] I don't know.
Speaker 4:
[04:14] It was a pie.
Speaker 3:
[04:17] It's like hamburger helper, but with steak, you know? Like steak helper.
Speaker 1:
[04:21] It reminds me of one of those KFC bowls where they just throw everything in the bowl.
Speaker 2:
[04:25] No thanks. I'm out on that.
Speaker 4:
[04:26] That's fast food.
Speaker 3:
[04:28] That's a fast food meal.
Speaker 4:
[04:31] We're at an Outback. Like this is a nice restaurant. A nice restaurant?
Speaker 3:
[04:37] Get over yourself. It's Outback.
Speaker 2:
[04:40] It's so true, by the way.
Speaker 1:
[04:42] It's like get over yourself. That's great.
Speaker 3:
[04:45] But you're not going to do that in a fancy restaurant. No. Are you sure about that?
Speaker 4:
[04:50] Because with you, I don't know.
Speaker 2:
[04:53] Curtis doesn't believe you. Amy, I don't know if I believe you either. And I don't have a problem with what you did. I think you found a way to ruin a filet mignon, but do what you want to do. So Curtis, is that...
Speaker 3:
[05:09] They are sitting there eating wings and sucking on their fingertips. No, you're talking about different things.
Speaker 2:
[05:14] Okay. All right. Amy does not play any games. Okay. Curtis, any chance you want to go out with her again or no?
Speaker 4:
[05:22] I don't think so. No, I don't want to look out and like, like I said, look like I'm feeding a toddler I don't want to go out with him anymore.
Speaker 2:
[05:32] She was on the fence and now she's like, no. Amy doesn't want to date you either, Curtis. She has mixed up feelings. Curtis, we're going to let you go. Thanks for coming out. We appreciate you, buddy.
Speaker 4:
[05:42] No, I appreciate it. Thank you.
Speaker 2:
[05:43] All right. Bye. Okay. Amy, I like how you like it. I don't care. I'm going to do my thing. I don't even care.
Speaker 3:
[05:50] Curtis, it's just Outback. Give me a break.
Speaker 2:
[05:52] Okay. Get over yourself for a few seconds. You're going to make it taste less salty somehow. Hey, I'll say it again. Outback, no rules. Just rights.
Speaker 4:
[06:00] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[06:01] Bye, Amy. Thanks for coming out on the second Date Update. All right. And I don't know what you think about this, but I'd be like, what are you doing?
Speaker 4:
[06:07] What are you doing?
Speaker 2:
[06:10] This is a perfectly good steak. I mean, it's not about ruining the steak. It's just like, what are we doing here? What are we doing? Making something delicious. In one bite. Yeah, that's what we're doing. Out of filet mignon. Yeah, that's a good piece of meat. Alright, feel free to chime in on the second date update if you want.
