Speaker 1:
[00:00] Now, here's a highlight from Coast to Coast AM on iHeart Radio.

Speaker 2:
[00:05] And welcome back to Coast to Coast, George Noory with you, Rick Wagner here, author, writer, creator, and life coach with more than 20 years of experience helping clients navigate personal and spiritual challenges. He is known for his emphatic and intuitive approach as he offers guidance, emotional insight, and deep spiritual awareness. Rick was originally drawn to horror storytelling and shifted toward comedy after discovering the toll it took on him. His latest book is called My Daily Accomplishment Journal. He's got a new one coming out called June Street. We'll talk about that. And his website is linked up at coasttocoastam.com. Rick, welcome back to the program.

Speaker 3:
[00:47] What a great introduction. I want to meet that guy.

Speaker 2:
[00:51] He's a good guy. He's been around for a while. 20 some years, my friend. That's pretty good. Well, thank you. How many times have you been on the show now? At least several, right?

Speaker 3:
[01:03] I was just looking, and I had a little card here. This is my fourth, I think.

Speaker 2:
[01:09] Good for you. And your first...

Speaker 3:
[01:11] Yeah, but there's always with Lisa. It's the first time I got George.

Speaker 2:
[01:14] That's right. Lisa loves you, thinks the world of you. But when you were on with it the first time, you had an interesting experience, didn't you?

Speaker 3:
[01:24] Um, refresh my memories.

Speaker 2:
[01:28] Well, something happened in the first time you were on the show.

Speaker 3:
[01:33] Well, we both had near-death experiences, so we shared that story.

Speaker 2:
[01:38] Tell us yours.

Speaker 3:
[01:41] Oh, okay. This is the first chapter of my book, which is called My Haunted Reality. And I was in Hollywood. I was going to the gyms of years ago. We didn't have to wear helmets. And I was going down Sunset Boulevard and turned off to a side street, and a woman pulled out of a parking lot and hit me head on. I was thrown 50 feet in the air, landed on my head on the pavement, was paralyzed from the neck down. The car was totaled and my motorcycle was totaled. When the paramedics got there, they asked me, who put your gym bag under your head? Now, granted, I might have been in a state, but this is what I saw, and this is how I explained it in the book. I saw my grandmother's face and her hands take the gym bag from behind me and put it in front of me.

Speaker 2:
[02:37] Oh my.

Speaker 3:
[02:37] My head landed on the gym bag. They brought me to Cedar Sinai, and I spent the night with MRIs and CAT scans, and the next morning, four ER doctors were there, and they said, well, first of all, you should be dead. You should have severed your spine, fractured your skull. There should have been multiple internal injuries. They found none. They said what freaked them out most of all, there was no blood. I went 50 feet on pavement, and my main concern was that my motorcycle was destroyed. So it took me a while to go, okay, I'm alive. Thank you.

Speaker 2:
[03:18] Thank you. Thank you.

Speaker 3:
[03:19] So that's when Lisa shared her near death experience also with me.

Speaker 2:
[03:24] But you didn't have blood pouring from your body at all?

Speaker 3:
[03:28] No. I must have been like Gumby or something. I don't know. It's just I bounced. And the terrifying thing was I was lying on the street. I could lift my head. I couldn't move anything else. I also couldn't feel any pain. So I didn't know if anything was broken.

Speaker 2:
[03:51] What did you learn from that experience, Rick?

Speaker 3:
[03:56] Well, now that you say that, the first thing is gratitude. I mean, my first reaction was I was upset at the loss of my motorcycle and how did this happen? What was, why wasn't I paying attention? But it, it transforms your life into, and every morning I get on the ground and I'm just doing some yoga stretches and I say thank you for everything right now. I'm just big on gratitude.

Speaker 2:
[04:28] You're a changed person, aren't you?

Speaker 3:
[04:30] Yeah, and it did open the door to, I've always had intuitive feelings and thoughts and messages and but I went to school for engineering. I had a science background. So my left brain was fighting with my right brain all the time. And getting those intuitive thoughts and those messages on how do I know this? How do I know this? So I just started listening to myself more after the accident. So my clients, then it became a level up. It wasn't just about life coaching. It became more about... Let's see what's going on on a deeper level. Let's see what energies you're attracting. We hold on to emotions and energies in our muscles and our organs. So some of the clearings I do will go deep into the tissues and say, okay, any of the energies and emotions inside do not need to be here. They're going to be dissolved away. So the organs and tissues and muscles can function as they're supposed to function.

Speaker 2:
[05:37] Rick, what made you shift from being a paranormal writer to a comedy writer?

Speaker 3:
[05:45] Okay. I love to teach. I was teaching classes on the cruise ship down in New Zealand. And I was teaching a class on why are you bringing your stresses with you on vacation? Corporate said, people aren't stressing. They're on vacation. I said, oh, excuse me. There's 250 people here. I can't get out of my class because they have so many questions for me. I was the first person approved for enrichment class teaching on a cruise ship, which was really wonderful. So it's all about education. Can you educate someone, George, through fear? I'm going to scare the crap out of you and you're going to learn how to do this. And I thought, I'm trying to write. I've written three TV pilots and one's called The Ghost Doctor. And the second one was The Life Coach about a life coach that authors a book about embracing the unknown and attracts clients with their paranormal problems. And I was writing it as a horror story and I couldn't sleep at night. I'm waking up. There's things at the bottom of my bed. I'm having horror stories and I said, laughter is the best medicine. I'm really good with comedy. And if my thing is we can only hold on to one emotion at a time. And if I can make you laugh, you're not thinking about jumping off the roof. So the stories in The Life Coach in the vertical micro comedy series that I wrote, these are all true stories of my client stories. I have over 10 journals from 20 years of all of my client stories that will blow your mind. You know, we don't, we see people on the street. We don't know what they're carrying inside of them. Yeah, they might have some problems at home, some financial problems, but through the opening of the door of like Coast to Coast, what they did for me, the hundreds and hundreds of emails I got and all of the clients and the stories and what people are dealing, it's astounding.

Speaker 2:
[07:57] It really is. And how do you justify it? What do you think is going on?

Speaker 3:
[08:03] Yikes. Okay. Well, there's a realization. I mean, years ago, you would be institutionalized. You know, and now I think we're looking at alternative matters. Oh, can I tell you a story? Yes, absolutely. This happened after my first appearance on the show. I got so many calls, I couldn't get back to everybody. This woman was so persistent. She called and called and called and she was leaving messages. She said, I believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and you, Rick Wagner, and you have to save me. And I'm like, um, well, it's an awfully high level there. I don't know if I can do this. I finally had a conversation with her. She had pain shooting down from her head through her spine into her feet. They did MRIs and CAT scans and all kinds of analysis on her. The doctors could find nothing. Her husband was going to medicate her and put her in an institution. She tells me, if he does that, I'm going to kill myself. I said, okay, let's take a deeper look and see what's going on. I do the energy clearings with her and pulling out energies and things that were trapped inside of her energy parasites and all of this. And each time she would be good for like two days and then four days and then a week and then two weeks. George, after six months, I still have the voicemail message from her husband. He said, Rick, I don't know what you did, but thank you for giving me back my wife. Wow. So, you know, my science mind goes, okay, energies and restrictions and contractions and, blood flow and all of this is something. There's, well, besides just energies, there's spiritual energies too. But that was such a great example. And that happened after the first interview I had on Coast to Coast radio.

Speaker 4:
[10:06] And I know you're going to want some after hearing this. This is an amazing story.

Speaker 5:
[10:09] We've got Stephen and Malachi Gregory in Nelson, New Zealand.

Speaker 4:
[10:14] I understand that Malachi, who's eight, almost nine years old now, was suffering with not just one or two warts, but I mean a significant outbreak of warts all over his body, so significant it impacted his ability to really function.

Speaker 6:
[10:27] Yeah, he was having trouble even holding a pencil to write. It was Ty's book, actually, that got me thinking about it.

Speaker 5:
[10:33] I'm not surprised. It is an amazing immunomodulator. And so I can see that it would work.

Speaker 4:
[10:39] And so at what point did you see that there was actually improvement? It's really going to work.

Speaker 6:
[10:44] Well, look, we really started to notice it around 12 weeks. You can see these things actually getting smaller and smaller and then going down to where they're just little red marks. The whole things are gone. And we're talking about once, you know, one the size of a Warner. I thought no way that's going to wow. It's just been miraculous to see him get into a pair of shoes.

Speaker 4:
[11:04] Yes. How wonderful.

Speaker 6:
[11:06] It's great to see him so happy and confident.

Speaker 4:
[11:08] Absolutely wonderful.

Speaker 6:
[11:10] Friends that have seen it. That is blown away.

Speaker 4:
[11:12] Ty, this is awesome.

Speaker 6:
[11:13] Yeah, this is awesome.

Speaker 2:
[11:14] Another amazing story.

Speaker 4:
[11:15] Why?

Speaker 2:
[11:16] We're talking about Carnivora. Call them to awaken your immune system and protect yourself now. Call 1-866-836-8735. That's 1-866-836-8735. Or visit carnavora.com, C-A-R-N-I-V-O-R-A, carnavora.com. Did it surprise you that you affected somebody like that?

Speaker 3:
[11:45] It's interesting because when I'm doing the work, when I'm doing the clearing and I'm connecting, I don't see it. And I get these clients all the time. I've had clients for years, and we'll do another clearing, and I'll say, okay, we're exploring this.

Speaker 2:
[12:03] I go, what is this?

Speaker 3:
[12:04] Why are we getting this? I've been doing this for 20 years. It's different every single time. And again, I'm being used. I'm a vessel. I get information, I assume it's from my guides, and I connect to my client, and we connect to their energy and their guides. So I take notes. That's why I have journals. Because after the session, I won't remember the next day what we did. I have to write it down. So it does surprise me, and my science mind tries to justify it, but the fact that it works is astounding.

Speaker 2:
[12:48] Tell me about my haunted reality. Uh-huh.

Speaker 3:
[12:58] Boy, that starts with my motorcycle reality, but it goes back to when I was eight years old, and sleeping in my bedroom with my brother in Buffalo, New York, and there was something at the bottom of my bed. This was like the first time I had an experience of something else that I could see and feel. It was one of those frozen moments where you can't move anything, but I know there's something there, and it was white. It terrified me. And I would try to scream to the next room where my grandmother was sleeping, but I couldn't do anything. It was terrifying. I just kind of would cover myself up, and then I remember like a year later, my mom was showing me a picture book of the family, and this was a picture of her dad who had arthritis and was bedridden, and he's in white pajamas with white hair. And I said, Oh, that's the guy at the bottom of my bed.

Speaker 2:
[14:01] That's the guy. Yeah.

Speaker 3:
[14:03] And it dawned on me like, Oh, he's just trying to get a message to his wife, which is my grandmother in the other room. And I'm just acting like an idiot screaming like, Oh my God, you're terrifying me.

Speaker 2:
[14:16] Did these events end up going away from you and stop appearing or is it ongoing?

Speaker 3:
[14:26] It kind of transformed. And I think in the spirit world, if they know that you're terrified, they kind of pull back because that's not their intention.

Speaker 2:
[14:35] If they're not demonic.

Speaker 3:
[14:38] That's another conversation. It's one of those things that comes up all the time. People will call and say, I need an exorcist.

Speaker 2:
[14:50] Watch your language.

Speaker 3:
[14:53] Upset a spirit. And have them attached to me. So in a spirit world, who is going to be hanging around you? It's usually family and loved ones. What would a demon want? You know, it's like, oh, this demon, what do you want? Oh, well, okay. No, go away.

Speaker 2:
[15:18] They want your soul, don't they?

Speaker 3:
[15:30] No, it's one of the things I write down on the top. Get your mind out of the horror movies. Let's sit down and have a conversation. So for example, okay, somebody did call and say, I need an exorcism. So I go through the, I use fire clearings to clear the energy out of a space. And then I'll sit down and say, okay, let's see what is here. Okay, it's standing next to you. We're sitting down and it's up as high as your shoulder. And there's blonde hair and it comes up in a flip and she's wearing cat eyeglasses. He goes, that's my grandmother. Okay, you want to do an exorcism on your grandmother. The thing is people feel something unusual. They don't know how to deal with it. So they think it's a demon. And I said, no, get the fear out of there. Sit there with it and find out what's going on. What does it really feel like? Is it threatening you? Are you bleeding? No. It's your friggin grandma. So, that happens more and more often.

Speaker 2:
[16:41] But you do believe there are demonic spirits out there, don't you?

Speaker 3:
[16:45] Okay, then I got another story for you. I can't ever remember being depressed about anything.

Speaker 2:
[16:54] Well, good for you.

Speaker 3:
[16:55] I had, well, yes, but it's just like my father always had a lot of energy and was very optimistic, and his family side was great, and I think I inherited that, and I love my life. I was doing a clearing on a friend's apartment, and there was something there. And ever since then, I had this, like something was sitting on me, something was sitting on my chest. And for two days, I couldn't even get out of the apartment when I got home. I was, I was, no energy. I couldn't see anything. I couldn't do anything. I couldn't work. I finally said, I'm going to go to the bank down the street. So I walked down Sunset, went to the bank. On the way back, there was a bus flying down the street. And I go, in my mind, I heard, why don't I take a step or two over to the right? Then I can transfer into my next level of enlightenment. And I don't have to deal with this level of depression. I actually started to take a step over to walk in front of a bus. And I said, hold it. That is not me. That is not my voice. What is this? And what are they trying to show me? So when I got back to my apartment, I said, okay, tell me what this is. And there was what I was getting was, there was a spirit named Anthony who was lost, lonely and depressed, not a demon. Did not want to be alone. But because he's surrounded by this mound of depression, there weren't any spirits that wanted to deal with him. And he just couldn't, he couldn't find any light. And he saw me at that clearing somehow and he attached on to me. I'm going to save him. So I had asked him, what I do is I kind of, spiritual traffic guard, it's like, okay, you need to go here, you need to go here. I have a guy named Luke that I bring in his family. I brought in his dad. So Anthony was there with his dad, said you need to go with your family, not hang around here with me. I'm not going to join you. That was a terrible thing for you to do. You need to go join the rest of your family.

Speaker 2:
[19:19] And had the rest of the family passed on as well?

Speaker 3:
[19:22] Yeah.

Speaker 2:
[19:23] Okay.

Speaker 3:
[19:24] So I don't ask too many questions. It's like, no, you just need to go and don't attach on to human beings ever, ever again. That was the worst experience of my life. Now, as soon as it left, I was like, hi, I wanted to stand up on the roof and say, now I understand what suicide is. Now we understand where these people get this darkness from. It may not be them. It might be something that attached to them. Fascinating story.
