Speaker 1:
[00:02] This is a HeadGum Podcast.
Speaker 2:
[00:08] Welcome to the campaign after the campaign. This is Not Another D&D Podcast. Welcome back to Bohumia, everybody.
Speaker 3:
[00:20] Bohumia!
Speaker 2:
[00:22] I'm your dungeon master, Brian Murphy, joined by Jake Hurwitz.
Speaker 4:
[00:25] Do you wanna dance? Cause I blew up rants.
Speaker 2:
[00:30] And then of course, Emily Axford.
Speaker 5:
[00:32] Absolutely ripped Cyberskitch chick with a hockey stick that doesn't miss. I'm Slug Slap Dash.
Speaker 6:
[00:40] Oh my God! You guys are acting like you didn't have rhymes. She's got a goddamn poem.
Speaker 4:
[00:46] I didn't have a rhyme.
Speaker 7:
[00:47] Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2:
[00:48] I guess Emily was just being quiet. She was probably just thinking of something.
Speaker 7:
[00:51] Emily's ring in.
Speaker 6:
[00:52] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[00:53] And then of course, we've got Caldwell Tanner.
Speaker 7:
[00:55] Feeling rather lucky because of my water drinking ducky. It's Atom Rom.
Speaker 6:
[00:59] Oh, that's right.
Speaker 2:
[01:01] You did get a little water drinking gag.
Speaker 7:
[01:03] It's going right to the price counter.
Speaker 2:
[01:04] It's fun. With that, let's go ahead and do-
Speaker 7:
[01:07] It's going to keep being fun, right?
Speaker 6:
[01:09] A little recap.
Speaker 4:
[01:10] I added it to my inventory. It's a big part of my backstory now.
Speaker 2:
[01:14] Let's find out if it makes the recap.
Speaker 7:
[01:16] Why is it blinking?
Speaker 2:
[01:17] Spoiler alert, it doesn't. Last time, you finished off a mothership enforcer inside of the fifth floor conference room where Corky Glenbottle and his wolf pack were doing arcane. You stole Corky's key card, his motorcycle fobs, and made it look like he pissed himself before throwing him in the closet.
Speaker 4:
[01:34] Piss comes back.
Speaker 2:
[01:36] Then you headed down to the first floor where Petunia Glenbottle was addressing her supporters, giving a disturbing speech that implied mothership would be spreading to the other zones in the coming year. Afterwards, an overzealous fan tried to jump the barrier and was brutally killed by the ultra-powerful cyborg, the prototype. Meanwhile, Slug obscured herself amongst the crowd using her reach to secure a handshake and thus a fingerprint from Petunia.
Speaker 7:
[02:02] Best use of reach I've ever seen.
Speaker 5:
[02:03] Yeah, seriously. Going into a rage for a handshake is a new one for me.
Speaker 2:
[02:08] Only non-violent use of reach ever, maybe?
Speaker 7:
[02:12] Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[02:12] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[02:13] Hey, talk about a pole arm, am I right?
Speaker 5:
[02:15] There you go.
Speaker 2:
[02:15] Nice. You snuck up to the 13th floor where you engaged two elite mothership knights who seem to be in a complicated situation ship. After defeating them, you entered Petunia's office and investigated her computer where you found some troubling information. Implication that R3, the leader of the jailbreakers, may have been hacked. Payments to a shell company called the Underground Ironworks Coalition, and plans for expansion into Zone 1, including a refurbished arcade fun zone. You searched the bookcase, and after placing the books in the correct order, managed to find the safe hidden behind. You used Petunia's fingerprint to open it, but did not find 10 million credits inside, but instead a chip. Aux placed it inside a reader to try to get a better idea of its capabilities and learn that this was a powerful weapon called the administrator chip. This would allow a person to potentially psychically control the machines and augmented people around them. More troubling if that person were to die after being given administrative access, it's possible that everything in their vicinity might shut down as well. Suddenly, the room went into lockdown. Inspector announced that Petunia must have gotten pinged when her safe was opened. She and the prototype began heading towards her office as an iron door and iron shades covered the escape ways. That's where we are now.
Speaker 7:
[03:34] Do we have to be?
Speaker 2:
[03:36] Everything has shut down. Everything has gone dark in here. There's just a little bit of a red light where security personnel would be able to see and hear. The door has locked down, sliced right through the dudes that you put in the way. The windows have been covered by metal coverings. I'm going to go ahead and say, let's go ahead and roll initiative.
Speaker 5:
[03:54] Okay. 19.
Speaker 7:
[03:58] 16.
Speaker 4:
[03:59] 18.
Speaker 5:
[04:00] Okay. Do we want to go out through the window or the door? Because they both got their dangers.
Speaker 7:
[04:06] I think that going through the door would involve having to go through a lot more guards. So I think I'm probably thinking window.
Speaker 5:
[04:12] All right.
Speaker 4:
[04:13] I can handle the window.
Speaker 7:
[04:14] Guys, I'm so fucking pissed that there weren't credits in there. This sucks.
Speaker 5:
[04:19] How are we going to get this?
Speaker 7:
[04:20] A little chip? I can just go to the Best Buy and buy one of these. This sucks.
Speaker 2:
[04:24] You for sure can't. You for sure can't.
Speaker 1:
[04:26] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[04:26] How are we going to get the kill screen kiddos? Uniforms away and home.
Speaker 2:
[04:31] I don't know, but if you don't get this out of Mothership's hands, the whole city is just going to be murdered. This has unfortunately become an ideological heist as opposed to a monetary one.
Speaker 1:
[04:40] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[04:40] All right. Oh great, there's so many ethics involved.
Speaker 2:
[04:43] Okay, Slug, your first act.
Speaker 5:
[04:45] Okay, so would you say that it's been 10 minutes because that's how long a rage can last if you're using your bonus action to keep it going?
Speaker 2:
[04:53] I'll allow a little bit of bullshit and say that 10 minutes is fair. You guys are probably doing all this stuff pretty quick.
Speaker 5:
[04:58] Okay, so I'm in a rage. I'm gonna switch to my reconstruction serum so that I get to regain a pit die at the top because I think we're gonna be jumping out this window.
Speaker 2:
[05:09] Oh, yes.
Speaker 5:
[05:10] Oh, yeah. And then I'm going up to this huge grate on the window and I'm just gonna, Oh, okay. Day deep try to open it up.
Speaker 2:
[05:18] All right, here's what I'll say.
Speaker 5:
[05:19] Try to lift it.
Speaker 2:
[05:20] This thing essentially has a damaged threshold and is super heavy, but if you wanna just brute force it and try to just get a foot or two up so you guys can just smash the window and try to squeeze out, let's say DC 18 plus a D6. I'm gonna roll the D6 in front of the table.
Speaker 4:
[05:39] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[05:42] That's a four, that's a DC 22 to lift this thing.
Speaker 4:
[05:46] You're already rolling this with advantage.
Speaker 5:
[05:47] Since I got two attacks, can I do it twice?
Speaker 2:
[05:50] I'll let you do it twice, yeah.
Speaker 5:
[05:51] Got a plus eight to my athletics. Got it on the first one, 26.
Speaker 2:
[06:00] You see Slug, and Slug is one of the fucking, probably the strongest person you guys know. You see Slug has the vials going, you see they start to empty as they go into her body, veins pulsing as she lifts, doing a deadlift, just like impossible. You see sparks going up.
Speaker 5:
[06:19] I got a syringe just hanging out the side of my mouth like a cigarette.
Speaker 2:
[06:24] And you see she manages to pull it up only like a couple feet. So she gets like one window like half the way up or at least the middle grate under it is still like hard glass.
Speaker 1:
[06:35] Since that was my first attack, can I try it again?
Speaker 2:
[06:37] You can make a second attack to like try to punch through it or use your hockey stick.
Speaker 5:
[06:40] I kind of just want to get it even up even higher.
Speaker 2:
[06:43] Okay, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7:
[06:44] I take all of the used syringes and put them in a safe box.
Speaker 5:
[06:49] I don't get it on the second one. So good, we're good at this.
Speaker 2:
[06:52] You got a couple of keys.
Speaker 4:
[06:53] We can squeeze.
Speaker 6:
[06:54] You guys can get through.
Speaker 2:
[06:55] Okay, after Slug's turn, that's Aux's turn.
Speaker 4:
[06:57] I pull out the sawed-off blunderbuss and I unload on the window.
Speaker 2:
[07:02] Sweet, go ahead and give me an attack roll.
Speaker 4:
[07:07] 14.
Speaker 2:
[07:07] Hits, go ahead and do damage. There's a damage threshold, but if you meet the damage threshold, you are just gonna smash this window.
Speaker 4:
[07:13] 16 on the first attack.
Speaker 2:
[07:14] 16 damage, smash it.
Speaker 7:
[07:17] All right.
Speaker 2:
[07:18] And you guys see, you look down, you're up on the 13th floor. So I'll say, this is, we'll just keep it simple. We'll say, you're 130 feet up. Okay.
Speaker 7:
[07:27] That's pretty high.
Speaker 2:
[07:29] Pretty fucking high.
Speaker 5:
[07:30] That's a lot.
Speaker 2:
[07:32] So yeah, you look out, you break the window open, fresh air starts pouring in. You hear the sounds of the city and see people like ants below you.
Speaker 4:
[07:42] Okay. The wind blows me back and I stagger towards the open window.
Speaker 2:
[07:45] Oh, fuck.
Speaker 7:
[07:45] There's Donaton. He's littering again.
Speaker 2:
[07:47] Aux, give me a- He's just down there pissing on the street. Go ahead and give me a perception check.
Speaker 7:
[07:54] All right.
Speaker 4:
[07:55] Only an eight.
Speaker 2:
[07:56] Okay. You don't see anything other than what I just described.
Speaker 5:
[07:59] Fire escape? We talking about a fire escape?
Speaker 4:
[08:03] I got something I've been working on. I have these tiny little jet packs for everybody.
Speaker 5:
[08:09] What?
Speaker 4:
[08:09] I can cast Feather Fall.
Speaker 7:
[08:11] Oh, so sick.
Speaker 4:
[08:12] Whoa. What this is. So I pop open Rova. I'm like, hey, I got everybody presents. I got you new backpacks.
Speaker 5:
[08:22] Oh, and that's great because we don't have to wait for your turn because that's a reaction.
Speaker 4:
[08:26] Oh, it is.
Speaker 7:
[08:27] That's right. Wow. You've been holding out on me. These would be perfect for the prize counter.
Speaker 4:
[08:31] Yeah. Well, I've still perfected them. I'm not 100% sure they work. What? I think they'll be fine.
Speaker 2:
[08:37] So the way Featherfall is going to work, Featherfall is a reaction. So you are able to cast it on everybody this turn. Are you jumping this turn, Aux?
Speaker 4:
[08:47] Yeah. I'm going to jump for it.
Speaker 2:
[08:49] Aux jumps.
Speaker 4:
[08:50] Strap one on Rover too.
Speaker 2:
[08:51] You and Rover jump out. You begin making your way down after Aux. That is Adam's turn.
Speaker 7:
[08:59] Okay. So I'll just jump on. Now I'll jump.
Speaker 2:
[09:02] You may also jump out. Okay. It is not Slug's turn yet, so Slug will act at the top of the round.
Speaker 7:
[09:06] Actually, this might not do anything, but I want to just do a quick search to see if I see a camera in this room.
Speaker 2:
[09:12] Okay. Go ahead and give me a perception check.
Speaker 7:
[09:16] Oh shit. Just a six.
Speaker 2:
[09:17] You don't see anything.
Speaker 7:
[09:18] Fuck. Okay. I flip off the room in general.
Speaker 2:
[09:22] Great.
Speaker 7:
[09:23] Then I jump out and say, see you at the bottom, bitches. Cool.
Speaker 2:
[09:27] You jump out, your guys' backpacks ignite, and there's sort of these like underpowered jet packs that can just like make it so you fall slow. So it's kind of terrifying. Like you free fall like 20 feet and then shoot up a little bit.
Speaker 4:
[09:42] I told you I still working on it.
Speaker 2:
[09:43] Free fall, like really hurt your back as you shoot straight back up.
Speaker 7:
[09:47] This is not safe for children.
Speaker 2:
[09:49] Atom and Aux, as you guys fall and land on the ground outside, you look up and see four mothership knights that were on the roof, repel down and start to get ready to swing into the office. However, we have said that it's only like two feet, so they're not in yet, but you see they're repelled and ready to, they ready actions to swing on anyone else that's coming through. Okay, so Slug, that is your turn.
Speaker 5:
[10:18] I've been waiting too long to skydive. I'm just going to try to dive right through them. They will have disadvantage on opportunity attacks against me because I'm speedy.
Speaker 2:
[10:28] Okay, you see these four Mothership Knights, actually, it probably doesn't make sense for four of them to sit there and wait. They see you guys feather falling. So I'll say three of them are going to repel down and try to follow you guys and just one will wait. So one is going to take a crack at you as you come through the window.
Speaker 5:
[10:46] Oh, okay.
Speaker 2:
[10:48] They miss.
Speaker 5:
[10:49] Okay, so I want to jump out and then on the way down, because I still got an action, can I turn around and with my hunting rifle, shoot up at them?
Speaker 2:
[10:58] Okay, yeah. You can shoot up at them. You can also. So the wire has high AC because it's small, but if you shoot the wire, it's a one shot kill. Oh, AC 24 hard to do.
Speaker 5:
[11:10] Could I try to hook it with my hockey stick on the way down?
Speaker 2:
[11:12] Either one. It's just a 24 to break it.
Speaker 5:
[11:17] I just fucking crit again.
Speaker 2:
[11:18] Oh my God. Okay.
Speaker 6:
[11:19] And I didn't even have advantage that time.
Speaker 2:
[11:21] All right.
Speaker 5:
[11:22] Well, with a 19.
Speaker 2:
[11:23] You cut through one of their repel lines.
Speaker 1:
[11:26] Fuck yeah!
Speaker 6:
[11:27] Haven't you always wanted a skydive?
Speaker 2:
[11:30] One of them falls all the way down. You guys get down there faster with Feather Fall than these guys get down repelling.
Speaker 7:
[11:37] I wave as the guy falls past us.
Speaker 2:
[11:39] You see, they're not in full panic mode yet in the building. They just like tried to lock down that one room. Petunia looked like she maybe underestimated you guys or didn't know what was going on. Tried to lock you guys down while keeping the party going. So you see the party goers are mostly out of the loop. There's just people hanging around outside, but you do see soldiers are assembling and some of them are starting to run out of the entrance. But just as they are, you see three sleek blue mothership motorcycles glowing with like purple blast shields. Oh, and they've got stickers on them that say the Wolf Pack with howling wolves.
Speaker 4:
[12:17] Dibs on the fast one.
Speaker 2:
[12:20] They're all fast, baby.
Speaker 5:
[12:23] I need to get on that.
Speaker 7:
[12:24] Do we see the other names of the Wolf Pack? Are they like personalized?
Speaker 2:
[12:27] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[12:28] So we got Rance. We've got, what?
Speaker 2:
[12:30] Ridge. Ridge.
Speaker 3:
[12:31] And Duskin. I call Ridge.
Speaker 7:
[12:35] Jibs Duskin.
Speaker 4:
[12:36] I think I earned Rance's.
Speaker 2:
[12:39] You guys. Terrible motorcycle sounds. But you take off on your motorcycles through the busy street in zone six. You're just like weaving through people, just like going around the party. You see there's people diving out of the way. You're juking through like outdoor dining areas and going down stairways, essentially driving a motorcycle through Times Square. As you turn onto the main road towards like zone five and get out of Mothership territory. You see three Mothership Knights in blue armor take a hairpin turn from the parking garage and pursue you. Overhead you see three Mothership drones are buzzing and begin shooting lasers at you. I'm going to go ahead and roll initiative for those guys, but you guys stay in the same initiative. Okay.
Speaker 5:
[13:25] Yeah, can I be staying in the mix with them so that they're getting my maddening fumes?
Speaker 2:
[13:30] Totally. Yeah, you guys are, the Wolf Pack rides together.
Speaker 5:
[13:34] Wolf Pack rides together.
Speaker 4:
[13:36] Except Rance did try to run away from them.
Speaker 2:
[13:38] Yeah, he certainly did.
Speaker 7:
[13:39] Almost instantly.
Speaker 5:
[13:40] It is actually potentially a disadvantage if they have area of effect stuff, so we could ride not together if we wanted.
Speaker 4:
[13:47] No, we gotta stick together.
Speaker 5:
[13:47] We gotta stick together.
Speaker 7:
[13:49] Stay close.
Speaker 2:
[13:49] Okay, so first things first. These guys enter the battlefield, start chasing you. Looks like they got radioed, that there's people that need to be pursued. At initiative 20, mothership snipers from nearby rooftops are going to take six shots at you guys. They just start pinging down lasers. I'm gonna go ahead and make two attacks on each one of you. You guys just see like, oh yeah, we just gotta outrun these guys and suddenly laser sights start appearing on you. They just own this whole section of town. So you guys are getting shot at. We'll start with Atom.
Speaker 7:
[14:21] We didn't even steal money. Why are you mad?
Speaker 2:
[14:23] One is gonna hit.
Speaker 7:
[14:24] Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and use skin of my teeth. This is a reaction. It's a wrist dice. I'm gonna add, let's see. Fuck, one to my AC, which makes it 19 to still hit.
Speaker 2:
[14:35] 26 hits you directly in the head.
Speaker 7:
[14:38] I tried to shoot it with my gun.
Speaker 2:
[14:41] 18 damage.
Speaker 7:
[14:42] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[14:43] Next one, we're going after Aux, shooting at you as you're riding.
Speaker 4:
[14:47] Hey, whoa.
Speaker 2:
[14:48] That's one hit.
Speaker 4:
[14:49] What was it?
Speaker 2:
[14:50] Just three damage. It grazes you. Oh, all right.
Speaker 7:
[14:55] Why did you get the easy bullet?
Speaker 2:
[14:56] You're a much bigger target. You see just one super serious looking sniper is shooting at Atom, and you see a real nervous guy on his first day.
Speaker 6:
[15:07] Oh, jeez. I didn't think anyone was going to come by.
Speaker 4:
[15:10] Stand down.
Speaker 2:
[15:12] Then two more are going to come at our girl, Slug. That is 17. Does 17 hit you?
Speaker 4:
[15:19] No, it does not.
Speaker 2:
[15:20] Misses.
Speaker 6:
[15:20] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[15:20] So one miss, one hit, two damage.
Speaker 6:
[15:24] Oh, so it's straight up two D10s, so it can be like one type of damage.
Speaker 2:
[15:28] Piercing.
Speaker 6:
[15:29] One damage.
Speaker 2:
[15:30] One damage, okay. Just two real nervous, yeah, like on top of the M&M store.
Speaker 5:
[15:38] I'm like hunched over my motorcycle and it like hits me in the back in a way that I'm like, oh shit, I think you got a knot out of my back.
Speaker 4:
[15:46] Thanks for that.
Speaker 5:
[15:46] That opens something up.
Speaker 2:
[15:48] Okay.
Speaker 7:
[15:48] Guys, Duskin is hurt.
Speaker 2:
[15:49] Enough. Okay, after that, that is Initiative 19, which is Slug. Okay, so Slug, on this motorcycle, you guys are out of range of these snipers now, but you do hear alarms are going up throughout the city now, like other Mothership Knights will join. For now, you have three knights pursuing you on motorcycle and three drones.
Speaker 5:
[16:11] Anyone close by?
Speaker 2:
[16:12] Yeah, I'll say, I mean, they're engaging with you, you can fall back and go after them if you want. I'm not going to make you guys use like dash actions or anything like that. Essentially, you just have to clear out the people around you, and then we'll say you escape.
Speaker 5:
[16:24] Cool. I'm going to fall back and attack someone's motorcycle.
Speaker 6:
[16:26] Sick.
Speaker 2:
[16:27] You hit the brakes and appear right next to them.
Speaker 6:
[16:30] I want to hit the brakes so they run right into me.
Speaker 2:
[16:34] So go ahead and make some attacks.
Speaker 5:
[16:36] I'm going to attack recklessly.
Speaker 2:
[16:38] Sick. You pull up next Cloud Strife style, start swinging down on him.
Speaker 5:
[16:42] Sorry.
Speaker 2:
[16:43] Did you crit again?
Speaker 5:
[16:44] It's the 19. It's just the 19.
Speaker 6:
[16:46] Because I recklessly attack him.
Speaker 2:
[16:48] All right. With advantage.
Speaker 4:
[16:50] Don't apologize for that.
Speaker 5:
[16:53] 27 damage on the crit. Give me a con save.
Speaker 2:
[16:57] Quite hurt. These guys are not as tough as the red ones. These are regular knights. Con save, it'll knock him prone.
Speaker 5:
[17:04] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[17:04] If he falls prone, he falls off.
Speaker 5:
[17:06] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[17:06] OK. So I'll roll this in front of the table. He gets a plus three to this roll. Got to get a 16. So 13 or higher, he stays on. Otherwise, he falls off his motorcycle and gets so hurt.
Speaker 7:
[17:16] Save the motorcycle.
Speaker 2:
[17:18] 13 exactly. He manages to stay on. OK. He like falls backwards, takes his hand off the bike. It starts to wobble.
Speaker 5:
[17:26] Still attacking recklessly. That's a 24.
Speaker 2:
[17:29] 24 hits.
Speaker 5:
[17:31] 15 more slashing damage and another con save.
Speaker 2:
[17:34] OK. This guy is quite hurt. He's beyond bloodied at this point. And fails. So super bloodied, super hurt. Let's use the use the self-drive mode. You see it's an emergency, so the roads are a little different. So the bike just drives directly into an ambulance. It explodes and he dies.
Speaker 5:
[17:54] And because of my great weapon master, I get a bonus action attack.
Speaker 2:
[17:57] Great.
Speaker 5:
[17:58] On another guy.
Speaker 2:
[17:58] OK. Yeah. Two more guys next to you.
Speaker 5:
[18:00] Oh, my God. This one's in that 20. Just look at it.
Speaker 6:
[18:05] I'm not looking at it.
Speaker 7:
[18:06] Quit getting mad at her.
Speaker 2:
[18:08] You don't believe her, man.
Speaker 5:
[18:09] Oh, I rolled kind of poorly on the dice, though. OK, so it is 22 damage, 22 slashing, and another Constitution save.
Speaker 2:
[18:18] Jesus. Roll in front of the table. He's going to go into self-driving mode, which is a dead center. Nat 20. You get one, too. You hit him so that he takes a more serious pose. He lets go of his sword. Right, two hands, two hands.
Speaker 7:
[18:39] He remembers driving school.
Speaker 2:
[18:40] So he's very hurt, but stays standing. That is Aux's turn.
Speaker 4:
[18:45] Ten and two, bud. I'm going to turn and face that guy, hit my helmet, and get the LCD eye mask up. And I'm going to stare at his engine on the motorcycle and cast heat metal.
Speaker 2:
[18:59] Okay.
Speaker 7:
[19:01] Oh, so fun.
Speaker 4:
[19:03] So yeah, like almost like zero in on it and create like a mishap within the engine.
Speaker 2:
[19:06] Okay. So let's say, we'll say you're essentially targeting him because his bike is like, will be heating up. So it'll be whether or not he can take it.
Speaker 7:
[19:14] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[19:14] As if he falls off the bike.
Speaker 4:
[19:15] So it's a con save. 16.
Speaker 2:
[19:17] Okay. DC 16. I'll roll in front of the table. 13 or higher. He saves. 18 passes. So you see, not only is this guy a 10 and 2, not 10 and 2 on a motorcycle, he's weirdly 10 and 2 on a motorcycle. Then also he has a nice heating pad. You hear him, he quivers a little bit.
Speaker 4:
[19:37] Oh my God, he likes it. Rover, the Rover, ram him.
Speaker 7:
[19:41] What did you heat?
Speaker 4:
[19:43] I'll have Rover try to ram his motorcycle.
Speaker 2:
[19:46] You guys hit the brakes and go back to meet up with them, and rev your engines again to get right next to them.
Speaker 4:
[19:52] All right, fucking hell, Rover got a nat one. It's all right, buddy, stay with me.
Speaker 2:
[19:56] Rover falls off and then bounces back on to your motorcycle.
Speaker 4:
[20:00] You're my side cut now.
Speaker 2:
[20:01] After Aux's turn, that's Adam's turn.
Speaker 7:
[20:03] Okay, so we got two drivers left.
Speaker 2:
[20:05] And three drones as well.
Speaker 7:
[20:07] Three drones, I forgot about the drones.
Speaker 2:
[20:08] Oh yeah.
Speaker 7:
[20:09] Maybe I will try and focus on the drones a bit. Yeah, I'm gonna use my sniper rifle. I'm gonna like clinch my legs against the motorcycle and like swivel my entire body around.
Speaker 2:
[20:20] Sure, sure. You hear the bike go, would you like me to enter self-driving mode?
Speaker 7:
[20:26] Absolutely not. I see five dogs.
Speaker 6:
[20:30] Starts to drive towards a dog.
Speaker 2:
[20:32] The dogs aren't obeying the rules of the road, sir.
Speaker 7:
[20:35] I use my loud megaphone voice to say, everyone watch out, it is in self-driving mode. Great.
Speaker 2:
[20:41] Go ahead and take shots at the drones.
Speaker 7:
[20:42] Yeah, I'll take shots at the drones.
Speaker 2:
[20:43] Great.
Speaker 7:
[20:45] That's a nat one woof. Can I do anything about that?
Speaker 2:
[20:48] Shoot a dog.
Speaker 7:
[20:49] Kidding.
Speaker 4:
[20:50] Not real. Dude.
Speaker 6:
[20:51] Not real.
Speaker 4:
[20:52] Dude.
Speaker 7:
[20:52] I just shoot their owner in the ass. That's fine.
Speaker 6:
[20:54] Yeah, you shoot an owner in the ass.
Speaker 7:
[20:55] Okay, let me take one more attack. Okay, that's a dirty 20.
Speaker 2:
[20:59] Hits.
Speaker 7:
[20:59] Great. 17 damage.
Speaker 2:
[21:01] Okay. One of the drones looks very, very hurt. As much as a drone can look hurt. It's smoking. Again, not in a cool way.
Speaker 4:
[21:09] Is that robot crying?
Speaker 5:
[21:12] It's an emotionality.
Speaker 2:
[21:14] Please stop running. It's making me sad.
Speaker 5:
[21:17] Oh, I hate a sad robot.
Speaker 7:
[21:19] Oh, I heard about this. Mothership introduced crying robots.
Speaker 2:
[21:22] Okay. So that is the Mothership Knights turns. They are, I'll say one will engage with Aux, one will engage with Slug. It's going to use a gadget. So the one is going to overcharge himself. So you see clenches his fist. You see lightning bolt goes through his arm. Were you attacking recklessly, Slug? I did, yeah. Okay. So attacks with advantage. And is going to add a D6 to this attack if he hits. Not 20. So we'll add two D6s to it. So yeah, you see a ultra powerful enhancement that makes his arm buffer as he stabs directly into your chest.
Speaker 7:
[21:58] Oh.
Speaker 2:
[21:59] 24 slashing damage.
Speaker 5:
[22:02] Okay. You got my attention.
Speaker 7:
[22:04] We should get one of those.
Speaker 2:
[22:05] And then makes a second attack. Can't use a gadget on this one. That's a 23 to hit. Just nine little damage. Okay. Then that is the one that is going to engage with Aux. Aux.
Speaker 4:
[22:18] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[22:18] You see this guy is going to open up his bracer and shoot a freaking Django Fett grappling hook at you. Go ahead and give me a dex saving throw. Django Fett, my favorite character.
Speaker 4:
[22:32] Nat 20.
Speaker 2:
[22:33] Nat 20. Fully breaks off and detaches and you could possibly use this yourself in the future.
Speaker 4:
[22:40] You are no Django Fett.
Speaker 2:
[22:43] That is just his gadget though. So he'll take just regular sword attacks.
Speaker 3:
[22:47] Fuck, I knew it was Django Fett.
Speaker 2:
[22:49] Just a guy with a sword.
Speaker 5:
[22:51] Is he attacking Aux?
Speaker 2:
[22:52] He's attacking Aux.
Speaker 5:
[22:53] Is he within 30 feet of me?
Speaker 2:
[22:55] Certainly.
Speaker 5:
[22:56] Then he's doing it with a disadvantage.
Speaker 2:
[22:57] Okay, so attack with disadvantage. Misses on the first one. Second one is a hit because lower roll is a 17. 12 damage to you, Aux. Slashing damage. After the Mothership Knights, we are at Initiative 10. At Initiative 10, in addition to these drones, you see more drones get dropped off by a helicopter-sized drop ship. Drops more drones that enter the battlefield.
Speaker 7:
[23:22] Dronemommy.
Speaker 2:
[23:23] But these ones are different. You see these ones fire a barrage of lightning arrows ahead of you, on the path ahead, that explode into streaks of lightning. Everybody give me a dex saving throw to get out of the way.
Speaker 5:
[23:36] Advantage because of Danger Sense.
Speaker 2:
[23:39] DC 14.
Speaker 4:
[23:40] 15 I got.
Speaker 2:
[23:41] Okay.
Speaker 8:
[23:41] 26.
Speaker 5:
[23:43] 23.
Speaker 2:
[23:43] Okay. You all take half, which is just eight lightning damage. After Initiative 10, that's Initiative 9. That is the three drones. The three drones are going to close in on, we'll say two of them will go after our girl Slug. So first things first, one's gonna try to do a disruptive pulse. Go ahead and give me an intelligence saving throw. You see it just jabs you and tries to shock you into making some of your machinery not work.
Speaker 7:
[24:10] Slugs, careful, they're depressed.
Speaker 2:
[24:12] I'm sad. You should feel sad too.
Speaker 5:
[24:15] Eight.
Speaker 4:
[24:15] Emotionally manipulative robots. That's dangerous.
Speaker 2:
[24:18] Roll me a D6.
Speaker 7:
[24:20] Don't let them use therapy speak on you.
Speaker 5:
[24:22] Five.
Speaker 2:
[24:23] Five. Malfunctioning gears. Creature is slowed until the end of its next turn as its gears are jammed.
Speaker 7:
[24:29] Uh-oh.
Speaker 2:
[24:29] Okay.
Speaker 6:
[24:30] My key is a jam.
Speaker 2:
[24:32] You're only going to be able to take one attack and use an action or a bonus action.
Speaker 7:
[24:36] Oh, geez.
Speaker 2:
[24:37] Okay. Then it still makes more attacks. It takes two little dart attacks. So you see after doing that devastating thing that shocks your whole system and slows you down, do you see shoots two little darts?
Speaker 5:
[24:50] With advantage because I had to attack directly. Great.
Speaker 2:
[24:52] Okay. So first attack, 22 to hit, hits you for five damage. Second one is definitely going to hit six piercing damage. Then the second drone goes and it will just take three attacks at you. Two hits, 18 damage total. After that, that is the next drone is going to come down at Aux. It's going to do a disruptive pulse. It's going to be an intelligence saving throw as you feel these electrodes go into you.
Speaker 4:
[25:20] Smarter than I look. 30, 20.
Speaker 2:
[25:22] Okay, you are all good. You do not get any side effects, but it makes two more attacks and gets an 18 on the first attack.
Speaker 4:
[25:32] Okay, I push a button on my helmet and a shield goes up.
Speaker 6:
[25:35] Hell yeah.
Speaker 2:
[25:36] Pinks harmlessly off of your helmet and second attack fails. Without the disadvantage, it would have been a crit, but it was very disgusting.
Speaker 6:
[25:45] After the drone, he fumes. I'm very fume-y.
Speaker 4:
[25:48] I like your pheromones.
Speaker 2:
[25:50] Top of the order at initiative 20, you see an armored vehicle pulls out of a nearby garage. The back opens up and one Mothership Elite Knight and two more Knights drop out of the back on motorcycles. There are also gunners in the truck who are going to take three shots, one at each of you.
Speaker 5:
[26:09] Advantage on me.
Speaker 2:
[26:10] Okay, first one at Atom is going to be a 21 to hit.
Speaker 7:
[26:15] 21 to hit would hit, but I'm going to use another skin of my teeth, which is funny because I don't have teeth. I'm going to try and beat this.
Speaker 4:
[26:21] We can get you teeth.
Speaker 5:
[26:22] Skin of my beep.
Speaker 7:
[26:23] Skin of my beep. That is a five, which boosted to 23.
Speaker 2:
[26:27] Sick. You juke out of the way using your motorcycle.
Speaker 7:
[26:30] I do a motorcycle flip.
Speaker 2:
[26:31] Hell yeah.
Speaker 7:
[26:33] Did you guys see that?
Speaker 2:
[26:34] You guys are both fully engaged.
Speaker 7:
[26:36] I don't know how I did that.
Speaker 4:
[26:37] Do a barrel roll.
Speaker 2:
[26:39] The other gunners are going to take shots. Makes disadvantage shot on Aux because right next to our girl Slug misses and then takes a shot with advantage on Slug. It's going to hit to de-ten of damage, which is 11 piercing damage.
Speaker 5:
[26:55] Thank God it's piercing.
Speaker 4:
[26:57] Okay. She's hit.
Speaker 2:
[26:58] Two new mothership knights. I'm going to roll for them.
Speaker 5:
[27:01] I'm bound to five.
Speaker 4:
[27:02] Oh, boy.
Speaker 2:
[27:03] Oh, boy. We got to choose one. And if she gets knocked out, that's tough. You guys might have to heal her up or something. Okay. So that was initiative 20. Slug, that is your turn.
Speaker 5:
[27:15] Oh, thank God. Okay. Started my turn. Even though I'm slowed, I had initiated reconstruction before. So I am going to expend a hit die. So I regain five HP. I do have one attack though, right?
Speaker 2:
[27:29] You do have one attack. You also have your potion that you can take.
Speaker 5:
[27:32] I think what I want to do is, I want to do my attack and then get the fuck out of here.
Speaker 2:
[27:38] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[27:38] I am bloodied, so I will have advantage.
Speaker 2:
[27:41] Okay, great.
Speaker 5:
[27:42] Who is closest to me?
Speaker 2:
[27:43] There's a knight that has taken damage near you.
Speaker 5:
[27:47] That's going to hit 24.
Speaker 2:
[27:49] 24 hits.
Speaker 5:
[27:50] 14 slashing and he's got to do a con save or fall prone.
Speaker 2:
[27:54] Okay. Fails the con save, this guy goes down.
Speaker 5:
[27:57] Great. And then I want to put away my hockey stick and take out a shield.
Speaker 2:
[28:02] Okay. Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[28:04] And I want to drive away from them.
Speaker 2:
[28:06] Okay. So you want to use the vehicle speed to go up past like where Atom is. Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[28:11] I'm like retreating as much as I can.
Speaker 2:
[28:13] Motorcycle takes a full dash and goes ahead to get out of the range of these other knights. Okay. After Slug's turn, that is Aux's turn.
Speaker 4:
[28:23] You know what? No more gadgets. I'm just going to ram my bike into one of these knights next to me and hit him with my maul.
Speaker 2:
[28:29] Okay. And you have the charge, right? I'll let you use it with a bike.
Speaker 6:
[28:33] Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2:
[28:34] Essentially, if they knock prone, you might be able to knock them over.
Speaker 4:
[28:36] All right. I'm going to use charge. Can I use Savage Attacker too?
Speaker 6:
[28:39] Sure.
Speaker 4:
[28:39] All right. So I'm just going to I'm just going to turn hard left right into this guy.
Speaker 6:
[28:44] Hell yeah.
Speaker 4:
[28:44] Charge. That's a 27 hit.
Speaker 2:
[28:47] Twenty seven hits.
Speaker 4:
[28:48] And I do have since I'm a fighter, I'm going to hit him with my maul and it does have the top of property. Sixteen is the same.
Speaker 2:
[28:54] Okay. Needs to roll a 13 or higher. I'll just roll this in front of the table. Yes.
Speaker 5:
[28:59] Finally. These guys have been rolling so hot tonight.
Speaker 2:
[29:01] Six fails, falls off. So there are still three nights. There's one elite and two nights. Just the new guys. You guys have killed all of the nights that have chased you originally. Okay. Except for the there's drones still. So you guys are in, it's a tough spot. Right now Slug is ahead. So he's probably the most protected.
Speaker 5:
[29:20] I also did not attack recklessly this turn. So they don't have a disadvantage.
Speaker 4:
[29:24] I've got one more attack, right?
Speaker 2:
[29:25] Yes.
Speaker 5:
[29:26] Okay.
Speaker 4:
[29:26] So if there's a guy, there's another motorcycle near me.
Speaker 2:
[29:29] There's two more regular nights and one elite. Which one do you want to go after?
Speaker 4:
[29:33] I'll go after a regular guy. Okay.
Speaker 2:
[29:35] So fresh.
Speaker 4:
[29:36] That is an 18 to hit.
Speaker 2:
[29:37] 18 hits.
Speaker 4:
[29:38] Okay. I'll use Savage Attacker here. 16 damage.
Speaker 2:
[29:41] 16 damage. Do you topple multiple times every turn?
Speaker 4:
[29:45] Yeah. I think you can.
Speaker 2:
[29:46] Okay. Sick.
Speaker 5:
[29:46] I think it's anytime you hit with that weapon.
Speaker 2:
[29:48] Roll in front of you guys again. There we go. Another six, you take another one down.
Speaker 4:
[29:56] You guys got to learn how to ride a bike.
Speaker 5:
[29:59] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[29:59] That dude did look a little wobbly. Okay. After Aux's turn, that is the other Mothership Knight that is fresh, that just got here. He just got out of the shower. He just got out of the shower. You see he's soaking wet.
Speaker 6:
[30:13] I just got out of the fucking shower and already on my bike.
Speaker 2:
[30:16] God damn it. What kind of knight is this? I thought I was just watching a gala.
Speaker 7:
[30:21] You shower with your armor on.
Speaker 6:
[30:23] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[30:23] Yeah, I do. You're goddamn right I do. That's kind of cool. His armor is soaking wet. He is going to overcharge. You see his arm gets super jacked. This isn't from jacking off.
Speaker 7:
[30:38] He was just in the shower. It's suspicious.
Speaker 2:
[30:41] He takes two attacks on Aux here.
Speaker 4:
[30:43] I feel like you just jacked off now.
Speaker 6:
[30:45] I feel like that's so weird because we were at a party and then you just went into a bathroom and you had a good conversation or something.
Speaker 2:
[30:52] I was just taking a shower during the party. What's weird about that?
Speaker 4:
[30:54] I think you need to jack off.
Speaker 2:
[30:56] So first one misses.
Speaker 6:
[30:57] I think you had a good conversation and you went into a shower.
Speaker 2:
[31:01] Second attack is a 26. Our conversation got flirty and I knew it was at work so I just went to the shower and took a shower and jerked off instead of flirting.
Speaker 4:
[31:09] Okay, so wow, the truth came out so fast.
Speaker 2:
[31:12] It does nine damage to you.
Speaker 4:
[31:13] All right.
Speaker 2:
[31:14] Okay, then an action at initiative 10. At initiative 10, you are losing the armored vehicle. Okay. One of the gunners makes one last desperate attack, pulling out a rocket launcher. I will say Slug, since you have separated yourself from the pack a little bit, can't hit everyone with this. So it will just be Atom and Aux here. And actually the one Mothership Knight that is engaging with Aux will also have to do it. So you see this guy just goes, fuck you dude, you jacked off at work. Shoots a grenade launcher into the air. Give me a DC 14 dexterity saving throw to get out of the way.
Speaker 4:
[31:57] God damn, that's a nat one.
Speaker 2:
[31:58] Yikes.
Speaker 7:
[31:59] That's a 23.
Speaker 2:
[32:01] Okay. Aux, you take 18 fire damage.
Speaker 4:
[32:04] I'm so nearly dead.
Speaker 2:
[32:06] Okay.
Speaker 7:
[32:07] Oh no.
Speaker 2:
[32:08] Atom, you take half, you take nine.
Speaker 7:
[32:09] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[32:10] After initiative 10, that is the three drones that are still left.
Speaker 4:
[32:14] Oh my God.
Speaker 2:
[32:15] So this one drone is going to, it's already used up, it can only use the disruptor thing once. So they're just gonna start taking shots. They're gonna shoot at all three of you guys. They have the range.
Speaker 5:
[32:28] They don't have advantage on me.
Speaker 2:
[32:30] They don't have advantage.
Speaker 5:
[32:31] And my AC is 20 now, because I took out my shield. AC is 20, okay.
Speaker 2:
[32:34] So the drones will just take three shots at each of you, just these little darts. Three shots at Slug. All three miss. Highest was at 11. So misses.
Speaker 4:
[32:44] Wow.
Speaker 2:
[32:45] Three shots at Aux. A 22 to hit.
Speaker 4:
[32:50] That does. Okay.
Speaker 2:
[32:51] Nine damage.
Speaker 4:
[32:53] Aux loses control of his motorcycle. No. Okay.
Speaker 2:
[32:56] I'll say it goes into... Spectre can kind of try to pilot it remotely. Stay with us, Aux. Stay with us.
Speaker 4:
[33:02] Aux's head is like lolling over the handlebars.
Speaker 2:
[33:05] Rover, help him. Yeah, I'll say Rover is able to kind of stabilize you.
Speaker 4:
[33:08] Don't fall off.
Speaker 2:
[33:11] Okay. So he drops down to zero. And then the last one goes after Atom. Just one hit, seven damage, Atom.
Speaker 7:
[33:20] Okay. I'm at 21. I'm doing okay.
Speaker 2:
[33:22] After the drones, that is the elite's turn. I'll say that the elite is going to go up, is going to use a gadget to try to overpower himself. To give himself like one mighty arm.
Speaker 4:
[33:41] You already have a mighty arm.
Speaker 2:
[33:43] Already has a mighty arm. And that is going to show.
Speaker 7:
[33:45] How many showers are there?
Speaker 2:
[33:46] Three attacks. First attack. The one that is overpowered, he swings wide and only gets to 14. So misses on the first attack. Second attack is a 15 to hit.
Speaker 7:
[34:00] Misses.
Speaker 2:
[34:00] Okay. Third attack is an 18 to hit.
Speaker 7:
[34:04] I'm gonna impose disadvantage with my lucky.
Speaker 2:
[34:06] Okay. That's an at four. Elite misses three times.
Speaker 6:
[34:11] Yeah, not so elite.
Speaker 2:
[34:12] At initiative 20, you guys are beginning to make your way out of zone six. You're almost in zone five. At the start of round three, you see laser sights begin appearing all over your body. You look and you see that mothership has sent soldiers ahead and made a blockade to make a last stand to keep you guys here. They pulled a bunch of trucks together to form a wall and are using them as cover. So they're going to go ahead and make three attacks, one on each of you. So first one is Slug.
Speaker 5:
[34:44] I have my ACs 20 now and you don't have advantage.
Speaker 2:
[34:46] 18 to hit, misses.
Speaker 5:
[34:47] Misses because of my shield.
Speaker 2:
[34:49] Next one, they are going to fire at you, Aux. They fire with disadvantage because it's a ranged attack.
Speaker 5:
[34:55] Oh.
Speaker 2:
[34:56] Go ahead. Misses. And then the last attack is going on our dude, Atom here. And that is just a 13 hits. So they miss. Misses. Begin firing. These are like lower, like they basically scrambled to get any guys together that they could. This is essentially like a swarm of guards. So for those three attacks, you guys were actually being fired at by like 18 dudes that are just like lower level guys behind a barricade. At initiative 10, you guys will hit that barricade and we'll get a chance to do like a jump over it and essentially clear the zone and then you're home free. After initiative 20, Slug, that is your turn.
Speaker 5:
[35:36] Okay. I got a question. To give a healing potion, that is action or bonus action?
Speaker 2:
[35:43] Either.
Speaker 5:
[35:43] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[35:45] And slow is lifted on you.
Speaker 5:
[35:47] It's lifted. Okay, great. So do I see any street lamps that maybe I could just hook with my hockey stick to make a thing for us to ride over to, like a ramp to go over the barricade?
Speaker 2:
[36:00] Go ahead and give me a perception check.
Speaker 5:
[36:03] 11.
Speaker 2:
[36:03] 11. Okay. You don't see like a perfectly lined up lamp post or anything like that. But you do see like the cave wall there. This bike might be able to ride up it. There are some like slight like you guys are basically being funneled into a tunnel and these guys have made a blockade. But it is the the wall of the tunnel is like a little bit smooth and rounded. So you could get with a dex check, get around this blockade.
Speaker 7:
[36:32] Slugs. It looks like a half pipe.
Speaker 5:
[36:35] Holy shit. I'm used to doing this on my roller blades, but I'm a motorcycle chick now. I am however going to, I got to head back to Aux.
Speaker 2:
[36:45] Okay, you head back to Aux?
Speaker 5:
[36:46] Yeah, I'm going to head back to Aux. I'm going to give them a healing potion.
Speaker 2:
[36:50] Cool.
Speaker 5:
[36:50] Okay, so I have my healing potion I made. I think I think the way you take my healing potions is it's like a crushable. So I like just crush a can on your head. The potion goes into your mouth. 13. Okay, sick. That's my action, my bonus action. I am going to use my purple dragon commandment and I am going to encourage ally. I'm going to say, Aux, get your head in the game. This ain't where you meant to go.
Speaker 4:
[37:18] Are we dead?
Speaker 5:
[37:19] And I gave him 11 temp HP.
Speaker 2:
[37:21] Whoa, sick, okay.
Speaker 4:
[37:23] All right.
Speaker 5:
[37:24] And then I am just making a B-line for that ramp.
Speaker 2:
[37:28] Great. Okay. You start trying to go up the side as these guys take shots at you after Slug's turn.
Speaker 4:
[37:34] Slug, that thing tasted like ass.
Speaker 7:
[37:36] It actually tasted like guava.
Speaker 5:
[37:39] Yeah, guava. I think you just don't like the taste of guava.
Speaker 4:
[37:41] Yeah, I guess I don't like guava.
Speaker 5:
[37:43] Hey, come to my soda fountain. We'll experiment with flavor that's right for you.
Speaker 4:
[37:47] It could taste like ass anytime.
Speaker 6:
[37:50] Aux, that's your turn.
Speaker 4:
[37:51] We're making a B-line for this barricade right now.
Speaker 2:
[37:54] You can essentially try to ride around it like, I'm just assuming you guys are all moving as fast as possible, so we're not dealing with speed. At initiative 10, you guys hit the half pipe.
Speaker 4:
[38:04] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[38:05] Or full pipe rather. Yeah.
Speaker 4:
[38:08] All right, then just to bolster myself, I'm gonna rev the motorcycle engine and cast jump.
Speaker 2:
[38:14] Oh, okay, sick. Okay, great. Rad, okay, you cast jump on yourself. There's one Mothership Knight that goes before Atom, that is one of the fresh ones who just took a shower is gonna get to go, is going to, hey, why not? Use a flash grenade on Atom. Atom, go ahead and give me a con saving throw. Or be blinded until the start of, oh, it's only the start of your next turn, so you'll actually be okay, but it'll get attacks with advantage.
Speaker 7:
[38:43] This guy's flashing me. He took a shower and now he's flashing me.
Speaker 2:
[38:47] Stop, it's not like that. I don't like jokes like the other guys do. I just took a regular shower. Because I showered my armor before work.
Speaker 5:
[38:59] You need an armor?
Speaker 7:
[39:00] Yeah. That's going to be a 19.
Speaker 2:
[39:03] 19 passes. You are all good. He's going to make these attacks flat. 17 to hit?
Speaker 7:
[39:10] Misses.
Speaker 2:
[39:11] Okay. Misses second attack, 25 to hit.
Speaker 7:
[39:14] That does hit.
Speaker 2:
[39:15] Okay. That does nine damage. Oh, so you guys see the drones start to back off because they don't act until initiative nine. And that is before the action. So they're going to hit this barricade. You see the bikes start to back up as they basically hit the brakes as they leave you guys to run into the barricade. You guys are driving at top speed towards the barricade. What does everyone do as you approach it?
Speaker 5:
[39:43] I jump onto the seat on my roller blade. So I'm surfing it.
Speaker 2:
[39:48] Okay.
Speaker 4:
[39:48] Oh sick. I think since I have jump cast on myself, I'm going to just ride my motorcycle straight into the wall of guys and jump off at the last second and skitch behind.
Speaker 2:
[40:01] Hell yes. What do you do, Adam?
Speaker 7:
[40:04] I want to contact Spectre real quick and say, are we home free after we get through this tunnel?
Speaker 2:
[40:09] After you get through this tunnel, you'll be in hammering circuits territory. So you'll be free from mothership.
Speaker 7:
[40:15] That's something.
Speaker 2:
[40:16] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[40:17] Okay.
Speaker 6:
[40:18] They put out a warning.
Speaker 2:
[40:19] They shut down all the trains. So we'll deal with that problem when we have to.
Speaker 5:
[40:24] Spectre, I'm super.
Speaker 6:
[40:26] Yeah, no, I know.
Speaker 2:
[40:27] I know.
Speaker 6:
[40:27] I got a place you might be able to get some rest. I'm scared. Get past the barricade.
Speaker 2:
[40:31] I'm scared too.
Speaker 5:
[40:32] Spectre, if I die, tell the kill screen kiddos, win the championship this year.
Speaker 2:
[40:37] All right, they'll win the cup. I swear to God, I'll make sure they win the cup. Just please.
Speaker 4:
[40:40] And tell them to go for it too. Don't sit back on defense.
Speaker 2:
[40:44] Focus up, cause you're not dead yet.
Speaker 7:
[40:45] Guys, guys.
Speaker 2:
[40:46] Focus up, cause you're not dead yet.
Speaker 7:
[40:47] This isn't a half pipe. This is a full pipe. The pipe is full and we must remain optimistic. I hate to do this, but it's the only chance we've got. I need to drop some cargo and I pull out the little duck slurp toy. And I throw it right at the elites.
Speaker 4:
[41:03] Sick.
Speaker 2:
[41:05] You throw the duck.
Speaker 4:
[41:06] I don't know.
Speaker 2:
[41:08] What are you doing trick wise as you go over the barricade or strategy wise?
Speaker 7:
[41:12] I think I am just opening up my ass and a ton of debris is falling out.
Speaker 2:
[41:17] Okay, so you're just going super fast by just unloading everything in your body that you've been storing up. Okay.
Speaker 7:
[41:23] You see extra Hawaiian shirts, just so much candy, so many sticky arms, lots of little toys and trinkets that I was saving for the prize count.
Speaker 4:
[41:31] Is that a condom?
Speaker 5:
[41:33] I'll also take one of the chains that's crisscrossed and I'm wearing crisscrossed on my absolutely muscular torso. I'm sorry for this, I want to be swinging it behind me like a whip in case I need to try to use it like a grappling hook.
Speaker 4:
[41:47] Sick.
Speaker 2:
[41:50] Here's how this is going to work. You guys are about to collide with the blockade or rather go up the tunnel full pipe or just jump over it like Aux is. I need DC-14 Dex saving throws. Here's how this is going to work. If you fail by five or more, you straight up fall off your motorcycle and go prone, and we'll just have to figure out how to deal with this swarm of dudes that's coming after you. If you fail by just a few, then you basically just land bad and slow down, and these guys will get to take a few shots at you as you ride off. If you land it perfectly, you perfectly ride it like a half-pipe and go around. So go ahead and give me dex saving throws.
Speaker 4:
[42:31] Okay. Nadd20, baby.
Speaker 7:
[42:33] Whoa!
Speaker 5:
[42:34] Wow. 16. Oh, yeah, 16.
Speaker 2:
[42:38] Okay.
Speaker 7:
[42:39] 15.
Speaker 2:
[42:39] 15, everybody passes. So you see, yeah, with the Nadd20, you see Aux, these guys are getting ready to shoot at you, and you just jump over, kind of drawing fire, so these guys shoot low where you just were, as opposed to where you're going. Slug, you go fully around it, like a skateboarder in a tunnel.
Speaker 5:
[43:02] It's so fun, I think, about doing it a second time.
Speaker 2:
[43:06] And Atom, you're able to unload enough shit that you've been carrying that you just barely make it as lasers are shooting behind you.
Speaker 7:
[43:15] As I do it, I say to everyone else, it's like Sir Elmer always said, I've got to take a dump.
Speaker 5:
[43:22] That guy could really fill a day with dumps.
Speaker 4:
[43:26] He knew how to clog a toilet, one or two.
Speaker 7:
[43:29] It didn't matter.
Speaker 2:
[43:30] Yeah, you have a quick flashback.
Speaker 3:
[43:33] You're gonna run faster, take a dump.
Speaker 4:
[43:37] Wow.
Speaker 2:
[43:38] The soldiers shoot rifles at you as you pass, but their lasers bounce off the cave wall or hit the pavement behind you. You guys exit Zone 6, and while Mothership is slowly taking over the city, they wouldn't dare at this point in the sort of negotiations and buying out of the different crews of crossing into Zone 5 without checking first. It would be open warfare in the streets. So you guys escape Mothership for now, and you enter this abandoned roadway between Zone 6 and Zone 5. As you do, let me remind you, I'll do a little recap on Hammer and Circuits. Hammer and Circuits are from Old Town, aka Zone 5. Dwarves descended from Cragwater who combined the blacksmithing skills of their ancestors with modern technology. They mined for precious metals to fuel their augmentations. They drive drill cars, wield magnetic flying hammers, and don armored utility suits that look like plate mail but allow them to move at supernatural speeds. So traveling down this long tunnel, you guys suspect Mothership will try to follow up at some point or maybe send like assassins after you, but you think maybe you might have like a couple minutes if you guys want to take a short rest.
Speaker 5:
[44:56] Yeah. I don't even have the hit dice to heal myself.
Speaker 2:
[45:00] You have zero hit dice left?
Speaker 5:
[45:01] I've used it all. Wow. Because I used my reconstruction serum. It's like one of my serums I can use.
Speaker 2:
[45:09] Gotcha, and that's a hit dice?
Speaker 5:
[45:09] And that expends your hit dice. Okay, so what are you at? But I would be down if not for it.
Speaker 2:
[45:13] Wow, what are you at?
Speaker 7:
[45:15] Wow. Okay, well, we should maybe find a place to get you a potion or something.
Speaker 5:
[45:20] Yeah, oh yeah, maybe we could find some sort of open-minded dealer.
Speaker 2:
[45:25] Yeah, you hear Spectre in your ear goes, okay, so first things first, you guys probably want to ditch the bikes because they're Mothership property. So, oh, what a shame. They'll be able to track them soon.
Speaker 5:
[45:36] But what if, oh, you're really good at doing branding.
Speaker 4:
[45:40] Can I mod this thing?
Speaker 5:
[45:41] Can we mod it?
Speaker 2:
[45:42] Okay, the thing is, is that if anyone is in bed with Mothership or anything, we'll be looking for the guys on Mothership motorcycles. I would imagine they'll probably get the word out.
Speaker 4:
[45:50] All right, Specter, just give me a second to say goodbye. This thing was so fast.
Speaker 6:
[45:54] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[45:54] I have an incredibly different response. If I can't have it, no one can.
Speaker 6:
[45:58] I attack the bike.
Speaker 2:
[46:00] Oh, just in one hit, you break it.
Speaker 5:
[46:03] I break it over my knee.
Speaker 6:
[46:05] Oh, my God.
Speaker 5:
[46:05] I break over my knee and you see a ripple through my quads as the impact happens.
Speaker 4:
[46:11] It's a beautiful machine.
Speaker 7:
[46:13] Is there like a tracking beacon in it that we could pull out?
Speaker 2:
[46:19] Again, if you want to ride, I mean, you guys are-
Speaker 7:
[46:21] I'm just saying so we can like give them a false trail.
Speaker 2:
[46:23] Oh, interesting. Yeah, you would think that, so right now, Specter has like taken control over it to like give it over to you guys. I assume that there's going to be some way for Mothership to probably regain control of this thing.
Speaker 7:
[46:39] Yes.
Speaker 2:
[46:40] You could probably just send it off and stop controlling it and make it seem like you guys are going in a different direction or something.
Speaker 5:
[46:46] Okay, but what if we found some rats and tied them to them so that they go into the walls?
Speaker 7:
[46:52] I do have plus four to animal handling.
Speaker 2:
[46:54] Okay.
Speaker 6:
[46:56] Actually, I have plus five to animal handling.
Speaker 7:
[46:58] We are going to look for rats.
Speaker 6:
[47:00] Great.
Speaker 2:
[47:01] Give me animal handling checks.
Speaker 7:
[47:02] I will give her the help action.
Speaker 6:
[47:03] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[47:06] Unfortunately, even with the help bags, I only got a nine.
Speaker 2:
[47:09] Okay. You see...
Speaker 5:
[47:10] I got bit by a rat!
Speaker 2:
[47:12] Oh, shit! I got a big nasty rat bite slug. And then gets away. Just gets into a little hole.
Speaker 6:
[47:19] Catch him! Catch him!
Speaker 5:
[47:21] I demand vengeance!
Speaker 4:
[47:24] Chase after the rat?
Speaker 2:
[47:25] Okay, he's in a teeny hole.
Speaker 6:
[47:26] You reach in and you hurt your arm.
Speaker 7:
[47:29] I put my finger gun into the hole.
Speaker 6:
[47:31] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[47:31] Are you just going to kill this rat?
Speaker 6:
[47:34] Don't shoot it!
Speaker 4:
[47:34] Don't shoot it! Hey, come out here!
Speaker 7:
[47:36] That rat hurt my friend. Come out with your hands up.
Speaker 6:
[47:39] No, it's fine. It's fine.
Speaker 5:
[47:41] I'll get him another day.
Speaker 6:
[47:43] I'll shout down the hole, this ain't over.
Speaker 7:
[47:46] Okay, I am going to push my motorcycle down a hill. I'm trying to aim it towards the Dunkin Donuts.
Speaker 2:
[47:52] Okay, sweet. There aren't any Dunkin Donuts. So, you push your motorcycle down a hill. Right.
Speaker 7:
[47:55] So, I just want to kind of push it so that it... If there's a quarry or somewhere that I could push it where it would clearly lead them off the trail. Okay, great.
Speaker 2:
[48:04] Yeah. I'll say there's multiple tunnels here. You lead it down a side tunnel.
Speaker 7:
[48:07] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[48:08] I'll do the same.
Speaker 2:
[48:09] Okay. You hear Specter go, I'm going to contact an old friend. I'll see if he can give you guys a place to hide until things cool down.
Speaker 7:
[48:18] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[48:19] That'd be huge. Who? What should we expect? Old Drill.
Speaker 2:
[48:24] And you guys remember Old Drill was number two in the Hammer and Circuits. So he was an underboss to Old Blunderbuss who was the leader of Hammer and Circuits. He's a friend. He's straight up like, I think would be like a trusted ally. Close confidant of Elmer was overlooked for the boss job though in favor of Young Blunder.
Speaker 6:
[48:47] Who is Old Blunderbuss' son.
Speaker 2:
[48:50] So the Nepo baby became the boss.
Speaker 4:
[48:52] We got friends here but we got enemies too.
Speaker 6:
[48:54] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[48:55] So it would seem, or at least you can talk to Old Drill about it, who is this older dwarf that used a drill as a weapon. He has an attachment on his hand that he can change his hand into a drill bit. Pretty rad back in the day. Older guy now. So there was a mix of when it was time to pass on leadership, it was like, it could have been him, but he's like a little old. So they were going to have him like essentially mentor young blunder, but young blunder just don't listen.
Speaker 7:
[49:25] He's got a lot on his mind. So mostly a clear plastic dome.
Speaker 2:
[49:29] Yeah. Specter goes, I would imagine he's home.
Speaker 4:
[49:33] All right.
Speaker 2:
[49:33] I'll send you the coordinates to his place. Okay. So you guys continue traveling towards zone five. As dangerous as zone five is, you definitely want to get out of Mothership territory. So in order to get to Old Drill, you got to get into this actual zone five. Right now you're kind of between. So you travel down this long tunnel. As you do, everybody give me perception checks.
Speaker 5:
[49:55] Nat one.
Speaker 2:
[49:57] Ooh, slugs.
Speaker 7:
[49:59] Get on my back. You're tired.
Speaker 4:
[50:00] An 11.
Speaker 7:
[50:01] I got a 14.
Speaker 2:
[50:02] Okay. You guys see ahead of you, taking up pretty much the whole tunnel, there is a giant gate ahead, a big metal rusty barrier with two scout towers attached to it. It's got slots for like laser guns to poke out of. And you see a few hammer and circuits, bruisers doing the rounds up on the walkway, these cybernetically enhanced dwarves.
Speaker 7:
[50:26] Okay. Do you think that Old Drill is there inside? Should we ask to go see him?
Speaker 2:
[50:31] Specter goes, Old Drill's at his house. This is just...
Speaker 7:
[50:33] Oh, okay.
Speaker 5:
[50:34] Yeah, we're just trying to get by this.
Speaker 7:
[50:36] Wait, Specter, are you still at the arcade? Everything okay?
Speaker 2:
[50:40] Everything's okay here. So you guys also know, you guys have... The defenses that Hammer and Circuits have for like their burrow, you guys have one too. Like the Hampson Sisters and stuff aren't just blockers for the team. They like have machine gun attachments and they like have Gatling guns and shit. There are like dozens of other people that look out for your crew, that are part of your crew. You guys aren't the only ones. You guys were just like close friends with Elmer, who was the guy who like kind of helped take care of Zone 1.
Speaker 7:
[51:14] God forbid they piss off Big Mini.
Speaker 5:
[51:17] Big Mini will let them have it, as long as their boyfriend's not in town. Spectre, have you seen any rumblings about who Mothership thinks did this?
Speaker 2:
[51:29] She'll go ahead and do like a Tech Arcana check. She gets a 15. I'll say with a 15 is only able to get into like low clearance information, but sees that it is like officially announced that there was like a security breach and that the party is on lockdown right now, and they're looking for suspects. They have like pictures of you guys leaving. It seems like there's not cameras everywhere. Like the tech isn't quite that good.
Speaker 5:
[51:55] It seems like they need to be like drone type robots, like pretty complicated things like the drones have.
Speaker 2:
[52:01] Yeah, you guys fought some drones. Pictures of you guys are being distributed. They're trying to figure out who you are right now. Right now they have pictures of you.
Speaker 5:
[52:08] But they haven't necessarily connected us to kill screens yet.
Speaker 2:
[52:12] I think that'll be imminent, but not yet.
Speaker 7:
[52:15] Is there any way we can pin this on Corky?
Speaker 6:
[52:18] No.
Speaker 4:
[52:21] Oh yeah, Spector, just tell him Corky did it.
Speaker 6:
[52:24] It says Corky is missing right now.
Speaker 2:
[52:26] There's some concern about Corky. It's a secondary thing.
Speaker 7:
[52:30] It's worth mentioning that Corky's motorcycle was seen fleeing the scene.
Speaker 2:
[52:34] The Wolf Packs motorcycles. Yeah, it did mention that somebody stole the Wolf Packs motorcycles.
Speaker 4:
[52:39] Okay, so do we have to bust through this gate or we sneak in past it?
Speaker 5:
[52:42] No, we just sneak past it.
Speaker 2:
[52:45] You guys have a bunch of options. You guys can sneak past it. You can try to fight your way through. You can also, you get the sense that these guys might know that some shit went down at Mothership, but might not know what it is. You could potentially broker with them. It would be like a 50-50 shot. If they're in Mothership's pocket, they probably like Mothership. If they're not in Mothership's pocket, then they hate Mothership. So it's like, which way?
Speaker 4:
[53:10] So we go diplomacy, then fight.
Speaker 5:
[53:13] What about the diplomatic angle? Is we saw Young Blunder there. So we can come and we can say, Young Blunder, there's talk that maybe he had involvement in all the shit going down. We got some info to bring the old drill.
Speaker 4:
[53:26] Okay, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5:
[53:28] Maybe they'll let us through.
Speaker 4:
[53:29] Cause, yeah, all right.
Speaker 5:
[53:31] Maybe it's in the name of cleaning up Young Blunder's mess.
Speaker 4:
[53:35] Right. It's in their interest.
Speaker 5:
[53:36] Maybe.
Speaker 4:
[53:37] Maybe.
Speaker 5:
[53:38] Any other thoughts?
Speaker 7:
[53:39] Well, I do have this navigator's kit. We could maybe try to find an alternate entrance using it.
Speaker 4:
[53:45] How deep is that? How deep is the rat hole? Hey, knock knock, little guy.
Speaker 5:
[53:51] Yeah, let's try that. I like that.
Speaker 7:
[53:52] The rat crawled in my gun arm. He's deep in there. This might not work, but this is like one of my background things. I have a navigator's kit for my merchant background, which I like to think is something that Sir Elmer installed in me.
Speaker 2:
[54:06] Okay, sweet.
Speaker 6:
[54:07] You have a GPS. Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[54:10] I guess give me a-
Speaker 7:
[54:12] It's plot of course is DC-10 according to the utilize in the book.
Speaker 2:
[54:15] All right. It's going to be harder than DC-10, certainly. But you know what? We'll do a sliding scale. Maybe there's another way in. This way in is the most straightforward, you'll know what you're facing, but it is heavy firepower. It looks like, like I said, there's like two scout towers. So you'd imagine there's probably a couple of guys in there, and then you see a few guys up on the wall, so minimum five or six.
Speaker 5:
[54:41] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[54:42] Okay. I don't want Slugs to get shot anymore.
Speaker 5:
[54:44] Yeah. I got about a diplomatic amount of HP.
Speaker 2:
[54:48] So go ahead and give me a- you do navigation or you do history, just be like, how much do you know this part of town from when you were hanging out here?
Speaker 7:
[54:55] I got good history.
Speaker 5:
[54:56] Great.
Speaker 7:
[54:58] 23.
Speaker 2:
[54:59] 23.
Speaker 4:
[55:00] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[55:00] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[55:01] Okay. Because they did like a lot of mining here and stuff. Back in the day, there are some complicated tunnels, so it is very easy to get lost. But if you know your way, there is a less guarded way to get into the city. So Adam begins leading you guys to these tunnels. It takes a while. You guys might start doubting him at some places and just think like, oh my God, we're going to get lost and die in the fucking mountain.
Speaker 7:
[55:26] I print out a tiny map on receipt paper and hand it to them.
Speaker 5:
[55:30] All right.
Speaker 4:
[55:31] These tunnels are getting real narrow by the way.
Speaker 5:
[55:33] I'm starting to get bored.
Speaker 7:
[55:35] There are a lot of head rats on the ground.
Speaker 5:
[55:36] Come on, there's nothing to look at.
Speaker 7:
[55:39] Just punch the wall. Maybe a rock will come out.
Speaker 5:
[55:41] Okay, I punch things.
Speaker 2:
[55:42] So yeah, you start punching the walls. You guys get to the edge of one of the mining tunnels. You start seeing mining equipment and it's night. People aren't, I mean, not that it matters when you're inside a cave what time it is, but they got unions here, come on. Yeah. So nobody's working right now. You start to see some mining equipment and then you get to some tracks that bring you into the town proper. As you try to get past the tunnel though, to get into the downtown or the town square, you do see that there are two guards at the mouth of this tunnel.
Speaker 5:
[56:19] I mean, here's the thing. Diplomacy can always turn into a fight, but not so much the other way around. So maybe we start on this.
Speaker 4:
[56:28] Maybe they're friends of Drill.
Speaker 5:
[56:31] Great.
Speaker 2:
[56:31] You guys want to do a perception check?
Speaker 4:
[56:34] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[56:35] That can give you some clue on whether these guys are going to be cool or not.
Speaker 4:
[56:38] That's a dirty 20.
Speaker 5:
[56:40] 13 perception check.
Speaker 2:
[56:42] Bad. Okay. I'll say Aux, you've got a good enough perception check that you'll be able to get a little bit of a read on the situation. I'll say guarding the mines, they're probably going to have the older guys do that. That's probably a little less exciting than guarding that barricade and getting your little bunkers and whatnot. So I'm going to say on anything higher than a five, it looks like it's some of the old guard of Hammer and Circuits. Higher than a five, otherwise, it's some young hotshots that look like they might like young. That's a nine.
Speaker 4:
[57:15] All right.
Speaker 2:
[57:16] So yeah, some crop.
Speaker 4:
[57:18] These guys look grizzled.
Speaker 2:
[57:19] Yeah, they look pretty goddamn grizzled. You see they keep spitting like way too much.
Speaker 3:
[57:23] Yeah. Too damn hot out.
Speaker 7:
[57:25] Wait a minute.
Speaker 4:
[57:26] And it's like 70 degrees.
Speaker 1:
[57:28] That's not that hot.
Speaker 3:
[57:30] I might take my coat off.
Speaker 7:
[57:31] I think they have a fever. We should give them some medicine.
Speaker 5:
[57:34] For me, spitting is like yawning. I can't help but do it when someone else does it.
Speaker 4:
[57:40] Let's go spit with them. I walk up spitting too.
Speaker 5:
[57:44] Whoa, hey!
Speaker 2:
[57:44] Pull out their hammers.
Speaker 6:
[57:45] We're just spitting.
Speaker 7:
[57:47] I'm sorry. My spit is battery acid. That's not my fault.
Speaker 3:
[57:50] What are you doing spitting in our territory?
Speaker 2:
[57:52] You see both of them pull out their hammers, turn around. One guy's got a chrome helm that is attached to his head. The other guy's got a cool visor thing over his eyes. Looks like they shoot lasers. You see they start to glow.
Speaker 3:
[58:07] Give me a reason.
Speaker 7:
[58:08] We just thought that you guys needed something to drink. You look thirsty.
Speaker 3:
[58:11] So you came back way through Mothership? You guys Mothership?
Speaker 5:
[58:15] No, no.
Speaker 4:
[58:16] We hate those guys. And those guys hate us.
Speaker 5:
[58:19] Shit's going down at Mothership and we're trying to get through the old drill because Spectre sent us to him.
Speaker 4:
[58:25] Old drill, he's the true leader.
Speaker 7:
[58:27] Yes.
Speaker 5:
[58:28] He's the true leader and we got intel for him.
Speaker 7:
[58:31] In times like this, we have to rely on the devil we know.
Speaker 4:
[58:34] Elma always told me to go straight to old drill.
Speaker 2:
[58:37] Go ahead and get...
Speaker 1:
[58:37] Ptooey.
Speaker 4:
[58:39] Ptooey. Ouch.
Speaker 6:
[58:40] Oh shit, I too came out when I did.
Speaker 2:
[58:43] Go ahead and give me a persuasion check. You can make it with advantage.
Speaker 5:
[58:46] 19.
Speaker 6:
[58:47] Nice.
Speaker 3:
[58:48] Old drill, huh?
Speaker 2:
[58:50] Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[58:51] That's who we're here to see. At least you know Spectre. You work with Spectre ever?
Speaker 3:
[58:56] Well, I know Spectre. Spectre's all right. We're officially not doing business with Spectre right now. And Young Blunderbuss told us to, you know, take anybody out that we saw messing with the mines. But let's say we didn't see you.
Speaker 5:
[59:14] Hey, we didn't see you later.
Speaker 3:
[59:16] And if you got a message for old drill, you could probably give it to him over on the south side of the neighborhood.
Speaker 7:
[59:25] Okay, we'll head right there.
Speaker 4:
[59:27] Thank you kindly. I spit on the ground.
Speaker 2:
[59:30] Spits at your feet.
Speaker 7:
[59:32] Sorry, my spit is weaponized.
Speaker 3:
[59:35] Yeah. All right. We didn't see you.
Speaker 4:
[59:37] All right.
Speaker 7:
[59:38] Do you happen to know if there's a place where my friend could get healed up? You see, I still do not see you just letting you know.
Speaker 3:
[59:44] Okay, nobody saw anybody.
Speaker 7:
[59:46] Right.
Speaker 3:
[59:46] First off, who are you guys with? You're talking about Spectre. You're talking about old drill.
Speaker 7:
[59:51] But we're Elmer's boys.
Speaker 3:
[59:53] Oh, okay.
Speaker 5:
[59:54] Killscreens.
Speaker 3:
[59:55] All right. Tell you what, going in anywhere all banged up being from killscreens, probably a lot of the shops aren't going to want to sell to you, or you might get yourselves in a fight. Better off just sneaking in the neighborhood if you want to go meet with old drill. That being said, you guys need somebody to pick up something, you throw a little bit of cash on top, and I might be able to deliver something for you.
Speaker 5:
[60:23] Okay. Yeah. I mean, I'm a pretty good cyberskitch skitches, so I got some credits to spare.
Speaker 7:
[60:30] Oh, yes.
Speaker 5:
[60:31] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[60:31] Just reach into my ass and you'll find them.
Speaker 4:
[60:35] I could transfer them digitally too.
Speaker 3:
[60:37] Let's do that.
Speaker 4:
[60:39] We could do an ass withdrawal.
Speaker 3:
[60:42] We don't need to.
Speaker 7:
[60:42] I can offer you up to 200 credits from my ass.
Speaker 5:
[60:44] An ATM, an ass telemachine.
Speaker 7:
[60:48] You're going to need a receipt either way.
Speaker 3:
[60:50] Okay. Yeah. So round here, potions are like you want to get a greater healing, elixir or something like that.
Speaker 5:
[60:59] Maybe a couple.
Speaker 3:
[61:00] Okay. So that'll be, let's say normally 100 gold credits. Let's say 200 credits.
Speaker 7:
[61:08] Yeah.
Speaker 4:
[61:09] Sounds fair to me.
Speaker 5:
[61:10] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[61:11] 200 credits.
Speaker 3:
[61:14] How many, how many you want?
Speaker 5:
[61:15] I want three.
Speaker 8:
[61:16] Three? Yeah.
Speaker 4:
[61:17] Yeah.
Speaker 3:
[61:18] 600 credits.
Speaker 4:
[61:19] All right.
Speaker 7:
[61:20] Do you want to deliver them to Old Drills? Would that be okay?
Speaker 5:
[61:23] Does that sound familiar?
Speaker 4:
[61:24] That works for you?
Speaker 5:
[61:25] Yeah, we'll do that.
Speaker 4:
[61:26] All right, we'll see you at Old Drills.
Speaker 7:
[61:27] Right. What is your name?
Speaker 3:
[61:29] My name?
Speaker 4:
[61:30] Yeah.
Speaker 3:
[61:31] Milton.
Speaker 4:
[61:33] All right, Milton.
Speaker 5:
[61:33] Milton, I'm kind of struggling because now I'm kind of thinking I could maybe ask Old Drill to do this and maybe he wouldn't charge us so steep a cost.
Speaker 3:
[61:43] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[61:43] So I want to dock you down to 400.
Speaker 3:
[61:46] 400 for four?
Speaker 5:
[61:48] No, for three.
Speaker 3:
[61:49] Oh, you wanted three for it?
Speaker 5:
[61:50] Instead of 600. I'm trying to shave 200 credits off of that.
Speaker 3:
[61:53] All right.
Speaker 5:
[61:54] And I'm saying it because I got a feeling if I go to Old Drill, he'll do it for free. But you got a chance to either make 100 credits or not.
Speaker 7:
[62:03] Milton, we will help you out in the future if you do this for us.
Speaker 3:
[62:06] All right, I choose to make 100 credits. 400 gold for three Greater Healing Potions.
Speaker 4:
[62:13] Smart dwarf.
Speaker 6:
[62:15] I actually don't, I don't know.
Speaker 5:
[62:18] Greater Healing Potions, usually 100 gold.
Speaker 7:
[62:20] I have no idea. I have no clue.
Speaker 2:
[62:23] It says according to the Naddpod official DSS.
Speaker 6:
[62:25] Wow, look at that.
Speaker 4:
[62:27] And we got 4,000 credits.
Speaker 5:
[62:28] I'm not worried. Yeah, you're right. I'm still happy to shave a little bit off.
Speaker 4:
[62:33] We got to buy stuff for the US team.
Speaker 5:
[62:34] You know what?
Speaker 7:
[62:35] In Zone 1, we have a saying, for GRED about it.
Speaker 3:
[62:39] OK, yeah. Keep your head up, because some of the lower level goons, you know, will just try to attack you and take your augmentations.
Speaker 4:
[62:50] All right, Milton.
Speaker 7:
[62:51] OK, Milton, Radley, it's been a pleasure.
Speaker 3:
[62:54] Yeah. So I'm supposed to be on guard duty. I'll probably honestly I'm probably going to make like 80 credits off this because I'm just probably going to pay someone else to go get the stuff and then bring it to you guys.
Speaker 5:
[63:03] That's fine. As long as it gets dropped off, I'm good.
Speaker 3:
[63:06] OK.
Speaker 5:
[63:07] Yeah. Hey, didn't see ya.
Speaker 4:
[63:08] Didn't see ya.
Speaker 5:
[63:09] Nice to not meet ya.
Speaker 3:
[63:11] Nice to not meet ya.
Speaker 7:
[63:12] All right.
Speaker 2:
[63:13] Sweet.
Speaker 5:
[63:14] We'll cruise on down to the southern side.
Speaker 7:
[63:16] Great.
Speaker 2:
[63:17] So you guys get into Zone 5 proper. You see it's grungier in a more familiar way. There's sort of a low level fog and dust from the nearby mines. You do see though there's a glistening cave river that flows out of some of the nearby tunnels and comes together to form a little pond in the town square. You see short bridges lead over the water into different areas of town. There are homes piled on top of each other with thin alleys between them. You see screens and signs in the town square for various local businesses and also some mothership products. You see there are a few tufts staggering about probably after a night of heavy drinking. Do you guys, how do you guys want to proceed?
Speaker 5:
[64:02] I think we stealth.
Speaker 4:
[64:04] Yeah, we've been diplomatic so far, so we don't want to do anything too crazy. Let's stealth.
Speaker 2:
[64:09] Go ahead and give me stealth checks.
Speaker 4:
[64:12] Cool.
Speaker 5:
[64:13] Thirty-twenty.
Speaker 2:
[64:14] Sick.
Speaker 7:
[64:14] Sorry, guys.
Speaker 2:
[64:16] Do you have a net one?
Speaker 6:
[64:17] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[64:18] Okay.
Speaker 6:
[64:18] Actually, you might fit in here though. Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[64:21] You're okay with the three of you. It's basically two of you have to pass. Most of you have to pass.
Speaker 7:
[64:25] Do add plus 11 to that.
Speaker 2:
[64:26] There you go. Oh, wow.
Speaker 7:
[64:28] I look like a trash can that fell over.
Speaker 3:
[64:30] There you go. Okay.
Speaker 2:
[64:31] So you guys start making your way through the alleys of the neighborhoods here, going towards Old Drill's house. And you guys, I would say, have probably been to Old Drill's place back in the day with Elmer.
Speaker 4:
[64:43] Okay.
Speaker 7:
[64:43] Do you remember when we played paintball against the hammer and circuits, guys?
Speaker 4:
[64:47] Yeah, he shot me right between the armor and right in my throat.
Speaker 5:
[64:50] And I refused to wear armor.
Speaker 7:
[64:53] Yes. I was testing you, Aux, to make sure that your armor was perfect.
Speaker 4:
[64:57] And it wasn't. You showed me the weakness. And that was how you lost you too.
Speaker 5:
[65:01] Which one?
Speaker 4:
[65:03] The back MOLA.
Speaker 5:
[65:04] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[65:05] Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[65:05] Because I bit down super hard.
Speaker 7:
[65:07] I put rocks in my gun.
Speaker 5:
[65:08] On a paintball.
Speaker 4:
[65:09] Yeah. You tried to catch a paintball with your mouth.
Speaker 5:
[65:12] Tried.
Speaker 4:
[65:13] I did.
Speaker 6:
[65:13] It was just a shed and a MOLA.
Speaker 2:
[65:16] So you guys see as you're making your way through these alleys, with your stealth checks, you're good enough to sneak past. You do see that there are some gaggles of goons, waiting to attack maybe higher ranking members on their way home to steal their augmentations or something from them, or steal money from them.
Speaker 7:
[65:35] Disrespectful.
Speaker 5:
[65:37] This gang is in disarray. If the young pups are going after the old studs.
Speaker 4:
[65:42] We got to talk to Old Drill. He's got problems here.
Speaker 2:
[65:45] So you guys find Old Drill's address that Spectre had sent you. You open a little gate and you walk up some stairs to a second floor deeper inside and see a wooden door with like iron bands on it.
Speaker 4:
[66:00] I think that's the door.
Speaker 5:
[66:01] Yeah, not politely.
Speaker 7:
[66:03] Did Old Drill ever have like a saying or something that he would recognize us by? Or like just like something he would say?
Speaker 4:
[66:08] The devil you know, right?
Speaker 7:
[66:09] The devil you know.
Speaker 2:
[66:10] Yeah, okay. So you knock and you say the devil you know. And you see Old Drill does not answer but two gruff cybernetic dwarves answer. You recognize them immediately. You see one guy opens the door and the other guy is just standing next to him, mirroring him. These guys are the Van Hammer brothers. They're identical twins, both with cybernetically enhanced metal arms and giant hammers. One has a red visor that is over his left eye and one has a blue one that covers his right. They just look at you and kind of grunt.
Speaker 7:
[66:47] What's up boys? How's it been?
Speaker 3:
[66:52] Bringing your trouble here.
Speaker 7:
[66:54] Listen, we're all in trouble. Things are tense.
Speaker 4:
[66:57] Yeah, and there's about to be more. We got to talk to Old Drill.
Speaker 7:
[67:00] Yes.
Speaker 5:
[67:01] Yeah, we saw your leader partying with Mothership. Probably why so much Mothership tech seems to be floating around your zone.
Speaker 2:
[67:11] Go ahead and give me an insight check. All of us?
Speaker 4:
[67:14] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[67:16] Oh, just that seven.
Speaker 4:
[67:18] Eighteen, also.
Speaker 2:
[67:20] You guys see the Van Hammer brothers, as you say that, that young blunder was there. They give each other like a quick little look. And as if, I'll say within 18, what you read into that is that they're not surprised and are maybe a little mad that you know that he was there.
Speaker 4:
[67:40] All right. We clock that.
Speaker 2:
[67:41] These guys take you in up another set of stairs and you guys go up to the third floor. Van Hammer brothers open the door, close it behind you.
Speaker 5:
[67:50] Oh, I don't like that.
Speaker 2:
[67:52] And inside, you are now in Old Drill's apartment. You see this older dwarf, a long white beard, pretty skinny, he's got like a nosed boy cap on, lost a few pounds of muscle in his old age. Just, you know, seeing an old warrior, seeing like an old athlete that has slowed down a bit. But there are reminders of the fierceness of his youth. You see on his right arm, he's got this like rotating machine that can like change it to be like different uses. So you see like changes it to like a metal hand and goes, oh, come in, come in kids.
Speaker 3:
[68:28] What have you guys gotten yourselves into?
Speaker 7:
[68:30] It's bad out there, Uncle Drilly.
Speaker 8:
[68:34] Give me a hug. Adam, look at you. I mean, you're a robot, so you look exactly the same, but it's so good to see.
Speaker 7:
[68:40] I don't know. Check out.
Speaker 8:
[68:42] Yeah.
Speaker 4:
[68:42] Hey, Uncle Drilly.
Speaker 8:
[68:43] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[68:44] I look the same except for this, and I point to my little like conquest marks for all the people I slept with.
Speaker 8:
[68:50] This guy's out here having sex. That's good for you.
Speaker 5:
[68:53] Uncle Drilly, did you see the kill screens won yet and not a jam?
Speaker 8:
[68:58] I did see that. Congratulations. Hey, my hammer and circuits out here, they got a pretty good Cyberskitch team themselves. We'll have to see someday. Someday, maybe I'll make it out to a game.
Speaker 7:
[69:09] That'll be a humdinger.
Speaker 4:
[69:10] Like the old times.
Speaker 8:
[69:11] Just like the old times.
Speaker 5:
[69:13] Uncle Drilly, I got to ask about these Van Hammer brothers. Do you ask them to watch you like this? I'm trying to read if they're looking out for you or they're keeping an eye on you. Do you feel safe with them?
Speaker 8:
[69:29] No.
Speaker 5:
[69:30] You don't.
Speaker 2:
[69:31] He pulls you in.
Speaker 8:
[69:33] Oh, I don't feel very safe with them.
Speaker 5:
[69:36] Okay.
Speaker 8:
[69:36] Let's talk super quietly. I think they're probably listening.
Speaker 5:
[69:40] Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[69:41] Hold on.
Speaker 4:
[69:42] We're going to kill them right now. Let's wait till your healing potions get here.
Speaker 5:
[69:46] Yeah, we got some healing potions on the other side.
Speaker 7:
[69:48] I got to get delivered. I think there's a Burger King nearby.
Speaker 3:
[69:52] Well, no, we don't need to go to Burger King.
Speaker 5:
[69:55] I can add something to the oil.
Speaker 7:
[69:56] We can double-dash it.
Speaker 2:
[69:59] You see, he's like real old school.
Speaker 8:
[70:01] I'll make you a burger, okay? We got all the stuff here. Wow.
Speaker 5:
[70:05] Do you have anything to get my healing started so that we can actually take care of them now? Because I have a feeling they're going to steal my healing potions if we don't.
Speaker 4:
[70:14] I think I do. All I got is, I'm going to jack something into your back and cast Heroism on you. It's going to give you a 10th HP.
Speaker 8:
[70:27] Oh, nice. Okay. So politically, it might not be super popular if I house you guys and then murder the Van Hammer.
Speaker 5:
[70:37] Okay. Actually.
Speaker 8:
[70:38] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[70:38] Take it. Unjack. Unjack. Save that for later.
Speaker 8:
[70:40] Hey, if you like, again, I don't really trust them very much. They're watching me because everybody likes old Uncle Drill. And you're a flintbuster, old blunderbuss herself. I miss her every day. One mistake she made was having her boy be the new leader of our gang.
Speaker 7:
[71:01] It should have been you, Uncle Drilly.
Speaker 6:
[71:03] Oh, thanks for saying that.
Speaker 5:
[71:05] How did that shake out? If you don't mind me prying into potentially a sensitive moment in your life.
Speaker 8:
[71:10] How did it shake out?
Speaker 5:
[71:12] Yeah, how did it shake out that it went to him and not you?
Speaker 8:
[71:15] Well, basically his mom said I was too old and that it's her son and she loves him more than me.
Speaker 5:
[71:24] Forgive me, I was projecting fantasy stories of succession on wrong.
Speaker 8:
[71:32] Oh no, I have very little. Well, I have some political power. I think people like Uncle Drill.
Speaker 4:
[71:40] We love Uncle Drill.
Speaker 7:
[71:40] People like Uncle Drill.
Speaker 8:
[71:42] We love Uncle Drill. People like Uncle Drill. See, the only problem here.
Speaker 5:
[71:47] Uncle Drill gives the best present at the White Elephant and everyone's fighting for it.
Speaker 8:
[71:52] Everybody's trying to steal it. Look, I got something that will help you heal up.
Speaker 4:
[71:55] He gave me this saw off blunderbuss when I was 11.
Speaker 8:
[71:57] Yeah. Here you go. I taught you how to shoot.
Speaker 7:
[72:00] Normally, you have to wait until you're 12.
Speaker 8:
[72:01] Yeah. That's right. You shoot at the rats. Okay. You don't shoot at your friends. I'm going to make everybody hot hamburgers.
Speaker 5:
[72:09] Okay. Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[72:10] Can you make mine without the bun so I can put it in my dollar bill slot?
Speaker 8:
[72:13] Absolutely.
Speaker 7:
[72:14] Thank you. Okay.
Speaker 4:
[72:15] Can you make mine my way like they do a perky game?
Speaker 8:
[72:18] I'm going to make yours burnt like I make all of them. Okay.
Speaker 5:
[72:22] I'll give fried onions on top.
Speaker 8:
[72:27] I don't have many vegetables in my house.
Speaker 6:
[72:29] I don't have any vegetables in my house. I'm going to have a gag reflex if I don't get fried onions on top.
Speaker 7:
[72:33] Rover has fried onions. Rover, get the cooler.
Speaker 8:
[72:36] Why don't you guys?
Speaker 4:
[72:37] Rover.
Speaker 8:
[72:38] Why don't we have it? Beep, beep, beep.
Speaker 4:
[72:41] You have onions in there.
Speaker 6:
[72:43] It's just if it doesn't taste exactly how I want it to, I have a gag reflex.
Speaker 4:
[72:47] Oh, these are going to be blue. He's got a crispa.
Speaker 2:
[72:49] Rover has onions. Rover starts making onions.
Speaker 4:
[72:52] He's a yeti.
Speaker 6:
[72:53] I just need things to taste exactly how I want them to.
Speaker 7:
[72:56] While this is going on, I'm going to cast a minor illusion because it says I can create a sound, the volume ranging from a whisper to a scream. So I'm just going to put on some Screamo music so that the brothers can hear us.
Speaker 5:
[73:08] I don't even know it's an illusion. I'm just like, nice tunes, dude. Nice tunes.
Speaker 8:
[73:13] This scares me whatever it is. I don't know. Okay. Well, demons in my sleep. That's scary stuff. Yeah. So basically, the new boss has me being watched by the Van Hammer brothers because everybody loves Uncle Drill. If anything bad happens to Uncle Drill, the old guys are going to be upset. Yeah. Like some of the old guys too.
Speaker 4:
[73:40] A tenuous piece by just keeping them alive.
Speaker 8:
[73:43] Yeah. But you know what? Forget about me.
Speaker 2:
[73:45] He clears off. His place is a fucking mess. There's just stuff everywhere. He has so many magazines.
Speaker 5:
[73:52] Slug does not clock this.
Speaker 6:
[73:54] Slug thinks this is what cleaning is.
Speaker 2:
[73:55] It's honestly not that different from the arcade. Yeah.
Speaker 4:
[73:57] This is fine.
Speaker 2:
[73:58] You see lights pouring in from the outside, but he goes in and he closes the curtains. You see moves some mess from a liquor cart, starts pouring drinks, clears off a little coffee table. Scotch or...?
Speaker 4:
[74:13] Yeah, both. Whatever you got.
Speaker 5:
[74:14] Okay, I got a little bit of everything. Scotch and 7th.
Speaker 4:
[74:18] Scotch and whiskey.
Speaker 7:
[74:19] Painkiller for me.
Speaker 8:
[74:20] Okay. Painkiller.
Speaker 5:
[74:22] Just one slug of everything.
Speaker 2:
[74:25] Put Ibuprofen into bourbon.
Speaker 7:
[74:27] Uncle Drilly.
Speaker 8:
[74:28] Funny.
Speaker 7:
[74:29] Funny as ever.
Speaker 8:
[74:30] Okay. So what have you guys gotten yourselves into? I haven't seen you in a while.
Speaker 7:
[74:34] I think this extends beyond just the kill screens. Mothership.
Speaker 5:
[74:38] I'm going to maybe go to the window and just peek out the curtain just to keep an eye on what's going out in the town square.
Speaker 2:
[74:45] Sure.
Speaker 5:
[74:46] But I also want to be like, Specter, how much can we let Uncle Drilly in on what's going on?
Speaker 2:
[74:51] I mean, Uncle Drill is as solid as they come.
Speaker 5:
[74:55] Okay. So we're going to tell him what we found.
Speaker 4:
[74:57] We're going to unload then.
Speaker 5:
[74:58] We're going to tell everything?
Speaker 7:
[74:59] Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[74:59] Okay. All right. I come back. Yeah.
Speaker 7:
[75:03] If anyone knows how to destroy this chip or get it somewhere safe, it might be the dwarves. They're used to handling rare metals.
Speaker 5:
[75:10] Okay. Yeah.
Speaker 8:
[75:10] Okay. Yeah. Wow. All right. Well, I imagine Mothership is going to come looking for that, but maybe if we can get this chip back to Specter, maybe if me and Specter were to take a look at it together with you, Aux, maybe we can figure out a way to get rid of it.
Speaker 2:
[75:26] Or maybe even, yeah, you see Specter ways in and Specter's like, we might need to investigate it and find a way to reverse engineer it.
Speaker 5:
[75:35] Sorry. Can you say that again? I put my earpiece on speaker.
Speaker 8:
[75:37] Sorry.
Speaker 6:
[75:38] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[75:39] Hi, everyone.
Speaker 4:
[75:41] Hi, Specter.
Speaker 8:
[75:42] Hi.
Speaker 7:
[75:43] Hang on. I'll turn down the music. It's really loud.
Speaker 8:
[75:45] It's me, Uncle Curly.
Speaker 5:
[75:47] Yeah, this is what makes your Uncle Curly funny.
Speaker 3:
[75:48] Claws in my back while I'm trying to sleep.
Speaker 6:
[75:51] All right.
Speaker 2:
[75:52] You guys are doing the annoying speakerphone thing for sure. Yeah. You see, she goes, if you destroy the chip, it's possible that they might be able to recreate it. They might have the tech. But if you can get it to me, I might be able to come up with a security patch to fight it.
Speaker 5:
[76:11] Yeah, because this is like a zero-day export, right? So if you're able to figure out what it's exploiting, you can prevent everything from... You can safeguard everything from it.
Speaker 7:
[76:22] Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2:
[76:23] Exactly, Slug.
Speaker 7:
[76:24] That's precisely correct.
Speaker 5:
[76:26] Okay.
Speaker 4:
[76:26] Wow. Right answer.
Speaker 7:
[76:28] This feels like in the old stories, when there would be a cursed item that you would need to destroy. It seems like a cursed sword or something, but with computers.
Speaker 5:
[76:36] Yeah, but don't always project the old stories because here I was trying to think Uncle Drizzy got preempted with conspiracy.
Speaker 7:
[76:46] You're drunk. Slugs, you're drunk. You're tired. You're drunk.
Speaker 6:
[76:50] I had a shot at everything and there's like a cabinet and it's hitting me out.
Speaker 7:
[76:55] She's on a lot of drugs right now.
Speaker 6:
[76:57] I don't finish my sentence. It just passed out. Okay. Oh, Oh shit.
Speaker 8:
[77:02] Okay. Yeah.
Speaker 4:
[77:04] Drizzy, she passed out.
Speaker 8:
[77:05] It's not my name. It's not my name.
Speaker 4:
[77:08] I thought it was a nickname on the nickname.
Speaker 7:
[77:10] Anyway, Sir Elmer would tell us stories from the Age of Heroes about cursed items and maybe this feels like our quest in a way to remove this curse.
Speaker 4:
[77:20] We got to get it from zone. We're in zone five.
Speaker 8:
[77:23] Yeah. You got to get back to zone one. Well, you're free to rest up. And speaking of Sir Elmer, I'm so sorry about your loss. How was it? We haven't seen each other in a while.
Speaker 7:
[77:33] It's okay. If you like, we could all go into your bathroom and flush the toilet in remembrance.
Speaker 8:
[77:38] Yeah, we can do that. I also have something that he had left here last time we were talking, he and I.
Speaker 4:
[77:45] You do?
Speaker 8:
[77:46] Yeah. He was... I'm surprised you guys aren't out of here. He was talking about buying an airship.
Speaker 1:
[77:54] Airship?
Speaker 7:
[77:55] What?
Speaker 1:
[77:57] What? What?
Speaker 4:
[77:57] To go on like a vacation or something?
Speaker 8:
[77:59] I thought... I assumed you guys all knew this.
Speaker 2:
[78:03] You see old Drilly goes over and he starts looking through his papers.
Speaker 8:
[78:08] And as he's looking through his papers, he's talking and he's like, Yeah, Elmer was talking about selling the arcade. No. He didn't want this life for you guys. He was talking about buying an airship and he showed me this.
Speaker 2:
[78:23] And you see he reaches in and he finds an old paper. He hands it to you guys and you see there is an ad that looks like it was maybe delivered to the arcade. It is for an airship. Airship is for 20,000 credits. You see it's an old cargo ship from Esri. It lists that it can hold up to 30 passengers, including 10 crew. There are little notes on it. Where Elmer has marked it up, you see an arrow at the wheel that says Aux on it. You see up at the crow's nest, it says Atom. You see there's like a grappling hook area with cannons and there are multiple arrows pointing that say Slug.
Speaker 5:
[79:04] He knows that I need so much stimulation.
Speaker 2:
[79:08] You also see other names of crew members from Zone 1 of the kill screens. And you guys also see at the bottom, there is a watermark from who is selling this airship.
Speaker 4:
[79:24] Oh, who is selling it?
Speaker 2:
[79:26] And it is Underground Ironworks Coalition.
Speaker 4:
[79:29] They lured him in.
Speaker 7:
[79:30] What?
Speaker 1:
[79:30] This is how they got us.
Speaker 4:
[79:31] They sold him a dream and they trapped him.
Speaker 5:
[79:35] So this was the deal that went wrong and took his life?
Speaker 7:
[79:40] His deal was to get us out. They trapped him with his hopes. Whoever did this is going to really get it.
Speaker 5:
[79:49] Uncle Drilly, I got to ask, do you know who the Underground Ironworks Coalition is?
Speaker 8:
[79:58] I've never heard. I don't know anything about that.
Speaker 1:
[80:00] These are the motherfuckers that killed him.
Speaker 8:
[80:04] You think?
Speaker 5:
[80:05] I think I know, which I guess means I think, but I feel like I know.
Speaker 2:
[80:11] So you guys stand there with Uncle Drill. Looking at this piece of paper, Elmer had disappeared under suspicious circumstances and now you see that maybe he was trying to surprise you guys or didn't want you guys to try to talk him out of trying to sell the arcade, but he had gone to do some kind of business dealing and then was attacked and never came back. This might have been the lore.
Speaker 5:
[80:38] Does this mean that the arcade has been sold though?
Speaker 4:
[80:42] No, nothing ever did the deal.
Speaker 5:
[80:43] No. Okay. Just making sure that they didn't get him to sell it and then kill him, in which case the arcade is already-
Speaker 4:
[80:50] I mean, either way, they're dead. So even if they sold it, we're going to get everything. We're going to take it all away from them if they think they own anything.
Speaker 5:
[80:58] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[80:58] You guys suddenly hear alerts start going off.
Speaker 4:
[81:02] I'll bring it on.
Speaker 2:
[81:04] Alerts coming from your augmentations and things like that. You see that old drill, like any old person, has like 10 TVs on in his room. You see just like always flashing the news.
Speaker 5:
[81:17] Down to 10, huh? Getting conservative in your old age.
Speaker 8:
[81:21] Yeah. Just don't have your attention span anymore.
Speaker 2:
[81:25] But you see all of the TVs automatically turn to the Mothership News Network.
Speaker 7:
[81:31] Oh no. Here it comes.
Speaker 5:
[81:33] You might see us on the TV, Uncle Trill. Try to be proud.
Speaker 4:
[81:38] We're famous.
Speaker 7:
[81:39] You know us when.
Speaker 2:
[81:40] All of the TVs turn to Mothership News Network. And you guys see your pictures flashing across the screen.
Speaker 3:
[81:48] And that's where we'll end our session.
Speaker 4:
[81:51] They had to use one where I'm blinking.
Speaker 7:
[81:55] You need to get better at Photoshop.
Speaker 5:
[81:56] My arms look so small in that.
Speaker 6:
[81:58] I know there's a better angle.
Speaker 2:
[82:00] Yeah, they Photoshopped you guys. AI to make you guys look worse. You guys all have extra fingers and look skinnier and uglier.
Speaker 7:
[82:07] They made my shirt look dumb. It's the same shirt.
Speaker 2:
[82:10] Yeah. Sweet. So you can listen to us talk about this on the after show, The Short Rest. That's patreon.com/naddpod. Don't sing yet.
