title Shai & The OKC Thunder CANNOT Be Stopped

description Shai Gilgeous Alexander & The OKC Thunder CANNOT Be Stopped according to Gil's Arena as the Gil's Arena Crew react to another blow out win for the reigning champs over the Phoenix Suns and give their biggest takeaways from a masterclass by Shai Gilgeous Alexander. They also react to Jalen Williams set to miss extensive time after re-aggravating his nagging hamstring injury and debate if this changes the Thunder's long term prospects in the NBA Playoffs before breaking down the duel between Dillon Brooks and SGA as Dillon the Villain is up to his old tricks trying to get the MVP off his game. Next, they break down Cade Cunningham & The Detroit Pistons getting their get back over the Orlando Magic with a big Game 2 win and debate which version of the Pistons we should expect to see throughout the rest of the NBA Playoffs before reacting to the positive news surrounding Victor Wembanyama & his concussion as the San Antonio Spurs have not ruled out their superstar for Friday's Game 3 against the Portland Trailblazers. Finally, they discuss Wemby's teammate Keldon Johnson taking home the NBA's sixth man of the year award before giving their takes on what could be the final game of the Golden State Warriors dynasty as Steve Kerr, Steph Curry and Draymond Green might have shared the court together for the final time. [00:27] Why be feeling like this during the playoff, during the best time of the year?

Speaker 1:
[00:31] It gets quiet.

Speaker 3:
[00:32] It gets quiet.

Speaker 2:
[00:34] Because certain people teams losing.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 3:
[00:43] Did you see Trevor?

Speaker 1:
[00:44] Lamar?

Speaker 3:
[00:45] It's kind of like the team LeBron got right now. Is that LeBron?

Speaker 1:
[00:48] Oh, wow.

Speaker 3:
[00:50] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[00:50] That's LeBron doing?

Speaker 3:
[00:52] Doing similar. So I see the vision.

[01:44] Champion on the court, champion in life.

Speaker 3:
[01:46] Best in the valley, best player. He said best player in the valley.

Speaker 6:
[01:50] Only champion? Like NBA? You talking about NBA champion, not life.

Speaker 2:
[01:53] Or just champion in life?

Speaker 3:
[01:56] See, that's what I'm saying. See what I mean? They don't even understand this. Like, the champion is shit.

Speaker 6:
[02:01] Because you ain't win shit in college. You ain't win shit in high school.

Speaker 3:
[02:05] But we talking about that.

Speaker 6:
[02:06] You ain't win shit.

Speaker 3:
[02:07] We talking about the life of life.

Speaker 6:
[02:08] You didn't even win shit at the Drew League.

Speaker 3:
[02:09] You ain't even win in the Drew.

Speaker 1:
[02:10] Swaggy, have you ever won a Drew League championship?

Speaker 3:
[02:12] Come on, man. I've run it like I am living. That is the last you're finished on.

Speaker 1:
[02:15] That is the last you're finished on.

Speaker 6:
[02:17] You barely got a big three shit.

Speaker 3:
[02:18] You got the big three shit. I won a big three.

Speaker 6:
[02:20] After me. After me.

Speaker 3:
[02:22] I won the NBA championship that summer. Won a Drew League championship. Then won a big three championship.

Speaker 6:
[02:31] Triple crown.

Speaker 3:
[02:31] Just a winner in life, bro.

Speaker 1:
[02:33] Okay.

Speaker 6:
[02:34] You did a bunch of shit after.

Speaker 1:
[02:36] God is good.

Speaker 6:
[02:38] After the fact, just like me.

Speaker 1:
[02:40] We are after champions, That's all right.

Speaker 6:
[02:43] You ain't say shit about the Chinese shit. You know what I'm saying? Got some Brazil shit.

Speaker 7:
[02:49] You know what I'm saying? It don't matter.

Speaker 6:
[02:52] I'm a champion of the work too. I ain't never lost a game in the work. The work league. The World Work Association.

Speaker 3:
[03:01] Great street, man.

Speaker 7:
[03:01] Yeah. Big OG great.

Speaker 3:
[03:05] Oh, yeah.

Speaker 7:
[03:05] Great street.

Speaker 1:
[03:07] See you next to Swaggy, representing tough crowd, car carrying country club member. We got Mr. B, Brandon Jennings back here with us.

Speaker 7:
[03:14] Hey, hey, hey, hey!

Speaker 1:
[03:17] Last but not least, do this one.

Speaker 3:
[03:19] Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 1:
[03:20] The man known as Cemetery Larry, NCAA champion of the world, Dr. Rashad McCants, PhD.

Speaker 6:
[03:32] It's always easy.

Speaker 1:
[03:34] Gotta wait. Gotta respect the sound effects. We got a lot to get into. Here's what's cracking in Gils Arena today. The Pistons bounce back with a dominant second half to even the series with the Magic. Is Detroit back in the driver's seat in this particular series? We will discuss. Thunder made light work of the Suns again to take a 2-0 series lead, but are the Suns' complaints about the way the defending champs get officiated justified? Devin Booker sounded off. Dillon Brooks sounded off. People are not rolling with the Thunder whistle. We will get into it. The Warriors and Steve Kerr may be parting ways in the near future with a busy offseason on the horizon. Where do the Dubs go from here? Who's staying? Who's going? Pray for the Dubs' downfall, but not like this, ladies and gentlemen, not like this. Before we get into all that, as always, this show is brought to you by Underdog. We have some Western Conference Playoffs. Last night, two games late, Thunder made light work of the Suns with a 35 point blowout win in game one of their opening round series. OKC's top rated defense did what they do best, holding Phoenix a 35% shooting and dominating both sides of the ball. Suns tried to bounce back in game two, but it was more of the same from the reigning MVP in his supporting cast. Let's take a look at the highlights if we can please. SGA led the way with a game high 37 points on 13 of 25 shooting, along with nine assists and five boards. His third career playoff game with 35, five and five. And 22nd playoff game with 30 plus points over the last three seasons. Thunder been number one in the west for each of those three seasons. Now the game was close in the first half. Suns did their best to try to even things up. Thunder took an eight point lead into the break. As you see Jalen Williams, we'll talk about him in a second. Some unfortunate news for J-Dub.

Speaker 3:
[05:46] Foul, foul. That was a foul right there.

Speaker 1:
[05:49] Another big bucket though. Jalen Williams had 19 points in the first half on seven or eight shooting.

Speaker 4:
[05:55] Huh, light work.

Speaker 3:
[05:57] So easy on him. Want to chase each fly off.

Speaker 1:
[06:02] We see Dillon Brooks, Dillon the Villain, doing his thing right there.

Speaker 3:
[06:06] Huh, that's a foul right? He's going to pass out the way. I don't see no foul right there. Huh, boom, you too little. Look out. I mean, Buck Greene.

Speaker 1:
[06:16] You're play by play. Like I said, Jalen Williams, 19 points in the first half, but left the game midway through the third quarter after suffering a left hamstring injury. Chad Holmgren added 19 points, eight rebounds and four blocks anchoring the Thunder defense. Dillon Brooks led the Suns with a team high 30 points on 12 of 23 shooting before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Devin Booker added 22 points to seven boards. Jalen Greene had 21 on eight of 23 shooting, but a team high seven turnovers. OKC outscored Phoenix 35-20 in the third quarter, taking control of the game, led by as much as 26 points in the fourth quarter before the Suns tried to make a late game rally. Suns cut that deficit to 10 with under four minutes remaining, but that's as close as they would get. Thunder Force 22 turnovers in the game, scoring 22 points off those Suns and miscues. Now OKC, the sixth team in NBA history with 10 straight wins in the first round, while the Suns have now lost a franchise record eight straight playoff games. Swaggy, I heard you commentating during the highlight. What are your biggest takeaways from the Thunder's game to win over the Suns?

Speaker 3:
[07:18] We all seen this coming. Sometimes the team is just better than you, as well as OKC is. The fact they could turn, they could get Phoenix to turn the ball over at the rate they doing, I don't think that has nothing to do with officiating. That's just defense. Getting players frustrated. And they're taking care of business. That's the reason why they're the number one team. They all on the same court. They all play defense. They know their roles. And they play them with confidence. You know, how they playing right now with J.Dub back and Chet doing the things he do. Shai's on the mission. 37 last night. I think OKC is just too much for Phoenix right now.

Speaker 1:
[08:04] Too much for the Phoenix Suns. Mr. B, let's shift over to you. Biggest takeaways from the Thunder's game two win over the Suns.

Speaker 2:
[08:13] I mean, this series is already over. I mean, you know, Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green, you know, they're trying to do the best they can. You know, they're the ones that are shooting a lot of the shots. You know, they're not really getting a lot out of Devin Booker. He had 14, what, 14 shots last game or something like that. So, they're definitely trapping him and putting a lot of pressure on them. I mean, they just don't have any chance. I mean, it just doesn't matter about the refs or anything like that. It's just their energy at home. You know, J-Dub just went down. But, I mean, you know, this series is over in four, man. This is just something to where OKC could just work on their game, just keep getting better. I know SGA just hurt his hand, so we'll see what that timetable is on that. But, I mean, other than that, man, they're just too deep. They're just too deep and they're just too good right now.

Speaker 1:
[09:10] SGA hurt his hand earlier in the game. Obviously, looked a little bothered by it, but still put up 37 in the win. So not too fazed by it, but like you mentioned, J-Dub hamstring injury, other leg, you know.

Speaker 2:
[09:23] Sucks to see him go down, too. He only played 33 games. Looked like he was just going to get into his back. But they're too deep, man. They have enough. Like, you know, if J-Dub is going to be out, he can rest until the Western Conference Finals.

Speaker 1:
[09:39] I don't know about that.

Speaker 2:
[09:41] Listen, bro, he can rest until the Western Conference Finals.

Speaker 1:
[09:44] You got to...

Speaker 3:
[09:45] We're not Phoenix.

Speaker 1:
[09:46] You got a surging team in Los Angeles.

Speaker 3:
[09:47] We're not Phoenix.

Speaker 2:
[09:48] Bro, they can beat Phoenix with their second unit.

Speaker 3:
[09:50] That's Phoenix. They're soft.

Speaker 1:
[09:52] But they got a juggernaut waiting for them in the second round. If things pan out how they should, God willing. Let's shift over to this side of the couch. Dr. McCants, what are your biggest takeaways from the Thunder game to win over the Suns?

Speaker 6:
[10:11] I haven't really been a fan of the Thunder this year. And I'm guessing it's because of the whistle. It's a lot of things that you could say as a hooper when you go into the locker room, prep for the game and the coach come in and he said tonight, it's going to be 8 on 5. It's going to be 8 on 5. We got to figure out how to get it. They're going to get their whistles. We're playing against them in the refs, so we got to figure out how to balance the score sheet. The one thing as a team you know that's happening when you're out there playing defense against guys who can play, and you can't say they can't play. I mean, SGA is good, Chet is good, J-Dub is good, AJ. Mitchell is good. There's a lot of those guys out there that can play. So to play without fouling is a different type of mindset when you're going out there as a team, as you're an underdog, you're supposed to lose this game. But how do you guard guys when you know you're playing like you can't guard them? Because they're going to get the whistle on every given chance. So it sets you back automatically. And you can see they was playing not to foul, and they were still getting fouls. But it's never really truly about the officiating like y'all saying, it's really about your approach. And I think them not having no big to counterbalance Chet and Harkinstein on the floor at the same time, it's tough. You really don't got no rotation. I don't know who number 11 is, I don't know who number 10 is. Because y'all ain't got no answer for that shit that they do and throwing lives and shit. That gives SGA really, he's breezing out there, it's cruise control. So Devin Booker, I could see his frustration when he's trying to do what SGA is doing. And I could see Dillon Brooks' frustration as far as, this is the playoffs, bro. All that shit y'all did to get the calls and all that shit in regular season, that's cool, we give y'all that. But this is playoffs time, let's play equal, let's give us the same calls they're getting or let's not call shit. And I'm not saying that that changes the outcome of the game, because like y'all said, I mean, OKC do look polished defensively. I think they definitely running around and doing what they're supposed to do. But that don't mean they're not fouling. That don't mean that they out there, everybody all defense and they just the greatest defensive team, no. Some shit that could change the trajectory of the game, especially when it was like down seven, down six. Some things could have went their way. But that's no excuse for the Suns. They're just not a good team right now.

Speaker 2:
[12:50] But there's always been teams that got away with fouls like that. I mean, we can always go back to the 90s with Utah Jazz and John Stockton them. And then you had the Knicks and then you had the Detroit Pistons.

Speaker 3:
[13:03] I think. But when you play hard.

Speaker 2:
[13:05] But I think a certain team.

Speaker 6:
[13:06] Playoffs is you let you play hard. Let everybody play.

Speaker 2:
[13:10] I know. But there's certain teams every year that I feel like Utah's always been a team that even when Darren Williams was there, they played physical. It was different. I think certain teams just get that that leeway with it. I mean, it's the way they approach it, too. Like, I mean, but also we the champions. I mean, you know, you're not going to come into our house and we plan, you know, to the level of what it's supposed to be. I mean, shit.

Speaker 6:
[13:31] But the head of the basketball operations for referees is a Thunder fan.

Speaker 3:
[13:36] No.

Speaker 6:
[13:37] Albert Sanders Jr. Yeah, he's a Thunder's guy. And James Williams, we've got to figure out how many games James Williams has been reffing for OKC. He wearing the...

Speaker 1:
[13:48] Wait, what happened?

Speaker 3:
[13:50] Because you're playing hard and you get that reputation and you get known for playing hard.

Speaker 6:
[13:55] Everybody play hard, though. I just want to team you.

Speaker 3:
[13:57] Y'all say it all the time. Everybody don't play defense like that. You say it all. Certain teams that don't play defense like that.

Speaker 6:
[14:02] You saying two different things, though. Playing defense and playing hard is two different things.

Speaker 3:
[14:06] And when you, when refs know that that's how you play, that's your style of play on defense. They let certain things go. They do.

Speaker 6:
[14:13] They let certain guys play defense like Lou Duard, Marcus Smart. Those are defenders, though.

Speaker 2:
[14:19] Okay.

Speaker 6:
[14:20] I'm talking about guys.

Speaker 3:
[14:20] That whole team is like...

Speaker 6:
[14:21] I'm talking about guys playing hard. When you out there playing hard, you still fouling motherfuckers. You still hacking.

Speaker 3:
[14:28] That's the way they play.

Speaker 6:
[14:29] I get it. But not all of them are good defenders.

Speaker 3:
[14:32] Who's not? Who's not?

Speaker 6:
[14:33] For OKC. It's only two good defenders out there. Dort and Wallace. And you could throw Chet in there. Those three. Caruso? Caruso? Caruso? He play hard.

Speaker 8:
[14:44] SGA. I mean, he's top five in defense.

Speaker 6:
[14:46] They play hard.

Speaker 7:
[14:47] They play defense?

Speaker 6:
[14:48] They play hard. The defenders on their team is Lou Duard and Wallace Duard are the defenders on their team. Everybody else, if you play hard, just like if we go out there, we play hard. If all three of us not the defender, we're not locked down, but if we play hard, we look like we're playing defense.

Speaker 7:
[15:04] Chet don't play defense? I just said Chet.

Speaker 3:
[15:05] I said Chet.

Speaker 6:
[15:07] Huh?

Speaker 3:
[15:07] They do that every night.

Speaker 6:
[15:08] But that's what I'm saying. That ain't to say that the Suns don't have nobody that play hard. No, they do.

Speaker 8:
[15:13] No, Dillon Brooks plays.

Speaker 6:
[15:15] What I'm saying, they're not getting the same play hard cause that OKC do, cause it look different.

Speaker 2:
[15:20] Because that's not their reputation.

Speaker 8:
[15:22] They got the reputation of that.

Speaker 6:
[15:23] Indiana last year, Indiana played hard. They didn't have no fucking stoppers. They didn't have no defensive stoppers, but all of those guys playing hard made it look like they was playing defense.

Speaker 8:
[15:37] But they got calls. Let's say no play defense with the Braves over there.

Speaker 6:
[15:39] They got calls.

Speaker 3:
[15:41] And it took them a second.

Speaker 9:
[15:42] Got calls.

Speaker 8:
[15:43] Okay.

Speaker 6:
[15:44] Because you playing hard. So what the complaint is now is like, bro, I got a guy on me playing hard. He ain't no defender. I get a foul on that mother. You don't call it. But we go down here and we get a we get a Dillon Brooks to get a get a foul call. And he's supposed to this is the defender. Let him play.

Speaker 3:
[16:04] Did you see the highlights?

Speaker 6:
[16:05] Yeah, I watched the game, though.

Speaker 3:
[16:07] I'm saying every time Shai did that bump to Jalen Green, you can't fly back down there three yards. But what's the you can't get hit in the chest and just fly back a half. He got this much.

Speaker 6:
[16:19] What's the constant for SGA with that particular move? Even Doris Burke says it on the fucking show.

Speaker 3:
[16:25] What?

Speaker 6:
[16:26] He's pushing off and he's getting away.

Speaker 2:
[16:28] Getting his shoulder right here.

Speaker 6:
[16:30] Not only is she saying it, she's a rally. She rallies for him. But she's like, you got to give Devin Booker the same leeway.

Speaker 8:
[16:38] No, you don't.

Speaker 3:
[16:39] No.

Speaker 6:
[16:39] Why not?

Speaker 7:
[16:40] No. It's the same move.

Speaker 8:
[16:42] Because that one move.

Speaker 3:
[16:44] No, no, no.

Speaker 6:
[16:44] I'm just saying just period. Like, him going to do that move is his signature.

Speaker 3:
[16:49] It's his signature move. Is Devin Booker?

Speaker 6:
[16:52] They have.

Speaker 3:
[16:54] They have.

Speaker 2:
[16:54] So you think Devin Booker and SGA should be getting the same calls?

Speaker 6:
[16:57] I think that if you're in a series and you got two superstars playing against each other, it shouldn't go one way or the other.

Speaker 9:
[17:03] No, it shouldn't go one way.

Speaker 6:
[17:06] You got Devin Booker, not a superstar?

Speaker 2:
[17:07] No, no, no. He's a superstar. But what I'm saying is, he's on SGA's level.

Speaker 6:
[17:11] What you mean? Yes.

Speaker 3:
[17:14] Man, come on, man.

Speaker 6:
[17:14] Devin Booker averaged 28 a game.

Speaker 8:
[17:16] Okay, he's on SGA's level.

Speaker 1:
[17:17] All right.

Speaker 3:
[17:18] So he should be doing this.

Speaker 1:
[17:20] He used to be.

Speaker 3:
[17:21] He should be carrying this team to number one.

Speaker 6:
[17:23] Of course.

Speaker 3:
[17:24] So he shouldn't be complaining.

Speaker 2:
[17:26] Cool.

Speaker 6:
[17:26] But is the team matched up with OKC?

Speaker 3:
[17:30] This is the same team?

Speaker 6:
[17:32] Do Devin Booker have a fucking J- Hungry?

Speaker 2:
[17:35] No?

Speaker 6:
[17:36] Do Devin Booker have a fucking J-Dub?

Speaker 2:
[17:38] No, he doesn't. No.

Speaker 6:
[17:39] Does Devin Booker have a Lou Dort and a Kacen Wallace and any of the-

Speaker 7:
[17:43] He don't have it. So you can't say the team is that-

Speaker 1:
[17:45] But is Devin Booker the number one option on this team? Yeah.

Speaker 2:
[17:49] Is he?

Speaker 6:
[17:49] 28 a game. He should be.

Speaker 8:
[17:51] No, no, is he?

Speaker 2:
[17:51] Yes or no?

Speaker 8:
[17:52] No, yes or no? I mean, you just said he's on the same level as SGA.

Speaker 2:
[17:57] So is he the number one option on this team?

Speaker 3:
[17:59] He should be. He should be.

Speaker 2:
[18:02] Okay.

Speaker 1:
[18:03] I'm saying you got Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks, both taking 23 shots in that game too. Not to say it's a must-win game for Phoenix, but you don't want to go to the same spot.

Speaker 2:
[18:10] He said they're on the same level.

Speaker 6:
[18:11] They're on the same level, man.

Speaker 1:
[18:12] Devin Booker taking 14 shots.

Speaker 3:
[18:14] And that's where they lose.

Speaker 1:
[18:15] And we started playing.

Speaker 3:
[18:16] That's where they lose right there.

Speaker 6:
[18:18] When you got niggas hacking me, I got to pass the ball to them.

Speaker 3:
[18:21] Your superstar takes 14 shots. And your other stars want to be the superstar.

Speaker 6:
[18:26] Hacking me. Hacking me.

Speaker 2:
[18:28] I mean, no.

Speaker 8:
[18:28] I mean, no. It's playoff time.

Speaker 2:
[18:30] Dillon Brooks is having a hell of a year this year. So he's having a career. So he going to shoot the ball.

Speaker 3:
[18:34] They all fighting for who to be the superstar. That's what they're doing.

Speaker 2:
[18:38] No, they're not.

Speaker 8:
[18:39] They're not fighting for the...

Speaker 2:
[18:40] They're just not good.

Speaker 8:
[18:41] Sometimes they're just not good.

Speaker 3:
[18:42] They're not good.

Speaker 8:
[18:43] That's just it. It ain't even about that.

Speaker 7:
[18:46] I'm not making no excuses for them, though.

Speaker 6:
[18:49] I'm saying, I'm just saying, like, out of all the shit that I've just said, they are terrible. They're not that good. They're not good. But it doesn't refer from the fact that they should get a fucking whistle or two during the game.

Speaker 8:
[19:01] They're not even supposed to be here. You're not getting a whistle.

Speaker 6:
[19:04] You gotta give me a whistle.

Speaker 8:
[19:05] No, you're not getting a whistle. You're not even playing hard enough. We play hard.

Speaker 6:
[19:08] They did play hard.

Speaker 8:
[19:09] What are you talking about? You're not playing hard enough.

Speaker 6:
[19:11] They play hard.

Speaker 1:
[19:12] The Suns called for 25 fouls. The Thunder's were called for 21 fouls. I think the free throw was full.

Speaker 3:
[19:17] Yeah, it was.

Speaker 8:
[19:18] OK, so what are we talking about?

Speaker 7:
[19:19] They're just playing harder.

Speaker 6:
[19:20] It's how it looks.

Speaker 8:
[19:21] They're just not good enough this year.

Speaker 6:
[19:24] That's how it looks, man.

Speaker 1:
[19:25] They can have some youth league. They can make the fouls match up.

Speaker 6:
[19:28] What happened in game one? The SGA had what, 15 free throws? They had 15 points on free throws.

Speaker 1:
[19:34] I think nine in this game.

Speaker 2:
[19:35] Stop touching me.

Speaker 3:
[19:37] I'm that good.

Speaker 8:
[19:37] Stop touching me.

Speaker 3:
[19:38] Who team is it? Besides all that, who team is it? Who team is it on Phoenix? Who team is that?

Speaker 8:
[19:44] It's Devin Booker's team.

Speaker 3:
[19:44] It's Devin Booker's team? It's Devin Booker's team?

Speaker 2:
[19:48] Yes, they paid them.

Speaker 8:
[19:50] It's his team.

Speaker 6:
[19:51] It's up in the air.

Speaker 3:
[19:53] So you get rid of Booker after this?

Speaker 6:
[19:55] It's up in the air. I said that after game one. Game one didn't even the play in. Play in didn't look like it was Devin Booker's team no more. That's why he complaining about getting like he's-

Speaker 2:
[20:07] Is he getting doubled?

Speaker 6:
[20:11] He not.

Speaker 2:
[20:12] They playing straight up?

Speaker 6:
[20:13] They playing straight up on them. But they put an extra like they put an extra sauce on it.

Speaker 3:
[20:18] They put an extra sauce on it.

Speaker 2:
[20:20] What's the extra sauce? Is it just a little bit more physical?

Speaker 6:
[20:22] They attention to detail on him. They up on him. They making sure he get the ball up to the other guys. And I still feel like he doing the KD shit. He trying to figure shit out and what y'all doing. And they just playing hard. They scrambling, playing hard. They ain't doing nothing crazy. But when you get hit, you get fouled. You want to get a foul because you're struggling. And I understand that. That's what I'm saying. He's struggling and he's trying to get to the line and get the same fouls he's doing. He's like, man, what the fuck is going on?

Speaker 3:
[20:50] Dillon Brooks guarding.

Speaker 2:
[20:51] And what was the spread last night, man?

Speaker 6:
[20:53] He guarding SGA, I think.

Speaker 3:
[20:56] They both.

Speaker 6:
[20:57] Him and Devin switching off. It was getting cooked.

Speaker 3:
[21:01] Dillon Brooks guarding SGA and he went for 37.

Speaker 6:
[21:05] Cooked juice.

Speaker 2:
[21:06] Listen, I'm going to be honest with you though. If you go into a championship house, bro, you're not getting no calls. Come on, man. You got to really go in there and beat them. That's what I said. They're not going to get any calls.

Speaker 6:
[21:16] When we walk in as the coaching staff, it's 8-on-5. We're not getting no calls. We're not getting no whistles. We got to fight tooth and nail for this win. And so at the end of the game, him making them comments, it makes sense because he knew. They knew they was going to beat them.

Speaker 3:
[21:30] That's weak. So what happens in the own game?

Speaker 1:
[21:32] We're going to jump into those comments in just a second.

Speaker 3:
[21:34] I think that's weak, though, to be a superstar and make comments like that.

Speaker 1:
[21:38] We're going to jump into those comments.

Speaker 6:
[21:40] If you get fouled and they're not calling, it's weak.

Speaker 3:
[21:43] They got four more fouls.

Speaker 7:
[21:45] You got to say something, though.

Speaker 6:
[21:47] You don't got to say nothing?

Speaker 3:
[21:48] 25 to 21.

Speaker 6:
[21:49] So you're not going to say nothing? hacking you and then they making this scene like they stopping you?

Speaker 8:
[21:54] I'm a superstar, bro. He's like, come on. I've been to the finals too, damn it.

Speaker 6:
[21:57] Yeah, bro.

Speaker 3:
[21:59] I'm a superstar, you got 14 shots.

Speaker 1:
[22:01] So we're going to jump into that in just a moment, but let's talk about the thunder real quick. So Jalen Williams left the game with a hamstring injury after the game. Mark Dagnos said Williams aggravated his left hamstring, suffered the injury midway through the third quarter, tried to play through it before eventually leaving the game. So Williams missed extended time earlier this season with the right hamstring injury. Only he missed 49 games total. A bunch to start the season with the wrist injury, recover from wrist surgery, and then hamstring injuries as well. Thunder were 39 and 10 without their robin. So just looking at this series and potentially beyond, how concerning is Jalen Williams hamstring injury for the Thunder moving forward?

Speaker 6:
[22:41] I don't think it's you.

Speaker 2:
[22:42] It's a little concerning.

Speaker 6:
[22:44] AJ Mitchell, he picked up the pieces for them.

Speaker 2:
[22:47] It's still a little concerning though.

Speaker 1:
[22:48] As you get deeper into this whole season now.

Speaker 2:
[22:50] I mean, because this is the guy you did win a championship with. So I know everybody, I know the second unit, everybody can pick up the table, but he still is who he is. But I will take some time off right now because you can definitely get past this series. The next series, they would probably play.

Speaker 3:
[23:07] The Lakers.

Speaker 1:
[23:08] The Los Angeles Lakers.

Speaker 2:
[23:09] Yeah, you know, that's another one.

Speaker 1:
[23:10] A very surging Lakers.

Speaker 2:
[23:11] Yeah, and that's another one. And then you can just.

Speaker 3:
[23:14] You're from LA. You gotta enjoy it.

Speaker 6:
[23:16] It's just gotta be about 40 in the last three games.

Speaker 3:
[23:20] Who you mean? We gotta enjoy the wins, bro. We don't get that many of them in the playoffs.

Speaker 1:
[23:26] The Thunder have not seen this new and improved Lakers.

Speaker 8:
[23:28] The Thunder have not seen this new and improved Lakers. Just like we just said yesterday, when Luka come back, all that ball movement shit gonna stop.

Speaker 2:
[23:34] So like I said, he could take his time off right now.

Speaker 3:
[23:37] I forgot. We don't know when Luka's coming back. You're in the LA native no more. You're in the LA native no more. You're in the LA native no more. It's just Valley. That's all.

Speaker 2:
[23:47] You from the Valley?

Speaker 3:
[23:48] No, no. I'm in LA, then Valley. I'm all over. I'm California.

Speaker 1:
[23:52] You're in California? That's a hoax.

Speaker 3:
[23:54] Yeah. I won a championship in the Bay. I played for a little bit. I'm everything in this town.

Speaker 6:
[23:58] Echo Park.

Speaker 1:
[23:59] Fresno as well.

Speaker 6:
[24:00] Echo Park.

Speaker 1:
[24:01] Bakersfield.

Speaker 3:
[24:02] Yeah. Echo Park.

Speaker 1:
[24:03] Swaggy, I will say that Latinos do love you.

Speaker 3:
[24:05] Okay. 18th Street, all that.

Speaker 1:
[24:07] I mean, okay. In La Barrio.

Speaker 6:
[24:10] J-Dub, man, I don't know, man. I don't think, I think this is just a season where they just figured out how to do it without him.

Speaker 1:
[24:16] Well, I mean, they had plenty of, I mean, that 24-1 stretch largely without J-Dub involved in that. I mean, I think they've shown that they're capable of winning without him.

Speaker 6:
[24:25] Anything he came back and shit up and gave the Spurs confidence to play against them and win against them with him on the floor, which gave them like, yeah, we had their best team.

Speaker 3:
[24:36] They had, they gave their guys together.

Speaker 6:
[24:37] We whooped their ass. But like, you know, his excuse would be he wasn't full strength. He was trying to get his shit together. I would say up until last night, he had his shit together, right? Yeah.

Speaker 3:
[24:47] It looked good.

Speaker 6:
[24:48] He looked solid in the first half. Perfect. So I think, you know, AJ Mitchell, he, you know, wiped them cobwebs out, get back out there and get to doing what he was doing before.

Speaker 3:
[24:57] But to B's point, he can rest low-key to the Western Conference Finals, for sure. Or play a game or two towards the end of that Lakers series. I don't know. I don't think they need.

Speaker 2:
[25:11] Oh, they're going to go.

Speaker 3:
[25:11] They don't need J.Dubb for the first and second round right now. They need him to be full strength to go against.

Speaker 2:
[25:20] Boston.

Speaker 6:
[25:21] Third round. Who's third round?

Speaker 1:
[25:23] Who's the third round?

Speaker 6:
[25:24] Who's the third round?

Speaker 2:
[25:26] Oh, the third round is going to be between. The third round is going to be between whoever went out of Denver and Minnesota.

Speaker 1:
[25:33] Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2:
[25:35] So, that's who OKC is going to see in the.

Speaker 1:
[25:37] They're not going to see the Spurs?

Speaker 2:
[25:38] No, no, no. Listen, OKC is going to see either the Denver Nuggets or the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Speaker 3:
[25:45] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[25:45] OK.

Speaker 2:
[25:46] In the Western Conference Finals.

Speaker 1:
[25:47] The 360 right now. They show. The San Antonio Spurs.

Speaker 3:
[25:50] The Younglings show.

Speaker 1:
[25:51] In the second seed.

Speaker 2:
[25:52] So.

Speaker 1:
[25:52] They could potentially make that Western Conference Finals.

Speaker 2:
[25:54] Just letting you know.

Speaker 3:
[25:56] When you play the Lakers, you really ain't got. I don't know how long that could last for against the Thunder. History shows that if you lose by the four.

Speaker 8:
[26:05] He wore this shirt today.

Speaker 3:
[26:06] Against them.

Speaker 1:
[26:07] Not against this new Lakers.

Speaker 3:
[26:08] It breaks the winning.

Speaker 7:
[26:09] Braun didn't play in the last game.

Speaker 8:
[26:10] Did he just say Braun had that team?

Speaker 6:
[26:12] You just fought and now you just give it in.

Speaker 3:
[26:13] Like we could make a pass on. I'm saying what history shows that against the Lakers, they beat them.

Speaker 1:
[26:22] The Thunder have not played this new and improved Lakers, Swaggy. Lakers were out there, their current number one option for the last meeting.

Speaker 3:
[26:31] They playing free now, you know? Luke. Luke Canard.

Speaker 1:
[26:35] Luca?

Speaker 3:
[26:36] Vax, no, no, he is. That's our Luke. AR. Luke. Mark is smart. Mark is smart.

Speaker 6:
[26:46] You don't got no extra Bs, just going to work.

Speaker 3:
[26:49] It is smart. Open third eye more. Yeah, that's the new Mark is smart. Mark is smart.

Speaker 1:
[27:00] Got to do. All right. Well, I got to say Thunder 39 and 10 without Jdub this season. So comfortable winning without him may become an issue later this postseason. But let's get back to our Devin Booker conversation. So Devin Booker was involved in a questionable moment in the game. Let's take a look at the video if we can, please. As Book tried to save a ball going out of bounds, he threw it behind his back, ended up hitting Thunder big man Jalen Williams. Wasn't even looking at him. In the immediate aftermath, Alex Caruso could be seen lobbying the officials to call a tech. After a brief discussion by the refs, Booker was looking for a tech by official James Williams, who's also known as Gucci ref for his strong resemblance to Gucci Mane.

Speaker 3:
[27:41] No way that was a tech. Huh? That was a tech?

Speaker 6:
[27:44] That was a tech, bro.

Speaker 3:
[27:45] Wait, wait, wait, what was a tech, bro?

Speaker 6:
[27:46] Why you think I was just saying all that shit for nothing?

Speaker 4:
[27:48] You're out there bullshitting.

Speaker 3:
[27:50] Did he push somebody on the bench?

Speaker 6:
[27:51] They pushed him out of bounds. Look, he out of bounds, threw the ball, tried to save the ball.

Speaker 1:
[27:55] Was not looking at Jalen Williams. He threw the ball, had no idea where the ball was going to go.

Speaker 4:
[27:58] Watch out, hey.

Speaker 1:
[27:59] Was merely just trying to save the ball before going out of bounds. Officials convened, Gucci ref as he's known.

Speaker 2:
[28:05] I can't fuck with that.

Speaker 6:
[28:06] Would that not piss you off, bro, for a tech?

Speaker 2:
[28:11] And then they called the office of foul on him.

Speaker 6:
[28:12] On him, like almost the next play. Or the play before.

Speaker 3:
[28:15] What point was that?

Speaker 1:
[28:18] What was that?

Speaker 2:
[28:18] Second half. I think second half.

Speaker 1:
[28:20] So after the game, D. Booker.

Speaker 3:
[28:21] It was 93-75.

Speaker 1:
[28:23] It was a close game at that point. After the game, D. Booker.

Speaker 3:
[28:24] It was close.

Speaker 1:
[28:25] It was close.

Speaker 3:
[28:26] 93-75 was close. No, it wasn't.

Speaker 1:
[28:29] Close enough. Within striking dissonance, after the game, D. Booker had this to say about the tech and what he perceived to be favorable officiating in general for the Thunder.

Speaker 10:
[28:39] It's definitely something that has to be looked into. I heard Caruso tell him to call the tech and you know, he ended up doing it. So that's one ref. For my 11 years, I haven't called a ref by name, but James was terrible tonight through and through. It's bad for the sport, bad for the integrity of the sport. You know, people are going to start viewing this as a WWE, you know, if they're not held responsible. You know, I know I haven't won a championship in this league, but I have been in it for 11 years now. So to get to this point, to be treated like that, for me to even be saying something out loud, it's bad.

Speaker 11:
[29:23] Have you ever done something, I mean, have you ever, I don't think I can recall you talking to the, about the officials.

Speaker 10:
[29:28] Yeah, so this is my first time in 11 years, but it's needed. Like I said, whatever I get fined for, everybody can pull the clips and see where the frustration comes from.

Speaker 1:
[29:42] That's first time in 11 years?

Speaker 3:
[29:44] Yeah, you gotta give him more respect than that, bro.

Speaker 1:
[29:48] Do you guys understand Devin Booker's frustration with his tech and the overall officiating Game 2 shot? You alluded to this before.

Speaker 3:
[29:53] I like Devin Booker's style, though. I like his shit.

Speaker 6:
[30:00] Was he right?

Speaker 3:
[30:01] Yeah, he's definitely right. That tech was crazy.

Speaker 6:
[30:05] That's how the game went.

Speaker 3:
[30:07] And he's an All-Star, too.

Speaker 6:
[30:08] That's how the game went. Think about them 14 shots he was just complaining about. I'm out there trying to get my shit off, and I can't even. James, you ain't giving me nothing out here? What's going on?

Speaker 3:
[30:18] That was a foul? They call a foul, too, on that?

Speaker 1:
[30:22] We want Jalen Williams out. You tried to save it. But Caruso lobbies for the Tech. The refs convene. Gucci ref comes in, gives Devin Booker the Tech on the play. It's not like the game was in hand at that point anyway, but I think it's building frustration.

Speaker 2:
[30:38] Yeah, it's just a slap in the face, too.

Speaker 6:
[30:40] The same ref that's wearing the SGA sneakers, though.

Speaker 3:
[30:44] But they do look like a ref.

Speaker 2:
[30:45] Oh, he wearing the SGA sneakers on this? Wait, last night?

Speaker 6:
[30:48] He has the ones that you can't even order online.

Speaker 3:
[30:52] He got all black.

Speaker 6:
[30:53] He got the ones you can't even order online.

Speaker 3:
[30:55] Man, them shit do look like referee shoes, the all black ones.

Speaker 6:
[30:57] They leather, too.

Speaker 2:
[31:00] I don't care.

Speaker 3:
[31:00] You can't wear no... Man, yes, you can. No, you can't.

Speaker 8:
[31:04] They got special referee shoes. All the black shoes Michael Jordan was making.

Speaker 7:
[31:08] You ain't see no referee.

Speaker 8:
[31:10] You ain't see no NBA ref ever wear no Michael Jordan.

Speaker 6:
[31:13] Never. It wasn't allowed.

Speaker 7:
[31:15] Never.

Speaker 8:
[31:16] No, never. They had the new balances on them.

Speaker 7:
[31:19] They had the fucking orthopedic shoes with the Velcro joints.

Speaker 6:
[31:22] They got soft shoes.

Speaker 7:
[31:25] For sure.

Speaker 8:
[31:26] They had the Ross. They had the Ross.

Speaker 7:
[31:28] You be like, where y'all get them? Them shit's insane.

Speaker 8:
[31:30] They had the big K. They had the Walmart. Stop playing.

Speaker 7:
[31:33] I could be cool too. Not with his shoe?

Speaker 8:
[31:40] Not while I'm reffing?

Speaker 3:
[31:41] No.

Speaker 8:
[31:42] And he out there too?

Speaker 9:
[31:42] They're all black.

Speaker 8:
[31:44] Nah.

Speaker 3:
[31:44] You know what, they ain't got no sign on it, it's just a black shoe over there.

Speaker 6:
[31:47] It's converse. They don't got no sign on it.

Speaker 7:
[31:49] They don't got no sign, it's just converse.

Speaker 8:
[31:52] The NBA needs to make some NBA ref shoes, just all black with the NBA logo on it.

Speaker 6:
[31:55] James needs to just go on here and stop the bullshit. James out there bullshit.

Speaker 3:
[31:59] James?

Speaker 6:
[31:59] James out there bullshit. James Williams, the ref, Gucci, Gucci.

Speaker 3:
[32:03] Gucci? Did you think Gucci called the police or somebody? Same shit.

Speaker 6:
[32:07] Listen, they called the police on him this time.

Speaker 3:
[32:10] Man.

Speaker 6:
[32:10] Lady James, come here, come on outside, put your hands up, we got you.

Speaker 2:
[32:14] He probably told SGA, man, your shoes are so comfortable.

Speaker 3:
[32:16] If you give me another pair, the Ross Dress for Less clearance rack. Send me a box, I guarantee you get to the phone.

Speaker 7:
[32:24] Guaranteed, guaranteed.

Speaker 1:
[32:26] Dress for Less ref shoes. Briefly, as an aside, Ross Dress for Less clearance rack.

Speaker 2:
[32:31] I'm going to make some tough crowd NBA ref shoes.

Speaker 3:
[32:34] Those are the all-black ones.

Speaker 6:
[32:36] They got their own section. They got their own section now. The shoe section. Go over there and find your small blacks.

Speaker 3:
[32:43] But Devin Booker definitely deserves more respect than that right there. That was crazy.

Speaker 2:
[32:49] I don't think he should be fine either.

Speaker 3:
[32:51] At all. Or that was bullshit.

Speaker 1:
[32:52] We're going to cut a check.

Speaker 6:
[32:54] He's going to cut a check.

Speaker 3:
[32:55] That is bullshit.

Speaker 2:
[32:56] I don't think he should be fine for that. Because that offensive foul, then SGA came down, he did the same thing, got the call. Yeah, like, it was, I mean, I do agree with that.

Speaker 6:
[33:07] It's frustrating.

Speaker 2:
[33:08] I mean, listen, we know they're going to whip our ass, but goddamn.

Speaker 6:
[33:12] Give me a fight.

Speaker 8:
[33:13] Like, you could give me a couple.

Speaker 2:
[33:14] Man, what's the spread?

Speaker 6:
[33:16] For sure. And they covered that bitch too.

Speaker 7:
[33:21] They covered that bitch too.

Speaker 3:
[33:22] He had to have said something. No, like goddamn. Like, something.

Speaker 6:
[33:27] Got to whip our ass real fast, all the time. Especially if you're watching the game in that moment, you just, you see it, like, he just go out of bounds, throw the ball, and then they call the tech. Then you see James not even trying to talk to him or nothing. Like, yeah, Caruso told him to give him a tech. Are you serious?

Speaker 8:
[33:43] Yeah, like, what?

Speaker 3:
[33:44] I don't believe that. That's not.

Speaker 8:
[33:45] Like, you had tennis ball head.

Speaker 3:
[33:48] You're not listening to Caruso at all, people.

Speaker 2:
[33:50] Oh, man.

Speaker 3:
[33:51] They're not listening to Caruso.

Speaker 2:
[33:52] He did.

Speaker 8:
[33:53] He did, though. He gave him a tech for that.

Speaker 3:
[33:54] He's got a championship experience. I feel he's a champion like me, I understand. But you're not listening to.

Speaker 1:
[34:00] Was on the trajectory to be the greatest Laker of all time, but things happen now. He's an OKC. Bringing that championship experience there. Two times champion.

Speaker 3:
[34:08] One in multiple Lakers, one in. I get it.

Speaker 1:
[34:11] It's hard.

Speaker 3:
[34:12] But you don't listen to him. Ain't no ref listening to a player to tell him to give him a tech.

Speaker 8:
[34:16] We just saw it. We just saw it. We just saw it.

Speaker 3:
[34:19] I just saw it. I think Caruso, half ball, half here on the side. Just bending over. I just see him talking to the crowd.

Speaker 1:
[34:26] Can we watch the clip again one more time?

Speaker 3:
[34:27] Look, look.

Speaker 2:
[34:27] Look at him.

Speaker 3:
[34:28] Look at him.

Speaker 2:
[34:29] Look.

Speaker 11:
[34:37] Will, but.

Speaker 1:
[34:39] So, a minute after Matt Caruso will be saying, he's throwing up the tech sign.

Speaker 3:
[34:43] See, all you see is the half ball, half.

Speaker 4:
[34:48] I'm Williams and Booker.

Speaker 3:
[34:49] He look confused, too.

Speaker 6:
[34:52] He look like a boy.

Speaker 3:
[34:53] He look like a boy.

Speaker 1:
[34:54] He didn't see shit because he was doing shit.

Speaker 6:
[34:56] Hey, Cruz a lot. He work at HR. He did it on the slick. That did it under his breath. Give him a take. You know you're on payroll, James. Don't you fuck it up. Checks in the mail. Don't you fuck it up.

Speaker 1:
[35:12] So Booker, not the only one taking some issues and frustration with how the Thunder officiated, specifically SGA as well. So Dillon Brooks, back to his old ways, leading up to and in this series. So after the Suns beat the Warriors to advance to face the Thunder in the first round, Brooks had this to say about the defending champs. There are a lot of foul-baters on that team. No, not yet. Not yet. There are a lot of foul-baters on that team. We got to show our hands. I hope it's the real playoff. Show your hands. Brooks continued his trolling before the start of game one, refusing to let Chet Holmgren touch the ball before the opening tip, then got called for a flagrant one after hitting Chet in the face. Brooks had several moments in game two, including a back and forth with the reigning MVP. Let's take a look at some of those moments if we can. Okay, so Brooks blocked SGA's shot.

Speaker 3:
[36:00] That ain't a foul.

Speaker 1:
[36:01] He had something to say. We'll see the replay.

Speaker 3:
[36:04] That's a foul though.

Speaker 1:
[36:05] Blocked the shot.

Speaker 7:
[36:05] That's not a foul. That's not a foul.

Speaker 3:
[36:07] That's a foul, bro. That's a foul.

Speaker 1:
[36:09] Moments later, Shai got his give back, hitting a jumper over Brooks, and then appearing to give him the middle finger.

Speaker 3:
[36:17] Yeah, they didn't give him no middle finger. He pointed at him.

Speaker 1:
[36:22] In the Pops, man. Brooks was also whistled for a double tack after getting into it with fellow Canadian. Lou Dors, a lot of Canadian beef going on right now. Picked up his fifth foul for bumping in the extra.

Speaker 3:
[36:33] That's dumb. Look, that's a flop.

Speaker 6:
[36:35] Look. Look at this.

Speaker 3:
[36:36] He humped them.

Speaker 5:
[36:37] He humped them.

Speaker 3:
[36:38] Man, he humped them.

Speaker 6:
[36:39] You a grown ass man. What you flopping for?

Speaker 3:
[36:41] Don't try to put your meat on me, bro. Don't try to hump me in front of all these people.

Speaker 1:
[36:47] Put the meat on.

Speaker 3:
[36:48] You've seen the...

Speaker 8:
[36:49] All part of the rollout.

Speaker 1:
[36:53] So Book picked up his fifth foul for Bum and SGA. He had to say, Rainey MVP was flopping. Nah, son. You can't put your meat... No.

Speaker 3:
[37:01] No meat to meat. And you like pushed your meat into my... Bro. Get out of here. You don't deserve to be on the court doing this. Push your meat into...

Speaker 6:
[37:11] You too comfortable just saying it though. You should just slow down.

Speaker 7:
[37:16] You just saying it too fast like it's cool, like meat to meat. Calm down.

Speaker 6:
[37:21] It's like you enjoy talking about this type of shit.

Speaker 3:
[37:24] I love it.

Speaker 6:
[37:24] I can't wait to talk about the meat to meat.

Speaker 1:
[37:28] Yeah.

Speaker 6:
[37:29] That's how I play defense.

Speaker 1:
[37:30] You heard it?

Speaker 3:
[37:31] That's what I just said. I love it.

Speaker 1:
[37:34] Hey.

Speaker 3:
[37:37] I think I'm gonna push the meat.

Speaker 7:
[37:38] It's the meat.

Speaker 1:
[37:39] He want to do the Arby commercial so bad.

Speaker 6:
[37:41] Look.

Speaker 3:
[37:42] We have the meat. That's what he...

Speaker 6:
[37:45] He wants that part so bad.

Speaker 1:
[37:48] me, man.

Speaker 2:
[37:50] No, that's a good... Arby's worth about $12 billion.

Speaker 3:
[37:53] I ain't only seen one in my lifetime.

Speaker 1:
[37:55] Do you know anybody who eats at Arby's?

Speaker 2:
[37:57] No, but Swaggy can be the person.

Speaker 3:
[37:59] Arby's.

Speaker 2:
[37:59] Hey, listen. Right here, commercial.

Speaker 8:
[38:00] He got the whole family. Arby's.

Speaker 2:
[38:04] What?

Speaker 7:
[38:04] They got $12 billion. Shit.

Speaker 3:
[38:06] Just talking about meat.

Speaker 6:
[38:09] You don't want your sons on the meat section.

Speaker 7:
[38:11] There's a lot like that.

Speaker 5:
[38:12] We got the meat.

Speaker 3:
[38:13] With the meat.

Speaker 7:
[38:14] Stop, man.

Speaker 3:
[38:15] Yeah. Just a bowl of meat right there.

Speaker 7:
[38:18] Oh, no.

Speaker 3:
[38:19] A bowl of meat.

Speaker 6:
[38:20] Seafood. We want fish.

Speaker 7:
[38:22] Fish, not meat.

Speaker 8:
[38:23] Arby's like NBA champion.

Speaker 7:
[38:25] Get you a bowl of meat.

Speaker 3:
[38:26] Yeah. Come here, Come to Arby's. I want some meat.

Speaker 6:
[38:34] What happened to Long John Silver?

Speaker 1:
[38:36] Goddamn shit.

Speaker 4:
[38:40] What the happened to Long John Silver?

Speaker 7:
[38:42] Now we want to eat meat and shit. That's another Paul's.

Speaker 3:
[38:51] They took a lot. Long John.

Speaker 6:
[38:54] They went out of business.

Speaker 3:
[38:55] Long John.

Speaker 6:
[38:56] We're not a business, we can start wearing purses and shit.

Speaker 7:
[38:58] They say, we need Long John Silver no more, we don't need this shit no more.

Speaker 3:
[39:01] The Long Johnson.

Speaker 1:
[39:02] No Long Johnson.

Speaker 3:
[39:04] No Long.

Speaker 1:
[39:04] No Arby's.

Speaker 6:
[39:06] Long Johnson.

Speaker 3:
[39:07] Yeah.

Speaker 6:
[39:08] Stop, man.

Speaker 1:
[39:09] Long Johnson here on this couch.

Speaker 3:
[39:11] Stop, man. The Long Johnson and all that. We had the meat commercial, that would be classic.

Speaker 7:
[39:19] No, it's not, it's not classic.

Speaker 3:
[39:20] Long Johnson.

Speaker 7:
[39:21] Long Johnson.

Speaker 3:
[39:22] We had the meat commercial.

Speaker 8:
[39:23] All of them doing the Arby's commercial?

Speaker 3:
[39:25] If they collab, you know how they be having like the Taco Bell with the Pizza Hut.

Speaker 6:
[39:29] Uh-huh.

Speaker 8:
[39:30] Back in the day, yeah.

Speaker 4:
[39:31] Yeah, they be collabing.

Speaker 6:
[39:34] Long John meats.

Speaker 2:
[39:35] Long John meats. Arby meats.

Speaker 8:
[39:38] Arby meats.

Speaker 6:
[39:39] That's a nasty combination, man. Going in there and getting some fish and some goddamn Arby's at the same time.

Speaker 3:
[39:46] They had a Chitlin burger, I mean, sandwich at Arby's. A Chitlin.

Speaker 6:
[39:50] You lying.

Speaker 3:
[39:51] I promise you. It's a new thing. I'm not even allowed.

Speaker 10:
[39:54] We don't even know what Chitlin is.

Speaker 3:
[39:56] A Chitlin sandwich at Arby's.

Speaker 2:
[39:57] A Chitlin sandwich at Arby's?

Speaker 3:
[39:59] Wow.

Speaker 6:
[40:00] Now, you're not even supposed to be cooking Chitlins.

Speaker 1:
[40:02] I'm not sure how we got here, ladies and gentlemen, but here we are.

Speaker 3:
[40:06] That's a good thing for the kids, though.

Speaker 1:
[40:08] We show some of those Dillon Brooks clips. Obviously, getting to SJ., he picked up his fifth foul, hitting him with too much meat at Swaggy's.

Speaker 3:
[40:14] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[40:16] But thought it was a flop.

Speaker 6:
[40:16] You doing the same thing.

Speaker 3:
[40:17] One more time.

Speaker 1:
[40:19] No, look how he puts things.

Speaker 3:
[40:20] Show him one more time, y'all.

Speaker 1:
[40:22] Let's show all of it again. Let's show all of it. Nice exchange. Goddamn.

Speaker 5:
[40:27] Foul.

Speaker 3:
[40:28] Hit my arm. Foul.

Speaker 1:
[40:30] Clean play.

Speaker 3:
[40:30] Watch the hit. That's the arm right there. That's a flail. He played my arm twist.

Speaker 6:
[40:35] Nah.

Speaker 1:
[40:37] Brooks has something to say to his fellow countrymen.

Speaker 6:
[40:38] There was no foul right there.

Speaker 3:
[40:40] Yeah, pull up.

Speaker 1:
[40:41] That's a nice fade away.

Speaker 3:
[40:43] You jumped too late.

Speaker 1:
[40:43] Over dealing the villain. It was close to a middle finger, Swaggy.

Speaker 3:
[40:47] Nah, it was big.

Speaker 1:
[40:48] He had the ET finger out, but then he gave him the pop to me. Then we got the double-check here between the head and the head.

Speaker 6:
[40:53] Watch out, musty man. Come on, musty man. You know he musty.

Speaker 3:
[40:57] Look at this.

Speaker 1:
[40:58] Lay in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 6:
[40:59] Get out of here with that.

Speaker 1:
[41:01] The sun's trying to make it.

Speaker 3:
[41:02] Look at this.

Speaker 1:
[41:02] Look at this.

Speaker 3:
[41:02] Look at him. Come on, man. Look, look. He's trying to huff one, bro. That's crazy. Look. Look at that. Nah, bro. That's sick.

Speaker 4:
[41:15] Oh, no, Dillon. Oh, no, man.

Speaker 8:
[41:17] I can't.

Speaker 3:
[41:19] Who thinks to do that?

Speaker 6:
[41:21] I'm trying. I'm trying to represent you in the court of law. But this is tough. So making it tough for me. That's clear. That's evident. That's the evidence, your honor. Listen, can we go to recess, please?

Speaker 1:
[41:36] So after the game, Brooks went in on the officiating and SGA also gave his response.

Speaker 9:
[41:41] A little frail. That's what the rest of the folks say. Be smarter about it. But, you know, this is playoffs, a man's game. Like I used to watch this back when Michael Jordan was playing or whoever else from the Ron was younger. Like this is physical basketball. Like I don't get why all the dropping and falling and the flopping and flaring and all this stuff is allowed. We get to play. I was like, let that be that for the season. Like for the fans, this is about who's the better team, who's the more witty team. Like don't decide the games are no free throws. Like, I mean, I got to look back at it and see if they're really fouls. But all I know is when I be watching, when I was out with playoffs or I'm in the playoffs or I'd be watching from before I was in the NBA, it's straight physical. It's straight, low scoring, physical basketball. You got to sport a basketball to win or get stops to win. Not this fairly and going to the line and stop each of play. Like, got to fix that. I don't know. I can't control what Dillon or anybody else on the other side is going to complain about. All I can do is try to go out there and win basketball games for my team. But yeah, I mean, Dillon's doing what he's supposed to do. He's supposed to bring energy to the game, rile up the game. And once again, he did a good job of bringing energy to the game tonight. It was super fun out there. I love playing against him.

Speaker 3:
[43:18] See, man, that boy watched some Kobe, bro. Shai watched some Kobe, bro. Nah, he not. His interviews are perfect, bro.

Speaker 2:
[43:26] Dillon Brooks looked like he the worst lawyer ever.

Speaker 3:
[43:27] Oh my God. Yeah. He got a...

Speaker 2:
[43:29] That suit looked like he ain't got nobody off yet.

Speaker 6:
[43:31] It looked like Reverend... If you know who Reverend X is, you gotta pull up Reverend X. You gotta fix that tie.

Speaker 1:
[43:41] When you hear what Brooks is saying, though...

Speaker 3:
[43:46] I hear what he's saying, but he did... Nobody back in the day to hump somebody on the court. So let's get that out the way. You can't do stuff like that and think it is cool and the rest are not gonna qualify. I love, like Shai said, he does what he's supposed to do. It made the game fun, too, but at the end of the day, you can't complain when you get called for the stuff you do. If you running into somebody and then you put your pelvis all in them, what you expect? You can't put your pelvis on me.

Speaker 2:
[44:24] I think he could take some of the antics out. Yeah. Because he's having such a good year, like career wise. But I think if he takes some of the little antics out and some of the dumb things that he do, it will benefit him more. I mean, I'm not saying like, you know, I mean, you know, that's part of his game, though, of what he does. But just cut some of the things out, especially in crucial moments of the time or even when you're just balling, just to keep yourself in a good rhythm. So that's just how I look at it.

Speaker 6:
[44:52] If it wasn't a constant complaint around the league, the SGA does the shit that he's doing to get these calls, I would be, I feel the same way.

Speaker 2:
[45:00] You got to guard better.

Speaker 6:
[45:01] But he's been notorious for the shit.

Speaker 3:
[45:05] But why is it just him and he's not the leading free throw?

Speaker 6:
[45:09] He ain't got nothing to do with leading. No it don't. Because there's other players that do it more to him. I'm not saying he's the only one. But all I hear is J.

Speaker 3:
[45:16] I don't hear Lucas.

Speaker 6:
[45:16] Because he's the best at it.

Speaker 3:
[45:18] You can't be the best if you're not number one at it.

Speaker 6:
[45:21] Yeah you can.

Speaker 3:
[45:22] Like Lucas number one.

Speaker 6:
[45:23] Yeah but they number three in the league. So why are you complaining about number three because the number one team don't need to do too much of it. I just need to do it when I'm not hitting my shots or if I got a good defender on my side.

Speaker 8:
[45:37] Don't try to tell me how to play.

Speaker 6:
[45:39] Lucas, Jalen Brunson, Joel Embiid, Joker.

Speaker 7:
[45:45] It's about five of them.

Speaker 6:
[45:46] It's about five of them that do it.

Speaker 3:
[45:48] All I hear is Shai does it.

Speaker 6:
[45:49] He does it the best.

Speaker 8:
[45:50] And that's what they don't like but they want to do something else. Why?

Speaker 2:
[45:53] It's working. Why would I do something else?

Speaker 3:
[45:54] I'm not number one.

Speaker 2:
[45:55] I'm not changing my game.

Speaker 8:
[45:57] No, stop me.

Speaker 3:
[45:58] All he did was get buckets yesterday.

Speaker 2:
[46:00] Stop me first.

Speaker 6:
[46:01] Play basketball.

Speaker 8:
[46:02] Stop me first.

Speaker 2:
[46:02] Stop me.

Speaker 8:
[46:03] Then maybe I can change something. But until then, I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing until you stop me.

Speaker 3:
[46:08] People are hating because they're number one and they're unstoppable. That's why he did that. I don't think people hate me. Because he's not leading in free throws.

Speaker 6:
[46:15] Because sometimes you don't need to do the shit you be out there doing. Just who?

Speaker 3:
[46:19] Yes, I do.

Speaker 4:
[46:19] Just shoot that shit.

Speaker 7:
[46:20] Shoot it regular.

Speaker 3:
[46:22] But I'm not number one.

Speaker 6:
[46:23] It don't matter. You can shoot the ball regular.

Speaker 3:
[46:25] It's nobody else that does this more than me, obviously.

Speaker 6:
[46:27] You can shoot the ball regular.

Speaker 8:
[46:29] It's so crazy that people don't like free throws and they free. Like the fact that that's the freest shot you can get with nobody bothering you.

Speaker 2:
[46:35] And you mad because people are figuring out a way to get to that goddamn line. Stop filing.

Speaker 8:
[46:39] It's called a free throw for a reason. I'm going to get to the easiest shot, the most high percentage shot with nobody around me. And I'm going to shoot that shot. Too bad that you keep filing me. But I'm going to sit right here at this free throw. That's why it's called free throw. They're free.

Speaker 6:
[46:51] You remember the movie where the drug dealer nigger got the cops on payroll?

Speaker 1:
[46:56] I've seen several movies.

Speaker 6:
[46:57] Several. Yeah, this is it. They're the new emerging dealers on the block. They got the on payroll. So when the cops pull up, it's like, hey, ain't y'all going to arrest them?

Speaker 8:
[47:07] So you hate it when James did it? You hate it when James was doing it?

Speaker 3:
[47:10] KD did it.

Speaker 6:
[47:11] They all, hey, listen, we all complained.

Speaker 8:
[47:13] No, no, I'm asking.

Speaker 6:
[47:13] We all complained.

Speaker 2:
[47:14] I'm asking.

Speaker 6:
[47:15] It was an advantage.

Speaker 2:
[47:16] It was a advantage?

Speaker 6:
[47:17] It was an advantage.

Speaker 8:
[47:17] He didn't win doing it. He created an advantage. No, no, no, I'm not. No, that's not it.

Speaker 2:
[47:22] I'm just saying him being able to be able to do this, it didn't change the fact that, you know, he still got.

Speaker 6:
[47:27] It took his points per game up.

Speaker 2:
[47:29] Okay.

Speaker 6:
[47:29] That was the point.

Speaker 2:
[47:31] It took his points per game.

Speaker 6:
[47:32] Yeah.

Speaker 2:
[47:32] This right here, I'm finding.

Speaker 6:
[47:33] I'm etching the record books based on my points per game and me getting to the free throw line 10, 11 times a game.

Speaker 2:
[47:40] I'm finding a way to get into the bonus early so my teammates can shoot free throws. What's wrong with that? Like, that's part of the game.

Speaker 6:
[47:45] Just find a way.

Speaker 3:
[47:46] I've seen the clips of Arrel saying, but I believe you, Mike. But I believe you. You didn't see that? But I believe you, Mike. Nobody complained about Michael Jordan.

Speaker 6:
[47:54] Because Mike go out his way to get those calls.

Speaker 2:
[47:57] How do you know that?

Speaker 8:
[47:58] He's the most gambling.

Speaker 7:
[47:59] You crazy as hell.

Speaker 8:
[48:00] You're crazy as hell.

Speaker 7:
[48:01] You watch the story.

Speaker 3:
[48:03] He complained about the story.

Speaker 6:
[48:04] Because the is knocking his head off.

Speaker 3:
[48:06] Stop, man.

Speaker 7:
[48:07] What you mean? When you get your ass knocked down like that, I need you to come in and change some shit because this shit hurts. You're not getting hit like this.

Speaker 8:
[48:16] How about you get stronger? How about you get stronger?

Speaker 7:
[48:20] You're not getting hit like this.

Speaker 3:
[48:23] Michael Jordan still mad at somebody for not shaking his hand over 40 years ago.

Speaker 8:
[48:27] Yeah.

Speaker 3:
[48:28] Kick them off the Olympic team. Like you can't tell me his mindset was, he was a tough man.

Speaker 6:
[48:33] Because y'all were beating my ass for four years.

Speaker 8:
[48:36] What do you mean? We're playing basketball.

Speaker 6:
[48:38] No, you were not.

Speaker 8:
[48:38] We're playing basketball.

Speaker 6:
[48:39] You were playing hockey.

Speaker 8:
[48:41] What were we known as? The bad boys. Okay, that's how we play.

Speaker 6:
[48:45] And now you're the good boys. I went and told on y'all. Hey, man, come on. Yes. Fuck, it's just me over here. Scotty wasn't Scotty yet.

Speaker 8:
[48:54] Yes, growing to that.

Speaker 6:
[48:56] Hey, listen, David, come in here and tell them to calm down. They jumping me.

Speaker 8:
[49:01] The next year, y'all got Phil Jackson.

Speaker 6:
[49:04] SGA is out there.

Speaker 8:
[49:06] Y'all got Phil Jackson. Come on, man, y'all got Phil Jackson. That's all y'all need.

Speaker 1:
[49:08] Yeah, but this seems like obviously a growing trend around the league. A lot of people have had some inflammatory things to say about the Thunder, about SGA. You guys like getting buckets, though. Brandon, like you mentioned, free throws are free, part of the game. Why does he get knocks so much for his ability to draw fouls? And even somebody like Devin Booker to complain, or Dillon Brooks to complain about it.

Speaker 2:
[49:27] Because the defender ain't doing his job in the summertime. Go watch him. I don't know. But the offensive players are just smarter.

Speaker 6:
[49:34] If it was just fans complaining, it would be one thing. But when there are players like Jalen Brown, Devin Booker, guys that are like, hey man, if I was to do what he doing, or all of us would change our beat and say, let's now start doing what SGA doing, the referees in the league would have to change the way they call in the game.

Speaker 7:
[49:55] This is a confidential league.

Speaker 6:
[49:56] They don't like playing like that.

Speaker 8:
[49:58] Guys don't like playing like that. That is, this is...

Speaker 3:
[50:00] I wish I could... Y'all know exactly what it is.

Speaker 6:
[50:05] You go to the fucking... You go play hoop and you got one nigger that ain't... Say he ain't even in the league, never been in the league.

Speaker 7:
[50:11] And he's calling every fucking call.

Speaker 3:
[50:14] It's a foul, bro.

Speaker 7:
[50:16] No, it ain't a...

Speaker 6:
[50:17] No, this is a nigger that you know you ain't never been at this level where we at. We sitting here trying to figure out why he calling every call.

Speaker 2:
[50:23] But are you fouling, though?

Speaker 7:
[50:25] No, we not fouling.

Speaker 6:
[50:26] No, we not fouling. He's calling back to back foul.

Speaker 8:
[50:28] Okay, and we not giving it to him.

Speaker 6:
[50:29] And we like, yo, we not giving it to him, right?

Speaker 8:
[50:32] I'm not, yeah. This is how they feel.

Speaker 6:
[50:35] This is how they feeling. They like, yo, come on, man, that's not a foul. Like, remember, if I foul you for real, I'm gonna check up. Hey, I got you.

Speaker 7:
[50:43] No, no, that's me. It's respect. Yes, it's respect.

Speaker 6:
[50:46] Some not.

Speaker 7:
[50:47] Some not.

Speaker 6:
[50:48] But listen.

Speaker 7:
[50:49] Not for game, you know? No, not for game.

Speaker 3:
[50:50] be like this.

Speaker 6:
[50:51] be like this.

Speaker 3:
[50:52] And they know that Dan Whale's out on them.

Speaker 6:
[50:56] No, we talking about like if we had the 24.

Speaker 7:
[50:57] If we had the 24.

Speaker 3:
[50:58] On the court, lie.

Speaker 6:
[50:59] But if we had the 24. And you got a guarding you, and he's hacking you. Are you calling, you're gonna call ball every time he hack you, right? Now, we slowing the game now. Everybody in there like, bro, it's still 2-2. We've been in here 45 minutes because he keep hacking Nick.

Speaker 8:
[51:16] So stop that. Right?

Speaker 6:
[51:18] He keep hacking. Now, let's say Nick guarding the other on the other end.

Speaker 8:
[51:22] Okay.

Speaker 6:
[51:22] He ain't got game like that. But he's saying just because Nick is calling that shit every time, I'm gonna call that shit every time. You know you're not fouling him. It's just some, that's my ball.

Speaker 8:
[51:33] It's gonna frustrate the fuck out of you, my.

Speaker 2:
[51:35] The first time I'll let it get, the second time he not getting away with that. I don't care.

Speaker 6:
[51:39] But you just got away with it.

Speaker 7:
[51:41] For five straight possessions, you called those shit.

Speaker 6:
[51:43] Cause you know why? You Brandon Jennings, you played in the league. Y'all gotta respect the fact that I'm the that's in here. But this, I'm not giving, man, you're not getting that call.

Speaker 8:
[51:52] Exactly. Just like I just said, I'm SGA. I'm the finals MVP.

Speaker 6:
[51:55] So you would see why he.

Speaker 8:
[51:56] I'm MVP of the NBA.

Speaker 6:
[51:57] You see why he's frustrated.

Speaker 8:
[51:58] You're not on this level. I'm getting that call.

Speaker 6:
[52:01] It's frustrating. It's not who. If we both not calling it equal, and it's like, my nigga, I'm not fouling you down here. You call it every time. But then you come down here, you saying you're not fouling me?

Speaker 2:
[52:11] Hold on.

Speaker 6:
[52:11] You fouling me?

Speaker 2:
[52:12] This guy played for a national championship team with Carolina.

Speaker 8:
[52:18] So when y'all won, you telling me that next year, y'all didn't get advantages?

Speaker 3:
[52:22] They had advantages.

Speaker 6:
[52:22] I left that year. I didn't come back.

Speaker 3:
[52:26] Okay. The year they was ranked when they played us, they had advantages.

Speaker 6:
[52:30] I wasn't there.

Speaker 3:
[52:31] Yes, you did.

Speaker 6:
[52:31] I wasn't there.

Speaker 3:
[52:32] You blew me my freshman year. Y'all blew us out by 50.

Speaker 6:
[52:35] I wasn't there.

Speaker 3:
[52:35] Or 30 or something like that.

Speaker 6:
[52:36] I wasn't there.

Speaker 8:
[52:37] Listen, anyways, he had advantage. With Marvin Williams.

Speaker 6:
[52:40] I left with a 05.

Speaker 3:
[52:41] Marvin Williams rookie in the freshman year.

Speaker 8:
[52:42] Listen, at the end of the day, he had advantages.

Speaker 3:
[52:45] Yes, you did play for Marvin Williams.

Speaker 8:
[52:45] Listen, hey, listen. At the end of the day, he had advantages.

Speaker 6:
[52:48] So I don't know why he was getting the whistle. I wasn't getting the whistle.

Speaker 3:
[52:53] I'm not going to Marvin Williams that.

Speaker 6:
[52:54] But when I got the whistle, I got the whistle based on, can't guard me.

Speaker 3:
[52:57] No, no, no, no, no. Y'all had the advantage already.

Speaker 8:
[53:00] North Carolina had the advantage already.

Speaker 3:
[53:02] Y'all had the advantage already. We came down to North Carolina.

Speaker 8:
[53:06] SGA, just like y'all, right now, they're getting the same treatment.

Speaker 3:
[53:09] Nah.

Speaker 2:
[53:10] Until you really beat us.

Speaker 8:
[53:11] You got to come in there and beat us.

Speaker 3:
[53:13] You got to get the same calls. That's what we're all here. We got to get the same calls.

Speaker 6:
[53:17] So there's a complaint, right?

Speaker 3:
[53:19] We didn't.

Speaker 6:
[53:20] You didn't, right? But at the same time. Did it cost you?

Speaker 3:
[53:23] There's players like Lou Will that get fouled. Know how to foul. And I try to do it. I don't know how to do it the same way. I don't get the same foul.

Speaker 6:
[53:30] Because you a real uber.

Speaker 7:
[53:31] You know not to do that shit. You know me looking at you like you're fouled.

Speaker 3:
[53:34] That's like saying Kobe doing all this shit. Getting to... that's foul.

Speaker 7:
[53:38] No, but that ain't the same.

Speaker 3:
[53:40] KD doing this shit to get the foul.

Speaker 6:
[53:42] That's not the same as you driving and you going, eh.

Speaker 2:
[53:46] That's not the same. People who shoot the most free throws. SGA's third.

Speaker 1:
[53:50] SGA's third.

Speaker 3:
[53:51] SGA's third, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 6:
[53:52] Top five.

Speaker 1:
[53:53] Very good at throwing fouls.

Speaker 8:
[53:54] Okay, so why is it all about him now?

Speaker 3:
[53:56] You're always talking about the black man and the two white men.

Speaker 1:
[53:59] Black and 80.

Speaker 6:
[54:00] I mentioned them.

Speaker 3:
[54:01] See, now I see.

Speaker 6:
[54:01] I did. Who was it, Luke Finn Joker?

Speaker 3:
[54:03] Who was it?

Speaker 1:
[54:03] Denny. Denny?

Speaker 3:
[54:05] Sell out brothers on that juice.

Speaker 6:
[54:07] And Denny do less flailing and falling and shit too. Shit.

Speaker 3:
[54:10] Brother, brother. You see him? He had a bean pie suit on yesterday. Come on, brother Brooks, Dillon Brooks.

Speaker 6:
[54:16] Give a fuck about that. If it ain't going, I ain't going. What you talking about?

Speaker 3:
[54:20] What you talking about?

Speaker 1:
[54:21] We have some breaking news on the Thunder front. Just got announced by Shams. Jalen Williams, grade one hamstring strain will be reevaluated on a weekly basis. So it should meet at least the next one to two weeks with healing, but it's one of those things with the hammies as you guys know, trying to come back too soon. So it may not be a big deal for the Thunder in the immediate future, but definitely a big loss for this squad.

Speaker 3:
[54:46] So besides, what was Lucas? He was a grade two, right?

Speaker 1:
[54:50] Sure, whatever he was, he need to get his ass back on the court.

Speaker 2:
[54:52] So one or two, so like second round, like basically second round, third round.

Speaker 1:
[54:57] You know, they may be able to overcome the deficit that Lakers will inevitably put them in.

Speaker 3:
[55:00] You know, once Lakers go up 2-0, they can't come back.

Speaker 1:
[55:03] With this, this.

Speaker 3:
[55:05] Then they'll go 6-5.

Speaker 2:
[55:08] So if you guys play OKC first round, you guys are going to beat OKC.

Speaker 3:
[55:12] Without Jennings winning?

Speaker 2:
[55:13] Yeah, the first two games.

Speaker 3:
[55:14] Yeah, he'll get a couple of games.

Speaker 1:
[55:17] This is the playoff, Mr. B.

Speaker 3:
[55:18] The playoff, you never know.

Speaker 1:
[55:19] It's called a rope adobe.

Speaker 3:
[55:20] Everybody thought we was going to lose when KD came back. Thank you.

Speaker 6:
[55:24] Not everybody. I called it. It don't matter whether he's there or not.

Speaker 3:
[55:31] Get well, JW. I was a part of that. We both got to win that day, right? All right. So I think we've been on the same page.

Speaker 6:
[55:39] No, you've just been following me. You've just been taking my credit.

Speaker 3:
[55:42] You've been taking my credit.

Speaker 7:
[55:44] That's why you two and seven, because your ass didn't follow me. You didn't follow the fucking rules.

Speaker 6:
[55:48] I'll be trying to send you the text like, Nick, just follow the goddamn leader, goddamn.

Speaker 4:
[55:53] Just follow me, bro.

Speaker 6:
[55:54] I promise.

Speaker 3:
[55:56] I know I picked Orlando. I picked Orlando over the Hornets. I know it.

Speaker 1:
[56:01] This show is all over the place today, but I really appreciate you, gentlemen. Do you feel like the Suns have any chance in this?

Speaker 3:
[56:05] No. He know that.

Speaker 1:
[56:07] They're shifting back to Phoenix.

Speaker 3:
[56:09] I do.

Speaker 8:
[56:10] Man, game three is a little...

Speaker 2:
[56:12] Game three, I don't know, because with the refs and everything that's been put out right now, I don't know, man. I can see something crazy happening in game three where Phoenix gets one and this thing goes five. But game three, I mean, yeah, if they don't get game three, I mean, they might get game four, but I do see Phoenix getting one now after what Devin Booker said.

Speaker 6:
[56:37] What did J Dub have at halftime?

Speaker 1:
[56:39] 19.

Speaker 6:
[56:39] He had, so he ended up with 19.

Speaker 1:
[56:41] Seven to eight from the field.

Speaker 6:
[56:42] So take that 19 out of the equation with that team.

Speaker 3:
[56:46] It's over.

Speaker 6:
[56:47] It's a closer game, right? That 19 set them apart.

Speaker 1:
[56:50] Or that bench is just, you know, you got, it's over.

Speaker 2:
[56:52] Yeah, that bench went.

Speaker 3:
[56:53] They played too hard.

Speaker 6:
[56:54] They ended up having 14.

Speaker 3:
[56:57] They got too many bodies.

Speaker 2:
[56:58] Okay, yeah. So take away his night, okay.

Speaker 6:
[57:00] Lou Dord had a couple of late game threes.

Speaker 2:
[57:03] Okay.

Speaker 6:
[57:04] But I'm thinking that set the tone shit for J.Dubb changes everything for them. And you got a defender out there that's like, he's just, what, he's six, eight?

Speaker 2:
[57:15] I think Phoenix gets a game, though, after the.

Speaker 3:
[57:17] I'll bet.

Speaker 2:
[57:18] Three or four.

Speaker 3:
[57:19] How much you want to bet?

Speaker 2:
[57:20] That they get a game?

Speaker 3:
[57:21] Bet.

Speaker 6:
[57:21] You already, oh shit, man.

Speaker 3:
[57:22] How much you want to bet?

Speaker 6:
[57:23] Two shots? You want to not pay your bets, bro.

Speaker 3:
[57:24] Two shots.

Speaker 6:
[57:25] Well, I'll beat you, Dillon, you ain't even, the Clippers, and I ain't even in the fucking shit for the bet to even go down, bro.

Speaker 7:
[57:32] That's an automatic forfeit.

Speaker 3:
[57:33] Yeah, I said that. It's an automatic forfeit. I said only if they play the Clippers.

Speaker 1:
[57:37] There was?

Speaker 2:
[57:38] Yeah, I think the Sells get a game, though.

Speaker 3:
[57:40] Two shots, you want to bet that? Since y'all Dillon Brooks fans, you want to bet?

Speaker 6:
[57:44] Bet that they go win? No, I'm not going to bet that. That's clean sweep. Wait, one game? Clean sweep.

Speaker 3:
[57:48] Clean sweep.

Speaker 6:
[57:49] Clean sweep.

Speaker 9:
[57:50] Not after the Moran.

Speaker 7:
[57:52] Clean sweep.

Speaker 6:
[57:53] Man, at home, too. Get your ass up out of here. We're going straight to the club.

Speaker 1:
[57:58] Let's keep this thing moving. Shift over to the Eastern Conference now. One of two games on the Slayers. So, they Magic stunned the Pistons in Detroit to take game one, with the Pistons extending their NBA record home playoff losing streak to 11 straight games, getting their last home win back in 2008. Detroit became the first top seed to never have a lead in a playoff opener in the play-by-play era. Magic came out strong in game two, looking to build off the momentum from stealing whole-court advantage, and the game was tied head-in to the break, but then Detroit got back to looking like the team that won 60 games this season. Let's take a look at the highlights. If we can, Pistons offense exploded in the third quarter, and their defense tightened up. Pistons went on a 30-3 run. 30-3, you heard that right, ladies and gentlemen. To start the third frame, ended up outscoring the Magic. 38-16 to take the commanding lead. Detroit had six players scoring in double figures, led by their franchise player, Cade Cunningham. Who followed up his 39-point performance in game one, are dropping 27, 11 assists, and six boards. In 37 minutes of action, Tobias Harris added 16 and 11 boards, while Jalen Durin and Asar Thompson both came close to double-doubles. Durin had 11 and nine boards, Thompson had 11 and eight rebounds. Yeah, you see it.

Speaker 3:
[59:17] Ben Carrol.

Speaker 1:
[59:18] Jalen Suggs led the Magic with 19 points on seven and 18 shooting. Paolo Bencarrol, also known as Paolo Pete Carrol, here in Gils Arena, presented by Underdog Woo Woo, had 18. There's no woo woo's.

Speaker 7:
[59:28] What you saying, Pete? What you saying?

Speaker 3:
[59:32] Woo woo.

Speaker 1:
[59:32] They're in the control room. You can't hear the woo woo's through the glass.

Speaker 7:
[59:35] You gave him the name, man.

Speaker 3:
[59:36] You don't remember you one day.

Speaker 7:
[59:37] Paolo Pete Carrol. You gave him the name.

Speaker 1:
[59:40] 18.8 assists, six rebounds. Detroit held the Magic to season lows of 33% shooting, 83 points total in the game. Orlando shot just 25% from three. Pistons were also plus 20 in points in the paint. So with the win, the Pistons finally in their record for the longest home losing streak in postseason history. Even the series as both squads head to Orlando for game three. Shai, we'll start with you. What are your biggest takeaways from the Pistons? Game two win over the Orlando Magic.

Speaker 6:
[60:09] It's only so much fluff you can give the Magic to make them look good. I think JB went in there and talked to the team and had them really understand the severity of being number one and not going down to a team like this. I was thinking that the Magic had a chance to go up and solidify that series, but Cade showed up like the leader, like the leadership. And I think that with Cade being able to command a good first game and a solid second game, Jalen Durden didn't show up the way he could have. I think Isaiah Stewart played some big minutes. Duncan Robinson played some big minutes. Thompson Boyd, he always going to do what he do as far as defense and being in the right spots. They continue to do what they're doing as far as this game and they can proceed it and keep going. They're cleaning up. But the Magic got something to prove at this point. They just erratic now. I don't know what to say about them right now because to lose to the Sixers the way they did, to beat the Hornets the way they did and then come in and win against Detroit Game 1 and then they look like a totally different team. So I think they just need to clean up the little things and just show up and play hard because sometimes they had some lapses where they didn't play hard. They didn't look like a cohesive unit. But you got to give credit to the Pistons for showing up for sure.

Speaker 1:
[61:40] You got to imagine after tricking that first game, this Pistons squad, toughness grid, 160 games this season, they were going to get it back together. But impressive third quarter run, 30 to 3. You start that third quarter. Mr. B, when you look at this game, what are the biggest takeaways from the Pistons game to win?

Speaker 2:
[61:57] I mean, the Pistons didn't approach this second game like they did the first. Looked like they were comfortable getting the first win. Which is, you definitely want to get at least one win on the road. Cade definitely, he did his thing, of course. That's definitely what he's going to do. But man, I can't really count Orlando out in this because of their struggle enough scoring from Detroit Pistons. Cade is their only main scorer. And Dern and Tobias, they haven't really been stepping up too much for them in the first two games. So, yeah, Cade had 37, but I just feel like game three, which is early game Saturday, which is at 1 p.m., 10 a.m. our time. But that's going to say a lot too, being in Orlando, being on the road. It's kind of a set up game too for Detroit to lose. So, I don't know. I got to see what the other All-Star players are going to do on Detroit because they have trouble scoring. So, and in the playoffs, you know, you're going to need somebody else to be able to score. Especially, I mean, even if they get out of the series with Orlando, right? I mean, your next series, you're going to need another score or somebody else.

Speaker 3:
[63:08] You've been saying that all year.

Speaker 2:
[63:10] You know what I'm saying? They don't have that extra score that can help Cade. So, I don't know. Like, my jury is not out on Orlando right now. I got to see what game three is like because it's an early game and it's that kind of a set up game.

Speaker 3:
[63:22] Yeah, I for sure think it's going to be a tough series this first round for Detroit. Game three, Paolo got to adjust like Cade did. He got to show us if he's a superstar or what he's going to be in this league, really. You know, Orlando played like they've been playing all year. They look like they got their identity first game and then second game they look like where Orlando at. For Cade, he stepped up. He showed why he's a superstar in this league, took control of the game. Pistons, basketball, defense, get physical with him. And Orlando, and Wagner, if he's going to be the co-star, he got to step up to it. You can't disappear in the game. He had 12 points or something like that. If he brought the, I don't know if he got paid yet, but.

Speaker 1:
[64:11] He's got his bread.

Speaker 3:
[64:12] So, he got to step up. Bang, all of you guys, you. Coming in, I thought Orlando would have been in front of Detroit. You know, they should have been, they would have been, I thought they would have been like ranked five or four, somewhere in that range. So, it's not one of those cakewalk teams that Detroit is playing. And if they get past this, I think this is a tough challenge for them. But next season, next round will be Cleveland. So, they got to figure it out. Duren got to step up. Tabiah Harris been in this game. He got to try to get, give you more than his everyday 14, 13.

Speaker 2:
[64:55] Yeah, they're going to need some 20 points.

Speaker 3:
[64:56] They're going to need some, somebody got to get it. One of them road players got to win at least two games for him. Got to hit a couple of threes. Got to be like Luke Connord out there.

Speaker 2:
[65:08] When they see that, can you say Cleveland? Cleveland out of Toronto?

Speaker 1:
[65:11] Or the Raptors.

Speaker 2:
[65:12] No, I mean, no.

Speaker 6:
[65:14] Is the jewelry out on Paolo? When you compare Paolo and Cade?

Speaker 3:
[65:20] That's what I'm saying. If he want to be on Cade level, he...

Speaker 6:
[65:24] Cade 24, Paolo 23. I think, what, Cade year four, five?

Speaker 3:
[65:31] They came in together, didn't they?

Speaker 6:
[65:32] I think Cade one year ahead, and they both number one picks. So, Cade and MVP conversations, Paolo out here, luncheon.

Speaker 3:
[65:45] Paolo went to the playoff, what, two years? Every year?

Speaker 2:
[65:48] Two years in a row. Two years in a row. He's still doing, I mean, he's still doing his thing.

Speaker 3:
[65:53] He lost to Cleveland, then Boston, now Detroit.

Speaker 6:
[65:57] This is supposed to be his down year, and he averaged in 22.

Speaker 2:
[66:02] He had like the lowest.

Speaker 6:
[66:03] Twenty-two and eight.

Speaker 2:
[66:04] Outside the paint. It was crazy.

Speaker 6:
[66:06] Down year, too.

Speaker 1:
[66:07] Yes, it didn't make the postseason, rookie season, but three straight. Two straight first, and I lost this.

Speaker 3:
[66:13] We thought this year he was going to take off.

Speaker 6:
[66:15] He was 26 last year. Twenty-six and eight last year.

Speaker 3:
[66:21] But you bring in Bang, too, though. Bang is going to take off.

Speaker 6:
[66:23] Should help you.

Speaker 7:
[66:24] But it should take some of the numbers off, though.

Speaker 3:
[66:27] Because you didn't have Bang average 20 with Memphis.

Speaker 2:
[66:32] It's going to come down to like Bang is going to have to have one of them 35, 40-point games, like just catch fire for them. I'm telling you. Listen, game one, like game one, I wasn't high on them either, but game one, I was like, damn, all right. And then game two, it was like, all right, yeah, they felt like they, you know, we got one, we can go back to Orlando. We got two at home. We can definitely get one at home. And that's why I said, I don't know, man. Like, I don't know about this here. It's a little tricky. It's a tricky little series right here.

Speaker 6:
[67:02] If Paolo not showing up the way he supposed to, that's what, it's always tricky with me because I think Cade shows up.

Speaker 3:
[67:09] Cade shows up.

Speaker 6:
[67:09] Oh yeah. Right.

Speaker 3:
[67:11] This is me.

Speaker 6:
[67:13] You can tell it's his ship and he's driving it.

Speaker 3:
[67:15] Yeah.

Speaker 6:
[67:16] Paolo don't look like he, one, wants the keys to the bitch and he don't know where he going. He's just like, I know I'm supposed to be sitting there, but I want to sit over here. I want to watch the trees and the birds and shit. I just want to be a part of the ride. And it don't, like, it just don't feel like, maybe it's a dupe thing, man.

Speaker 3:
[67:36] I don't know.

Speaker 6:
[67:37] It could be a dupe thing. All right.

Speaker 3:
[67:39] Is it a coach name? But he got bang over there. I don't know.

Speaker 6:
[67:41] Because he was doing it last year.

Speaker 3:
[67:43] But they also said Wagner, too. Like, who was it? Wagner or his?

Speaker 6:
[67:47] They both got hurt. But we know it's clear cut. We're not giving the shit to Wagner. He ain't no number one pick. This is our franchise guy. Paolo was our franchise guy. He got all the tools. We was calling him LeBron 2.0. So at this point, Mello?

Speaker 3:
[68:02] Just calling him Mello.

Speaker 6:
[68:03] He ain't got the Mello shit. He ain't got nothing to do with that.

Speaker 3:
[68:05] You can't compare him to the king.

Speaker 6:
[68:06] I'm just talking about size and speed and being able to handle the ball.

Speaker 3:
[68:10] Paolo.

Speaker 2:
[68:12] Mello who? Carmelo Anthony?

Speaker 6:
[68:14] No. Not a chance.

Speaker 2:
[68:16] Who said that? I heard it.

Speaker 3:
[68:18] It's baby Mello.

Speaker 6:
[68:19] Nick said it in the back.

Speaker 3:
[68:20] What are they saying there?

Speaker 2:
[68:21] I'm about to say it.

Speaker 3:
[68:22] Look it up. Look it up.

Speaker 2:
[68:23] Nick, you said that shit.

Speaker 8:
[68:25] Ain't nobody...

Speaker 6:
[68:26] And you just said it for the first time. You just made that shit up.

Speaker 5:
[68:29] You can't say LeBron.

Speaker 3:
[68:30] Also, when you say LeBron, it's cool. But you say Mello is a problem. That's what it was. This is crazy.

Speaker 6:
[68:36] Lil LeBron.

Speaker 7:
[68:37] And that's a good theme. 6'9, running, dribbling, handling the ball.

Speaker 8:
[68:42] Who was Lil LeBron?

Speaker 3:
[68:44] If you say he's Lil LeBron, and it's quiet, I say Mello.

Speaker 7:
[68:47] Because it's two different games.

Speaker 8:
[68:49] I said two different games.

Speaker 7:
[68:51] Mello not handling the ball like that. It's got to be louder for LeBron.

Speaker 1:
[68:56] Those comps were made.

Speaker 6:
[68:57] Those comps were made.

Speaker 3:
[68:58] Which one? Thank you. I'm about to be the doctor.

Speaker 1:
[69:03] According to the Internet, you know.

Speaker 3:
[69:05] You need to turn in your damn thing.

Speaker 1:
[69:06] Not Orlando Magic.

Speaker 7:
[69:06] Why? They was both comparisons.

Speaker 3:
[69:09] I didn't hear LeBron.

Speaker 7:
[69:11] That don't mean anyone said, You don't be hearing about a shit.

Speaker 3:
[69:15] They said Mello. I heard that.

Speaker 2:
[69:17] Compared to LeBron.

Speaker 3:
[69:19] But the fact that I didn't say nothing, they didn't say LeBron.

Speaker 6:
[69:22] LeBron is the number one pick.

Speaker 8:
[69:25] I never said that. I don't even know why they even compare people to LeBron or Mello.

Speaker 6:
[69:32] He does not compare to Mello at all.

Speaker 8:
[69:35] If you ain't a freshman leading your team at 6'9, like Syracuse to the NCAA, don't compare them to Mello.

Speaker 3:
[69:43] But you went crazy once I said Mello. You was drinking water and they said LeBron. That's what I'm trying to say.

Speaker 8:
[69:50] He said Brun. I don't even know why he said Brun. I said, I don't even know why anyone.

Speaker 3:
[69:54] You didn't say nothing. But once I said Mello.

Speaker 8:
[69:56] Because when you said Mello already said no. Him saying LeBron, I don't even know why he even talking. Saying that.

Speaker 5:
[70:01] No, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 6:
[70:05] Thank you.

Speaker 5:
[70:06] That was easy.

Speaker 3:
[70:07] He need to turn you damn bad.

Speaker 6:
[70:10] You got it wrong. You wrong. You're damn wrong. No, no, it was not it.

Speaker 1:
[70:20] So like I said, serious. All right. Serious shifted to game three in Orlando. Which Pistons squad do you expect to see in game three? The one we saw in game one or the one we saw in game two?

Speaker 2:
[70:30] Two. I hope game two. I mean, like I said, it's an early game. It's one o'clock. I mean, I know it's still the playoffs, but I mean, nobody wants to have an early game during the playoffs. Nobody wants to play at night, so all that traveling.

Speaker 1:
[70:43] So you had an early playoff game? You've had an early playoff game before?

Speaker 3:
[70:46] It's a Saturday.

Speaker 2:
[70:47] I think so, yeah. I knew it was a Saturday, but I'm just saying, like you know, you still want to play at, I don't want no one o'clock game for the playoffs. I want to play prime time.

Speaker 3:
[70:54] Those are fun.

Speaker 1:
[70:55] You don't want to play a playoff game on Sunday.

Speaker 3:
[70:57] Those are fun.

Speaker 8:
[70:58] Yeah, what, at one o'clock? Playing a playoff game at one o'clock? Hell no. I want to play at like, I want to play at five or seven.

Speaker 3:
[71:05] On a Saturday?

Speaker 8:
[71:06] Yes, I want to play later. I don't want to play early during the day.

Speaker 3:
[71:11] On Saturday, people are out watching.

Speaker 6:
[71:12] First of all, you don't get to take that nap, bro.

Speaker 3:
[71:15] You don't need that nap. You wake up.

Speaker 6:
[71:16] You do need that nap.

Speaker 3:
[71:18] No, that means it's no pregame. It's no pregame.

Speaker 6:
[71:21] That's the point.

Speaker 7:
[71:22] So you wake it up.

Speaker 6:
[71:23] If you want to get some work in that day, if you want to go get some 1000 size up, you want to go do any of that shit, you need to eat and take a nap after that so you can recharge.

Speaker 8:
[71:34] No, that's the point.

Speaker 6:
[71:34] But now, you just waking up, no pregame, no shots up, you just showing up, like stretch, let's go.

Speaker 8:
[71:41] I mean, I got to go to bed early at Friday, then I got to get up early.

Speaker 3:
[71:46] You ain't got to go to sleep early.

Speaker 8:
[71:48] Yes, you do, because I got to be at the arena by what time? If our game is at 1 o'clock, I got to get to the arena by 9.

Speaker 6:
[71:53] There ain't no shoot around.

Speaker 7:
[71:55] They might not even do no shoot around. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3:
[71:57] There's no shoot around.

Speaker 6:
[71:58] That's why.

Speaker 3:
[71:58] That's better.

Speaker 6:
[71:59] No.

Speaker 4:
[72:00] How the fuck you supposed to prepare for the game?

Speaker 8:
[72:03] I still need to get up. I still got to get going.

Speaker 3:
[72:05] Yes. You get to get up, eat your causes, eat your breakfast.

Speaker 6:
[72:09] What if you don't eat breakfast? You're not a breakfast person.

Speaker 3:
[72:12] Now you got forced to eat some shit.

Speaker 8:
[72:15] So you would want to have a playoff game at 1 o'clock instead of 7.30?

Speaker 3:
[72:17] Yes. Then after we whoop their ass.

Speaker 8:
[72:19] Hell no.

Speaker 6:
[72:20] You got all day to do shit.

Speaker 8:
[72:22] First of all, it ain't nothing to be doing anyway during a playoff. So put me every night at 7 o'clock.

Speaker 3:
[72:28] I understand. Y'all ain't win. That's why when you win. Oh my God.

Speaker 8:
[72:34] First of all, you're talking about a guy who played in the NCAA tournament at 10 o'clock, at 1 o'clock, 3 o'clock.

Speaker 3:
[72:39] When you win, it's a dinner and everything after. Y'all all cheers. Most of the time, your family is there. So yeah, family, everybody, family is still coming down after you win. You feeling good?

Speaker 8:
[72:49] I know. I've been to the playoff. I know. So what I'm saying is after the playoffs, you're doing that anyway. Nobody's doing nothing anyway after. Everybody's chilling together anyway.

Speaker 7:
[73:00] We're not doing nothing.

Speaker 3:
[73:01] That time was the time I played Gil in Memphis early. Me and Gil hung out after 5 o'clock. So you can hang out with your friends and shit.

Speaker 8:
[73:10] You could do that anytime. You ain't got to do that. There's nothing else to do during the playoffs, but just be with your people anyway.

Speaker 3:
[73:15] No, yes, it is.

Speaker 8:
[73:16] What else is there to do while you try to go in the championship in the playoffs? Yeah, chilling right now.

Speaker 3:
[73:31] I was about to say something crazy. I was about to say something crazy.

Speaker 7:
[73:34] Yeah.

Speaker 6:
[73:35] I'm glad that's your catch word.

Speaker 7:
[73:36] Yeah.

Speaker 3:
[73:40] Yeah. Yeah, let me think about what you did. But now, if the game at night is over at 10, all you got to do is go in the store. It's not open. You can't go eat. Yes, you can't.

Speaker 8:
[73:48] You're in the playoffs, and you just want a playoff game, and you on the road.

Speaker 6:
[73:51] 24 hours, room service, all that.

Speaker 3:
[73:55] The Lakers game. What time did we leave here? 10.30. Okay. Then they got to take a shower. You're not just picking up and leave like we did. You got to do media. You out that bitch at 12 midnight.

Speaker 8:
[74:06] If I play for the Los Angeles, listen, if I play for the Los Angeles Lakers, right, and I got a playoff game, and I want to go eat at Mr. Nice Guys, they're opening up that shit for me to play. You crazy? Are you crazy?

Speaker 3:
[74:16] Not on Tuesday.

Speaker 8:
[74:17] Not on Tuesday. Yes, they are.

Speaker 7:
[74:18] Yes, the Tuesday is when they're rocking.

Speaker 8:
[74:20] And you know what else they're doing. And I'm eating in the kitchen.

Speaker 7:
[74:23] What you talking about?

Speaker 3:
[74:24] And it's one o'clock on East Coast time.

Speaker 8:
[74:27] What does that mean?

Speaker 3:
[74:27] So they're not watching. You want everybody to see you.

Speaker 8:
[74:30] No.

Speaker 3:
[74:30] You're going to see this ass whippin. I'm going to give you. Oh, my God.

Speaker 8:
[74:33] No, listen, I don't care about. How do we go from people watching to what we do?

Speaker 3:
[74:37] You asked them why the East Coast.

Speaker 8:
[74:40] I played for the Los Angeles Lakers. They're going to stay up to 2, 3 o'clock in the morning to see us lose. We got the Lakers across our jersey.

Speaker 1:
[74:48] To see us lose, bros?

Speaker 8:
[74:49] I mean, to win or lose. What I'm saying at the end of the day, I'm getting food after.

Speaker 3:
[74:53] Did you see old-ass Kenyan? He looked tired when he was watching things. That was day and night asleep, took a nap. You can't beat him. Come on, man.

Speaker 8:
[75:05] He was high, man. We was high. Hey, man, we was high.

Speaker 3:
[75:11] I gotta go take a nap, man.

Speaker 6:
[75:12] I gotta go take a nap, man. Goddamn. Hurry up.

Speaker 8:
[75:17] You were acting like you can't get shit open in LA. I thought you was Mr. California.

Speaker 2:
[75:21] Why would they shut it down for you?

Speaker 3:
[75:22] Anyway, they closed early.

Speaker 6:
[75:25] We on the East Coast, though. We talking about daytime game on the East Coast at 1 o'clock.

Speaker 3:
[75:30] And I love that.

Speaker 2:
[75:33] So that means our game will be at 5 o'clock then, basically, on the East Coast. By 8 o'clock, we done.

Speaker 8:
[75:37] After everything, we can still go out to eat and do our family thing.

Speaker 2:
[75:40] What are you talking about?

Speaker 6:
[75:41] What are you talking about?

Speaker 2:
[75:42] We are NBA players. Wait, wait.

Speaker 3:
[75:43] So, come on, 1 o'clock out here?

Speaker 6:
[75:46] No, they played it at 4 o'clock here.

Speaker 2:
[75:48] No, so, all right, so the Pistons and Orlando Magic, right?

Speaker 3:
[75:52] What time is the game?

Speaker 8:
[75:52] 10 o'clock in the morning, it comes on out here, but they play 1 o'clock there.

Speaker 6:
[75:56] Okay, yeah, 10 o'clock. The 10 a.m. game.

Speaker 7:
[75:58] Yeah, we're not even getting up to watch that game.

Speaker 3:
[76:00] Like watching basketball.

Speaker 6:
[76:02] We're not getting up out here. We're not getting up at 10 to watch them play.

Speaker 8:
[76:06] There's other stuff on Saturday.

Speaker 3:
[76:08] It's part of the playoff at Marsh Madness. It's games from 9 to that.

Speaker 6:
[76:13] But we're catching the what game? We're catching the what game? We're catching the 1 o'clock game, the 2 o'clock game. You're going to look at the box score at the 10 o'clock game. You like who plays?

Speaker 8:
[76:25] Saturday at 10 a.m. This time we're watching baseball. People are watching baseball, so they're not getting up.

Speaker 3:
[76:30] Talking crazy.

Speaker 2:
[76:33] Put me at 5 or 7 for a playoff game.

Speaker 3:
[76:36] I love them early games, bro.

Speaker 1:
[76:38] So we're going to shift focus here a little bit. Mr. B, got some breaking news concerning your Milwaukee Bucks.

Speaker 3:
[76:44] Yes, he got traded.

Speaker 2:
[76:45] What just happened?

Speaker 1:
[76:46] Bucks and former Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins apparently have agreed to a deal for him to become the next head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Speaker 8:
[76:56] Smoke, smoke, put the smoke, put the smoke.

Speaker 1:
[77:01] Jenkins was an assistant coach with the Bucks, I think 2018-19 season before going over to Memphis. Obviously got the boot over with the Grizzlies unceremoniously.

Speaker 2:
[77:11] What was his record with Memphis?

Speaker 3:
[77:12] He was number one down there.

Speaker 1:
[77:14] Ooh, hold on, let me.

Speaker 3:
[77:15] He was good in the West. Remember, that's when he was coach.

Speaker 1:
[77:18] So, I had a record of 250 and 214, made three post-seasons across six seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Speaker 2:
[77:26] Let's go, let's go.

Speaker 8:
[77:28] Bucks is sixth, let's go, let's go.

Speaker 7:
[77:31] Yup, yup, we back.

Speaker 1:
[77:35] Yeah, please. And I love Milwaukee.

Speaker 7:
[77:38] We back.

Speaker 3:
[77:39] That don't really push the needle.

Speaker 2:
[77:41] What are you talking about? You know who coming now.

Speaker 3:
[77:44] Jai, gotta be nice. He can do all he can, all he want in Milwaukee. He can do everything in Milwaukee.

Speaker 6:
[77:51] Listen, you can't get it done with Dame, I don't give a who else you bring around.

Speaker 3:
[77:55] Jai and that's different.

Speaker 6:
[77:56] What's different?

Speaker 3:
[77:59] Jai's different.

Speaker 6:
[77:59] You just got two going to the lane.

Speaker 3:
[78:01] Jai's different now.

Speaker 2:
[78:04] Shout out to Bucks.

Speaker 3:
[78:06] That's a good point.

Speaker 2:
[78:06] I like to hire.

Speaker 3:
[78:07] For sure. If you're trying to get Jai, I feel like I like that.

Speaker 6:
[78:14] With no Yannis? Yannis gone.

Speaker 3:
[78:18] You think so?

Speaker 6:
[78:19] For sure.

Speaker 1:
[78:20] Taylor Jenkins enough to potentially persuade Yannis?

Speaker 6:
[78:23] No.

Speaker 1:
[78:24] To stay with the only franchisees now?

Speaker 6:
[78:27] Hell no.

Speaker 1:
[78:28] They should be quiet right now.

Speaker 2:
[78:29] I don't know. I don't know what we got to see. Well, we might be there. We might be there this summer, so we'll know.

Speaker 1:
[78:36] We very well may be in Milwaukee.

Speaker 2:
[78:37] We might be there this summer.

Speaker 7:
[78:39] No, no, no.

Speaker 1:
[78:41] Your family will be there.

Speaker 2:
[78:42] No, we might be in Milwaukee this summer.

Speaker 3:
[78:44] We came out here this weekend.

Speaker 1:
[78:46] Summer festival.

Speaker 2:
[78:47] We might be in Milwaukee.

Speaker 3:
[78:50] They got a new coach.

Speaker 8:
[78:51] We about to get the exclusives. We about to get all that.

Speaker 5:
[78:54] They came out here this weekend.

Speaker 2:
[78:56] And I already told your family you coming, so they was like, make sure it's Swaggy. I was like, I got you. I got you.

Speaker 3:
[79:01] They told me they was coming out here.

Speaker 2:
[79:05] No, but you going to go see them?

Speaker 1:
[79:06] You stop answering the phone?

Speaker 3:
[79:07] Yeah, man. So I can't go out there. It's people looking.

Speaker 6:
[79:09] Take care of them kids, man.

Speaker 2:
[79:11] Take care of your family, man.

Speaker 6:
[79:12] Oh, man.

Speaker 8:
[79:13] You are a family guy, though.

Speaker 2:
[79:14] One thing, I do love going to Swaggy P family events. The whole family be there.

Speaker 3:
[79:19] Thank you for coming. I invite them too. They don't come. I know. Thank you.

Speaker 1:
[79:23] I'm yet to receive an invite.

Speaker 3:
[79:25] Because it's a little bit too much for you, you know. You got like, your whole other, you know. You like to have some of it. It's like your whole other side. We got it. I don't like dancing around, you know. I like to be free, you know. I like to be free. I like to play the music. So, I don't want to scare your whole other side, you know.

Speaker 4:
[79:46] Family is very quick.

Speaker 1:
[79:49] Very comfortable in any setting.

Speaker 6:
[79:51] Not Marcus Johnson. He ain't invited.

Speaker 1:
[79:54] Marcus is not invited.

Speaker 3:
[79:56] I got you. Let me do like.

Speaker 2:
[79:58] Marcus Johnson said, no, no, no.

Speaker 1:
[80:00] The first Crip to win the Woodland War for those.

Speaker 6:
[80:01] Come on, man. He's outside still. He's still outside.

Speaker 7:
[80:07] He said the first Crip.

Speaker 3:
[80:11] That's fire.

Speaker 1:
[80:12] It was the first Crip to win the Woodland War.

Speaker 3:
[80:14] That could possibly come.

Speaker 1:
[80:18] All right. Well, let's shift this back over to the Western Conference. We have an update on Victor Wembanyama. Wemby's status for game three and beyond remains uncertain after he left game two of the concussion, but Spurs got some positive news Wednesday as the unanimous defensive player of the year was able to do some cardio work as his concussion symptoms did not worsen. So, earlier today, Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson said that Wemby will travel with the team to Portland for games three and four. It's not a flight risk, ladies and gentlemen. He will be in Portland. So, how should the Spurs approach these next two games in Portland if they do not have Wemby? But Wemby potentially could get cleared as early as game three. So, initially, you suffer concussion, 48-hour waiting period while you have to do all the required return to play, test and all that good shit. But you can do cardio 24 hours after the initial diagnosis, as long as the symptoms do not worsen. The symptoms did not worsen. So, you got to do that cardio after 24 hours. Could potentially play game three, maybe even game four at the earliest.

Speaker 2:
[81:25] It's your team. It's your team.

Speaker 1:
[81:27] You are our resident Victor Wembanyama expert.

Speaker 6:
[81:30] We ain't worried about nothing. Okay.

Speaker 3:
[81:32] We ain't worried about nothing.

Speaker 6:
[81:34] We ain't worried about nothing. And he gonna come back game four, I think the rest is game three, and let the guys go out there and do what they supposed to do. Next man up, play hard, play smart, play together. I think the last game you look, we lost by three. Had a good look at the last shot. I think just guys need to show up a little bit better without the tension of wondering if Wemby gonna come back and save or not. And if you know going into game three that he not coming back, I think DM. Fox steps up. I think Stefan Castle takes a different role. I think they changed the plays a little bit. I think Lou Cornette steps up. He starts to play a little bit better. Carter Bryant is gonna come off the bench and give us another little boost defensively. I think Harrison Barnes is gonna finally step into a role and start hitting some shots. Champagne is gonna start hitting some shots. They just need to just play effective. I think just don't think too much into it. Just go out there and play hard. At the end of the day, you play hard. It's gonna cover a lot of the bases that the mistakes that were made last game didn't do. So you gotta get Scoot Henderson under control. That's gonna be my scouting report. Get him under control. Let's do elbows and boxes on Denny Alvia. Let's make sure that Kamara and Jeremy Grant and Shay Sharpe are not moving too much in transition. Take care of the ball, execute, make them shoot tough shots and keep Donovan Klingon off the offensive boards. I think if we go into the game with that mindset, it could take care of itself. But like I said, they got to do their job. They got to attack the paint. They got to put them guys in foul trouble. You can't just let Denny Alvia be out there without playing no defense. You can't let Scoop be out there just fucking hacking the hell out of y'all out there on the perimeter. I put no pressure on him. And if they do that, they'll be fine. They'll be fine.

Speaker 1:
[83:28] Mr. B, look at this Spurs squad, Series 1-1, going back to Portland. No T-shirts for Blazers fans. So, uncertain what the morale will be amongst the Blazers contingent and their new ownership. They're very frugal to this point, but Spurs don't have Wemby, at least game three and potentially game four. How should they approach those two games they want to take back home court advantage in the Series?

Speaker 2:
[83:54] It's up in the air. I mean, this is their first time in the playoffs. So this is their first time on the road. Portland is a team. Portland is a city that Baxter, their team is going to be sold out loud. Drew Holliday has played in every playoff situation you could think of. So he has experience. And I just think that them being able to win, Robert Williams, his name, Robert Williams, right? He was able to control the paint and things like that. So if he can do what he did when Wemby was out, I think they have a chance to take game three. Scoot, however he said when he woke up and he brushed his teeth and he went downstairs and he knew it was on. He got to take that same approach at home. Because you're going to get a young spurs team. So they're not really experienced. But you have some experience over there with, I mean, D-Fox is there, but D-Fox won't have to up his game. He's going to have to really put the team on his back a little bit. But, you know, I kind of have Portland winning game three. Right now, I'm going with Portland winning game three, just off Wemby not being there. And they're going to make things a little interesting. But I do still have the spurs winning the whole series. But I just think game three, without Wemby, is going to cause Wemby to come back.

Speaker 1:
[85:19] Swaggy, Wemby's still in concussion protocol, was able to do some cardio last night. Ms. Johnson said he will travel with the team to Portland.

Speaker 3:
[85:26] If the Spurs need Wemby to rush back for game three, that shows that they not ready already, mentally. Putting the guy that, you don't mess with your brain, and that shit hurt, but at the same time, if you could show your focus. But at the same time, if Wemby feels that he could play, he should play. But you could do what you've been doing to him all season, like manage control, bring him off the bench, do that six man, and that still gives the players out there confidence to be themselves, you know. But if you feel like you have to rush Wemby back to get a win, and the only way you can get a win is rushing Wemby back. I think they already lost. Let the Spurs be the Spurs. You don't hear that about OKC Jalen Williams. Is he going to rush back to play? You still see OKC has hope. So it's up to Fox, Casu, all them other guys. You know, it's going to be tough, but they got to go out there and play. They've won a lot of games without Wemby. And we're talking about Portland. You're giving them guys confidence as we speak. You know, and that's all it takes for a young player, is confidence sometimes.

Speaker 1:
[86:48] So Spurs were 12-6 without Wemby this season.

Speaker 3:
[86:51] 12-6.

Speaker 1:
[86:52] 2-1, I believe, against the Blazers. Should be able.

Speaker 3:
[86:55] Should be able to get one game without them. I'm not saying go to whole series, but you should be able to get one game.

Speaker 1:
[87:03] Well, in other Spurs news, Wednesday League announced Keldon Johnson named sixth man of the year. So Spurs posted this video of Johnson pulling up to the practice facility with all of his teammates, rocking cowboy hats to celebrate the accomplishment. He averaged 13 points, five rebounds, 1.4 assists while playing in all 82 games. This season, first player in franchise history, scored at least 1,000 points off the bench in the season. In his 1,081 points total, he had 1,081 points. First Spurs player to score 1,000 points off the bench. 1,081 points total off the bench was second most in the NBA this season. Johnson, the Spurs' longest tenured active player, starter for most of his first four plus seasons in the league, led the Spurs in scoring during the 22-23 season. They averaged nearly 22 points a game. Team finished 22-60 that year before Pop moved them to the bench during the 23-24 season. He's admitted the decision was hard to accept initially, but he was committed to doing what was best for the team. Flourish in that role obviously have been instrumental in helping turn the franchise around. So he beat out Jaime Jaques Jr. and Tim Hardaway for six man of the year. When you just look at what Keldon Johnson, obviously fourth season, third season averaged 22 in the league. Embracing this role as a six man, now joins Amanu Janobli as I believe the only six man war winners in Spurs history. Shai, we will start with you first. What's your reaction to Keldon Johnson winning six man of the year?

Speaker 6:
[88:39] Much deserved, you know, he's been a Spur, loyal, faithful. He had to go through that dreadful pop stage where he didn't have no superstars, wasn't winning nothing, tanking, trying to figure it all out, ground zero. And then asked to come off the bench thinking that you do what you do. And he's one of those underrated players that can get to the bucket, can offensive rebound, can defend. He can do everything. So for him finally to get his just due, you can see his emotions when he found out. I don't know if people have seen that or not, but he feels like the journey's been definitely worth it now that he's being rewarded and credited for his patience and his sacrifice. And I think a lot of players like him have done similar things when you're playing on certain teams that have pedigree and prestige. And you have to take that backseat. And a lot of guys who play for the Spurs were unwilling to take those backseats. Given the opportunity to take one for the team, and I think he's done it. And for them to get the complete reward would be to win the championship for someone like him, for someone like Devin Vasell, who were there during the tour mall and during the downtime. And I think that he definitely got what he deserved, for sure.

Speaker 1:
[90:04] So Mr. B, when you see Keldon Johnson, gold medalist, started for the bulk of the first four plus seasons of his career, now he's shifted to a bench role, found success in that. What's your reaction to Keldon Johnson winning six men in a year?

Speaker 2:
[90:18] First, congratulations. It speaks on all the hard work and just the sacrifice that he did. But it speaks on the organization too. Finding ways to get players in the right position. I know it will be hard, but things always work out over there in San Antonio for a lot of players. And just to take on that challenge and to go from leading the team and scoring to come off the bench and your team is number two and have a chance to win a championship, I mean, what more can you ask for? This just speaks volumes on his character and his maturity. This is a guy that's going to be in the league for a long time. To me, because of just on the challenge that he took and that he's taken and being on San Antonio and the way they move, the way they are, regardless if he's going to be here for his whole career or not, but just this moment right here is going to really identify him for the rest of the league. That he's a player and an event that you can count on to be able to be in San. For sure. You know, hey, I went from being a leading scorer on a team to now I'm the sixth man of the year and I can take on any role, so that's a guy that's going to be a great vet when the years come.

Speaker 1:
[91:28] He's been a great vet on the team. Wemby has sung his praises all season, was lobbying for him to win six man of the year during his MVP campaign. Last month, it was like, anyway.

Speaker 3:
[91:40] Wemby owned the media, but now that does show a lot of character and professionalism. When you go from starting to your minutes change, situation change, plays change, and you come off the bench, and you come in with the right attitude. You don't change the locker room with your attitude. You don't make players feel uncomfortable. You come in and do your job, and you could tell they like him when they are wearing the hats and happy for him. So you could tell he has a right mindset, and that's a team first guy, whatever it takes to win. You can't say nothing is well-deserved, well-deserved. Especially when Wemby says it, it's going to get done.

Speaker 7:
[92:28] When Wemby says it's going to get done?

Speaker 3:
[92:31] It takes a lot of young people.

Speaker 6:
[92:34] Glad you realized that.

Speaker 2:
[92:36] No, but seriously, though, what he just did, though, for young players that come into the league, man, four years in.

Speaker 6:
[92:42] Yeah, four and a half years.

Speaker 1:
[92:44] It's fifth season, excuse me.

Speaker 2:
[92:46] You know, was leading the team in scoring and then had to take a different role, man, that says a lot for them, and coaches are going to see that for them. So down the road, watch, you're going to see this guy in the league for about 15, 17 years because he understands how to, you know, take on roles.

Speaker 3:
[93:03] You're going to be that guy, why is he still in the league, you know, damn. And he's going to be right there.

Speaker 2:
[93:07] Because his ass is taking on another role, sitting there locking down that jumper still, 12, 13 points a night. Yeah, Jeff Green, still want to be in the league.

Speaker 6:
[93:17] Is it fair?

Speaker 3:
[93:18] Huh?

Speaker 6:
[93:19] Is it fair?

Speaker 3:
[93:20] Fair what?

Speaker 6:
[93:22] To have to have to take that sacrifice?

Speaker 8:
[93:27] I mean, life, I mean, I mean, life isn't...

Speaker 6:
[93:29] As far as being your fourth year leading the team, right? And then having to change that trajectory. And it not be for winning. Because if it wasn't winning, before that year, if it was winning, we do this and we start winning. But we did this and it's just because we feel like you're better here. And then think about him. He's going to be 10 years from now thinking like, damn man, what if I didn't make that sacrifice? What if I got traded to a team that's going to allow me to do what I was doing to get me here? And they believe that I can play. I think what Iman Shumpert was saying some shit like that. Mike Beasley was saying some stuff like that. Different choices was like, man, I just didn't accept this role. And he was like, nah, I'm a hooper. I'm trying to get my points off.

Speaker 1:
[94:25] And then you meet him.

Speaker 2:
[94:27] But you're saying like, is it fair in his position? Is it fair? Yeah, I think it's fair. I think it's fair. And I think him just realizing, maturing, realizing that the universe is saying, yo, this is it right now. And it's been going in their favor all year. You got the defensive player of the year, possibly the coach of the year, probably MVP too. So, yeah, for his situation, yeah, it is fair. Because at the end of the day, we're still not going to forget what he averaged and he was still leading his team. So we know what he can do.

Speaker 3:
[94:59] But I don't know what you mean, fear. Like, is it fear?

Speaker 2:
[95:03] No, no, he asked, was it fair? I'm saying for his situation, yeah, I think what he did is fair. Like, I think what he did was the right thing because of the organization he plays for, the San Antonio Spurs, right?

Speaker 6:
[95:17] If he had championships to contribute to walk away with, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2:
[95:22] But he does, I mean, I have my six man of the year, right? We're number two, we have a chance to go there.

Speaker 6:
[95:27] I could have got that anywhere I went. I could have probably gotten-

Speaker 2:
[95:30] No, you couldn't have.

Speaker 6:
[95:31] I could have probably got most improved, right? So what I'm saying is, today's age, what we consider something you can walk away with is, are you in the history books? Yeah. Are you points per game? And it's all value based on what you're doing on the floor. They don't even look at the championships as a metric anymore. Like we've already had the conversations, how much money you make, how many points you make, not how many championships you win, what team you're on. So if he ain't winning no championships and he sacrificed being that guy or one of them guys just to be around an organization that's cool, I'm thinking like is that fair to him? Because he could have been more, but he's getting the reward now of being six men of the year right now.

Speaker 2:
[96:21] He's in his fourth year, he's in his fourth year.

Speaker 8:
[96:24] I mean, what are we talking about?

Speaker 6:
[96:25] Right now he's in the fourth year, I thought he's in like, what is he?

Speaker 1:
[96:28] He's like six right now.

Speaker 2:
[96:29] Oh, six year.

Speaker 6:
[96:30] That happened in his fourth year, he was leading the team and all that. And then they asked him.

Speaker 1:
[96:35] It's his seventh season. So midway through his fifth season, Pop came on, I believe, Wemby's rookie year.

Speaker 2:
[96:41] Okay.

Speaker 1:
[96:42] Said, look, we're gonna move you over.

Speaker 2:
[96:43] So seventh season.

Speaker 1:
[96:44] Started like 27 games.

Speaker 6:
[96:45] Okay, seventh season, six men of the year. That was him, and Fiselle was killing. But they was trash.

Speaker 2:
[96:49] But just think about it, seventh year, six men of the year, San Antonio, they can make some moves this summer.

Speaker 8:
[96:56] I could be, my value is high. So at the end of the day, I could still go somewhere else and go be that guy if that's what I really want to be.

Speaker 3:
[97:03] No, because you've seen that too.

Speaker 8:
[97:05] What you mean? No, no, no, no, no. But you're saying he just sacrificed on, you just said like he could have went somewhere else and been.

Speaker 6:
[97:12] The window closed for him during his sacrifice.

Speaker 7:
[97:16] The sacrifice.

Speaker 8:
[97:18] So it's over now for him.

Speaker 6:
[97:19] So just to be a guy that was leading the team for the Spurs.

Speaker 3:
[97:23] How much was the average now?

Speaker 1:
[97:25] 22.

Speaker 3:
[97:26] Oh, shit.

Speaker 6:
[97:27] Come on, man.

Speaker 8:
[97:28] So you don't know, man.

Speaker 7:
[97:29] So come on, man.

Speaker 8:
[97:30] So the Lakers couldn't.

Speaker 2:
[97:31] So the Lakers wanted to get him. He couldn't go to the Lakers.

Speaker 1:
[97:33] Average at 22, playing 33 minutes a game.

Speaker 6:
[97:35] Not to average 22.

Speaker 3:
[97:36] Not 22.

Speaker 1:
[97:37] That was the 22, 23.

Speaker 6:
[97:38] We're not. Yeah, we're not picking you up to average 22 right now.

Speaker 3:
[97:42] Yeah, unless he go to the AS team again.

Speaker 6:
[97:45] Wizards or somebody. He can go get his shit off the mud. But, average at 22 for the Spurs, before, what, was it before Wemby, that year before Wemby?

Speaker 1:
[97:54] The year before Wemby. Wemby came in. Numbers dropped to 16 points per game. Last season, they were 13 per game. This year, they're at 13.2, playing the fewest minutes in his career since his rookie season. Minutes have gone down. Oh, man.

Speaker 6:
[98:07] Going from 22, I'm looking back.

Speaker 3:
[98:10] Was Peyton Pritchard a six-man this year, too?

Speaker 1:
[98:12] Last season.

Speaker 2:
[98:13] Last year.

Speaker 3:
[98:13] I know, but was he a six-man this year?

Speaker 1:
[98:16] I think it shifted back to the start. He started, yeah.

Speaker 2:
[98:17] He started, so he went in the World Cup.

Speaker 6:
[98:19] That's tough, bro.

Speaker 2:
[98:21] I mean, yeah, it's tough. I mean, it's tough.

Speaker 1:
[98:22] A corner with freedom is, you like to say something?

Speaker 2:
[98:25] It's tough.

Speaker 6:
[98:27] That's what I say. If he was winning, it's different.

Speaker 3:
[98:29] They are winning. They are winning.

Speaker 6:
[98:31] I'm saying, if we were winning championships in those three years that I sat down to sacrifice.

Speaker 3:
[98:36] Because right now.

Speaker 6:
[98:37] I'm with it, but my men is down and my points down.

Speaker 3:
[98:39] But at the same time, this sixth man is bigger than them 22 points he was averaging on that AS team.

Speaker 2:
[98:44] That's the thing.

Speaker 6:
[98:45] He's averaging 13 points again.

Speaker 2:
[98:47] I know, but this 13th is bigger than that 22.

Speaker 3:
[98:50] I wish I had one of those. I've been in the candidate, but I wish I had one of those. To walk away with something and you have it at home on a, you know, have 22 points on your dresser or wall with it. You have that trophy. That's real hard, bro. That's real hard.

Speaker 1:
[99:06] Shout out, Keldon Johnson. We'll see how the Spurs handle not having Wemby. His workload may have to increase in the interim. Until Wembayama comes back. We got one more topic to discuss today, non-playoff related, as the team was not good enough to make the postseason. But Warriors season came to an unceremonious end last weekend in Phoenix with the loss of the Suns, eliminating them from the postseason. Just days after Golden State kept their season alive with their first win in the Intuit Dome against Kawhi and the Clippers. So with a little over a minute remaining in their final game of the season, Steve Kerr shared a moment with Steph Curry and Draymond Green on the Warriors sideline with the league releasing a snippet of that conversation.

Speaker 4:
[99:44] I don't know what's going to happen next, but I love you guys to death, and thank you. I appreciate you.

Speaker 1:
[99:50] Don't know what's going to happen next, but I love you guys to death. Moments later, both Draymond Green and Devin Booker were rejected from the game by Scott Foster. So since winning the championship in 2022, Warriors have failed to make the playoffs in two of the last four seasons, have not advanced past the second round. So in the latest episode of his podcast, Draymond offered these thoughts on Steve Kerr's future with the team.

Speaker 4:
[100:11] I'm happy, you know, we got to share that moment and that Steve was in the moment, right? Like capturing, like he didn't miss the moment. And, you know, it was a big deal, because, you know, if you ask me, I don't know that he's coming back. If, you know, if you want my opinion, just with all the talk that's been going around, and if you want my opinion, I think not. Just because it just feels like that. I don't know, it just, I hope so. You know, I hope he's our coach next year. I also hope I'm on his team next year. I also don't know that, which we'll get into, but I don't know, man. It just, it felt like that was it. It really felt like that was it. Is it? I don't know. Like I said, I hope not. But for some reason, it just felt like that was it. And man, if it was, what a run it's been.

Speaker 1:
[101:23] So, Kerr said he will take a few weeks to decide his future. In his 12th season with the Warriors, they won four championships. But according to reports, unlikely to return next season. Like I said, they won four chips, led the Warriors to the best single season record in league history in 2016. Then they got smacked by LeBron and the Cavs. Swaggy won a championship with this Warriors squad under Steve Kerr. Did the Warriors dynasty officially end this past weekend?

Speaker 3:
[101:55] For sure. I think that was pretty much his last time coaching him. And you can tell in that moment, Steve Kerr wouldn't say things like that unless he knows this is the end for him. They wouldn't have did all that unless they know something big is about to happen. It's either the end for Draymond or Kerr. And going the way they about to go, I feel like they about to blow it up and go young. And history shows Steve Kerr don't have patience for young players. He don't have... He need vets and guys with championship experience to do what he needs to do. He don't have time to produce players and make players. He's trying to win now with his mentality. And I feel like right now, they're going to try that with Jimmy Butler. Things didn't go right. The rookies they had end up flushing away. Things didn't go right. And it just gave a nasty, like, it made Steve Kerr look different to the organization, to the Bay. And you want to leave while you're not getting booted out. You want to leave on the, you know, Steve Kerr. Like man, won four championships, a gold medalist. Leave when you're on the court. So you get a chance to leave how you want to leave. It's not over though for him. He could go somewhere else for sure. I think it's just over in the Bay.

Speaker 1:
[103:36] Let's just throw to you, Mr. B. Did the Warriors dynasty officially end this past weekend?

Speaker 2:
[103:41] Yo, when they drafted, what's the name, White? Yeah, yeah. Who could they have got?

Speaker 4:
[103:47] Melo.

Speaker 2:
[103:49] Yeah, so that's when the dynasty ended.

Speaker 3:
[103:50] And they could have got Ant-Man too.

Speaker 2:
[103:52] Yeah, so that's when the dynasty-

Speaker 1:
[103:53] And then when number one, I think Steve Kerr, they had some issues with Ant's workout.

Speaker 2:
[103:56] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[103:56] Not being in enough condition.

Speaker 3:
[103:58] It meant a workout twice.

Speaker 2:
[104:00] So I feel like that's when the dynasty ended and also when they traded Clay because Clay, before any of this dynasty or anything, the dynasty talk, they were known as the Slash Brothers under Mark Jackson. And then they got rid of Mark and then Steve came and then everybody else got better and then they just start putting in a dynasty team. But to me, I just felt like when they traded Clay, the dynasty was over because you're losing a score. You're losing one of your best shooters, one of the best shooters ever played this game also. And I think this year, I think this summer, they will go do their homework. But I mean, I don't think you go younger. I think you got to try to go for the kill. And that's, you know, you got to go get a Giannis. You got to go get somebody that's a real big superstar to keep this thing going. And that's the only way I see Steve Kerr coming back, not just with Steph, if it's another big superstar that comes.

Speaker 1:
[105:05] Let's shift over to this side. Dr. McCants, did that Warriors dynasty officially end last weekend with their loss of the Suns getting eliminated from the postseason?

Speaker 6:
[105:15] Nah, it ended when that man punched Jordan Poole. I think that's when it ended. Karma comes back, full circle, every single time. You can't escape it, no matter who you are. And I've already discussed how much I just dislike Steve Kerr. I do not like him. I don't like what he did to Jordan Poole. I don't like what he did to Klay Thompson. I don't like what he did to Kaminga. And essentially, I mean, as much as KD played a part in what happened, I think that they brushed that shit under the rug with KD. And a lot of these things contribute to you being a non-confrontational, passive-aggressive type of dude. You've been winning a lot of championships on the backs of others, taking credit for it, as if you didn't go down and Luke Walton didn't step up and look just as good as you did coaching the same players and get a job. And then he went somewhere else and didn't show to be successful like he was with the same guys.

Speaker 3:
[106:20] I like Luke. I love Luke.

Speaker 6:
[106:21] Luke is cool.

Speaker 3:
[106:22] I love Luke.

Speaker 6:
[106:23] But Luke, ain't Luke when he coaches. It ain't Steph Curry and none of those guys. And I feel like Steve Kerr just got he got handed a bunch of shit that benefits his resume to have him acting like he don't need to coach young players. What coach can consider themselves good and can't coach guys who may have little discrepancies in their game that need coaching? You called a great coach, but you don't want to coach guys that need coaching. That's weird to me.

Speaker 3:
[106:52] I mean, he like, don't.

Speaker 2:
[106:55] Is it because he ain't got the patience?

Speaker 6:
[106:58] Good coaches have patience. Good coaches are good mentors. It's the first thing you gotta have.

Speaker 3:
[107:03] He don't want to self-harm mistakes too.

Speaker 6:
[107:05] He don't have no accountability?

Speaker 3:
[107:06] No accountability. Like putting, what's this, Pazinski is? Whatever his name is.

Speaker 6:
[107:10] Pazinski?

Speaker 3:
[107:11] Like you forcing that on us. Like, like you gotta, you forcing him to.

Speaker 8:
[107:15] Yeah, like what do you see?

Speaker 6:
[107:16] Like, do you see yourself?

Speaker 8:
[107:17] Like, like, like, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, do you see yourself getting this opportunity to be able to be like, I'm gonna show y'all this is good.

Speaker 6:
[107:23] I was just like this.

Speaker 8:
[107:25] Because you know, that could have been me with Mike.

Speaker 3:
[107:26] Come on, man.

Speaker 8:
[107:27] You know, that could have been me with, like, it's like one of them, like, man, like, it's like, it's like a me moment. Like, listen, man, we, listen, you got your me moment.

Speaker 3:
[107:36] Yeah.

Speaker 8:
[107:36] The me moment's right here with all these dreams. And doing what you gotta do.

Speaker 3:
[107:41] I think if they want KD back, Steve Kerr gotta be gone.

Speaker 2:
[107:44] Nah, that ain't happening.

Speaker 6:
[107:45] Steve's time is up, bro.

Speaker 3:
[107:47] You don't think they could get KD back? No.

Speaker 6:
[107:50] Steve's time up, bro. Steph's time up. Dray's time up.

Speaker 8:
[107:54] No.

Speaker 6:
[107:55] Everybody's time is up.

Speaker 8:
[107:57] No, I'm not giving up.

Speaker 6:
[107:57] Because you can't hide behind the bullshit that's been happening and not answering any of the questions that's there. What happened here? Hey, Steph, man, you ain't have no problem with the Jordan Poole thing. You ain't say shit, bro. What happened? He did say it. Bro. Hey, yo, bro. Yo, Splash brother got pushed out by a. What you call him? Sideshow Bob. Sideshow Bob came in and pushed your splash brother out.

Speaker 3:
[108:20] He do got to say something.

Speaker 6:
[108:21] Something. Hey, KD. Hey, listen, we didn't even have a team meeting about the shit Dre said about me. And we just sat around and looked at each other.

Speaker 2:
[108:30] Yeah, but you know, Steph's personality ain't like that though. So like that's not him though. Like that's not him to go out there and just talk about the organization or anything like that. That's not me.

Speaker 6:
[108:40] And I get that.

Speaker 2:
[108:41] So like that's not.

Speaker 6:
[108:42] But the backlash still comes on you because you sat there and watched it.

Speaker 2:
[108:46] I mean, I watched it or I didn't know what was happening and it got put on me and then I'm just answering the questions when they come to me.

Speaker 6:
[108:53] I'm here.

Speaker 3:
[108:53] But you can help with Jordan Poole mentally. Facts. Who? You can help with Jordan Poole. He ain't been the same since. Like, let's be real. You get punched in front of the world.

Speaker 8:
[109:02] In front of the world. So, I mean, like say some what, like he gotta come out publicly and make him feel better as a man or something. Or like how you know Steph ain't texting him behind the scenes?

Speaker 3:
[109:12] But that don't mean shit though.

Speaker 6:
[109:14] Like, why? Because the percentage.

Speaker 3:
[109:16] Because it happened publicly.

Speaker 8:
[109:17] Yeah.

Speaker 3:
[109:18] Yeah.

Speaker 8:
[109:18] Okay. So, publicly, I got to sit next to you and be like, hey, bro, you know what I'm saying? I'm sorry you got socked out. You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 3:
[109:26] Or like, nobody got socked. Before the cameras came out, they were like, it was just, they were just hard.

Speaker 6:
[109:30] Just an altercation.

Speaker 3:
[109:32] Nobody got socked. So, they all look crazy when they came out.

Speaker 6:
[109:35] They tried to hide it.

Speaker 3:
[109:36] Yeah, they tried to hide it.

Speaker 8:
[109:37] Okay, because we don't want this getting out. Okay, I'm trying to, okay, I'm trying out.

Speaker 6:
[109:41] Okay.

Speaker 8:
[109:42] Okay, it got out. Okay, so I got to do a press conference about some shit that I'm over here practicing and don't know what's going on. And then I got to be like, hey, man, you know, this and that.

Speaker 6:
[109:51] You wasn't there when homie was here and told us the whole story. So, the whole story goes, everyone knew what the fuck was going on. Not only did they know it was lingering, and Steve Kerr promoted it to be like, hey, stand up for yourself, young fella.

Speaker 8:
[110:06] Okay.

Speaker 6:
[110:06] Don't let this man just bully you.

Speaker 8:
[110:08] Okay.

Speaker 6:
[110:09] So now, as a man, so Steve promoted it, knocked the nigga out. Everybody knew he was going to get knocked out, because Dre don't play that shit. Man.

Speaker 8:
[110:18] So, Steve Kerr, everybody in there know that, all right, Draymond Green for the coming here and knocking him out today.

Speaker 3:
[110:22] But Steve Kerr don't like that type of cool attitude.

Speaker 6:
[110:25] That young talk back.

Speaker 3:
[110:27] Yeah, like cool.

Speaker 6:
[110:30] Steph could have been at least been like, hey, man, that shit that happened, man, that shit is not cool.

Speaker 3:
[110:35] Yeah.

Speaker 6:
[110:36] Say something.

Speaker 3:
[110:36] Say something.

Speaker 2:
[110:37] So he didn't say anything.

Speaker 6:
[110:38] He didn't say shit.

Speaker 3:
[110:39] Draymond, he was like.

Speaker 2:
[110:41] But the person, okay, so we blame Steph for not saying, but the person that did do something, he said something about and apologized in front of the whole world. So what's the problem?

Speaker 3:
[110:51] I'm not saying this.

Speaker 8:
[110:52] Because the person that did it, he the one that acknowledged the whole world and said, yo, this is my fault.

Speaker 3:
[110:58] Boom, boom, boom.

Speaker 8:
[110:59] So what the fuck, we need something out of Steph.

Speaker 6:
[111:01] Nah, because we should have called the authorities on this, first of all. The authority, we called the authorities on your ass, first of all.

Speaker 8:
[111:07] Okay, well then they should have, okay, well then he should have did it when he walked out.

Speaker 6:
[111:09] But this is your man, though. This is your man.

Speaker 3:
[111:11] He helped me win the championship.

Speaker 6:
[111:12] Steph, this is your man.

Speaker 8:
[111:14] That's a grown ass man with kids and a wife. What the you want to, like, he gon do what he wants.

Speaker 6:
[111:19] We on a team. We on a team together.

Speaker 8:
[111:21] Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, you don't think he said something to him? Like that, what if Steph wants to do a press conference with them two on one side of him in the middle? He wants to be fucking Don King?

Speaker 7:
[111:31] No.

Speaker 8:
[111:32] Like, is he a promoter?

Speaker 7:
[111:34] They didn't ask that man.

Speaker 3:
[111:37] Nothing happened, it was just talking and all that.

Speaker 6:
[111:40] That's exactly what happened. That's what Steph did.

Speaker 3:
[111:42] The team were talking. Okay, you talking about the first? I love Steph, but he do sometimes gotta talk. Like, step up for your teammates.

Speaker 6:
[111:52] Young fella.

Speaker 3:
[111:53] Young fella. Like, Draymond know he was wrong. He shouldn't hit him like that.

Speaker 6:
[111:57] You know, as a young player.

Speaker 3:
[111:58] You all seen it on tape. Young people always talking, you know, but you don't put your hands on him like that.

Speaker 6:
[112:05] That saves a lot.

Speaker 2:
[112:07] So you don't think he said that?

Speaker 8:
[112:08] Like, you don't think they had a meeting?

Speaker 2:
[112:09] You don't think they had any meeting and Steph just sat there and was just like, It was there that Steph let that shit ride off his shoulders.

Speaker 8:
[112:16] Steph let this shit, that don't even sound right. That sounds fucking crazy.

Speaker 3:
[112:21] When they asked you, and I know they asked them. Okay.

Speaker 8:
[112:26] So before the video came out, they asked them?

Speaker 3:
[112:28] Yeah.

Speaker 8:
[112:29] So this is before. Okay, so now as a leader, I'm a protector.

Speaker 2:
[112:32] Nah, man, you know, it was nothing.

Speaker 8:
[112:33] We didn't think the video would come out.

Speaker 6:
[112:35] But they didn't ask them no more after that, though. When the shit came out. You know why they didn't ask them? Why? Don't ask Steph.

Speaker 8:
[112:41] I ain't got nothing to do with this. Listen, the guy who hit him, he already apologized in front of the whole world. What you want me to do? I'm supposed to be Captain Sabre. What the fuck is this? I've been saving this franchise. This franchise is worth $10 billion.

Speaker 2:
[112:54] Hit him.

Speaker 8:
[112:55] That ain't got shit to do with me.

Speaker 3:
[112:56] Talk to Draymond. They owe me. He could have still been there doing the same thing.

Speaker 2:
[113:01] Who?

Speaker 3:
[113:01] Doing who?

Speaker 8:
[113:02] They should have never traded Clay.

Speaker 3:
[113:05] That's the problem.

Speaker 1:
[113:05] Speak up for Clay. Let Clay go.

Speaker 6:
[113:07] You ain't speak up for Clay.

Speaker 8:
[113:08] How do we know this?

Speaker 6:
[113:09] We know, because it ain't on wax.

Speaker 7:
[113:10] We can't pull it up. We can't pull it up.

Speaker 1:
[113:13] I think Clay told Staley's Court in the reports that, nah, whatever they're going to do, they're going to do. I don't need you to speak up.

Speaker 8:
[113:18] So they had a conversation. Why do y'all want him to sit in the press conference and answer all these goddamn questions?

Speaker 6:
[113:23] Because you're burning my fucking house down. You're burning my house down. Steve Kerr, you're burning my house down.

Speaker 3:
[113:29] We've seen the greats do it. We've seen the greats do it. We've seen them speak up for Pippen and Rodman and all them. Kobe. We've seen everything.

Speaker 8:
[113:39] So you think Jordan has went out there and talked about stuff that happened inside to the public?

Speaker 6:
[113:43] Yep, because they asked him about Dennis Rodman.

Speaker 1:
[113:45] I believe a 10-part series.

Speaker 3:
[113:48] Yes.

Speaker 6:
[113:48] OK, the last day.

Speaker 8:
[113:50] OK. So with that being said, can we wait for the documentary then?

Speaker 6:
[113:57] No.

Speaker 8:
[113:58] Well, we got to know now.

Speaker 7:
[113:59] Let's just wait for the documentary.

Speaker 3:
[114:00] I just want to hoop shit like KD. I just want to hoop.

Speaker 6:
[114:04] I don't want to be the leader.

Speaker 3:
[114:05] I just want to hoop shit.

Speaker 8:
[114:06] But how do we know that? OK, so Steph, did Steph say anything when he was there when y'all played together? Like when y'all was going on this championship run, did he say anything? Like, or was he just, OK?

Speaker 3:
[114:16] Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:
[114:17] OK.

Speaker 3:
[114:18] But like, when KD got caught with the burner account.

Speaker 2:
[114:23] OK.

Speaker 3:
[114:24] It was like awkward for like a week or so, because nobody said nothing. Like, you just walk in there.

Speaker 2:
[114:30] Wait, the burner account happened with the Warriors?

Speaker 3:
[114:32] Yeah.

Speaker 8:
[114:33] OK, so that was the first time.

Speaker 3:
[114:34] Yeah.

Speaker 2:
[114:36] OK.

Speaker 3:
[114:36] But he wasn't talking about nobody on the team, but it's just like, damn, he got a burner account. It was everywhere. OK. And in the locker room was just quiet, you know?

Speaker 2:
[114:45] OK.

Speaker 3:
[114:45] That type of shit like, like, man, like, fuck.

Speaker 8:
[114:48] Say something.

Speaker 3:
[114:48] OK. It takes me to be like.

Speaker 8:
[114:50] I mean, it's just in your head. You're like, well, he got a burner. I know he talking about me. Yeah, I know he's I know he going crazy on me.

Speaker 3:
[114:56] Somebody got to say something.

Speaker 6:
[114:57] Somebody say, what's up with that burner?

Speaker 8:
[115:00] So you want Steph to say something?

Speaker 3:
[115:01] No, I'm just saying something.

Speaker 8:
[115:02] I mean, Draymond probably said something, right? So there it is.

Speaker 6:
[115:06] Well, Draymond said plenty, didn't he? Is he the reason why the left?

Speaker 1:
[115:09] He does have a podcast that is very well viewed and subscribed to.

Speaker 6:
[115:13] It's just calm. That's all I'm just saying. It's just, hey, you can't go around throwing shit around, punching niggas around, moving around without your ass moving around, too. You can't hold a down without being down with them. Come on, man.

Speaker 2:
[115:28] But what I can say about their dynasty is that they did, they have shown that a dynasty like them can win by shooting a jumper. You know what I'm saying? They changed the game for sure. It was a positionless team. They also shown that being unselfish and moving a ball, you can beat any defense team. That's a great defensive team. The three-point line, as you see, is what they've done with the three-point line is a copycat lead. If we look at Boston, as many threes that they shoot. So, with their dynasty, they definitely have shown the level of champions and they actually have changed the game because the game was taught to us, throw the ball inside to the big man, play inside and out, but they just played a round of three-point line and they were successful.

Speaker 6:
[116:20] Shout out to Mark Jackson for seeing it, for what it was. Shout out to Mark, being able to see the Splash Brothers for what they were. It's a good thing, man.

Speaker 3:
[116:29] But, I'm with that. I'm with that. I love what Mark Jackson did, but you can't say that if one person took them over to the hump, too. Just like when we say with Chauncey Billers got Portland, but this year with Buffa Carter, they're in the first round of the playoffs and they got an all-star. Like, Steve Kerr did bring his offense.

Speaker 1:
[116:53] Chauncey Billers, I think, coached the first game of the season before the federal gambling probe. So this more or less was his team before Tiago Splitter took over.

Speaker 3:
[117:00] And the same people held it down. What was different?

Speaker 6:
[117:07] One wasn't winning.

Speaker 3:
[117:09] They won a championship.

Speaker 6:
[117:11] It's about Chauncey.

Speaker 3:
[117:12] But-

Speaker 6:
[117:13] There was a big difference in that.

Speaker 3:
[117:16] Losing in the first round, second round, winning a championship is a big difference, too.

Speaker 6:
[117:20] Bro, you talking about the Warriors?

Speaker 3:
[117:22] Yeah. That's a big difference. Yeah, that's a hell of a difference.

Speaker 6:
[117:26] Your talent pool, what you did from when you were actually establishing these guys' confidence and getting them to believe that they can do this together.

Speaker 3:
[117:34] And all that got you to lose in the playoffs.

Speaker 6:
[117:36] Yeah, because we building something. And you fire me and you hand off what we're building to someone else. And then they just take what I built and they go to the races.

Speaker 3:
[117:46] Fire that person if you believe he was going to take you over there, huh?

Speaker 6:
[117:50] Yeah, you firing because he was on the corner preaching and shit.

Speaker 1:
[117:54] Spreading the gospel.

Speaker 6:
[117:55] Yeah, man, they didn't like that. Steve Kerr is in the crib knitting, knitting sweaters and stuff.

Speaker 1:
[118:00] No Bibles in his house.

Speaker 3:
[118:01] Steph loves preaching.

Speaker 7:
[118:04] Yeah, not that much. Not that much.

Speaker 3:
[118:05] Yes, he do.

Speaker 7:
[118:06] Not that much.

Speaker 6:
[118:08] Not that much. You see, I watch you on YouTube, but I ain't going to show up to the God damn congregation, I can't be there with you. But I watch.

Speaker 3:
[118:16] I watch.

Speaker 7:
[118:18] That's Steph right there.

Speaker 1:
[118:20] So Steph has said obviously he wants to play at least a few more years since he has a lot left in the tank, but also said it's going to be a busy off season for this Warriors squad moving forward. Draymond also acknowledged that this could be the end of the road for him as well with this Warriors team as they look to make some moves. Still obviously got Jimmy Butler coming back next season. Steph, Draymond under contract, but our reports that they're trying to bring in a superstar level player, Giannis' name has been thrown around in that mix up.

Speaker 2:
[118:48] Steph can sign for two years 134, I mean 137.

Speaker 3:
[118:53] Where?

Speaker 2:
[118:54] Steph Curry. I think this summer, right? He can sign an extension, which means that he'll be making 66 million at 38, 39 and then 71 at 40 on the way out.

Speaker 3:
[119:04] Well deserved.

Speaker 1:
[119:06] Small price to play.

Speaker 3:
[119:06] What you did to both.

Speaker 1:
[119:08] $10 billion franchise now.

Speaker 3:
[119:09] It's still giving them five statues.

Speaker 1:
[119:12] Five whole statues. All life can do.

Speaker 3:
[119:14] No, he need more.

Speaker 2:
[119:15] One is enough.

Speaker 1:
[119:16] Just give him 30 if you want to.

Speaker 3:
[119:18] What was Oakland?

Speaker 6:
[119:19] Give him 30.

Speaker 3:
[119:21] What was Oakland before? What was the Warriors before Steph?

Speaker 2:
[119:26] I mean, shit, they were still exciting to watch. But Baron Davis and they were still... Monte Ellis.

Speaker 8:
[119:31] I'm about to say the Monte Ellis era. Monte was...

Speaker 3:
[119:35] You'll see them.

Speaker 8:
[119:36] No, I'm just saying they...

Speaker 3:
[119:37] You'll see them, but they wasn't...

Speaker 8:
[119:39] No, no, not on that level, but...

Speaker 6:
[119:40] You didn't really watch Monte. Boy, Monte was something different, boy.

Speaker 3:
[119:44] Did he win you four championships?

Speaker 6:
[119:46] Yeah, he didn't win him by himself.

Speaker 3:
[119:49] All of them, meanwhile.

Speaker 1:
[119:50] Also, exciting to watch them fight on computers.

Speaker 3:
[119:53] Together.

Speaker 1:
[119:54] All right, well, let's keep this thing moving. Let's wrap up today with our playoff picks.

Speaker 3:
[119:58] Oh, shit.

Speaker 9:
[119:59] Throughout the postseason, we will be making team picks using Underdog's prediction markets, which you can do as well. Keep a leaderboard of the couches picks throughout the entire playoffs. Let's take a look at the updated standings.

Speaker 1:
[120:11] No, I'm not going by this.

Speaker 9:
[120:13] So.

Speaker 2:
[120:14] Oh, look at Swaggy down there.

Speaker 9:
[120:17] Shai, you've currently jumped up into the top spot, six and five record so far.

Speaker 2:
[120:21] Who y'all pick yesterday? Watch out for this weekend. I'm going to be number one.

Speaker 9:
[120:24] We'll be coming back on this couch on Tuesday.

Speaker 2:
[120:25] I'm going to be number one.

Speaker 9:
[120:26] Gil in second place, two and two.

Speaker 1:
[120:27] Who y'all pick yesterday?

Speaker 9:
[120:29] Mr. B and Kenyon, both in third place, four and five.

Speaker 1:
[120:31] Both winners.

Speaker 9:
[120:32] Swaggy, currently two and seven.

Speaker 1:
[120:33] I'm three and seven. I'm three and seven.

Speaker 2:
[120:35] Man, look at Gil. Damn, Gil. Shhh, trash. Nasty down there.

Speaker 9:
[120:41] Actually has a better record than you were saying, Kersley.

Speaker 1:
[120:45] How am I going to deal with Gil doing? I ain't going to pick nothing.

Speaker 2:
[120:50] So, you're going to leave it two and seven? That's nasty.

Speaker 1:
[120:53] Eventually, y'all all will be with me.

Speaker 9:
[120:55] Swaggy said he will abstain, but we have three games.

Speaker 2:
[120:58] We have three games tonight.

Speaker 9:
[120:58] You got a chance to give me.

Speaker 2:
[120:59] You could be five and seven.

Speaker 1:
[121:00] Massive game three and Landon Lewis. You could.

Speaker 9:
[121:02] They took a game away from me.

Speaker 1:
[121:03] I picked Orlando over Hornet. That was your one win, bro.

Speaker 9:
[121:08] But the Underdog has received your protest, currently reviewing and taking it to an independent arbitrator.

Speaker 1:
[121:13] Thank you. How long has that happened?

Speaker 9:
[121:16] To review the film. Three big games tonight. Game three in Atlanta, where the Knicks look to avenge their game two collapse. Almost split down the middle as New York has a 52% chance to win. Hawks are at 49% according to prediction market. I will start with you. Who was taking the series lead in the Hawks-Knicks playoff matchup?

Speaker 1:
[121:40] First game in Atlanta. I'm going to go with Atlanta. I think CJ has figured something out that he didn't see in game one. I don't think he's seen that. I think he's seen it in game two. Jalen Brunson don't want them problems. And I think Dyson Daniels can hold off Jalen Brunson a little bit. I'm going with Atlanta.

Speaker 9:
[122:01] Well, how about yourself? Are you going to abstain or are you going to actually give a pick? Let's move on to Mr. B first.

Speaker 2:
[122:07] New York Knicks. All you got to do is give Kat the ball. Last game he only touched the ball two times in the goddamn fourth quarter. So, I'm going with the Knicks. Jordan Clarkson.

Speaker 9:
[122:19] Swaggy, would you like to give a pick in this game?

Speaker 1:
[122:21] Don't copy me either.

Speaker 2:
[122:23] I'm going with the Knicks. We are the New York Knicks. After they ask me to take in the strippers tonight. We are the New York Knicks.

Speaker 1:
[122:33] What you mean? Taking they ass with the thumbs up? You're going to thumb thumbs up.

Speaker 2:
[122:37] After we whooped they ass, we take they ass.

Speaker 9:
[122:41] Let's move on. So, a must win game tonight for the Raptors. They try to avoid a 3-0 series deficit in Toronto against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cavs have won both games by double digits.

Speaker 1:
[122:50] Cleveland.

Speaker 9:
[122:50] 58% chance to go up 3-0. Raptors are 43% chance to get back into the series. Let's see, Shai, who are you taking? Cleveland.

Speaker 1:
[122:56] Cleveland.

Speaker 9:
[122:58] Mr. B?

Speaker 2:
[122:58] Cleveland. Bone Thugs in Harmony. 1999.

Speaker 9:
[123:01] Bone, bone, bone, bone.

Speaker 2:
[123:03] It's the first of the month. Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up. Hey, Cleveland. Yeah, we all got Cleveland.

Speaker 9:
[123:10] Bone Thugs in Harmony.

Speaker 1:
[123:12] Hurts my heart.

Speaker 9:
[123:12] Bizzy Bone, Lazy Bone, Wish.

Speaker 1:
[123:14] It's fucking Cleveland.

Speaker 2:
[123:16] Now, this third game.

Speaker 9:
[123:19] So, let's move on to the last game on this last night. Maybe the best series so far. Minnesota. In the Nuggets tonight.

Speaker 1:
[123:28] We're at Minnesota.

Speaker 9:
[123:29] Jamie Daniels been talking cash.

Speaker 1:
[123:32] Oh, Ant-Man, I got Minnesota.

Speaker 9:
[123:34] Team Split, first two games. So, Swaggy, you're going with Minnesota. Mr. B, who you taking?

Speaker 2:
[123:42] I got Denver, dog. I'm going Denver, I'm going Yolkich.

Speaker 9:
[123:46] Denver, Wolves, Shai, last but not least.

Speaker 1:
[123:50] AG in the building tonight. That's tough. Who you got, Joe?

Speaker 9:
[123:55] Shai, as you know, I'm not allowed to get my opinion on the show, merely host. I don't know. I think JB. Adams might have put his team in a bad spot, running his mouth like that. But this team does have the character of AMN., KG., like you said, has returned to Minnesota. I don't know, though. I think Yolkish might have to burst some babies tonight, just for my own good. I don't know. I'm going to say Nuggets, but I don't believe it with my full heart, but I will say it.

Speaker 1:
[124:19] I'm going with Minnesota.

Speaker 9:
[124:21] See?

Speaker 1:
[124:21] At home.

Speaker 2:
[124:23] Hey, since we're doing a leaderboard, I think Underdogs should give us whoever come in first place, like five grand in underdog money, like every round.

Speaker 1:
[124:31] Twenty.

Speaker 2:
[124:33] I'm saying. No, I'm just saying every round. So like the first round, right? So the first round, every round. No, not every round. No, every round. Yes.

Speaker 9:
[124:41] Twenty dollars.

Speaker 2:
[124:42] No, listen, every round.

Speaker 1:
[124:44] Oh, I see why. Because you ain't got a chance.

Speaker 2:
[124:47] Oh, okay. Okay. Anyways, I think we should do every round, every round of the playoffs, first round, second round, and then five grand, whoever get the first round right. The second round, five grand. The NBA Finals, 10 grand, whatever.

Speaker 1:
[125:04] I'll see you at the top of the leaderboard.

Speaker 2:
[125:06] Then you got to put your picks in the chat, even if you haven't been on the show. So that's on you.

Speaker 1:
[125:09] Yeah, that's what they should do too.

Speaker 2:
[125:11] No, that's on you.

Speaker 9:
[125:12] So we will talk to Underdog.

Speaker 2:
[125:13] I'm just saying, man, you know, or 10 grand, don't matter, you know.

Speaker 9:
[125:16] To break bread. Underdog, if you heard Mr. B break bread, never would have said it.

Speaker 2:
[125:19] First round, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 9:
[125:21] On that note.

Speaker 2:
[125:22] Wait, wait, wait. And tell MK if he want to play for one-on-one for work.

Speaker 1:
[125:26] Who is MK?

Speaker 2:
[125:26] Who is this MK dude? The dude who be going around different countries, like talking, playing, bouncing the ball everywhere. They be whooping, they be fighting and stuff. Yeah, man, yeah. Who is that?

Speaker 1:
[125:36] Who is that?

Speaker 2:
[125:37] Some content creator dude who trash as hell, who weak as hell, be going around talking shit. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, throwing the ball people head.

Speaker 1:
[125:45] Throwing different parts. Yeah, I'm hearing a lot of this YouTube basketball shit. Yeah, yeah, he get his...

Speaker 2:
[125:51] Yeah, he called out Isaiah Thomas. He called out a little... Yeah, I didn't like that. Yeah, talking about IT, talking about he didn't have his shoes and he was scared ducking. Man, go make your little video.

Speaker 9:
[126:00] Oh, IT said one of the pictures was a fan.

Speaker 1:
[126:01] Y'all want to play three on three against some of the best one on one.

Speaker 2:
[126:04] Listen, I'll tell you one thing. One of them, look, he throw the ball off my head. There ain't gonna be no three on three.

Speaker 1:
[126:08] I'm undefeated, man. I'm saying.

Speaker 2:
[126:10] Listen, he throw the ball off my head. There ain't gonna be no three on three.

Speaker 9:
[126:12] Any hosts out there that want to go one on one and have a host off?

Speaker 1:
[126:16] Gas chambers smell like pine oil.

Speaker 9:
[126:18] I can host with the best of them.

Speaker 1:
[126:19] And I foul hard.

Speaker 9:
[126:20] Keith Sierras, whatever you hit. Whatever you be hosted.

Speaker 2:
[126:24] Weak ass. He's sorry.

Speaker 1:
[126:25] Man.

Speaker 2:
[126:26] Sorry as hell.

Speaker 9:
[126:27] But on that note, shout out to everybody in the chat. Shout out to everybody on this couch. Some exciting playoff basketball tonight. Make sure you tune in. We will see what the updated leaderboards look like when we come back to the arena next week. But this has been another episode of Gils Arena, presented by Underdog. We'll see y'all next week.
