Speaker 1:
[00:00] Justin Bieber on Kiis-Fm. So you saw that Justin obviously did his two shows at Coachella. They paid him 10 million bucks as his fee, and then he went over by two minutes, and he was fined $10,000 each time he went over. I mean, I'm sure he didn't care.
Speaker 2:
[00:17] It's an expensive minute.
Speaker 1:
[00:18] But I wonder how many people get charged a fine by not hitting their time, and how disciplined is Coachella?
Speaker 3:
[00:26] Yeah, the city.
Speaker 2:
[00:27] There was a bunch. It was like $44,000, I think, in fines for just weekend two.
Speaker 1:
[00:33] Yeah, you do not. I mean, how about the fact they're out there tining it to the minute?
Speaker 3:
[00:37] Do you want to know something cute?
Speaker 1:
[00:39] I want to know everything cute in this world, including Strawberry Shortcake's story.
Speaker 3:
[00:43] You might like it too.
Speaker 1:
[00:45] Mark, did you get a kick out of that? Yeah, I really did.
Speaker 3:
[00:48] Strawberry Shortcake reference is great.
Speaker 1:
[00:50] Yeah, the Strawberry Shortcake.
Speaker 3:
[00:51] I always want to know the history.
Speaker 1:
[00:52] No, I know. But Mark chuckled. Anyway, if one person connects with me, it's worth it. Go ahead.
Speaker 3:
[00:59] I think that you can use this Halloween costume for yourself, but Billie Eilish and Justin Bieber from Coachella Weekend too.
Speaker 1:
[01:06] I'm just trying to figure out why we're talking about Halloween.
Speaker 3:
[01:09] It's never too early to start planning. We're already at summer and then after summer is Halloween.
Speaker 1:
[01:15] Can you just come back to me on that?
Speaker 2:
[01:16] Summer's in two months.
Speaker 3:
[01:17] But wouldn't you like that? I feel like you would love that costume.
Speaker 1:
[01:21] I'm Justin Bieber?
Speaker 3:
[01:22] Yeah, and then you just have to find your Billie.
Speaker 2:
[01:26] I'll be your Billie.
Speaker 1:
[01:28] Okay, fine.
Speaker 4:
[01:29] It's solved.
Speaker 1:
[01:31] What do I do to dress up like Justin Bieber? I have to take my shirt off.
Speaker 3:
[01:33] Where would he wear though? He was clothed all Coachella. He had a red hoodie.
Speaker 1:
[01:38] I'm sorry, with no sleeves.
Speaker 3:
[01:40] Yeah, no sleeves and he had shorts and then he had like...
Speaker 1:
[01:42] That's almost naked.
Speaker 3:
[01:43] He had like a... What's the color? Beige boots.
Speaker 1:
[01:47] I think, Sisanie, your hair is the same color as Billie Eilish right now. Let's go. So you're good. I just need to find a vest with no sleeves and draw some tattoos and get a beanie.
Speaker 3:
[01:55] And like some cool sunglasses and a beanie.
Speaker 1:
[01:58] That would be so embarrassing. It might work. It'd be so embarrassing. It might actually work.
Speaker 3:
[02:07] I'm down. I like it.
Speaker 1:
[02:09] We have EJ out in bellflower with free gas. Got Ryan's Roses this morning. Got somber tickets. All right, kids, Ryan's Roses coming up. She just found out about something from the beginning of their relationship. They've since been married three years, and she claims that information changes everything after three years. What is that? What happened? 740. It's a public service. Trying to get to the bottom of it. Ryan's Roses. So there's a potential scam. Another scam. I am convinced that every... I'm not convinced. I just have a rule with myself. And I'm very disciplined at this. If any text message comes in with a phone number I don't recognize and says, you in town?
Speaker 3:
[02:48] Scam.
Speaker 1:
[02:49] Or looking for... still looking for a job? Or what? I'm like...
Speaker 3:
[02:54] I already knew getting that text message is so good.
Speaker 2:
[02:57] That one you'd probably click on.
Speaker 1:
[03:02] But I'm like, what kind of bot are you? Looking for a job? No, I'm not looking for one. Not today. But, you know, the scams are everywhere. Now there's a FedEx scam, we think, and maybe, Tanya, you fell for this. We don't know. Sisanie, what is it?
Speaker 2:
[03:17] So we think, okay, so this one's not even a text message. It is actual mail that gets mailed to your house.
Speaker 3:
[03:22] Yeah, like paper. Sure.
Speaker 2:
[03:24] And it comes in an envelope and it looks legit. It has the FedEx logo on it, all the things. When you open it, it looks, it's like the fedex.com website. And it tells you, you have a bill for $5 that you owe FedEx for some sort of overseas tax.
Speaker 5:
[03:40] No, that already sounds, there's no way.
Speaker 2:
[03:43] Wait a minute. And they have pictures of the invoice. You have like three different invoices on this, like four sheets of paper that are mailed. And it's like, Michael's was like a male's black satin jacket. And mine was something else, also satin.
Speaker 1:
[03:57] And we're celebrating the release of the Michael Jackson movie.
Speaker 2:
[03:59] I have no idea. Although I am going to go see it. Anyways, yeah, so it's so weird. And I too, Tanya was going to fall for it and pay for it. And Michael said, don't pay for it. It's a scam. And they keep sending it every month.
Speaker 3:
[04:08] Every month. Same thing. Mine was legit. So you should really check it out.
Speaker 1:
[04:12] No, it's not.
Speaker 3:
[04:14] It was. And I paid the $4.11 to FedEx, to like the actual FedEx website.
Speaker 1:
[04:20] Are you sure it went to FedEx?
Speaker 3:
[04:21] Yes. We didn't click the link in the mail that they sent us. We didn't do any of that. We called the actual consumer product, whatever, of FedEx.
Speaker 1:
[04:30] Unless they rerouted the call, the scammers, to make you think it was. And now the scammers have your credit card number, which could be the case.
Speaker 2:
[04:36] Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
Speaker 1:
[04:37] Thing is, if anybody reaches out and asks for something and you don't know it's coming, I think you just take a beat.
Speaker 2:
[04:41] Also, I didn't order this. I didn't buy this. I don't have this.
Speaker 1:
[04:43] I did not ask for this satin gold jacket.
Speaker 3:
[04:47] See, mine was from a tax of something that I did purchase. And it had like the day that I purchased it, when I arrived to my house.
Speaker 1:
[04:53] We won't think less of you if you fell for a scam. It's not to be so defendable.
Speaker 3:
[04:58] I have fallen for so many scams. I've been scammed a bunch, which is why I've been like so...
Speaker 2:
[05:03] You're like my dad, you just pay everything that comes in the mail.
Speaker 1:
[05:07] You've released cortisol in Necessary this morning, and I apologize. I'm actually pretty excited. On Monday, American Idol, if you're following along on social or watching the show, the contestants, many of which are dudes, will be singing the songbook, the catalog of Taylor Swift, which we just announced. So that's kind of exciting. And there's some other Taylor Swift buzz on Reddit about... So I guess, and Sisanie, you went deep on this, but originally Taylor said that some of these tracks from The Vault would not be released.
Speaker 2:
[05:41] As early as back in October, she said something along the lines that it wasn't coming anytime soon, is what she said back in October.
Speaker 1:
[05:47] Not on her mind. Just put them aside. Don't think about it to the fans. But now fans have conjured up this theory that maybe they are coming out after she said not so soon. What's happening?
Speaker 2:
[05:57] Well, not so soon back in October. And then when they actually, the theory of when they will be released does check out because that is not so soon back when she said it. And now it's coming up.
Speaker 1:
[06:07] Depends on your definition of soon.
Speaker 2:
[06:08] Thank you very much. So Swifties on Reddit are going crazy with this theory, saying that she is going to release vault tracks from the Reputation album just in time before her wedding this summer. So they're saying the wedding is rumored to happen before Kelsey goes back to training camp. Okay, Kelsey, Travis Kelsey.
Speaker 3:
[06:27] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[06:28] I know.
Speaker 3:
[06:29] It's weird to hear Kelsey.
Speaker 1:
[06:30] I don't know why.
Speaker 3:
[06:31] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[06:31] I'm the same.
Speaker 3:
[06:33] It's like Taylor and Travis.
Speaker 1:
[06:34] Yeah. I don't know. Swift and Kelsey doesn't make it. It doesn't ring to me. I get confused.
Speaker 2:
[06:39] Okay. So the wedding is going to happen, obviously. They think before he goes back to training camp and that kicks off in late July. So whether it's going to be that July 3rd date that everybody's tossing around.
Speaker 3:
[06:49] Maybe 100% it's that July 3rd date.
Speaker 2:
[06:52] So it's 100% based on what Tanya is saying.
Speaker 1:
[06:55] And Tanya has no knowledge of anything whatsoever to see.
Speaker 3:
[06:57] Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just glib. It's the internet. None of us, this is the thing.
Speaker 2:
[07:01] None of us have knowledge. These are all rumors. They're all rumors.
Speaker 1:
[07:05] I would go even further. It's safe to say many times when we report some of these things in pop culture, we don't have knowledge of them. We're just looking at what people are buzzing about.
Speaker 2:
[07:13] We're buzzing with them in theory because obviously we want all the things Taylor that she can give us and wants to give us and then just this morning I saw another theory that it won't be all tracks that will be released before the wedding, that it will actually be an entire new album.
Speaker 3:
[07:28] That's crazy.
Speaker 2:
[07:29] That is crazy.
Speaker 1:
[07:30] How in the world can one have the capacity to do so much? I mean, I'm saying that, but like, in creatively.
Speaker 3:
[07:38] Maybe.
Speaker 1:
[07:38] Creatively.
Speaker 3:
[07:39] Creatively.
Speaker 6:
[07:40] Creatively.
Speaker 1:
[07:42] It's non-negotiable.
Speaker 3:
[07:44] I want to backtrack that because I still have a little hope that it's June 13th. The wedding. The wedding.
Speaker 1:
[07:49] Got it. Well, I mean, only the calendar will tell once we take off the days.
Speaker 2:
[07:53] We wait and we wait.
Speaker 1:
[07:54] We wait and we wait. All right. I got a quote of the day next, and the item you should not put in the bin at TSA. You don't want to do this if you're traveling today. So listen, TSA lines are long and you're in a hurry, and many times you're just trying to get on schedule, so you throw everything in the bin before you go through the machine. And they're saying, experts say, never throw your earbuds in the bin because they're made of plastic and rubber. So whatever gets on them stays on them, and it enters you through your ear. I never thought about it, and I'm wearing them now.
Speaker 2:
[08:33] I know.
Speaker 1:
[08:34] I'm taking them in, I'm taking them out, and I'm wondering, tubs, not to put you on the spot, and not that you're responsible for cleaning our ear buds here, because we're all wearing little ear buds.
Speaker 2:
[08:45] And I have an ear infection currently, right now. Is it from this?
Speaker 1:
[08:52] Tubbs, when was the last time, to be honest, I know you've been distracted with your wedding, when was the last time you cleaned Sisanie's ear buds? Well, those are her personal ear buds, so I don't see that I should be cleaning their personal ear buds. So I leave mine in here, I do not take them in my pocket at the end. When was the last time you doused these with some Lysol?
Speaker 7:
[09:14] It might have been a while.
Speaker 3:
[09:16] In Tubbs' defense.
Speaker 1:
[09:18] Oh, gosh. It's like another episode of that.
Speaker 3:
[09:21] When are you taking those to the airport and putting them in the TSA bucket?
Speaker 1:
[09:25] Which one, these?
Speaker 3:
[09:25] That's on you, yeah.
Speaker 1:
[09:27] What do you mean, it's on me, it's on him. He should be cleaning them. He's supposed to clean all the equipment.
Speaker 3:
[09:31] We shouldn't be putting them in the TSA buckets.
Speaker 1:
[09:34] Why are you taking it back to the original story? I'm trying to blame tubs for something.
Speaker 3:
[09:36] I'm trying to take the blame off tubs.
Speaker 1:
[09:38] All right. Well, I'm going to give you a quote. We're all going to move forward in life. Today's quote.
Speaker 2:
[09:49] Oh my gosh. Well, the new LAX People Mover is now in its testing phase, operating on a full schedule to prove the system is ready for the public. A wildlife alert at Runyon Canyon is warning hikers about sick and dying squirrels and urging people to keep their distance and leash their dogs. The LA City Council authorized $9.5 million to repair sidewalks near the venues for the 2028 Olympics. And Ticketmaster says they are releasing more tickets to Harry Styles' 30 shows at Madison Square Garden after reclaiming them scalpers. They go on sale next Thursday.
Speaker 1:
[10:35] 102.7 Kiis-Fm.
Speaker 2:
[10:38] By the way, Ryan, I met Akon the other day.
Speaker 1:
[10:42] You met Akon?
Speaker 2:
[10:43] He was in here in the building and we got to chatting and he had only the nicest things to say about you and your mom.
Speaker 1:
[10:53] Okay, so tell me.
Speaker 2:
[10:54] Because they were neighbors, right?
Speaker 1:
[10:56] Well, so yeah, Akon moved into the house next door to my parents in Atlanta and they got invited to a party at his house and my mom and dad called and they're like, should we go? Should we not go?
Speaker 2:
[11:06] Oh, and there was multiple times even when just when he was having his own parties and maybe he didn't even invite your mom to. She would stop by with cookies and stuff and he's like, and we're all hanging out. We just have the girls over. And there's Ryan's mom with a tray of cookies.
Speaker 1:
[11:20] Did he talk about the cars? He would drive by my mom taking a walk and offer to take her to the mall.
Speaker 2:
[11:24] He didn't, but I told him that he needs to stop by and visit because obviously you guys have a lot to catch up on.
Speaker 1:
[11:30] Akon, a legend in my mom's mind.
Speaker 2:
[11:32] I know.
Speaker 1:
[11:34] You didn't know that there was a collab with Connie and Akon.
Speaker 2:
[11:37] No.
Speaker 1:
[11:37] You knew about the SmackDown with Eminem, but you didn't know about Akon and Connie. Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[11:42] All right.
Speaker 1:
[11:42] I'm so happy. Yeah. Akon, if you or your people are listening, let's go. We got to rehash. You got to relive those moments, the memories. Oh, and forget it. He'd drive down the street. My mom would be on her walk and he'd be going sometimes to the mall and he'd offer my mom a ride to Perimeter Mall. The mall around the corner. She wanted to go. Can you imagine she rolls up? I think he had the car with the doors on the flip up or something. Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[12:05] That was before anybody had those.
Speaker 1:
[12:07] All right. So, now it's Bellflower. EJ, at what gas station are you in Bellflower?
Speaker 8:
[12:14] So, we are at the ARCO and we are here with Cindy from Bellflower. She would say how random this is. Cindy, say hi to Ryan. Hi, Ryan. How are you?
Speaker 1:
[12:23] I'm good. Cindy, you didn't think you'd be talking to me at the ARCO on Alondra and Woodruff this morning? What do you mean so random?
Speaker 7:
[12:29] Never, ever. Absolutely never. This is like a dream come true.
Speaker 9:
[12:35] I live with you every morning.
Speaker 1:
[12:37] Thank you. Tell me what it is that's happening in your life because we're about to fill up your tank full of gas.
Speaker 7:
[12:44] Okay. I actually have been a struggling artist. I'm an author. I just wrote a book last year. We were at LA Festival of Books. It's just a little tough trying to get from day to day. This is truly a blessing, unexpected, and I'm just really grateful for you guys right now.
Speaker 1:
[13:09] Well, thank you. I was just talking about that book festival before we went into the weekend. Yeah, it's a big deal. Congratulations on being there.
Speaker 7:
[13:17] Thank you.
Speaker 1:
[13:18] What's your book about? Let's plug your book.
Speaker 7:
[13:20] Sure. Absolutely. The name is Pedals of Purpose. It is a book about how to bridge your gardening hobbies with your mental health, to help you with grounding with mental health services, like people that have depression, anxiety, things like that, just to ground you, center you and give you a focus for a purpose bigger than just what's going on around you. Love that.
Speaker 1:
[13:48] Pedals of Purpose. It's like you were meant to be on our show today.
Speaker 6:
[13:52] Talk about this.
Speaker 1:
[13:54] We definitely advocate that idea. Where do you get the book?
Speaker 7:
[13:58] You can find me on Instagram. It's craftingwcindy. I have a website and it's also available on Amazon and Barnes and Nobles.
Speaker 1:
[14:07] You must be Cindy Hernandez, are you?
Speaker 7:
[14:10] Yes.
Speaker 1:
[14:12] I'm just looking you up. I can't. This is so cool. I didn't even know you were going to be Diarco this morning in Belfour. Now I'm looking at you. Cindy Hernandez, the author.
Speaker 7:
[14:21] Yes. Thank you.
Speaker 1:
[14:23] Trees. I'm all about the trees. I love being around trees.
Speaker 7:
[14:27] Oh, that's amazing.
Speaker 1:
[14:29] Well, get your tank filled up. EJ is going to take care of that. Good luck with the book and thank you very much for doing what you're doing, helping others.
Speaker 7:
[14:36] Thank you so much. Absolutely. Have a good day.
Speaker 1:
[14:38] You too. She's a writer and a poet. I'm looking at your book festival promo.
Speaker 7:
[14:43] I love that.
Speaker 1:
[14:45] EJ, I got good news and EJ, I got good news and bad news.
Speaker 8:
[14:48] No. That's the only good news.
Speaker 1:
[14:50] The good news is I really want you to meet everybody going to every gas station. There's so much fun to get to know, so you may be working a little bit more than you thought.
Speaker 4:
[15:00] What's the bad news?
Speaker 8:
[15:01] Working more than I thought?
Speaker 1:
[15:03] Yeah, just working around the clock is a lot. I mean, at the ARCO to meet her, that's so sweet. ARCO, Alondra and Woodruff, he's there with Free Gas, EJ, and Bellflower this morning on 102.7 Kiis-Fm. Well, I got a bunch of notifications yesterday about this Lausd news. If you're a student of Lausd or the parent of one, big news. Sisanie, you and your friends talking about this.
Speaker 2:
[15:28] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[15:29] Lausd has become the first school district in the nation to require screen time limits for students. No screens at all for first grade and younger, zero none. You cannot.
Speaker 2:
[15:43] Yes. And in the past, they would have maybe iPads in the classroom to do an activity and then be monitored. But still, this thing gets too young, first grade and under, they don't need it.
Speaker 1:
[15:54] Okay. Now, what about as you get older? Because that's when you become more and more into it and you build up your social network of friends and your group texts and everything. What happens in elementary, in middle school with this new news?
Speaker 2:
[16:07] They may not use their devices at lunch and at recess, where I guess in the past they haven't allowed to.
Speaker 1:
[16:13] Then the question is like you sneak over to the corner of the playground or you try and go to the restroom and you get on your phone. How much will they enforce the rule? What's the penalty? I don't know what the penalty is.
Speaker 3:
[16:31] They can't follow you into the bathroom stall.
Speaker 1:
[16:33] That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2:
[16:34] No, but this is all to encourage pen and paper assignments in general. I wonder if we're going to see a shift in all grades. Where maybe before you would all have iPads in the classroom or laptops, and then you would submit a report that way. Don't you remember back then, we used to sit down and write out the story with pen and paper in the classroom?
Speaker 5:
[16:55] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[16:55] Yeah. When I try to write something now, I didn't recognize what I'm writing.
Speaker 5:
[16:59] Right.
Speaker 1:
[16:59] So this is a good lesson. This is a good exercise.
Speaker 2:
[17:02] I think it's good. They're going to be blocking YouTube on school-provided devices as well. So even if they have a device, once they're in the older grades, they can't access YouTube. I'm a firm believer in kids not watching YouTube. It just consumes their brain in a way that I don't even know and I don't want to know. So it's out. We banned YouTube in our house.
Speaker 1:
[17:22] So Lausd banned cell phones last year. Now they're taking it even further. This was very big news, not only here, obviously around the country as other school districts take a look at what Lausd is doing.
Speaker 2:
[17:34] Yeah. And they're starting it now, whereas usually they like to be like, okay, we'll give it another year and then we'll start it. It's kicking off literally in this next school year, from 26 to 27.
Speaker 1:
[17:41] All right. So new news there, 102.7 Kiis-Fm. 102.7 Kiis-Fm. It's time for Ryan's Roses. She says, I recently found out my husband was sleeping with another woman during the first few months we were dating when I thought we were exclusive. My therapist says it was before his real commitment to me, but I can't shake it, especially because this woman is still in his life. And now I feel like I've been around her this whole time without knowing the truth. So Kat, you feel a little duped by this. And it was while you were dating, not married, but the point is he never told you the truth and was never totally transparent. When you had a committed relationship when you were dating and he was cheating on you, yeah?
Speaker 9:
[18:34] That's right.
Speaker 1:
[18:36] I got a question in The Therapist talking about commitment versus real commitment. Yeah. What, what?
Speaker 9:
[18:43] I know.
Speaker 1:
[18:43] What in The Therapist's mind is the difference? You're either with me or you're not. You commit or you're not. I don't know if I want somebody that's supposed to be the expert telling me that there are qualifications in different categories of commitment.
Speaker 3:
[18:57] Well, gray area. We all talk about that.
Speaker 1:
[18:59] There's no gray area. If you're my therapist, you got to say, hey, you're right. You guys made a deal, a pact, a commitment, and somebody needs to honor that. If you don't honor that, are they going to honor everything else going forward? I think that's the therapy speech.
Speaker 2:
[19:11] You're being disrespected, that type of stuff.
Speaker 1:
[19:14] How does she know the other woman, Kat?
Speaker 9:
[19:17] So she's like literally in the friend group. Her name is Serena. And so we see her a lot. And not even that, we see her in groups and stuff, but he hangs out with her without me.
Speaker 1:
[19:30] No.
Speaker 9:
[19:31] Like one on one.
Speaker 1:
[19:32] Is she single?
Speaker 9:
[19:35] Yes. Yes.
Speaker 1:
[19:36] All right. I got everything. I got everything. And the fact that it's making you feel this way, full stop.
Speaker 9:
[19:43] I know.
Speaker 1:
[19:44] So Kat, hang on one second. We're going to make the call to your husband. On Air with Ryan Seacrest Podcast, On Air with Ryan Seacrest Podcast, Second Date Update, iHeartRadio On-Demand, Tanya Rad, EJ, Jordyn, Sisanie, Sisanie, And that's Kiis-Fm, about to call Kat's husband, Ryan's Roses. We found out that, she found out that, we all just found out that when they were dating three years ago before they got married, he cheated on her. The first few months they were dating. She thought they were totally exclusive. That was the deal. And then she's with her therapist and the therapist says, yeah, that was before the real commitment. But now that she knows this, she can't get it out of her mind because he never came forward with it. And she wonders about his commitment to commitment, period. What else has he not told you? What else has he not told you since you've been married? I mean, it's driving, it's keeping you up at night. And that's why we're going to make the call to find out.
Speaker 9:
[20:37] Thank you.
Speaker 1:
[20:37] A little bit more. Her name is, I wrote it down, Serena.
Speaker 9:
[20:41] Serena. Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[20:43] And she is single. And let's find out who he sends her roses to. Okay. I need you to say, Ryan, you have my permission to call and then his name. Go ahead.
Speaker 9:
[20:51] Okay. Ryan, you have my permission to call.
Speaker 1:
[20:54] We're going to make the call right now. Be very quiet. Let's see what we can find out. If he sends the roses, who is he thinking about romantically? Serena or Kat? Here we go. Good luck.
Speaker 2:
[21:04] Thank you. Hello. Hi, can I speak to Dillon, please?
Speaker 6:
[21:21] Yeah, this is Dillon.
Speaker 2:
[21:22] Hi, Dillon, my name is Dina. I'm calling from Full Bloom in Fullerton. How are you doing this morning?
Speaker 6:
[21:30] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[21:30] That's great. So I'm calling because we're offering a free promotion. It's actually awesome. It's a free dozen red roses that you can send to anybody that you'd like. I don't need anything from you, just the name of the person. And a quick note, we can have them out by lunchtime today.
Speaker 6:
[21:46] Okay, well, hold on. How did you get this number?
Speaker 2:
[21:48] You may have purchased something online either in the past 18 months and selected to receive promotional offers from local vendors. That's how we get our database.
Speaker 8:
[21:57] Okay. I mean, is this for real?
Speaker 6:
[22:00] Because it really sounds phony as hell.
Speaker 2:
[22:03] No, listen, Dylan, we're just trying to promote our business. We do ask that if you're pleased with our arrangements or the recipient is pleased with the arrangements, then you come back as a customer one day and hopefully, we just gained another customer. Is there anybody special that you'd want to send these roses to?
Speaker 6:
[22:19] Uh, well, probably shouldn't do that. I mean, hey, my wife might find out.
Speaker 2:
[22:28] What's that?
Speaker 6:
[22:29] I'm just... I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
Speaker 2:
[22:32] Oh.
Speaker 6:
[22:32] Okay. No, no. Seriously though, you can send the flowers to my wife, Cap.
Speaker 2:
[22:38] Okay.
Speaker 4:
[22:39] With a K. K-A-T.
Speaker 2:
[22:42] Okay. K-A-T. And what would you like to put on the card?
Speaker 1:
[22:49] Oh, right.
Speaker 6:
[22:50] You can put down... Okay. To the prettiest girl in the world, love Dylan.
Speaker 2:
[22:59] Okay.
Speaker 1:
[23:00] And Dylan, thanks for coming on and celebrating your wife Kat with us on the line. My name is Ryan Seacrest. Your voice is being broadcast on the radio. And just to jump into it, we're calling you because she had some concern about the lack of transparency before you got married when it came to you cheating on her with Serena. And she's concerned that maybe she doesn't even know everything that's happened since you've gotten married. Is there anything I want to tell her? She's on the line with us now.
Speaker 6:
[23:28] Hold on, hold on, so wait, okay, back up. My wife asked you to call me?
Speaker 1:
[23:33] She did.
Speaker 6:
[23:37] Wow.
Speaker 1:
[23:37] She's on the phone. Kat, do you want to tell them while we're on the phone together?
Speaker 9:
[23:41] Yeah, I would love to. I mean, do you still have feelings for Serena? Because it seems like you do.
Speaker 6:
[23:45] Hold on, hold on. Okay, you called the radio station. Why not just talk to me? It was...
Speaker 9:
[23:52] Because you're not doing anything about it. You're not addressing it head on. So, honestly, this was the only way that I feel like we can get her out of our lives, is to expose you on the radio.
Speaker 6:
[24:07] Okay, so Serena, we're bringing this up again? Like, I mean, I don't have feelings for her. This is not... No, no, no way.
Speaker 9:
[24:17] Generally, people don't sleep with people for months if they don't have feelings for them.
Speaker 6:
[24:21] That was... But that's what it was. Like, I didn't love her. That was all it was, okay?
Speaker 1:
[24:26] And did anything happen?
Speaker 9:
[24:27] It doesn't matter because you were sleeping with me at the same time.
Speaker 1:
[24:30] She's right.
Speaker 9:
[24:30] You realize that?
Speaker 6:
[24:32] Look, yeah, I messed up, okay? That was not a great decision on my part. Look, can we, like, talk about this?
Speaker 1:
[24:40] Dylan, while we're here, what did you mean when you said, my wife might find out? Find out what?
Speaker 6:
[24:46] It was a joke. That was a joke. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 9:
[24:49] That was a joke.
Speaker 6:
[24:50] That was funny.
Speaker 2:
[24:51] You sent them to Serena and then you changed your mind.
Speaker 9:
[24:55] There were all the anecdotes in your life.
Speaker 6:
[24:58] No, there's out of our lives. No, no, look, I just think that we'll talk about it, like maybe off the radio. It's not, look, you know it's not as simple as just cutting her off, right?
Speaker 1:
[25:08] Whatever.
Speaker 2:
[25:08] What is it as simple as cutting her off?
Speaker 9:
[25:10] Yeah. I think it's pretty straightforward.
Speaker 1:
[25:13] Okay, Dylan.
Speaker 7:
[25:14] To get her out of our lives, that's all I'm asking.
Speaker 1:
[25:16] You got a real problem to address here in your marriage. Kat, thank you for reaching out. There is smoke here. Let's see if there's fire. Good luck. Thank you very much. But I don't know. I'm not so sold on the fact that he's not hiding something else. That's Ryan's Roses. This is Kiis.
Speaker 9:
[25:33] On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 1:
[25:39] Fortes is go. The track. Kiis-Fm about to pay a bill. Sombra tickets on the way. Jordyn in the back room, right out of Burbank, working here. She's back from what a dream trip. We all have these dream trips that are still on our list. Yours was to go to Japan with 11 high school friends. How uneasy was that to navigate with so many people on a big trip like that?
Speaker 5:
[26:02] It started off a little rocky, but eventually we were just like we split up most of the time.
Speaker 1:
[26:08] They did different groups, over heaps of people. So now, Jordyn, the stories that I heard you talking to Ruby about, I just happen to be listening in with the red microphone right there. There's a light on it. That you guys went out and your drink was vodka red bulls, and everything went to at least four in the morning?
Speaker 5:
[26:27] Yeah. Yeah. I had so many vodka red bulls, I don't even know who I am anymore.
Speaker 1:
[26:34] This is Kiis, you are Jordyn. So tell me about the highlight. I mean, that's such an exciting trip. You went to Tokyo. It's beautiful. The bright lights, the people, it's just so much fun and so much energy too. So what was one of the highlights?
Speaker 5:
[26:50] Definitely the nightlife, for sure. I don't typically, I mean, I go out here and there in Hollywood, but going out there, you got to go crazy. So I took it upon myself to pull an all-nighter and it was amazing.
Speaker 1:
[27:05] It was amazing. Usually people after that say, it was horrible, I never want to do that again. And then they do it again, but they say that. What was so amazing about your all-nighter?
Speaker 5:
[27:14] The process, so once you party it up, they give you drinking tickets that say, continue. So you leave for an hour, go to a restaurant that's open for 24 hours, meet new people, and then you go back to the club at 6 a.m. and just keep drinking and dancing.
Speaker 2:
[27:29] I'm down for this life.
Speaker 1:
[27:31] Wait, because they have to clean up or something?
Speaker 5:
[27:33] Yeah, they got to clean up all the confetti and all the drinks on the floor. And then boom, when you walk in, it's brand new again. It was so cool.
Speaker 1:
[27:42] Sisanie, you want the continued tickets?
Speaker 2:
[27:44] I mean, yeah, why not?
Speaker 5:
[27:46] They gave you two drinking tickets. Like how awesome is that?
Speaker 1:
[27:50] All right, so you went to do a little karaoke. Here it is. Okay, let's see how close that is to the original.
Speaker 5:
[28:13] You know, Hannah Montana didn't have Vodka Red Bulls, you know?
Speaker 1:
[28:16] No, Hannah Montana did not. That's a good thing she didn't. Thank you, Hannah Montana, for sparing us your Vodka Red Bulls. What time was the karaokeing?
Speaker 5:
[28:27] We started at 11. We were supposed to only be there for like an hour. We ended up staying till 3.
Speaker 1:
[28:34] How'd you get back? I'm just like, she got back in one piece.
Speaker 5:
[28:37] Everything was walking distance. We were like two minutes from that karaoke bar. You had to get back to LA in one piece, that's what I'm saying. We walked and took the train, the whole thing.
Speaker 1:
[28:50] Welcome back. I'm glad you had the trip of a lifetime. Here's to many more.
Speaker 2:
[28:53] Yay, keep it going.
Speaker 1:
[28:55] I think we should plan ours.
Speaker 2:
[28:56] Oh my gosh, yes.
Speaker 1:
[28:58] All right. Let's come back at Kiis-Fm. $1,000 to pay your bills, but not before. It's Kiis-Fm, Heated Rivalry. It's on HBO Max. I have yet to watch that. I have yet to finish DTF St. Louis. I've yet to start the new Nicole Kidman series on Prime. So this is going to be in my queue and my stack.
Speaker 3:
[29:27] This should be first in your queue.
Speaker 1:
[29:30] Well, I've got to finish something I've started before I start something else. Go ahead. It was very popular on HBO Max. It's come back now for a Season 2. No surprise.
Speaker 3:
[29:39] Yes, but I just feel like this fan base of Heated Rivalry is very, very passionate. Like this is a very passionate fan base. We are really, really excited about Season 2. And we just turns out we got some details. So it sounds like the tone is getting a major shift and it's a 10 year time jump. So the show runner revealed that the new season is headed into much more serious territory. And then he basically said that the hotel room stuff from Season 1 is largely gone. And I feel like that is something that like really excited the fans. Like that was something that kept it very like steamy. So I'm interested about that. Spoiler alert, Season 1 ended with Shane and Elia finally confessing their love for each other. Season 2 picks up for them, trying to keep their relationship a secret. And then filming starts August. They're looking at April 20, 27 release for Season 2. But I feel like what made the show so popular in Season 1 is going to be very different in Season 2. So it's kind of like, if it ain't broke, why fix it? But then I guess they have to evolve.
Speaker 2:
[30:41] But why do the same thing?
Speaker 3:
[30:42] Yeah, you have to evolve.
Speaker 1:
[30:44] Yeah, I mean, I don't know what to happen in the hotel room.
Speaker 3:
[30:46] But I think you can imagine.
Speaker 1:
[30:48] Okay. And it sounds like a 10-year jump is going to make the relationships have the ability to be very layered and complex.
Speaker 3:
[30:56] Right.
Speaker 1:
[30:57] I mean, it'll be much more complex with a 10-year jump and all that history behind them or between them and everyone, right?
Speaker 3:
[31:04] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[31:05] So it seems like a lot of excitement for that. Sisanie, have you seen Season 1 of Heated Rivalry?
Speaker 2:
[31:10] I have not. I started the first episode, but the kids were still awake and so then I had to turn it off very quickly. And then I just didn't go back to it.
Speaker 1:
[31:17] Okay. All right. Well, it's on the list. Thank you, Tanya. Jenny there. Dracula. You're on Kiis. I want to remind you, EJ's out in Bellflower with Free Gas. We'll go back to him in Bellflower. We met Cindy Hernandez earlier this morning. Cindy happened to be driving up to the gas station at the Arco at Alondra and Woodruff. And that's where EJ decided to just randomly show up and buy her tank of gas. Turns out she is a struggling book author and artist, poet and author who had a book at the LA Book Festival a few days ago. And we met her and chatted with her. And it was really just nice to be able to take care of her tank of gas. So if you're looking to get your tank filled up, he will be in Bellflower at another gas station in a few minutes. And I'll get that exact location. But be on the lookout for EJ with Free Gas this morning live in Bellflower. Cindy, a different Cindy on the phone here, Huntington Beach. Good morning, Cindy. How are you?
Speaker 7:
[32:12] Hi. Good, how are you?
Speaker 1:
[32:14] Super good. We are going to play the same game. All right, so I'll give you two Instagram accounts. You tell me which one has more followers. You gotta get three right before you get three wrong. The first one, Pop Superstars, Pop Superstars. Olivia Rodrigo or Sabrina Carpenter. Who has more Instagram followers?
Speaker 9:
[32:44] Olivia Rodrigo?
Speaker 1:
[32:46] It is Sabrina Carpenter. 51 million followers to 40 million followers. Next one, let's do LA Museums. LA Museums. The LA County Museum of Art, LACMA or the Getty Center Museum. Who has more followers? The Getty Center? No, it's LACMA. 977,000 to 907,000. All right, to stay in the game, Dodger Legends, Dodger Legends. Who has more followers? Mookie Bats or Freddie Freeman?
Speaker 3:
[33:25] Freddie Freeman.
Speaker 1:
[33:27] No, it's Mookie Bats. 1.8 million to 1.4 million. Congratulations. You missed them all.
Speaker 3:
[33:36] She missed every one.
Speaker 1:
[33:38] Which deserves a prize.
Speaker 3:
[33:41] Yeah, pick me up.
Speaker 1:
[33:43] Pick me up. Yeah. I think because you missed them all, you should go see Sombra at the Kia Forum October 10th. I mean, those are very close and very tricky too. So enjoy the show. I can't not double negative. I know grammar teachers, I can't not, but I'm going to give you the tickets. Congratulations, Cindy, and thank you for listening. In Huntington Beach.
Speaker 4:
[34:08] Thank you so much.
Speaker 9:
[34:09] My daughter is going to love this.
Speaker 4:
[34:11] So thank you.
Speaker 1:
[34:12] What's her name?
Speaker 4:
[34:14] Addison.
Speaker 1:
[34:15] You can tell Addison, you know who has more followers, Sabrina Carpenter versus Linda Rodrigo.
Speaker 9:
[34:21] Remember?
Speaker 1:
[34:22] Well, Mookie. Okay. Well, you remember something. All right. Thanks, Cindy. Enjoy the show. Bye. It's Kiis-Fm. Coming up next, Sisanie will tell you what's new this morning.
Speaker 9:
[34:31] On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 1:
[34:36] Kiis-Fm, meaning a lot of people by giving away the free gas in the morning. EJ has been rolling around at different gas stations. Every morning, different city. Today, he's been in Bellflower all morning long. This time, he's at another gas station. So, let's get EJ on, then we'll get into paying your bills and Ryan's Roses. But EJ, where are you now in Bellflower?
Speaker 8:
[34:56] So, we're at this gas station. All I see is literally it's called Fuels, but I am here with Isaac who is from Bellflower. He has a big day today and he's super appreciative that you're going to pay for his gas. Say hi to Ryan.
Speaker 4:
[35:09] Hi.
Speaker 1:
[35:10] Isaac, good morning. So, you're at Fuels gas station.
Speaker 4:
[35:15] Yes.
Speaker 1:
[35:16] Okay, now tell us about your big day, Isaac.
Speaker 4:
[35:19] So, well, honestly, it's really helping me out because like, well, I'm literally going to go do something right now. And right now I'm just going through so much. So like, it's really like, oh, I'm trying not to cry because it's really a blessing for me right now.
Speaker 1:
[35:37] You know, sometimes things really happen for a specific reason in a specific moment in time. And it should be a sign to hopefully get you moving in the right direction. And at least give you the energy to work through whatever you're going through. Isaac, I'm sorry you're dealing with something right now. And I'm happy we can at least try and put a smile on your face for a few minutes here.
Speaker 4:
[36:00] Yeah, I'm definitely, thank you, I really appreciate it a lot.
Speaker 1:
[36:03] Isaac, sending you a big hug, okay?
Speaker 4:
[36:06] Thank you.
Speaker 1:
[36:08] Okay, get that free gas there, EJ. I mean, all kinds of different stories and people in the morning just off the 105. It's Foster and Woodruff and Bellflower, fuels, gas. EJ, great work this morning.
Speaker 4:
[36:21] Thank you.
Speaker 8:
[36:22] I appreciate that. Everybody's just super excited. There's tears. Everybody just needs some help. And the fact that we are doing that, it's so heartwarming.
Speaker 1:
[36:31] Well, thanks for doing it, buddy. We'll talk to you again real soon, tomorrow, downy, before you know it, get some rest. This morning, it's been more than just gas. You notice that?
Speaker 2:
[36:40] Yes, I have noticed that.
Speaker 1:
[36:42] There's always excitement in getting a free tank of gas. But with everybody that we talked to this morning at the different gas stations, it was, gas was just part of it. There was something happening and this was like the one push they needed to help out with other things.
Speaker 2:
[36:57] Everyone needed it today. It's perfect.
Speaker 1:
[36:59] It's time to roll out Kiis-Fm. Thanks for being here. Thank you, EJ, for being up in Bellflower with free gas this morning. Tomorrow, downy is the spot with that free gas. Also today, we're paying your bills all day. I guess that's the headline for the moment. Every time the clock strikes 10 past, you get your phone, 10 past, we're paying your bills until tonight. If you missed anything, it's up on our podcast, wherever you get your podcast. Anything else, Sisanie, Tanya?
Speaker 2:
[37:25] No, nonstop music coming up.
Speaker 1:
[37:28] All right, it's Kiis, we'll be back for the weekend launch broadcast tomorrow, the Friday morning Festival of Friends, Fellowship, Fun and F-its. Yeah. I was going to say hits, but F-its.
Speaker 3:
[37:41] Right. That's cute. It's Friday. Fun, Fellowship, Friends.
Speaker 1:
[37:46] And F-its.
Speaker 8:
[37:47] Friday.
Speaker 1:
[37:47] We play the F-its.
Speaker 3:
[37:49] Kiis.
Speaker 1:
[37:50] For Volity, I don't know. Goodbye.
Speaker 8:
[37:52] Thanks for listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 9:
[37:55] Make sure to subscribe and we'll talk to you again tomorrow.
