[00:17] You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve Podcast. I'm your host Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Thursday. A huge show for you today. We got so much to go over, including we finally got some answers of what the hell is going on in Bachelor Nation. The Bachelor is coming back. Taylor, Frankie, Paul's Bachelorette season. Still no answer on anything. Nobody knows anything about that. We are going to talk about the Hulu Get Real Event yesterday where new shows were announced. We do have people in Bachelor Nation appearing on shows. Something I posted about a couple months ago was confirmed yesterday in regards to the Dancing with the Stars world. Update on Taylor, Frankie, Paul and Dakota when it comes to season five of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. We've got Survivor to talk about. Wow, just a lot of stuff to go over. Let's get started. I'm going to start with this. Didn't even mention this in the open. You're going to be flooded with Temptation Island interviews coming all in the next few days. Now, episode number 492 is a combination of my interview with Scarlett Bentley by herself, and with Summit Wallace and Kaylee Needham. Spoiler alert, they are still together. Now, Scarlett's interview is first. It is not with Cole, but maybe you've seen by now, maybe you haven't. Spoiler alert, Scarlett and Cole are back together. So, that's coming on episode 492 today, 9:15 a.m. Eastern Time on my YouTube channel and in your podcast feed. Part one of the reunion show aired yesterday. I'm probably going to save that for tomorrow since there's a lot of Bachelor Nation stuff to go over today. But part one of the reunion show aired on the Vial Files yesterday, and we will discuss it tomorrow because part two doesn't come out until tomorrow. I also have four more interviews with Temptation Island contestants. The singles that I spoke to were Xavier Odom and Chris Talami. Xavier was the one that's linked to Sydney. Chris was the one that was the last person that Kaylee was dating and the one that was closest to Kaylee all season. Then I also talked to Carter Aaron, the one that was with Jack, and I also spoke with Bradley Bobbitt. He was the one that was closest to Scarlett. So I'm combining those. Xavier is going to be with Chris. I'm going to put those interviews back to back. All four of those are recorded separately, but I'm going to combine the Xavier interview with Chris's interview, and I'm going to combine Carter's interview with Bradley's interview. I don't know when they're coming, probably tomorrow. I might do one later on today, but later on today at 3 p.m., maybe a little bit later today, either 3.30 or 4 p.m. Eastern Time will be my Valley Episode 4 recap with comedian Juliana DiStefano. So that's coming up later on today, but 9:15 a.m. Eastern Time, you're getting episode number 492. If you're a Patreon subscriber, you already got it. You already got that one yesterday, and it is first interview with Scarlett Bentley, and then we talked to Summit and Kaylee. All right, let's get to the big news from yesterday. Hulu had their annual April Get Real event, where they talk about all the shows under the Disney and Hulu umbrella, introduce you to new shows, tell you about things. For the second year in a row, I got an invite to this in my email, but I just have zero interest in going to an event like this. If I lived in California, maybe, but I'm not flying out for something like this. Most of those shows, I don't watch, so I just have no interest in hobnobbing with those cast. It's not me. Let the other content creators do it. But yeah, I got my invite and I said, no thanks, but no thanks. Just can't make it. But the biggest news from Bachelor Nation to come out of this yesterday was, The Bachelor is returning in 2027. Now, all they said was it's returning in 2027, but it did not say when in 2027. If we are to go off the regular schedule, I would think that The Bachelor is going to film September to November and start airing in January, because that's what it has always been before last season was thrown a wrench into the plans when they decided at the last minute. So we're going to do a bachelorette. We're going to start filming later. We're going to go October to December. We're not going to start airing it until March. My guess is they're going to do The Bachelor like they always do, because they kind of want to, based on the things that I heard from interviews yesterday with Robert Mills, who is from ABC, I just felt like it sounds like they just want to get back to the normal bachelor schedule. That's the impression I got. But it's not coming till 2027. In the interview, he said The Bachelor is almost a perfect format. It is really powerful. It's over two decades old. It's always had a lot of resilience, especially when the people making it really care about it, but that fan base also really cares about it. However, The Bachelor comes back next year. It will be done with a lot of thoughtfulness and care. I do think better days are ahead for the franchise. If it starts filming in September as normal, they got plenty of time to cast this thing. We've got five months to cast this thing. That's why I think they're going to go back to the normal shooting schedule. September to November probably start airing in January, but that has not been official. Also, Robert Mills announced, Bachelor Nation is going to be heading back to the beach. Bachelor in Paradise has been renewed for another season, and it is going to air next summer following The Bachelor. So it looks like they're not doing Bachelor, Bachelorette, then Bachelor in Paradise. So it looks like Bachelorette is being shelved for 2027. As for Taylor, Frankie Paul's season, he was asked about it, and he was asked, will it ever air? He says he doesn't know whether it will ever air on ABC or stream on Hulu and is taking everything day by day. He said, the day all that stuff happened, really our first start of concern was really for Taylor and the family and everyone involved in that. It was really more on a human level. Now we're sort of taking it a day at a time. I think her season is a wonderful season by Bachelor standards. If it gets seen, I'm sure people will absolutely enjoy it. I think if there's something that absolutely stays very clearly one way or the other that points in that direction, you will know. But right now, there's really just nothing to say other than it's a great season, and I hope that at some point, Bachelor Nation gets to see it. I could tell you right now, if that season of Taylor Frankie Paul's Bachelorette does air, it's airing on streaming. They're not taking 12 weeks out of network TV to air this season. Basically, it would be almost two years after it filmed, because based on this 2027 schedule, looks like we're getting Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, at least in the spring and the summer. Are they going to air a Bachelorette season from two years earlier in the fall? It filmed in 2025. They really going to air it in 2027? I don't think so. So the only way in terms of on ABC, streamer, yeah, you can just dump it there and say, here are all your episodes, go watch it at your earliest convenience. But I don't know. I just still don't think that this show ever makes it to air. I don't see why. Even if Taylor, Frankie, Paul is cleared of everything, I just think it's kind of pointless. I know people are clamoring for it, release the tapes. It's like, come on. I'm sorry. You can't sit here and say, wait a second. Look at this. Why are we platforming this person and then say, release the tapes in the next breath? Doesn't make any sense. My opinion is, it never sees the light of day. And Taylor, Frankie, Paul season is not going to air ever. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm not. But I do think if it does, it'll be on a streamer because when you're talking about network TV, you really have to plan that out in advance because all these networks have to present their shows at the upfronts of what they're going to run in the fall season, in the spring season. And The Bachelorette is a 12 episode season. You have to carve out 12 Mondays or Sundays, whenever they want to do it, whatever day they want to do it on. And that isn't done on just, hey, let's just throw it in there. No, that has to be planned in advance. That's why on a streamer, you don't have to worry about that. It just goes up and you watch it whenever. So, zero, I would put it at.0001% that Taylor Franke Paul's Bachelorette season ever shows up on network TV. Streamer, I mean, I guess it's possible, but I still think this thing is never gonna see air. I just don't see it. This podcast is brought to you by ZocDoc. Don't have any time for yourself. [12:29] So what else came out of the Get Real Hulu event yesterday? Well, something I told you about over two months ago was confirmed. I tweeted this back on February 10th. Dancing with the Stars. I said, I know people were hoping for a Dancing with the Stars pro show for today's announcement. I can confirm it's happening. Robert Irwin is hosting. Two of the judges are Mark Ballas and his mom, and their winner will be part of next season of Dancing with the Stars. That was officially announced yesterday at that event. Robert Irwin is hosting. Mark and Shirley Ballas are judges. They will, I think it's 10 or 12 dancers. They're all going to live in a house. They're going to compete and whoever wins gets to be a pro on next season of Dancing with the Stars. So it's good to get that confirmation two months before they announced it. Yay me. Speaking of Dancing with the Stars, we have our first two dancers that have been confirmed. Can't say any of us are surprised about these when we see the names. One of them is Maura Higgins, who was a star on the Traders this past off season or this last summer. I think people were, it was rumored that she was going to be on it. She had talked about being on a show, it was going to be announced soon. She was teasing Bachelorette because she had pictures of her with a rose in her hand, but we knew that wasn't going to be the case. Ciara, the one that's in the news right now from what? Summer House, Ciara Miller. She is the other one that was announced yesterday. Again, no surprise there. She's in the news. She's a news maker because of what is going on with that West Amanda relationship. She is the scorned friend in this situation. So of course, anytime that happens to somebody in America is on their side. Basically, Ciara Miller is playing the role of Arianna Maddox when she got cast on Dance with the Stars. This is exactly what this is, even though I think the Sandoval cheating scandal and Sandoval was bigger than this, but in terms of way more hurtful in that look, Sandoval was in a nine year relationship with Arianna and was cheating on her behind her back. For everything that I've read, and I don't watch Summer House, but I understand that Ciara was Amanda's right hand woman. I mean, they were thick as thieves, they're really good friends. And yeah, Amanda hooking up with Ciara's ex West sucks, but it wasn't a nine year relationship. Both of the situations suck, but I can't believe people are comparing it to what Sandoval did, because he was in a nine year relationship and was having a secret affair. Say what you want, Amanda was a single woman. I guess allegedly, maybe there was some overlap, but it wasn't nine years. Now, Amanda betrayed Ciara's friendship for sure and that's what sucks. Same with, what's her face? Raquel at the time, now Rachel. She betrayed Ariana's trust for sure, and Ariana was in a nine year relationship. Anyway, not surprising that Ciara got the gig on Dance With The Stars, so people will be excited to see her. Those are the first two dancers that have been announced. I told you a couple weeks ago that there was a Reality TVT Instagram account that said there is a show overseas called The Family that was filming, and Maria Georgiouis was going to be in it. Shane Parton, who was one of the guys and finished second on Taylor Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette, he's on it, and the show is now officially called The Mob. It was shot overseas already, and I guess it's supposed to be somewhat like a Traders-like show. Parker Posey is going to be the host of this show, and it's called The Mob, and it debuts I think sometime later this summer. But that officially was announced yesterday as well, and then what was announced a couple weeks ago became official because now we have the cast list, and that is Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Orange County. And they announced the cast list. I guess if you're into that scene, you probably know some of these names. But I have a question just because of all these names. I can't say I really, I've heard of some of the names. I've heard Avery Woods. I feel like I said that the other day. Was that one of the, does she have a podcast on the Unwell Network? Anyway, Aspen Ovard, Avery Woods, Salome, Andrea, McCall de Prawn, who I guess is Macy's sister, Chandler Higginson, Ashley Peace, and Madison Bontempo. I don't know those names, but the one name that I did see on this that I have heard of, and I've talked about before in the past is Bobby Althoff. I'm sure Bobby Althoff is a wonderful woman, but I never got the appeal of her podcast, where she was just playing a character. People thought that that was really her. I was just like, why is this so popular? Okay, she's acting. It was basically like she was the female version of Chris Farley back when they had the Chris Farley show on SNL. She was the female version. She was just acting awkward and asking really simple questions, and the whole interview was uncomfortable, but that wasn't her. She was playing a character. Again, I never understood it. I never got her, and I see this that she's now on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Orange County, and I'm like, first off, I didn't even know she lived in Orange County, and number two, I didn't even know that she was married, ever married, or that she was married before, but she's currently not married. And then I Googled, is Bobby Althoff Mormon? The answer is no. I understand that the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives franchise wants to do spinoffs, and there's probably going to be two or three more cities that get spinoffs. But I thought the whole point was, let's get women in the Mormon Church who are married and put them together on a show. Bobby Althoff isn't Mormon and she isn't married. They can do what they want. I don't care. Just, I understand that that's their show, and they can do whatever the hell they want, but this doesn't make any sense to me. At least with Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, with all those women, with Whitney and Taylor and Macy and Monica and Muffin and all the Ms in the show, if I'm not mistaken, they're all married, right? Or they were. Jesse and I know that Jesse recently got divorced, and there's been some other people that have broken off and gotten divorced. I get it. But at least be Mormon. I understand if you want to cast somebody who's currently married, and maybe they just recently got divorced, but Bobby Althoff isn't Mormon. Why is she on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? Orange County Edition. Please, someone explain this to me. In more Taylor Frankie Paul news, season five of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is reportedly going to resume filming, but initially it will not include Taylor Frankie Paul or Dakota Mortenson. Now people are saying, well, the reason Dakota put out that statement the other day was because he's saying, you know, I'm choosing to step away and focus on my child. And they're saying, well, he's saying that because he was told not to come back and he's not on the show anymore. So he's just turning it into, I'm choosing to focus on my child. And if they were to ask him back, he would have hopped back in a second. So I can understand them never bringing Dakota back. There's no way that Taylor Frankie Paul never shows up on another episode of Secret Lives. Of course she is. Now, I have been very vocal about the fact that she should not do reality TV again. But I know that's not realistic because this is what she wants to do. This is like her thing. But I think we can adjust that to, she should just never go back to being a full-time cast member. We all know that that show was based around her. The focal point, she has been the leader of Mom Talk, and the leader of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives for the four seasons that it aired. It focused a lot on her and Dakota's relationship. Well, there's no Dakota now. I totally understand them bringing her on. Once she goes through some therapy and seemingly gets better, I can see her going on and appearing and talking to the women and just being like, this is what I've been through. I feel like I'm coming out a better woman. She just doesn't need to be a full-time cast member ever again, because I just think that will send her down a wrong path. This is my opinion. I don't think she should ever be on reality TV full-time again. But I'm very well aware that there's no way they're never going to show her on that show again. It's her show. I can definitely see her showing up. They are going to resume filming. She is not going to be a part of it, they said initially. But apparently, the invitation is there for her to come back when she is better. Now, I don't think that means come back and make an appearance, or come back and be the leader and be a full-time cast member. I just don't think it's a good idea for her to be a full-time cast member. I think she needs to focus on herself and focus on her family. Being a full-time cast member on reality TV takes a lot of time away from things that you probably need to focus on. So just my opinion, but it is official now. They are going back to filming that show, and Taylor and Dakota will not be a part of it initially, but I think the initially is more for Taylor. I don't think they're ever bringing back Dakota, maybe at the reunion show, but I don't see them putting them in the same room. If they bring them back for the reunion show, I think it would be separate interviews. Still a lot that's going to come of that, but we do know now it's official that season five will resume filming.

[22:50] Survivor last night. This is what I'm going to wrap up with. You know me, I've been very critical on Survivor this year. I've hated every twist. I thought they were dumb. Last night's twist, at least the first part of it, the first part of the Jimmy Fallon twist, I was fine with. I actually thought, hey, in 50 seasons, Jeff Probst is one of the best hosts out there. He's very in shape for his age, and you've always sat back and wondered, what would Jeff do in these challenges? How would he fare? When he had his podcast, he would talk about it occasionally. He would just talk about situations, what he would do in those situations, in his next day interviews with Dalton Ross, and he always would talk about playing the game. If I played, I would have done this, and I don't think I would have been good at this, and all this stuff. So I had no problem with Jeff competing in that challenge, because it didn't affect the outcome of the game. It was like, hey, if four of you can beat me, then you all get rice. Totally fine with that. I think the other part of the Jimmy Fallon twist, which was sending somebody to out in the middle of the ocean to possibly win an advantage, ended up being Christian because he won the Rock Paper Scissors Battle against Ozzy. So he goes out and he has to basically put a puzzle together before all the anchors go over the side of the board. Okay. But I'm going to read what Stephen Fishback wrote about this, and I can't agree with it more. First, what Dalton Ross said, and then Stephen followed up. Dalton Ross said, I think the winning twist of casting a vote at The Journey without consulting anyone or knowing what is happening back at camp is super interesting. The losing twist of having to vote for yourself and announce it to the tribe, not a fan because that was the result of what Christian Hibicki did. If he did complete the challenge in time, he completed the puzzle in time, he would be allowed to cast his vote right there for somebody, and somebody would already have their name at tribal council before they got there. But we all know it didn't happen and he lost, so he has to write his name down and vote for himself and tell the tribe about it. Once he got back to camp. And Stephen Fishback says, the biggest problem is how insanely unbalanced this is. If you win and you put your name in the urn, and you put a name in the urn, like if Christian would have finished the puzzle on time, he would have been able to write somebody else's name and put it in the urn. That player still gets to vote and can still play their shot in the dark, the player's name that he put in the urn. You're also voting without consulting with your alliance in a way that could deeply piss someone off at camp when they find out what you've done. And at 11 people isn't enough to have a decisive impact. Conversely, if you lose, you lose your vote, you're shot in the dark, and you have to announce to everyone that you're a ripe target. Winning is marginally good, potentially bad, losing is disastrous. We all saw what happened to Christian last night. And I got to believe that it's because he lost that challenge. Because now they're like, it was kind of what Rizzo was saying and telling people, hey guys, he's already got one vote against him, he's one of the most strategic players out here, what are we doing? This should be a no-brainer. So he ended up getting five votes, Ozzy got two, and Devin's got three, and those were the ten votes. So unfortunately, I didn't mind, like I said, I have no problem with going out. I mean, this is just finding an advantage. Having to be sent out to an island, it's happened a lot and basically, I think everybody that's had to go out to the island has eventually come back and ended up winning. He was the first one to lose. I just think I'm in agreement with Stephen here. It just seemed way too disastrous if you lost. You know, maybe do a lose a vote, maybe do, I don't know, something other than that. You have to write your own name down and tell everybody about it. I mean, look, put it this way. Every twist that they have come up with has ended up working against the people who were the recipients of that awful twist. When you think about it, haven't they? I just didn't like it. I didn't like the twist. First part of the twist, I had no problem with. Get Jeff involved in a challenge. Hey, if all of you beat me, you get rise for the rest of the journey. Cool. I want to see Jeff compete. That was fun because I had no idea how he was going to do. Once it started, you realized, oh boy, Jeff's in trouble, and he went against four people that basically were the last four people standing. So he really had no chance to beat them. But man, Ozzy, Tiffany, Jonathan, and Joe versus Probst, it was like, you're done, Probst. You ain't going to win this. But that second part, I just didn't like the reward or non-reward for not completing the puzzle in time. I'm sure Hibiki in his exit interviews is not going to be happy with that twist. Probably going to hate Jimmy Fallon for the rest of his life. And, you know, when Probst was on Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Fallon had his audience vote, I'm fine with that part. I'm fine with them voting. I want Jeff Probst to compete in the challenge. That was totally cool. The other part of the Jimmy Fallon twist, I'm like, that seems way too detrimental if you don't win. It's too big. Why would anybody want to go to exile now? Honestly, these things are killers if you don't complete whatever task is put in front of you when you get sent out to exile or sent out on a journey, because that wasn't exile. That was just in the middle of the water and he had to compete in something. I just don't know why anyone would volunteer, and I would be scared shitless to even compete in something like that. It's like, I don't want to be any part of this journey. Now, some people might not have a choice because the tribe might just say, hey, put it this way, I don't think anyone's going to volunteer anymore to go out there. I just, I can't imagine. Maybe there'll be some risk takers and be like, well, I'm going to go out there and do my best, and I think I can complete whatever challenge they give me. Okay. It's a lot of confidence not knowing what the challenge is. But when I was watching Christian put that puzzle together, and then just looking at the anchors, I was like, he's not going to finish this. I think this is the first time this season that somebody failed on the journey challenge where they can win a reward or an advantage in the game. I don't think anybody else has lost, at least when it was just one person going out there. I remember Savannah beat Colby, and Colby on the journey with three people, Colby ended up losing, but somebody won. I'm talking about when it's one person having to complete something, I believe he's the first person to lose. But again, my memory sucks when it comes to the show, and I very well could be wrong. But I don't think I am, but I might be. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple Podcasts, also rate and review, but you got to hit play. It's the only way it counts as a download. Sports Daily coming up in an hour from now, and then at 9:15 AM Eastern Time in your podcast feed on Apple Podcasts, and Spotify, and my YouTube channel, go check out episode number 492. It's a combined interview. First, I interview Scarlett Bentley from Temptation Island and then I interview Summit and Kaylee. Two separate interviews, I just combine them because I didn't want to release six different interviews. Basically, it's going to be three interviews. Scarlett and Summit and Kaylee are coming today, 9:15 AM Eastern Time, and then I've got a combination interview with Xavier and Chris, who are two of the male singles that were in the men's villa, and then I've got a combined interview with Carter Aaron, and Bradley Bobbitt, and I don't know when I'm going to release those, but probably sometime in the next couple of days, the Patreon subscribers will get those two interviews, the Xavier and Chris interviews, and the Carter and Bradley interviews, you'll be getting those at some point today. I'm going to throw them up on the Patreon. Thanks again for listening, everybody. I really appreciate it. And I'll talk to you tomorrow. See ya!
