We don't have anybody. And I would drop myself down to Jen's studio and be a guest. And now that we have this mega star podcast, I'm still being asked to come back on. I think it's such a neat, awesome thing. I'm glad to be here, Pumps. I feel like the gang is back together. So, all right, let's jump in.

[01:22] I've had it with, of course, everyone's going to say these large text groups, but I want to take it a little bit deeper. OK. So, if you're on a text thread with about 15 or 20 people, and if they're not all using Apple phones, bear with me. Some people are on non-Apple devices. You don't have the ability to leave the text thread without blocking every person in the thread. So, trust me, I've been down this rabbit hole. I know what I'm talking about. I'm in this group with about 25, 30 fraternity brothers from Oklahoma State, many of whom I love dearly, many of whom I can't stand. And they're going on and on about something from back in the day. And I'm thinking, okay, I need to mute this. And then I mute it and still I get the red dot every five minutes. And so I realize, okay, I'm not just gonna be able to mute it, I'm gonna have to leave this. So I go and I look for the leave this conversation or leave this thread option and it simply doesn't exist. So then I have to AI this issue. And it tells me that if you're in a group with Apple phones, non-Apple devices, the only way to do that is you have to block the group, which in essence blocks every member of the group from calling you. And so I'm thinking, god, that can't be right because there's about four or five keepers in this group of 30 that I just simply don't want to block. Yeah, out of 30, there's about four that are rock-solid keepers that are diehards of mine from back in the day. So I make a calculated decision. I sit on it for about 24 hours and the notifications keep coming. And finally, I reach a point where I say, look, these four or five, these diehards, I love those motherfuckers to pieces. Like we've been in the trenches before, DUIs in college, me going to rehab, all this stuff. But man, I can't stay in this fucking group another day. I can't do it. So I make a calculated decision to block all members, including my four or five rider dies from the day. And you know what, after I did it, I felt pretty goddamn good about it. You know, I didn't have any remorse at all. And so to this day, I don't know if they've tried to reach out or not, or if anybody's asking, hey, why the fuck can't I call you or text you directly? I have no idea if they have or haven't. That's the beauty of it, just having blocked them all.

[03:55] Back to that, I've had it though, I've had it that there's not an easier solution. Like again, I didn't want to have to cut the cord with those four, those five guys. I love them. But when faced with the alternative of getting these notifications and reading this content, I felt like I had no other choice. So if you're listening or watching this, and we were asshole best friends back in the day, and you've tried to call me and it appears that you're blocked, I'm so fucking sorry. This is why.

[05:28] The content... And I'm one that will beat a dead horse and tell a story from 1988 ad nauseam. Don't get me wrong. I'll jump in that camp and tell some story about how I had a one-handed catch and we beat Ida Bell. They were ranked number one in the state. Talked that shit all day long. But this was just going on and on and on and on over shit that I just simply wasn't interested in.

And back in my day in Hugo, they would replay the Friday Night Game on Saturday on the local cable channel. Oh, nice. And so like we would all gather around and we'd say, OK, the play's coming. It's coming. And this is the next day they would play it. They'd play it. So we would all gather around. I would see like I just I stuck this one arm out like this. I don't know if you're not watching. You can't see this amazing thing, but stuck this one arm and just reeled it in kind of like a Travis Kelce tie.

[06:35] I have a question. I heard at a later date that you said that you were on ecstasy when you made this one handed catch. Yeah.

There's a picture of me on the front page, and I'm accepting this trophy, this gigantic trophy with the coaches. And it was for my performance in tennis and football.

My parents weren't there that night when I won this award because the night before, I'd been pulled over by a highway patrolman, and they had made me pour out all this beer in my car and my dad was so mad at me. So I had to accept this gigantic trophy solo alone. It's a little bit of history.

You don't value our time, because if you valued our time, you would schedule sucking pilots for an airplane.

But nonetheless, so I have this poop bag and then I walk over to the trash can and on the trash can, it says, please don't litter. And I'm like, I'm fucking not littering. How about thank you for throwing your litter away? But it's like, it's misidentified. It's like such a New York thing. Please don't litter. And I'm like, the nerve, I actually am not. I'm actually bringing this to the trash can.

Let's pop up the first slide. Tennessee governor renames pride month, nuclear family month. And what I would like to see is Governor Bill Lee's search history.

Tennessee has declared June nuclear family month, prompting criticism from the LGBTQ plus advocates who view the move as opposing pride month. Republican Governor Bill Lee signed the resolution on April 9th after it passed the state legislator. What a bunch of assholes. The measure defines a nuclear family as one husband, one wife and any biological adopted or fostered children. Next up, it describes that model as aligned with Tennessee's traditional values and God's perfect design for humanity. The resolution is symbolic and does not carry legal force. LGBTQ plus residents can still celebrate pride and display related flags. Critics, including Glad, which we love Glad, argue that the resolution is an attempt to diminish the LGBTQ plus community and highlight the diversity of modern family structures. And here's what I want to say. 12 times out of 10, anytime politicians say that they are for traditional family and they support family, that is a red flag because it's not something you have to say. Everybody's pro-family. When they use the moniker or the adjective traditional, they're using that to be bigoted. This is hate legislation targeted to demean and shame the LGBTQ plus community. So my message for all of the Americans, particularly white women, that enjoy all of the multiculturalism of your gay hairdresser, your gay trainer, your gay physician, that enjoy all that shit, gay fashion, bravo television, and then you go out and triple Trump, you're voting for hate, and you're a goddamn hypocrite, and I've had it.

She also voted against Fair Pay for Women and is a climate change denier. And so I just want to say this, we're beating up on Tennessee a little bit right now. Listen, we beat up on all the red states. We're from red states. So all of those blue dots in Tennessee, we see you and we know that you are more disgusted about this shit than anybody, but this this bullshit that MAGA Republicans are pro-family, pro-child, pro-business is the biggest lie. These people are an anti-family death cult that enable pedophilia and participate in pedophilia and are consumed with the genitalia and the sex lives of others. MAGA is an anti-family death cult, say it over and over and over again.

I'm like, what's the point of even being rich if you have to go kiss this guy's ass? These people have everything they want, especially Marsha Blackburn. She's in the majority in the Senate. She's got little Moses Mike Grinder Johnson in the House that will not do shit unless Trump tells him to do it. She's got Trump, JD Vance, all of the assholes at the Supreme Court, and then all of the oligarchs that have bent the knee. And these people are still miserable, hysterical, nut jobs, and they control everything, and they're such pussies, and they're such cowards, they still claim, we are under attack. Who is attacking you, Marsha? It looks like a goddamn bird attacked your hair the last time I checked.

Marsha is under attack by trans people, right? So here's Caitlyn Jenner, who I think she thought that it was a good idea to be MAGA, right? So now she is shocked as shit that the transphobic rules that the Trump regime has passed, and basically what they have done is if you're a trans man or woman, you typically, because Caitlyn presents female, she's transitioned to a female. She wants her passport to say F for female when she travels. Trump, Marco Rubio, Smokey Oso So Path, JD. Vance, it's got to be whatsoever on your birth certificate. So Caitlyn Jenner gets her passport back, and it is changed back to male, and she's having a stage five meltdown. Pop this up. Caitlyn Jenner says her passport came back marked male under Trump's gender policy. She's reaching out for help. Okay, let's play the video.

[34:38] Board. I had to get it renewed. I sent it back, comes back, gender marker M, screws everything up. So there's a form in there. If they made a mistake, you can correct it. So I fill out all the proper forms. I'm not calling anybody. I'm not calling the president. I got his personal cell number. I'm not calling anybody. I'm gonna see if I can fix this myself. Because it's not just about me, it's about all people in this situation. So I even sent a hard copy of my birth certificate, Caitlyn Jenner, gender, sex, female. I did everything. And they sent it back M. They didn't change it at all. So now I'm in a position, Tommy, that what do I do? Right.

[35:36] This is a safety factor, okay? I can't travel internationally anymore, okay? I can't use my passport. I can use global entry. It says F. I can do this. I can travel in the United States, license, you know, driver's license. I've heard enough.

[35:51] I've heard enough. Here's what you do, Caitlyn. You quit supporting bigots and you quit supporting Trump and you atone for your own internalized bigotry and then be a champion for trans people everywhere because you're not the special magic trans person as you just found out that MAGA is going to make a caveat or an excuse for the cruelty that you just received, that dehumanization that you received from the Trump regime and changing your gender back to your passport despite triple trumping, despite humiliating yourself on the national stage. That's just the tip of the iceberg, baby girl. They have so much more in store for you. It's unbelievable. This is just wild. And so just to give y'all a little backdrop on this, his first day in office, Donald Trump, he signed an executive order directing federal agencies to recognize only biological sex at birth. The state department immediately stopped processing gender marker changes and eliminated the X option. And that interview Jenner is giving an interview to Tommy Lahren. She, Tommy Lahren has said that trans people, quote, have a psychological condition that would make the military less effective and repeatedly defended Trump's trans military ban. I just want to say, there are so many wonderful trans military members. And this is just cruelty for the point of being cruel. And so this is what she's finding out. Tommy Lahren also, she called gender identity in schools radical LGBTQ plus grooming. And so here we have Caitlyn Jenner going into the belly of the beast. What does she think? Tommy Lahren's everyone's going to go, Oh my God, we're for trans rights now. Let's reverse the passport thing.

Speaker 3:
[37:53] I'm going to go on a limb here and say that Caitlyn Jenner isn't very smart. And so I certainly don't follow her or anything that she does or I know who she is. But you read that clip and you see a little bit of this and it really is just jaw dropping at how ill informed or how I don't want to use an improper word. How ignorant she is. And then it makes you think that that's why a lot of these people vote against their interest because they're so ill informed or they're so ignorant. And I say those words politely or as polite as you can. But how else do you explain that? How else do you explain choosing to go on this particular podcast with this particular message? You know, it's just something I don't know. I mean, I'm not the sharpest stick ever, but goddamn, she makes me look like Einstein.

Speaker 2:
[38:49] Yeah, well, I think it's entitlement. And she believes that it's OK for others not to have rights. She can go down and party at Mar-a-Lago. I think she takes her partner with her. And they take pictures and you see this. But she's special. She doesn't have to worry about all of the bigotry and hate being spread by this regime. She's special. You heard her say, I have Trump's personal cell phone number.

Speaker 3:
[39:16] And there's a component to that too, Pumps, I think that you touch on, that a lot of the trans community suffer financially too. Caitlyn Jenner's never suffered anything financially. And that changes your whole landscape when you don't have resources and you don't have money and you're suffering this hate and discrimination. It's a game changer. It makes it totally different. And so she is, she's a privileged woman who's never had to embrace the discomfort associated with the way trans people are being treated in this country. And so I think you hit it.

Speaker 2:
[39:51] I just, I can't, and you know, she says, well, I can still work on my driver's license. Kansas now is not allowing driver's license. Like it's happening. It started federally, but the shit rolls downhill and it's rolling downhill. And for her to say that she's not safe, but yet she can't apply that to other trans people, I just, it makes me want to scream. Nobody's safe under this regime.

Speaker 3:
[40:17] Can you imagine if you're 16 years old and rural Oklahoma in a town of 2,000 people and you're trans, I mean, how you feel? You know, and to not, if you're a trans person like she is with the means and resources that she has, that you don't feel a certain level of empathy for those people, like an obligation to help them, because you know what it feels like on a smaller scale.

Speaker 1:
[40:40] I mean, it's a real testament to the moral rot that MAGA is. And I just think it's really important to notice right now, Rahm Emanuel was on Bill Maher last weekend, and Rahm Emanuel did that same shtick that he did when he was on our podcast. You know, the Democrats are really good in the, we weren't good at the kitchen table issues, we weren't good in the living room. The only issue we talked about was the bathroom, that hole where Rahm Emanuel thinks he's going to be the savior of the Democratic Party. And as long as we don't talk about trans people or marginalized people, then we're going to win elections. And I just think this is so idiotic of Rahm Emanuel and a lot of other Democrats, because number one, the people who talk about culture wars the most, we've made the case, Marsha Blackburn is under attack, despite them controlling fucking everything. The ads that were most effective and that I believe the hate groups spent, I think, $200 million, something insane, don't quote me on that, but was the anti-trans ad. Trump, Kamala is for they, them. Trump is for you. So it's the right wing that is constantly marginalizing trans people. So then you think, okay, so why are they doing this? Why? Well, gay rights, gay marriage has accelerated at such a rate in our lifetime that we remember when it was completely illegal. Well, Obama ran for president in 2008 against gay marriage. And then Joe Biden, the vice president, trotted out that he supported it. And it moved super quickly. So everybody has kind of moved on the gay issue. So then they have to move the goalposts back and pick on the most marginalized, less than 1% of the population. And I want every trans person to know that there are people in this country that are fighting for you, that see you, and we know what they're doing. We know they are using you. And what I believe is your beautiful uniqueness in a way to shame you and be disparaging about you. And then once they have a majority that they think hate you enough, then they're gonna start moving the goalposts. Because if we leave one group behind, then we leave everybody behind. And so any democratic politician that's quick to throw trans people under the bus, they are a liar, a snake in the grass, and not a very smart student of history is all I have to say. You cannot allow for a marginalized group to be scapegoated. And we as democratic voters in a democratic party have to defend the most marginalized people against us. And it's not, here's what I have to say, nobody fucking wakes up in rural dumb fuck Tennessee or Oklahoma and says, you know what, I want to fuck with my religious family today and I want to fuck with all the people at my church and I'm going to go play tennis at high school and then I'm going to be a D1 athlete and I'm going to game the system and I'm going to win Wimbledon. That does not fucking happen. It doesn't exist. This is not a choice. This is, you need to meet people where they are and embrace them and love them. And I just, Caitlyn Jenner is horrific. And you know, when she goes to Mar-a-Lago, you know she uses the women's restroom.

[44:11] Yeah. And there's a couple of other trans, MAGA trans influencers too.

Speaker 2:
[44:14] I've seen, I just, I don't understand it. And I have to say, because I have a stone cold heart, when I saw that this was happening to her, as much as I hate it for other innocent people, that all they want to do is be loved and be happy and just have what everybody else has. When I saw she was outraged about this.

[44:38] You loved it for her.

Speaker 2:
[44:39] I loved it for her. I just thought, you know, nobody deserves this more than you, Caitlyn. You can prance around at Mar-a-Lago and you can have your head up Donald Trump's ass, but now you can't travel outside the United States. And you know what I have to say about that? It's fucking good.

[45:01] Yeah, you're kind of torn. I know.

Speaker 2:
[45:04] My immediate thought was, oh, I hate that. And then I thought, but I like that it's happening to her.

Speaker 3:
[45:10] And really, for me, it's just how can you be that so self-absorbed that you don't understand how other trans people without the resources and means that you have, the struggles that they're going through. How can you not see that with just this one little sprinkle of a problem that you have in California in your multimillion dollar mansion? How do you not want to reach out and help someone that grows up in a much different environment where it's much more toxic, where you wake up every day and hate is spewed at you simply because you're different, because you are different, not because you chose to be different, but because you are different? I don't understand that. And to Jennifer's point and you too, Pumps, I think we all think that it's an obligation on our part. It's not optional. It's not discretionary. It's an obligation on our part to stand up for marginalized groups of people. It's what I do in my work as a criminal defense lawyer all day. And I think I admire both you and Jennifer for day in, day out, protecting this community, because I know that they need it. And they need a voice and fierce advocates like both of you. So I commend you both.

Speaker 2:
[46:29] Well, thank you. And I would just say having been super from my personal life, when I was rolling around and super Christian and all that, other people's problems didn't apply to me. I was so entitled. I was so narcissistic. I thought I was so personally special that nobody else's problems affected me because I'm special and I'm better and all the things that go with that. And then when that light bulb goes on and that peels away and you realize, I mean, you just, for me, it's like I have to, not you can't erase the wrong, but I have to make the men's.

Speaker 1:
[47:14] You have to atone.

Speaker 2:
[47:15] You have to atone, you know, make the men's for that. And so Caitlyn Jenner, it is time for you to be an upstanding person that talks, speaks out about this.

[47:27] I don't think that's going to happen because we also can throw in sociopathy and psychopathy. And just because you're trans doesn't mean you can't fall prey to that type of issue. So basically, this article goes through, here's Evan. He was devastated about having to tell his boyfriend. He voted for Trump. As you can see on the screen here, he called, he was nervous, and then his boyfriend called him a racist and a white supremacist. Evan is 21 years old. Also, it notes that 83 percent of queer men typically vote Democrat, and they do that because Democrats are a lot more inclusive and promote equality, and the Trump regime has increased all sorts of anti-LGBTQ-plus hate legislation. Move along. People think that I hate myself, says Evan, for being gay or that I'm a gay traitor. Then there's Nick Duncan. He's 43. He can relate to Evan's fears. I mostly get hatred. I never lost a conservative friend because I'm gay, but I lost all my gay friends because I'm conservative, says Duncan. And then Chris Doane, he's 56. Voting Republican is the only choice that makes sense for him. He believes voting for a Democrat goes directly against his interest as a queer man. This is pretty interesting. Conservatives don't want to murder gays. They want them saved, he says. Muslims vote Democrat because if the Democrats win, they get to stay in the US., they get to take power and they will murder gays brutally, blah, blah. So, my point in bringing all of this up is that every, with Caitlyn Jenner, with these gay men here, with Clarence Thomas, with some of the Latinos for Trump, there is a political ideology that they do not value universal human rights. They like the idea of being a marginalized group and probably hate that about themselves for some whatever reason. And they feel like if they can pile on and bully with the patriarchy, then it satisfies something in this. In the case of the guy, the last gay guy there that was like the Muslims and all that, he clearly was just raised by a bunch of racists.

Speaker 3:
[53:07] Right.

Speaker 1:
[53:07] You know, and that can happen to gay people, lesbians. I mean, no, but everybody can fall prey to this shit.

Speaker 3:
[53:15] But what seems to be missing is just the smallest element of common sense. I mean, I'm not trying to paint this in an intellectual, you know, rhyme or, but it's just seriously, and it would welcome embracing some of these issues or having a conversation with some of these people. But I didn't see anywhere in those four or five slides where there was a valid reason for why they voted Republican instead of Democrat, other than I think there was a mention that the Democrats are going to murder them. Yeah. Which is just completely irrational.

Speaker 1:
[53:54] Which the Republicans actually murdered Renee Good, lesbian mother of three kids with her black lab in the back of the car. And then after the ICE agent shot her, he said, what do you say? Fucking bitch. Isn't that what he said to her?

Speaker 2:
[54:10] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[54:11] And so this, you know, it's frustrating as that is, we have, this shows you that you, you have to provide allyship to these groups, whether it be black people and stand really strongly against anti-black racism, white people like us calling out racists in our lives. Everything of research points to that on a person to person way, calling out homophobia, you know, drawing the line with, you know, you're homophobe and that community is under attack and I really don't share values with you and I don't want to do anything with you anymore. It's just that's what it's going to take to stand up for this community, these communities because that's how under attack they are in my opinion.

Speaker 2:
[55:04] No, I agree and I think one, I think one to one, just from my perspective, Jennifer and our relationship and going through, you know, like talking about what I believed, okay, you know, Moses, part of the Red Sea, all that, and you ask factual questions. I think when you present the facts to someone, it requires them to think about it. Whether they admit they're thinking about it or whether, so you have to, it's like a thousand little paper cuts, at least it was for me, point something out and just how, you know, that was racist, I don't appreciate, you know, on and on until you just say, I'm out. And it makes people think, at least that's my perspective.

Speaker 1:
[55:47] Well, and it also, you can't normalize bigotry. Bigots are always looking for a permission structure to be able to be a bigot in peace. Caitlyn Jenner wants to be a bigot towards, bizarrely, the LGBTQ plus community. And she thought that, okay, I like this. I like beating up on all these woke LGBTQ plus people. And I'm Trump's magic trans woman. And he's going to make a curve out for me. And that's just not how it works. And it goes to Josh's larger point. There's an ignorant stupidity factor to this as well. You know, like lacking self-awareness observational skills.

Speaker 3:
[56:28] There are. And we run into that. And also in rural areas where I think some people are well intended, but they're not very educated or they haven't been subjected to a lot of different cultures and different types of people. And so if I say someone is ignorant, I don't necessarily mean that in a derogatory way, but there's a lot of, you know.

Speaker 1:
[56:52] I do.

Speaker 3:
[56:53] You do. I'm not as informed on certain things as other people, but the one thing I do agree with, with both of you, is when it does come to racism and marginalized groups, I think it's smart to be very unapologetic about having their backs and calling it out and normalizing that. And sometimes when you do that, it requires you to get down in the mud with these motherfuckers, for lack of a better word, and sling it with them. And whether that's good, whether that's bad, you're doing it because you're protecting a group of people that not very many people have the courage to stand up for. And that makes it right, in my opinion.

Speaker 1:
[57:38] Yeah, no one is a better defender and confronter. No one is a better confronter of racism than Josh Welch. I mean, he just absolutely positively will call out a racist bigot immediately. And if he thinks somebody's a racist, if they even kind of look like a racist, he's like, they're not allowed in our house. When Colin Kaepernick was treated like shit by the NFL, Josh was so outraged. He comes to me and he's like, I'm banning the NFL in the house. I don't want you watching the NFL. I'm like, I'm going to sneak off and watch Dallas Cowboys or something. You know, like whatever. But it enraged him for years the way Colin Kaepernick was treated. The worst part of racism, the worst part of homophobia, the worst part of transphobia are the people that allow the racists and the bigots in their life to operate with impunity. That's the worst part because if you go to Josh's point, the racist or the transphobe or the homophobe is ignorant to their racism. The person who knows it's racist, who knows how dangerous it is, who knows how bigoted it is, that doesn't call it out, that's the worst. That is the worst, most dangerous part of racism, the people that allow it, that know better. Those are racist enablers. I think that's far worse than the people who live out in the trailer park in rural Oklahoma or rural Tennessee, that have been served up this, here's your scapegoat, here's the people you hate, here's why you can't have nice things, here's why your wages never go up, here's why you can't have health care. The people who know better are the worst perpetuators of racism, in my opinion.

And I will say this, at many of your shows, you've had maybe a trans child and a parent that's come up to each of you, and then you hear these stories about how the parent has had to think about things differently and evolve because of their child. And a lot of these people are in smaller, more rural communities and more traditional states or conservative states. And so, good for those people. Good for those people for seeing things. I'm sorry that it took maybe your child to be trans, for you to understand this, but welcome. We embrace you. Thank you for your support. But you see that a lot. And it's your shows, both of your shows, you have kids that come up all the time and thank both of you for what you do and how much it means to people. So don't ever forget that. I know both of you won't because you take it so seriously, but it's such an important thing that you do. And I see it day in and day out when I'm with Jennifer. So thanks for having me.
