[01:10] This is Trivia for Kids, where it's not just for adults anymore.

Speaker 4:
[01:24] Hey everybody, thanks for joining us for another episode of Trivia for Kids, the podcast.

Speaker 3:
[01:30] I'm Quinn.

Speaker 5:
[01:31] Oh, I'm KC.

Speaker 4:
[01:32] You jumped right in, I didn't expect that.

Speaker 5:
[01:34] How are you today, Quinn?

Speaker 6:
[01:35] I'm tired.

Speaker 4:
[01:36] You have not been able to get a lot of sleep lately. You've been very busy with soccer and school musical practice, so I bet you are tired. Are you gonna take a nap today?

Speaker 6:
[01:46] Nope.

Speaker 4:
[01:47] Why not? I would take a nap anytime if I was allowed. Why don't you like to take naps?

Speaker 6:
[01:52] I do take naps. I just am not feeling like it today. There are things I want to do. Like what? I want to clean, and I need to go to Walmart.

Speaker 4:
[02:00] Okay. Well, I'm good with both of those, so we can do that. But first, we need to do some jokes. Do some jokes. Our first joke comes from Millie, who is 7, and she is from Carmel by the Sea, California.

Speaker 6:
[02:15] Thank you, Millie.

Speaker 4:
[02:16] Where do books like to sleep?

Speaker 5:
[02:20] I don't know.

Speaker 4:
[02:21] Under their covers, of course.

Speaker 5:
[02:24] I haven't heard that one before.

Speaker 6:
[02:25] That's good.

Speaker 4:
[02:26] Our next joke comes from Harry Munn, who is 8, and he is from Nottingham in the UK.

Speaker 6:
[02:32] Thank you, Harry.

Speaker 4:
[02:34] What place can never something?

Speaker 6:
[02:38] I have no idea.

Speaker 5:
[02:40] The Netherlands. And our last joke comes from JoJo, who is 8, and from Pittsburgh.

Speaker 6:
[02:48] Thank you, JoJo.

Speaker 5:
[02:49] Why did the crab cross the road?

Speaker 4:
[02:54] He didn't.

Speaker 5:
[02:54] He used the sidewalk. Because crabs walk sideways, he used the sidewalk. I love it. All right, thank you for the jokes, everybody.

Speaker 6:
[03:04] Thank you, guys.

Speaker 5:
[03:06] All right, Quinn, it is time for some trivia.

Speaker 6:
[03:09] Let's do it.

Speaker 3:
[03:12] Here's how the show works. Trivia for Kids consists of five rounds with seven questions each. We will announce the answers at the end of each round. Each new round will have a different category. After the fifth round, we will have the final exam, which will test you on the toughest questions we have covered in the previous rounds. Everyone ready? Let's get started.

Speaker 4:
[03:40] Round one, the category is YouTube. Question one, which Minecraft YouTuber never shows his face and wears a smiley mask? Question two. Which YouTuber boxes and runs a drink brand called Prime? Question three. Which creator's early YouTube career involved counting to 100,000 in a video that took over 40 hours to complete? Question four. Which nursery rhyme YouTube channel is currently the third most popular as of April, 2026? Question five. Which Dude Perfect member is the tallest? Question six, what is Kids Diana's older brother's name? Question seven. Which YouTuber goes on silly adventures where kids help solve challenges by moving their bodies? Danny Goh, Mark Rober, or Goh Noodle? Parent Challenge, as of April 2026, which musical artist or group has the most YouTube subscribers? Justin Bieber, Blackpink, or Taylor Swift? And now the round one answers. Question one. Which Minecraft YouTuber never shows his face and wears a smiley mask?

Speaker 3:
[05:56] Dreamer.

Speaker 4:
[05:56] His name is Dream, that is correct. His mystery identity made him even more famous.

Speaker 5:
[06:03] Question two.

Speaker 4:
[06:04] Which YouTuber boxes and runs a drink brand called Prime?

Speaker 3:
[06:10] Mr. Beast.

Speaker 4:
[06:12] It is not Mr. Beast.

Speaker 5:
[06:13] The answer is Logan Paul or KSI, you could have said.

Speaker 4:
[06:17] Do you know who they are?

Speaker 3:
[06:19] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[06:19] The only thing I know about Logan Paul is that he bought the most expensive Pokemon card in the world. We learned that on a different episode. Do you remember that?

Speaker 3:
[06:27] Yeah. How much money was it again?

Speaker 4:
[06:29] Over a million dollars, I remember he bought a Pokemon card. That's what I know about Logan Paul. I did not know that he was the guy who did Prime. Question 3. Which creator's early YouTube career involved counting to 100,000 in a video that took over 40 hours to complete?

Speaker 3:
[06:47] I don't know.

Speaker 4:
[06:48] The answer is MrBeast. He counted to 100,000.

Speaker 5:
[06:52] Could you do that?

Speaker 3:
[06:54] No.

Speaker 4:
[06:54] Do you know how long 40 hours is? It's over a day and a half that he had to count to get to 100,000. Question 4. Which Nursery Rhyme YouTube channel is currently the third most popular as of April 2026?

Speaker 3:
[07:11] I don't know.

Speaker 4:
[07:12] The answer is Cocomelon. You were kind of on the edge of Cocomelon. It started after you were that age to watch it. So we never watched Cocomelon in our house, but it's super popular of all the channels right now. It is number 3, like the most of all the channels. Crazy. Question 5, which Dude Perfect member is the tallest?

Speaker 5:
[07:33] Cody. Cody is the tallest.

Speaker 4:
[07:35] You're right. But who is your favorite Dude Perfect?

Speaker 5:
[07:38] Kobe.

Speaker 4:
[07:39] You and I share a favorite. My favorite is also Kobe. Kobe is also Quinn's favorite. So we are a Kobe-likin group, I guess. Cody, I like Cody too though.

Speaker 3:
[07:47] My dad likes Cody.

Speaker 4:
[07:49] Dad's favorite is Cody. Brooks was literally just watching Dude Perfect, and we had this conversation like 10 minutes ago. Question six, what is Kids Diana's older brother's name?

Speaker 3:
[08:01] I don't know.

Speaker 4:
[08:02] His name is Roma. She also has two younger brothers named Oliver and Adam. So Kid Diana is this girl named Diana who makes these videos that are super popular, and a lot of times her brothers with her, and his name is Roma. Question seven, which YouTuber goes on silly adventures where kids help solve challenges by moving their bodies? Danny Goh, Mark Rober, or Goh Noodle?

Speaker 3:
[08:30] Danny Goh.

Speaker 5:
[08:31] Danny Goh is correct.

Speaker 4:
[08:32] You used to watch Danny Goh, and I remember you running along in the living room, and then you had to jump out of the way because there were obstacles that would come at you, right?

Speaker 3:
[08:41] We do that in counseling every single time.

Speaker 4:
[08:45] You do that in counseling?

Speaker 3:
[08:46] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[08:46] You wiggle your bodies to get your wiggles out?

Speaker 3:
[08:48] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[08:49] It's a good idea. Parent Challenge, as of April 2026, which musical artist or group has the most YouTube subscribers? Justin Bieber, Blackpink, or Taylor Swift?

Speaker 3:
[09:04] Justin Bieber.

Speaker 4:
[09:05] The answer is Blackpink. As of February 2026, the K-pop girl group Blackpink is the most subscribed music artist on YouTube, becoming the first to exceed 100 million subscribers. They actually surpassed 100 million subscribers on their official artist channel in February of 26, solidifying their spot as the leading music act on the platform.

Speaker 5:
[09:34] Wow.

Speaker 4:
[09:35] We do not have that many, but we would like that many.

Speaker 3:
[09:38] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[09:38] If you are not subscribed to Trivia for Kids, the podcast on YouTube, please subscribe. We've got a lot of fun stuff on there, including all of our podcasts and fun family things that we do, and silly things that I do.

Speaker 5:
[09:52] So you guys should check us out.

Speaker 3:
[09:53] And we're going to do something in summer.

Speaker 4:
[09:56] We are. There is something exciting coming up this summer. Stay tuned and subscribe. Round number two, the category is jungle animals. All of today's jungle animal questions come from Kids Discover, and this week, their digital learning platform reminded me of something really fun. It gives kids that I want to click the next thing feeling. You know how jungle animals are always on the move? That's exactly how Kids Discover keeps kids learning. Every article leads to another cool visual, another idea to explore, another connection to make. It turns curiosity into momentum, and honestly, that's what makes their platform so special. Kids don't just read, they chase new knowledge. Question 1. Which type of great ape did Jane Goodall famously study? Gorillas, chimpanzees, or bonobos? Question two. What is the largest feline species found in the Amazon rainforest? Jaguar, leopard, or tiger? Question three. What is the world's smallest monkey, often found in South American jungles? Tarsiers, pygmy marmoset, or squirrel monkeys? Question four. Which primate is known for having a beard and a very loud call that can be heard from miles away? Question five. A black caiman is an apex predator of the Amazon waterways. What reptile is the caiman closely related to? Alligators, komodo dragons, or sea turtles? Question six. Which jungle spider is large enough to eat small birds? A giant huntsman, a Goliath bird eater, or a king baboon? Question seven. What is the wing span of the Queen Alexandra's bird wing, which is the world's largest butterfly? Seven inches, 11 inches, or 16 inches? Parrot Challenge. What is a group of parrots called? A peck, a pandemonium, or a plaster? And now the round two answers. Question one. What type of great ape did Jane Goodall famously study? Gorillas, chimpanzees, or bonobos?

Speaker 6:
[13:25] Chimpanzees.

Speaker 4:
[13:26] That is correct. Jane Goodall spent decades observing chimpanzees, discovering that they use tools and have complex social lives. So she lived in the jungles, right with these chimpanzees, and they grew to trust her so she could like be around them and study them. And would you live in the jungle?

Speaker 6:
[13:46] No.

Speaker 5:
[13:47] No. No chance.

Speaker 6:
[13:48] I think it would be so cool to like look around and see all that stuff, but no, I could not do that. In the humidity and the dangerous animals.

Speaker 4:
[13:56] Well, she had passion and she went with it. Question two. What is the largest feline species found in the Amazon rainforest? A jaguar, a leopard, or a tiger?

Speaker 6:
[14:10] A tiger.

Speaker 4:
[14:11] The answer is the jaguar. Jaguars are the top predators of the Amazon, and they are excellent swimmers. So, on top of all the other things to worry about in the Amazon, like boa constrictors and stuff like that, we worry about those jaguars. I've got for those jaguars when you're swimming.

Speaker 6:
[14:28] Aren't tigers bigger than them, though?

Speaker 4:
[14:30] They are, but tigers are not in the Amazon. Question three. What is the world's smallest monkey often found in the South American jungles? Tarsiers, pygmy marmoset, or squirrel monkeys?

Speaker 6:
[14:46] I'm gonna say tarsiers.

Speaker 4:
[14:47] The answer is the pygmy marmoset. These tiny primates are often called finger monkeys because of their small size. They are, in fact, the smallest in the world and reach a maximum height of five to six inches. So remember when you had fingerlings when you guys were little?

Speaker 6:
[15:07] Yes.

Speaker 4:
[15:08] That's as big as a pygmy marmoset. Or that tiny five to six inches.

Speaker 6:
[15:12] Like a full grown?

Speaker 4:
[15:13] That's like the size of a pencil, but not as tall as a pencil. Yes, full grown.

Speaker 6:
[15:17] So then what is it like a newborn one?

Speaker 4:
[15:19] Oh my goodness.

Speaker 6:
[15:20] Oh my word. That'd be so cute.

Speaker 4:
[15:21] Let's see it. Question four. Which primate is known for having a beard and a very loud call that can be heard from miles away?

Speaker 6:
[15:32] Is this one an orangutan?

Speaker 4:
[15:34] This is a howler monkey. I didn't give you multiple choice because I thought the loud call would have given you the answer. Howler monkeys have specialized throat bones that amplify their calls to defend their territory. So when Dan and I went to Costa Rica, we went on an excursion where we got to ride four-wheelers through this jungle area, and there were howler monkeys in the trees above us. It was the coolest thing ever. Question five. A black caiman is an apex predator of the Amazon waterways. What reptile is the caiman closely related to? Alligators, Komodo dragons, or sea turtles?

Speaker 6:
[16:21] Komodo dragons.

Speaker 4:
[16:22] The answer is alligators. Caimans are usually smaller and more aggressive than their generally docile alligator relatives. So a caiman looks almost just like an alligator or a crocodile, just smaller and apparently more aggressive.

Speaker 6:
[16:37] So it's like, wait, if it's smaller, then how is it like more dangerous, you know?

Speaker 5:
[16:41] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[16:41] Well, if it's more aggressive, and it's in the Amazon, so watch out for boas, jaguars, and now caimans.

Speaker 5:
[16:47] Question six.

Speaker 4:
[16:48] What jungle spider is large enough to eat small birds? A giant huntsman, a Goliath bird eater, or a king baboon?

Speaker 6:
[16:59] Bird eater.

Speaker 4:
[17:00] The Goliath bird eater is correct. This member of the spider family is the largest spider by mass in the world. It is about the size of a dinner plate.

Speaker 6:
[17:10] Oh my word.

Speaker 4:
[17:11] No. Could you even?

Speaker 6:
[17:13] Oh, still make a picture of that.

Speaker 4:
[17:16] Question seven. What is the wingspan of the Queen Alexandra's bird wing, the world's largest butterfly? Seven inches, 11 inches, or 16 inches?

Speaker 6:
[17:30] I'm going to say seven, because the other two is almost like too insane to imagine.

Speaker 4:
[17:34] The answer is up to 11 inches. These butterflies are found only in the rainforests of Papua New Guinea. So 11 inches. If you think of the ruler that you have in your desk, that's 12 inches. Take away one inch, which is just tiny. And the butterfly's wings are that wide.

Speaker 7:
[17:53] That is crazy to think about.

Speaker 5:
[17:54] I like butterflies, but I would not like that one.

Speaker 6:
[17:56] If I saw that one in the wild, I'd pull out a fly's water.

Speaker 5:
[17:59] It would probably eat your fly's water. Oh my word, no.

Speaker 4:
[18:03] Parent challenge. What is a group of parrots called? A peck, a pandemonium, or a plaster?

Speaker 6:
[18:11] A plaster.

Speaker 4:
[18:12] A pandemonium of parrots is the answer. Love it.

Speaker 6:
[18:16] A pandemonium of pandas.

Speaker 4:
[18:19] No, pandas are an embarrassment.

Speaker 5:
[18:21] Oh, yeah. It's pandemonium. All of these parrots are around.

Speaker 4:
[18:27] Round number three, the category is sports. Question one, what sport is played at Wimbledon? Question two, how many numbers are on a dartboard? Question three. What is the musical nickname of the NBA team in Utah? Question four, in what sport would you find a pommel horse? Question five. What is the name of the cylinder that is passed between runners in a relay race? Question six. Can you name two of the five NFL teams whose nickname is a bird? Question seven. The next FIFA World Cup soccer tournament is happening in North America this year in 2026. Which country won the last FIFA World Cup title in 2022? France, Argentina, or Brazil? Parent Challenge. What does the winner of the Masters Golf Tournament receive?

Speaker 5:
[20:24] Answers to the third round.

Speaker 4:
[20:26] Question one. What sport is played at Wimbledon? The answer is tennis. It is the world's oldest tennis tournament, and the only Grand Slam event that is still played on natural grass courts. The championships hosted by the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club feature top level international competition, including Gentlemen's and Ladies' Singles and Doubles. So Wimbledon is a super famous tennis tournament in England.

Speaker 3:
[21:02] But how does the ball bounce on the grass?

Speaker 4:
[21:05] That's a really good question. It's really short grass, so it bounces pretty easily. Question two. How many numbers are on a dartboard?

Speaker 3:
[21:15] Ten.

Speaker 4:
[21:16] The answer is twenty. So the number twenty is at the very top of the dartboard, and then it kind of is a mixture. Then it goes one and...

Speaker 3:
[21:25] And there's also a fifty.

Speaker 5:
[21:27] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[21:27] If you hit the bullseye, you get fifty.

Speaker 5:
[21:28] You're right.

Speaker 4:
[21:29] Question three. What is the musical nickname of the NBA team in Utah?

Speaker 7:
[21:36] Jazz.

Speaker 4:
[21:37] The Utah Jazz is correct. Question four. In what sport would you find a pommel horse?

Speaker 7:
[21:45] I don't know.

Speaker 4:
[21:46] The answer is gymnastics. So a pommel horse is an event that is only in men's gymnastics. And it kind of looks like, kind of a cylinder, but not perfectly circle. And then it has two handles on it. And the men lift themselves up on this pommel horse, and they spin around on it, and they do handstands, and they spin, and they whip their legs around, and they go back and forth, and do all kinds of stuff, and then they flip off of it and land. And that's the pommel horse.

Speaker 3:
[22:19] And why can't girls do it?

Speaker 4:
[22:21] Well, that's a good question. There are some events that men have that women don't, and there are some that women have that men don't. Like, men don't have balance beam, but they have pommel horse, so it's just different. Question five. What is the name of the cylinder that is passed between runners in a relay race?

Speaker 3:
[22:41] It's on.

Speaker 4:
[22:42] Ooh, that's close. It's actually called a butt-on, but you're close. So it kind of looks like a paper towel tube that you would have when you run out of paper towels, except it's metal. And the runners in a relay, the first one runs with the baton, and then when it's the second person's turn, they take off and the first person hands the baton to the second one, and then they go and so on.

Speaker 3:
[23:04] It's kind of like football. It's kind of like running backs and foot quarterbacks.

Speaker 4:
[23:10] Right. Except they're getting handed a baton instead of the football, right?

Speaker 3:
[23:13] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[23:14] Question six. Can you name two of the five NFL teams whose nickname is a bird?

Speaker 3:
[23:22] Ravens.

Speaker 4:
[23:23] Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 3:
[23:25] And Eagles.

Speaker 4:
[23:26] Ravens and Eagles is correct. Can you name all five?

Speaker 3:
[23:30] Seahawks.

Speaker 4:
[23:31] There you go. Two more.

Speaker 3:
[23:33] Falcons.

Speaker 4:
[23:33] There you go. One more. Do you want to hint?

Speaker 3:
[23:37] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[23:37] Arizona. Cardinals. Arizona Cardinals is the last one. All five are the Arizona Cardinals, the Atlanta Falcons, the Baltimore Ravens, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Seattle Seahawks. Question seven. The next FIFA World Cup soccer tournament is happening in North America this year in 2026. Which country won the last FIFA World Cup title in 2022? France, Argentina, or Brazil?

Speaker 5:
[24:09] Brazil. The answer is Argentina.

Speaker 4:
[24:12] Argentina. Argentina won the last FIFA Men's World Cup in 2022. They defeated France in a penalty shootout after a 3-3 draw in the final match which was held in Qatar on December 18th, 2022, securing Argentina's third World Cup title.

Speaker 5:
[24:32] Parent Challenge.

Speaker 4:
[24:33] What does the winner of the Masters Golf Tournament receive?

Speaker 3:
[24:39] A green jacket.

Speaker 4:
[24:40] A green jacket is correct. And who just won the Masters last weekend?

Speaker 3:
[24:45] My favorite, Rory McElroy.

Speaker 5:
[24:48] Rory McElroy. He's both of our favorites. Yep.

Speaker 4:
[24:51] And that was his second time in a row.

Speaker 3:
[24:53] Yeah.

Speaker 4:
[24:53] Yeah. There's not very many guys that have done that, and Rory just did it. Good job, Rory.

Speaker 3:
[24:58] Good job.

Speaker 4:
[24:59] Round four of the category is engineering. And thanks to Kids Discover for this engineering round as well. Their digital learning platform is awesome because it shows kids that every invention starts with a simple idea and a little bit of curiosity. The way they pair visuals with explanations makes kids feel like they're peeking inside the mind of a real engineer. It's fun, it's inspiring, and it gets those problem-solving gears turning.

Speaker 5:
[25:31] Thanks Kids Discover.

Speaker 4:
[25:33] Question 1. In the imagine phase of engineering, engineers come up with many ideas without judging them. What is this called? Brainstorming, archiving, or formatting? Question two. Which shape is considered the strongest for building bridges and the great wall? Question three. Which ancient civilization built aqueducts to carry water over long distances? The Aztecs, the Romans, or the Vikings? Question four. What simple machines were likely used to build the Egyptian pyramids? Steam engines, inclined planes and levers, or electricity? Question five. Which type of bridge uses long cables to hang the road deck? A beam bridge, an arch bridge, or a suspension bridge? Question six. Where is the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, located? New York City, Dubai, or Paris? Question seven. What do aerospace engineers design? Parent Challenge. Engineers studied shark skin to design what? Faster swimsuits, better sandpaper, or waterproof shoes? Answers to round number four, question one. In the imagine phase of engineering, engineers come up with many ideas without judging them. What is this called? Brainstorming, archiving, or formatting?

Speaker 6:
[28:08] Brainstorming.

Speaker 4:
[28:10] You are correct. Brainstorming encourages creativity and ensures that many different potential solutions are considered. Brainstorming is a great thing, because really you're just throwing out ideas, and then you're talking them through, and you're saying like, oh, I like that. Oh, that's not going to work.

Speaker 5:
[28:27] Oh, let's try this.

Speaker 4:
[28:28] So it's just basically trying things out.

Speaker 6:
[28:30] It's great.

Speaker 4:
[28:31] It works in a lot of things rather than just engineering. Question two, which shape is considered the strongest for building bridges and the great wall?

Speaker 6:
[28:42] Square?

Speaker 4:
[28:43] The answer is a triangle. Triangles are the strongest shape because they do not form easily under pressure, which is why they are used in tresses.

Speaker 6:
[28:54] I did not know that those were made out of triangles.

Speaker 4:
[28:57] You answered square, which was a good guess. But since a square has a flat top, that top might begin to sag, so that would make the structure less safe, but a triangle comes to a point, so all of the pressure goes to that one point and it evens it out, which means that it stays stronger longer.

Speaker 6:
[29:15] Interesting.

Speaker 4:
[29:17] Question three, which ancient civilization built aqueducts to carry water over long distances? The Aztecs, the Romans, or the Vikings?

Speaker 7:
[29:29] I'm going to say the Aztecs.

Speaker 4:
[29:32] The answer is the Romans. Roman engineers used gravity and precise slopes to move fresh water from the mountains into the cities. They used their brains to make the water go so they didn't have to haul it anymore.

Speaker 6:
[29:48] That's smart.

Speaker 4:
[29:49] Question four, what simple machines were likely used to build the Egyptian pyramids? Steam engines, inclined planes and levers, or electricity?

Speaker 6:
[30:02] Planes and levers.

Speaker 4:
[30:04] That's right. These simple tools allowed workers to move massive stone blocks that would be impossible to lift by hand. Question five, which type of bridge uses long cables to hang the road deck? A beam bridge, an arch bridge, or a suspension bridge?

Speaker 6:
[30:24] A suspension bridge.

Speaker 4:
[30:26] That is correct. The Golden Gate Bridge is a famous example of a suspension bridge. So what does it mean when something is suspended?

Speaker 6:
[30:34] It's like held up by wires or something.

Speaker 4:
[30:36] Kind of like hanging or held up by something. So a suspension bridge has those long wires that kind of hold up the road, plus some trusses on the bottom. But yeah, that's what the Golden Gate Bridge is. It has all of those big heavy wires that hold it up.

Speaker 6:
[30:51] How thick are they? Like, could I cut through it?

Speaker 4:
[30:53] Definitely not. I don't know the exact measurement, but I would just say super thick. Question 6. Where is the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, located? New York City, Dubai, or Paris?

Speaker 6:
[31:10] Dubai.

Speaker 4:
[31:11] It is in Dubai. The Burj Khalifa stands at 828 meters and required specialized engineering to withstand the high desert winds. I would love to visit Dubai. I think it's a really cool looking place.

Speaker 6:
[31:25] I wouldn't try their chocolate though. Pistachio chocolate does not seem very sweet.

Speaker 4:
[31:30] Skip the chocolate. Climb to the tallest building. Question seven. What do aerospace engineers design?

Speaker 6:
[31:39] Space equipment.

Speaker 4:
[31:40] Yeah, I'll take that. The answer is rockets and satellites. They focus on vehicles and tools that operate in the Earth's atmosphere or in space. Do you have any interest in being an aerospace engineer, Quinn?

Speaker 7:
[31:53] No.

Speaker 4:
[31:54] Engineering is not for you?

Speaker 7:
[31:55] No.

Speaker 4:
[31:56] Parrot challenge. Engineers studied shark skin to design what? Faster swimsuits, better sandpaper, or waterproof shoes?

Speaker 6:
[32:08] I'm going to say faster swimsuits.

Speaker 4:
[32:10] You're right. The texture of shark skin reduces drag in the water, an idea that was copied by engineers. Okay, quick pause. In Yankee Doodle, what does he call the feather in his hat? Question four. In ring around the rosy, what flower are your pockets full of? Question five. In pop goes the weasel. What animal is chasing the weasel around the mulberry bush? Question six. How fast does the singer want the baker to bake the cake in the song, Pat-a-cake? Question seven. Who did the three blind mice run after? Parent challenge. What street does the muffin man live on? And now the answers to the last round. Question one. In the song, The Wheels on the Bus, what do the wipers do?

Speaker 7:
[34:54] Swish, swish, swish.

Speaker 4:
[34:55] The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish. All through the town. I think my favorite wheels on the bus was the mommies that go, shh, shh, shh. Or the babies that go, wah, wah, wah. Question two. What shape is a star described as in Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star?

Speaker 7:
[35:18] A diamond.

Speaker 4:
[35:19] Like a diamond in the sky. Twinkle, twinkle, little star.

Speaker 7:
[35:26] How I wonder what you are.

Speaker 4:
[35:29] A diamond is the answer. Question three. In Yankee Doodle, what does he call the feather in his hat?

Speaker 7:
[35:38] Macaroni.

Speaker 4:
[35:39] Stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni. So listen to this. In the 1700s, macaroni was a slang term for being very fashionable and fancy. So he wasn't saying that the feather was macaroni. He was saying that once he stuck a feather in his hat, his look was macaroni. Very fashionable and fancy.

Speaker 7:
[36:03] Interesting.

Speaker 4:
[36:03] Interesting, Ren. Today you look macaroni.

Speaker 7:
[36:07] I'm not too sure about that.

Speaker 4:
[36:09] Question four. In Ring Around the Rosie, what flower are your pockets full of?

Speaker 7:
[36:16] Posies.

Speaker 4:
[36:17] Ring around the rosie, pocket full of posies. Ashes, ashes, we all fall down. Posies is correct. Question five. In Pop Goes the Weasel, what animal is chasing the weasel around the mulberry bush?

Speaker 7:
[36:36] I don't remember.

Speaker 4:
[36:37] All around the mulberry bush, the monkey chased the weasel. Monkey is the answer. Monkeys do not typically chase weasels, as they do not share the same habitats in the wild. The phrase, the monkey chased the weasel, is part of the nursery rhyme, Pop Goes the Weasel, and does not reflect real animal behavior. Also, when we pick mulberries every summer on the farm in South Dakota, and they grow on trees, they're not in a bush, so maybe mulberries also grow in bushes, but when we eat mulberries, they're on trees. Question six, how fast does the singer want the baker to bake the cake in the song, Pettacake?

Speaker 7:
[37:21] As fast as you can.

Speaker 5:
[37:22] As fast as he can is correct.

Speaker 4:
[37:24] Pettacake, Pettacake, baker's man.

Speaker 5:
[37:26] Bake me a cake as fast as you can.

Speaker 4:
[37:29] And then everybody has their own version.

Speaker 7:
[37:31] Roll it and roll it and put it in the pie. That's the cake for a baby and a... What? I don't know.

Speaker 4:
[37:38] I never heard that one. What did you just say?

Speaker 7:
[37:41] Roll it and roll it and put it in a pie. That's the cake for a baby and a...

Speaker 5:
[37:44] Who taught you that one?

Speaker 4:
[37:46] Because I've never heard of that.

Speaker 6:
[37:47] I have no clue.

Speaker 4:
[37:48] I always said, roll it in, roll it in, throw it in the pan. And then I would take your arms, and go, shoot my penis as you can.

Speaker 7:
[37:55] Yeah, that's it. I just completely changed the words.

Speaker 4:
[37:59] Question seven. Who did the three blind mice run after?

Speaker 7:
[38:04] I can't remember.

Speaker 4:
[38:05] Three blind mice, three blind mice.

Speaker 5:
[38:08] See how they run. See how they run.

Speaker 4:
[38:11] They all ran after the farmer's wife. The farmer's wife.

Speaker 5:
[38:16] She cut off their tails with a carving knife.

Speaker 4:
[38:18] Oh, that would really hurt if you were one of the mice.

Speaker 5:
[38:22] That's not how it goes.

Speaker 7:
[38:23] I forgot about that part.

Speaker 4:
[38:25] Parent challenge. What street does the muffin man live on?

Speaker 7:
[38:31] Drury Lane.

Speaker 4:
[38:32] There it is. Do you know the muffin man, the muffin man, the muffin man? Do you know the muffin man who lives on Drury Lane?

Speaker 7:
[38:43] Every time I answer these questions, my brain go...

Speaker 4:
[38:48] You have to re-sing it from your childhood, right? And now it's time for the final exam. Now remember, you've heard these questions in the previous rounds, but these were the hardest ones we've had. So use your memory and try to think back to what the answers are. Question one.
