Speaker 1:
[00:01] One of my favorite cardinals, his eminence, Cardinal Pizzaballa, patriarch of Jerusalem, has come out with a strong, powerful rebuke of the Israeli government. And he's had several statements, but this most recent one is targeted at this now infamous image that's gone all over the internet. Here's, I think, one of the original tweets from Lebanon, an Israeli soldier smashing the head of a Jesus Christ statue during operations in southern Lebanon. And let me tell you what, Cardinal Pizzaballa, he's a Bala. He's a sigma. He's on his own. And I really wanted Cardinal Pizzaballa to become Pope. And I think God knew what he was doing by leaving him there in Jerusalem to guide his little flock there in the Holy Land. And I want to use this topic. And we're going to read Cardinal Pizzaballa's rebuke. It's very strong. He condemns it as sinful. And he calls for the Israeli government not only to apologize and make amends, but also to make assurances that this never happens again. Today in the podcast, I'm going to go through a timeline from October 7th, 2023 to this day and give you the timeline of the attacks on Christians by the Israeli government. Targeted Christian attacks, many of which say, oh, they're an accident. We don't know why this missile blew up this Christian church. We're going to look into it. But as you go through the list, which I'm going to take you through the timeline, you're going to realize there sure are a lot of accidents happening over there against Christians. So yes, I am re-recording this show. I did this live yesterday and my software asked me to update. And so I updated the software. And of course, everything was crashing. So hopefully everything is fixed now. I've restarted my machine, gone through all the troubleshooting. And I think we're good today, but I will be watching. And I got my moderator, Joey and Dan. And they're saying it looks and sounds good. So everybody pray for Joey's son, little Joseph too. He's got a doctor's appointment today. All right. Cardinal Pizzaballa. Great name. It's a fantastic name. He's got a tough situation on his hand because the Israeli government is propped up by the United States of America. Military, financial, everything. Your tax dollars are going over there for all kinds of things. That's a very powerful situation. It's a very powerful ally. And of course, we have an American Pope now, Pope Leo XIV. We've got Cardinal Pizzaballa over there. Cardinal Pizzaballa is an Italian. Set the stage for you. And here's the problem. It's the ideology, and I'll just say it's the theology of Benjamin Netanyahu and those in the regime, the Israeli regime. And I want, as I explain it to you, I want you to compare it in your mind to what was going on in the Germanic lands in the 1930s and 40s. All right. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli claim. The Israeli claim is there is a genetic people, Jews, there's a genetic people with a DNA demographic that are special and unique and distinct from the rest of the world. If you read the Talmud, they'll say that they're better than the Gentiles. The Gentiles are like animals. This special DNA demographic, the Jews, they're actually the best. Sound kind of like 1930s, 40s, Germany. And not only that, because this special demographic has important DNA, excellent DNA. You might even say, divinely infused DNA from their perspective. Christians wouldn't say that. That they are entitled to land. And because of their, and also if you don't have that DNA, that special DNA, you can't be a part of that culture or nation or custom. You can't have citizenship. And you might be exported. You might be attacked. Your lands may be confiscated. You might be rounded up and placed in a certain area until they can figure out what to do with you. Sounds kind of like 1930s, 1940s Germany. But we're back over here to Israel. And because this nation is only for a certain genetic DNA group of people, they have a right to the land. And not only do they have a right to the land, they have a right to expand the land, to take more and more territory, to move to the west through Gaza, to move to the north into Lebanon, maybe even south Egypt, Sinai Peninsula, maybe even get over the Jordan River into the geographic real estate that was held and promised by after Moses to Joshua. You know, read Joshua, Judges, Ruth, first king, second king, all those, you'll get the idea. And what's scary about this is a lot of nations on earth, including the United States are like, yeah, this is great, we love this, Netanyahu. We believe that y'all have a special DNA that entitles you to have a government with no celebrated diversity, Jews and Jews only. And that entitles you to the land by a divine right. And not only do you have the land, you also have the right to expand the land for your people. The crazy thing is, and attack indigenous populations that have already been there and expel them, blow them up, blow up their churches, kill their priests. And to me, it's amazing that a lot of people can't see this. I think it's because they're dispensationalists, they're Christian Zionists, their whole life they've been told, oh, chosen people, send money to Israel, chosen people. But they don't realize that these arguments, if you just say, Aryan nation, if you say Aryan DNA, if you say Germanic Teutonic lands, expanding and reestablishing the Germanic Teutonic lands, attacking those who are within the presumed borders of the Germanic people, expelling them, attacking them, putting them in camps. It's really the same thing. So we're going to talk about that today. We're going to talk about Cardinal Pizzaballa. I'm going to read his statement, which I think is just excellent. I couldn't have written anything better than this. Cardinal Pizzaballa gets a 10 out of 10, an A plus plus plus. Before I do, though, I want to remind you that we're coming up on the feast of Saint George. He's one of my favorite feasts. He's one of the most important martyrs of the early church. And several years ago, I wrote a best selling historical fiction novel on Saint George. It's called Sword and Serpent. You can see it on the screen and you can order at Amazon or you can order it at my website, my store, taylormarshall.com/store. It's also in the bar here under YouTube. And this is basically a historical fiction that takes what might look like the fantasy realm of magic and miracles and saints and mystics and by location, but it's all rooted in the Catholic worldview. And so I take some of the greatest saints of that time, 299 AD, and you have Saint Blaise and Saint George and Saint Christopher and Saint Helen and Constantine and Saint Catherine and on and on. And it's a wonderful adventure. And yes, it does end with George slaying the dragon, but you'll be surprised on who the dragon is, what the dragon represents and how George slays the dragon. So if you're interested in that, if you have a young person, honestly, I wrote this book for adolescents, teenagers, and it's become a huge hit with adults. I would say most people who read this book now are adults, even though that wasn't the intention. So if you're looking for a great read, I'd encourage you to get a copy of my book, Sword and Serpent. Also, our sponsor today is a great one, and I really want you guys to check him out, and that is Wild Alaskan Company. You know, Wild Alaskan offers you wild caught fish. And if you're a Catholic, a traditional Catholic, and you don't eat meat on Fridays, you keep it as a day of penance, it's hard to source fish. It's expensive. Sometimes you pay money on fish, you get it home, you open it, you're like, does this smell right? What happened here? And the solution is Wild Alaskan Company. All right, no more mystery seafood. You know exactly what you're getting. And this is not farm fish. This is wild caught fish in Alaska. So they have a number of different varieties. I personally would like to recommend the sockeye salmon, the coho salmon, the Pacific halibut. You can get packages of different varieties of fish, or you can just stick to one. And if you use the promo code Taylor and go to wildalaskan.com/taylor, you'll get $35 off your first box. And Wild Alaskan Company is so confident that their fish is the best, that they offer 100% satisfaction, money back guarantee, so you can try your first box risk free. So go to wildalaskan.com/taylor for $35 off your first order of premium wild caught seafood. And let me tell you that for me, the selling point is wild caught fish is high in omega threes. That's good in low in omega sixes. Farmed fish, where they put it in a pond and feed it soy and pellets, that's high in omega six, bad at low in omega three. So you're getting fish that doesn't have GMO, antibiotics or other additives. You're getting wild caught fish. So go to wildalaskan.com/taylor and get $35 off your first box. Let's take a look here at the statement by Cardinal Pizzaballa. And I'm just going to check in with my moderators. They're saying everything looks great. Stream is good. So happy. Yesterday we had a big problem. Today we're back on track. Here is the statement by Cardinal Pizzaballa to the Israeli government. I'm going to read the whole thing. It's not very long, but I love the wording that Cardinal Pizzaballa, his eminence puts in here. He says, The assembly of Catholic ordinaries of the Holy Land, that's all the bishops of the Holy Land, Catholic bishops, expresses its profound indignation and unreserved condemnation of the desecration of a representation of Jesus Christ by an Israeli soldier in a Lebanese village. Pause. Profound indignation and unreserved condemnation. This is not trying to be diplomatic. This is you guys have crossed the line. Second paragraph. This act constitutes a grave affront to the Christian faith and adds to the other reported incidents of desecration of Christian symbols by IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon. It further reveals a disturbing failure in the moral and human formation. Wherein even the most elementary reverence for the sacred and for the dignity of others has been gravely compromised. Strong. Okay, this is not your ecumenical word salad. This reads like, you know, St. Paul condemnation. You guys are wrong. This isn't an affront. Third paragraph, the assemble calls for the immediate and decisive disciplinary action. A credible process of accountability. And clear assurances that such conduct will neither be tolerated nor repeated. In other words, we're calling you to be accountable. No more. It was an accident. We don't know what happens. This keeps happening as I'm about to show. Next paragraph, yet even in the face of such offense, this is this is theologically beautiful. This is like Saint Paul. Yet even in the face of such offense, the cross remains unassailable in its meaning. As Saint Paul, the apostle declares, far be it from me to glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. For believers, the cross endures as a source of dignity, hope, and redemption, and as a summons to overcome violence through sacrificial love. What I like about this is it's a reminder, y'all attacked a representation of Jesus Christ, a crucifix. For us Christians, we know that Jesus Christ on the cross forgave his enemies, forgave those who were persecuting him. Father, forgive them, they know not what they do. When Jesus was in the agony in the garden, and he was looking at all the mortal and venial sins that were about to be placed upon him, that he would bear in his body, as Saint Paul says, on the cross. It's profound to think about. He saw every single sin, all of your sins, all of my sins, mortal sins, venial sins. He even saw this. He saw this desecration of a crucifix in Lebanon, all of it. And he was willing to die for each and every sin, and each and every sinner, that if they correspond to the grace of Jesus Christ and receive him in faith, hope and charity, to be regenerated, that they will be with him forever. He was willing to do that. And I love that Cardinal Pizzaballa adds that in there, all right? That the crucifix is not just like a symbol, like the star of David or the Muslims have like the moon, you know, and Hindus have that number three looking, you know, every religion kind of has this logo. You know, it's not just a logo. It's the logos. It's Jesus Christ. Him, Jesus Christ on the cross is self-sacrificial love. And Cardinal Pizzaballa inserts that in here. Second, the last paragraph. It is precisely in this light that the church continues to proclaim that true peace cannot be born of violence, but must remain, in the words of Pope Leo XIV, unarmed, a peace that calls to put the sword back in its sheath. For this reason, the assembly renews with urgency its call to bring to an end the war that has tormented this region for far too long, and to embrace a path where peace is witnessed in restraint, dialogue, responsibility, and reverence for the sacred and for every human life. Jerusalem, April 20th, 2026, His Eminence, Pierre Battista Cardinal Pizzaballa. A plus, right? Where's my red pen? I put A plus on here. It's perfect. It's perfect. Now, let me go through a timeline with y'all. And it's quite horrific. It's it's troubling. As I went through it myself, I thought, can this be real? Pulling it up. All right, as you know, 2023 October 7th was when all this stuff got kicked off. On October 10th, three days later, Israeli strikes the damaged compound of Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza. The only Catholic parish, all right, within three days. On October 17th, an Israeli airstrike hit the courtyard of Al-Ali Arab Hospital, affiliated with Christian institutional presence in Gaza, killing hundreds according to local reports. Hmm, why within days, within a week or two of all this starting, are Christian sites being hit? It's accidents, or is it on purpose? October 19th, an Israeli airstrike struck the Church of Saint Porphyrios, which is Greek Orthodox, one of the oldest churches in the area. The church was sheltering about 500 civilians, non-combatants. At least 18 people were killed, many injured. Church officials and the Greek Orthodox patriarch called it a war crime. Israel stated it targeted a Hamas command center nearby. So what they're saying is, oh, there's like a Hamas command, GI. Joe plays, it was near the church, and we're trying to hit that, but we hit the Eastern Orthodox Church with 500 people, and 18 people died, you know, oops, are bad. Sorry about that. Let's keep going. December 16th, this is horrific, folks. December 16th, 2023, Israeli snipers shot and killed a mother and daughter as they left Holy Family Catholic Church. Cardinal Pizzaballa, the patriarch, condemned the incident. Let's just pause here. All right. You're a sniper. You're laid out prone. You have a high powered rifle. You have a strong, powerful scope. You're set up as a sniper. And you see two women leave the Catholic Church, a woman, a mother and her daughter. Now, snipers, if you ever listen to them online, you know, they're not just out there like going Rambo. They're calm. They're breathing. They're studying the target. They squeeze off shots carefully. How does an Israeli sniper look at two women, a mother and a daughter coming out of Holy Family Catholic Church and decide to squeeze the trigger, looking at them through the scope, two times? One shot for the mother, one shot for the daughter. How does that happen? And then how do you come back as Israel and say, well, you know, it was just a mistake. I know we blew up the Eastern Orthodox Church and then, you know, it was a mistake. Somehow the sniper squeezed off two rounds that murdered a mother and her daughter. Coming out of Catholic Church. How do we defend that? We can't. It's wicked. July 17th, 2025, an Israeli tank shell, a mortar round struck the Holy Family Catholic Church directly right in the front. Three people were killed, at least 10 injured, including the pastor, Father Gabriel Rominelli. The church was sheltering hundreds, including children and disabled people. Israel expressed, quote, deep regret calling it an ammunition mistake. Cardinal Pizzaballa expressed that it was purely accidental. So you got to love Cardinal Pizzaballa. He's like, you accidentally had a tank shoot a mortar round into our Catholic Church. That was an accident. Kind of like how you accidentally shot a woman and a child coming out of church. Here is the picture of that. I did a show on it when it happened. That's the Holy Family Catholic Church. All right, again, three people died. Three people didn't go home that night. Three people didn't go to sleep, didn't need dinner. They died. Ten people injured, including the priest who was in the church, presumably with the people. Israel said, we deeply regret that. It was an ammunition mistake that we just shot the front of the church right over the roof, right? Right by the cross, right? Right at the foot of the cross. Let's talk about Lebanon. All right, that's just Gaza. Oh, and let me show you as well, the Eastern Orthodox Church. That's the Catholic Church. Here's the Eastern Orthodox Church. Blown the smithereens. Oh, Israel. Oh, sorry about that. We blew that up. Our bad. We deeply regret that. At what point do we say, hmm, there sure are a lot of accidents happening here. Let's look at Lebanon, which I think people know less about. November, 2023, Israeli artillery struck St. George Church in Yeroon, causing heavy damage. October, December, 2024, airstrikes damaged or destroyed multiple churches, including St. George Melki Catholic Church. Overall, there's damage to seven churches. March 9th, 2026, Israeli tank hits the house of the Christian village of Klaiaa, a Maronite Catholic priest, Father Pierre I. Al Rahi, was killed along with others wounded. Israel attributed some incidents to Hezbollah fire. Local church sources blamed Israeli forces. And then we just saw the statue. And there's been others. There's been desecration of Christian tombs by Israeli soldiers. And then the desecration of the statue. There was one other event, and I don't see it on this list, in which in Lebanon, an apartment building where civilians lived, non-combatants, was hit by Israeli strikes. And they killed an anti-Hezbollah Christian politician. So he's actually against Hezbollah. He's a Christian. And they killed him. So it's like, can we catch a break here? And here's the analogy I want to make. All right, you have, let's say you have a child and they go over to someone's house to play and they come back and they got a black eye. Like what happened? Oh, a baseball hit me in the eye. Okay. You know, they go over again. They've got a bruise on their arm. What happened? Oh, we were playing. I got hurt. You know, they got to get stitches. They got a limp. Their shirt's torn. You go over there to talk to the parent. Like, how come my kid, every time he's over at your house, you know, he's cut, bruised, and the parent says, well, you know, there's just a lot of accidents happening over at our house. Just, you know, we really regret it. There's just accident. You know, he gets cut, he gets bruised, he gets burned, his tail tore. Just a lot of crazy accidents that just happen all the time. What reasonable person make, oh, okay, thanks for explaining that to me. You have a lot of accidents that are just happening over here. At what point would you say there's negligence, there's malice here? It's not just accident after accident after accident. That's the problem. I'm going to go to the live chat. Let me see if I have any more images that I want to share with you guys. Before I do. No, not that one. I think we're good on that. I do want to honor our second sponsor today, and that is Birch Gold. Let me tell you something. Because of these wars, the government is printing more money. That causes inflation, and that means the value of the dollar, it's still a dollar, but the value of the dollar buys less eggs, it buys less groceries, it buys less gasoline. You guys already know this. So, the dollar in 1971, when gold was fixed to $35 an ounce, all right, $1 or $35, one ounce of gold. All right, fast forward to today. The US dollar has lost over 85% of its purchasing power. It's at 15% right now. Gold, on the other hand, has increased in value by over 12,000%. Not 12%, not 120%, 12,000%. And this is why central banks and investors are buying gold in record levels. And that's why you need to be educating yourself. All right, you need to start with education. Don't just go out and buy a bunch of gold right away. Of course, I think Birch Gold is going to be the choice for you. But Birch Gold just announced their Learn and Earn Precious Metal event. All right, I studied gold, silver, precious metals over a decade ago, and we began investing them as a hedge against inflation. And I'm so glad. Look at the chart on the screen. So glad that we did. And I want you also to be educated and to learn about it. So Birch Gold is offering a free online event with rewards, which rewards you for learning the basics of investing in precious metals. Sign up to get free silver on your next purchase and get even larger incentives as you go. The more you learn, the more you earn. But you must act now because the special event only runs through April 30th. All right. So only eight more days. The dollar lost its anchor in 1971. You don't have to lose your anchor. Learn how to preserve what you have with precious metals. So all you have to do is text my name to the number on your screen. That number is 989898. Just get out your phone, dial the number 989898 and just text the word Taylor, my first name, T-A-Y-L-O-R, to join Birch Gold's Learn and Earn Precious Metal event, which ends April 30th. You'll also get the 2026 Info Guide to Investing in Precious Metals. So, to get all that, just text my name, Taylor, to 989898 today. Protect your future with Birch Gold. Text Taylor to 989898. Also, as I mentioned, in case you came in late, St. George's Feast Day is tomorrow. Please get a copy of my book on St. George's Sword and Serpent. It's a best-selling historical fiction novel that is full of action, martyrdom, miracles, by-location. St. Nicholas is his guide. He's sort of a Gandalf figure in the book who can by-locate. Historically, St. Nicholas could by-locate. St. Nicholas is kind of the first Padre Pio. So I take all of these ancient historical Catholic facts that we have and I weave them into a really beautiful and redemptive story about St. George, about the dragon, about the Roman Empire, about martyrdom, and ultimately about the transformation of the Roman Empire into, elevated into the Roman Catholic Church. So if you're looking for a fun action-packed read, page Turner, get a copy of my book, Sword and Serpent. You can get it at my store, taylormarshall.com, or get it over at amazon.com. There's also the Audible, which is excellent. It's so fun. I actually like the Audible almost better than the book. Both are good, though. So get a copy of it, especially if you have young adults. And please enjoy. Also, if you'd like, we are going to start another webinar in May. It's going to be focused on the Blessed Virgin Mary. We just did one in Lent. It was extremely popular. Thousands of people attended. So I will be announcing soon our webinar on the Blessed Virgin Mary, which we'll be doing in May to get everybody excited about Our Lady. And to get pumped up. I'm pivoting over now to your comments, your questions, your super chats. And let's see what y'all have to say. Iron Wharf Striking, I love Sword and Serpent on par with great epic fantasy classics from the 80s and 90s. That is a great compliment. Iron Wharf Striking. Yeah, I wanted to write something that has sort of the the epic fantasy of like Dune, Lord of the Rings, but I wanted it to have a Christian ethos, right? So not magic, you know, not spice, not magical rings, but relics, relic of the True Cross, saints, bilocation, prophecy. So if you're interested, if you like things like Lord of the Rings and Dune, but you'd like to have a Catholic, a really strong Catholic emphasis on that, get a copy of my book Sword and Serpent. I appreciate that. Appreciate the compliment. Wadi says, attacks on Tiba Christian Village in the West Bank and other Christian majority villages like Berset. Now they built a new legal settlement on stolen Christian lands of the Shepherd's Field. Yeah, this goes back to what I said in the opening of the monologue, right? It is the same argument of the Germans in the 1930s and 40s. We have special DNA. We're Aryans. We're important. If you're not an Aryan, you don't belong. You don't get to be inside these borders. We're going to expand our geographic territory to include all the special DNA Aryan people. And we're going to put you out. If you don't fit, we're going to push you in a camp and figure out what to do with you. We're going to relocate people. We're going to start wars. We're going to bring in our allies to fight wars with us. Japanese, Spanish, Italians. Do you see how dangerous this is? The message of Catholicism is that there's a new and everlasting covenant, and Jesus Christ says that there will be people from the East and the West who will sit down and eat with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus Christ loves the Chinese girl. He loves the Peruvian boy. He loves the old lady in Norway. He loves the dad in Nigeria. He loves everyone. Jesus Christ, the eternal logos, the son of God. He's consubstantial with the father, as we say in the Nicene Creed. But he's also consubstantial with the Blessed Virgin Mary. He's a human. That means Jesus is consubstantial with all of us. He has a true, full human nature, body, blood, soul, divinity. He has a full divine nature, a full human nature. They're united in the hypostatic union. That's Catholicism. He is united to every human that has descended from Adam and Eve. Right, that includes people in Indonesia, includes people in Patagonia, includes people in Sudan, Korea, North Korea, everybody. All these people descend from Adam and Eve, and Jesus Christ is the new Adam. Our Lady is the new Eve. They want all people to be saved. This pharisaical belief that God doesn't really care about Samaritans and Syrian women and Egyptians and Ethiopians. He really just cares about his special DNA people, Israelites. Jesus fought against that, his entire ministry. It's one of the reasons why they wanted to get rid of them. Like, what do you mean we don't take the lion's share? We're not the ones who get everything. The kingdom of God is for us, and Christ says the kingdom of God is for everyone. It begins here. Ground zero is here in Jerusalem and Galilee, and then it expands and echoes and reverberates throughout the whole world so that it becomes in the Greek universal or Catholicos, Catholic, according to the whole of mankind. This is the new and everlasting covenant. And Protestants, because they don't have a universal, united, visible church, we call it the Catholic Church. Protestants don't have that. So they read the Bible and they look around and they say, where is the kingdom of God? Where is this manifestation that's visible and strong and powerful? And they're like, well, we don't see it because it's not the Missouri Synod Lutheran denomination, it's not the Anglican Communion, you know, it's not the Southern Presbyterians. Oh, it's this country called Israel that has Jerusalem, led by Netanyahu. It's a really dumb conclusion, but they're looking for that visible manifestation. Right? The kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven, and they wrongly associate it with Israel. When in reality, we Catholics say, no, no, no, the kingdom of heaven, it's among us. To wherever the king is, where is the king? The king is on the altar. The king is in the tabernacle. The kingdom is the Catholic Church. That's the manifestation of the kingdom of God. That's why we pray at every Mass, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Holy, holy, holy Lord God of hosts, heaven and earth, heaven and earth, earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Remember Jesus said to them, you will not see me again until you say, Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. He's there in the Mass. He's there in the Eucharist. You know, the beautiful passage in Luke, where the two disciples are walking to Emmaus, and they're joined by Jesus Christ. They don't know it's Jesus Christ, and he's explaining Moses and the prophets. When they get to their destination, and the stranger who's Jesus, takes and blesses bread and breaks it, and immediately they recognize that it's Jesus, and then Christ disappears. He doesn't leave, he's present in the Eucharist. But it's the Eucharist, it's the blessing and the breaking of the bread by Christ that manifests Jesus Christ in his kingdom, in his power, in his presence. That is why I'm a Roman Catholic, and that's why you're a Roman Catholic. And that's why we're able to see through the Zionist lie. Well, we had Martin Luther show up today. Reverend Martin Luther says, sure we do, it's united under the Creed. Okay, you can't be united simply by the Creed. You have to be united in governance. And here's why, I assume you're a Lutheran. A person is a Lutheran, and they get kicked out of the Missouri Senate Lutheran Church. They go to the Wisconsin Senate, they go to ELCA, they go to any other Lutheran groups. There's no governance. There's no consistency. There's nothing universal about it. Lutheranism only really thrives when it was a state church in Germany. Outside of that, it just becomes a denomination. And you can't say we're all united in the creed because at the end of the day, we are united in our governance, but more importantly, we're united in the Eucharist. And the Lutherans deny that the Mass is a sacrifice, a Eucharistic sacrifice, and they deny transubstantiation. So we're actually not united with you in the creed because we're not united at the altar. And so that's broken. And that's why we can't be Lutherans. If you are enjoying today's show, like the show, share this show using the share button on X and on Facebook. And if you haven't subscribed to the Dr. Taylor Marshall Podcast, join over a million people who watch this podcast. I have the best audience, high IQ, high information. 49er Joe says, those IDF soldiers are probably getting an award and extra money for life. The place is evil. If you want to be spit on, go there and be a public Christian. You know, I'll tell a story. Cardinal Burke, his eminence Cardinal Burke, he was in Jerusalem once. Priest told me this story. I hope Cardinal Burke doesn't mind me sharing it. And a group of them were going to go to the Western Wall. And I don't know if you've ever been to the Western Wall, but they kind of have a barricade and you have to go through. There might be metal detectors now. Anyway, Cardinal Burke is kind of strolling in there and they stop him. And they say, you can't come in this area with that cross. So Cardinal Burke is a bishop. He's a Cardinal, so he wears a pectoral cross. And so the Israelis tell Cardinal Burke, you can't come in this area, this Jewish area with that cross. You have to tuck the cross in your pocket or take it off if you want to come in here. You know, Cardinal Burke said, he said, I'm not ashamed of the cross. If I have to hide the cross, I won't go in here. I'm not going to hide the cross like I can have access to this area. And I admire that. And every single Christian needs to follow that example. We don't hide the cross. We don't take off the cross in order to get access to a Jewish jurisdiction or area. We never take off the cross. We never hide the cross. Do you agree with me? Write Amen in the live chat or in the comments. Write Amen right now. Pseudonymous Brit says, Americans need to learn more history that predates their country, instead learn about the church from its inception to now. It would help with all your Protestant and Zionist misunderstandings. I agree with that. That's a big problem in America, and it's because we are a Protestant, rebellious nation in our origin. And that's a problem. So we do need to learn our history. But I see you're a Brit. I also think the British also have blinders because they've been soaking in, whether they're Catholic or Anglican or whatever, they have been soaking in the Church of England as part of the culture where the king or queen is the governor or head of the Church of England and the civil magistrate of the land. There's a lot of problems there. Honestly, this is why I wrote the book Christian Patriot. Do I have an image of it? Thought I did, but I don't. This is why I wrote the book Christian Patriot. It's not just for Americans. A lot of people think, oh, this is a book to help Americans. Yes, it's going to help Americans, but it's going to help all people on earth because honestly, there aren't really any Catholic Christian societies right now. There are remnants, there are echoes, there are aspirations, but there's nothing like there used to be. And we need to discover that that is our goal. Our goal is to create, and a lot of people think, oh, you just want to make Catholic laws and persecute people. In Christian Patriot, I show, ultimately, the grassroots work is, no, we must convert the populace to love Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. That's where it begins. And from that is a Catholic culture, and from a Catholic culture comes Catholic politics. All right, so I'm very clear in the book, first, personal conversion and conversion of families and the conversion of the culture, then politics comes from that. But I agree with you, synonymous Brit, we Americans have a lot of work to do. Got a super chat that came in from GB. Ramos. Have you heard of Father James Maudsley, one of the best communicators of Catholic faith? But I'd love to get your perspective on him if you know him. Yes, I have met him. Joe and I had dinner with him once when we were in Europe, ran into him and I've watched some of his content. Yes, obviously, controversial on YouTube. Spain is a Catholic Monarchy. Hmm, kind of, right? Kind of, like, does he really have royal powers? Is he truly a Catholic King? These are the questions. Cloistered Soul says, The land, however, was discovered by a Catholic, Christopher Columbus. Yes, it was. Good observation. Witch Hazel says, Never deny the cross. Look what he has done for us. Amen. We can never deny the cross. We can never mock the cross. We can never desecrate the cross. We can never step on the cross. We can never smash the cross. We can never hide the cross in our pocket. I don't, I don't, by the way, when did this start? Maybe I misunderstood, but I see a lot of American Catholic bishops, they wear black business suits, which I don't like. Okay. I don't like the fact that you're wearing a black business suit with a collar. You're not a businessman. Now, I know in England and in America, there were penal laws against Catholic clergy dressing in cassocks. I get that. They had to make compromises. But it's 2026. No one's going to write you a ticket or send you to jail for wearing a cassock. There are similar penal laws in Mexico after the Revolution there. clergy couldn't wear cassocks in public. Might still be on the books or up until recently. But I don't like wearing the business suits. But then not only are they wearing the business suits. Let's see. Do I have something I can... What they do here... Okay, I'll just use my scapular as an example. Okay, so they have a pectoral cross. I'll move this off. And what I see them do, and someone helped me understand it, is they take the cross and they put it in the pocket. This isn't long enough. In their suit coat. So when they're like walking around the airport or wherever, they have the cross kind of in the pocket. Why? What's going on with that? Why are we hiding the cross? Bishops, excellencies, eminences? I will say one thing that I love about Cardinal Burke. I've had dinner with him. I've been around him. I've been to his masses. I don't think I've ever seen him do that. He's always got his pectoral cross out. He often wears a cassock too. But also I'll say this about Bishop Strickland. I've never seen him tuck in his pectoral cross. He always has the pectoral cross out even if he's wearing a suit. I just like that. I don't know. There might be some reason. I don't want to be judgy, but I don't understand all that. Chat coming in from Cynthia. Whoa, big one, Cynthia. Good one. I love St. George and the Dragon, the evil one being English, Irish origin. Love slaying of dragon stories, good versus evil for my days of youth and reading to kids. My beloved brother-in-law, Geneal, now passed and was a commercial illustrator with Thermos boxes in the American section of Smithsonian. My husband and I have an original illustration of the slaying of the dragon in our living room wall. Amen. In my house, if you go into the library, I don't have a man cave because that's lame. I have a house, a mortgage that I pay at my house. I have a library and in the library, I have a beautiful, huge painting of St. George fighting the dragon. It is the icon. It is the symbol of my life, hopefully, to fight evil. And if you read Sword and Serpent, my book, I think you're going to be very well pleased on how I depict the dragon, what the dragon is and how the dragon is conquered. Get a copy Sword and Serpent. Is Isahel Hernandez, Bishop Barron said it is because it gets annoying moving around while he's walking. Well, shucks. Well, shucks. It gets annoying while you're walking, you having a cross. You know, bishops have been wearing pectoral crosses for centuries without sports coats like this, and they seem to be OK with it. But shucks. Oh, drats. Bishop Barron said they tuck away the cross because it gets annoying moving around while he's walking. No comment on that. Sean Gardner, what do you think about the investigation into the validity of the resignation of B-16? I've done so many shows on this topic, and I've researched it, I've read the Latin text of the Declaratio of Benedict XVI. I don't think it's a good argument. I don't subscribe to it. I talk about it in my book, Infiltration. I think it's certainly interesting. Of course, I could be persuaded. But when I look at the Declaratio of any says it's going to his intention is that this declaration of him resigning the papacy is going to result in a set of a content, an empty sea. It's very clear that the text and the intention is that he is to resign. I think the argument that he says ministerium and not moon is etc. is a bit stretched. So there it is clearly the intention. Clearly the results are in his declaration and clearly what he actually did in history is also manifest. And then also he accepts he accepted Bergoglio as his successor. He said so. And there it is. So not only do you have to say he used the wrong word in the Declaratio, you have to say that he himself was deceived the entire time. So that's why I don't accept it. John Paul says, at my local Fraternity of St. Peter, they will not bless a cross, but they will bless the crucifix. It has to have a corpus. I don't think that's right. I think you can bless a cross. There are so many crosses that don't have corpuses on them. That seems odd to me. You know, you can't have a cross as a sacramental that doesn't have Christ on it. In fact, having Christ on the cross, the corpus on the cross, really doesn't become mainstream and universal till what, 1200s, 1300s? Catherine Hunter, they wear black business suits that aren't even matching black. So, shame on them for turning away and hiding the cross. I don't know if they're not matching blacks. I mean, that's a serious accusation right there, to say that their blacks aren't matching. When I was an Episcopalian clergyman, an Anglican priest, I wore a black suit with a black, we called it a rabat. It's like a front with a collar on it. But we were told, as Anglicans, by our bishop, anytime you're in the church or in the sanctuary or going in there, you have to put the cassock on. So even if you're going to go into the church to get a book or to put something in the church, you put your cassock on. Or if you're going to go in there and do morning prayer or evening prayer or anything, you put your cassock on when you're in the sacred space and then you take it back out. Even if it's just a little thing you're going to do. I think that's good, right? Our Anglican Bishop, who was Jack Iker, he was saying, you are men of the cloth, you wear your cassock when you're in a church, period. But no excuses. So I did that. And then also whenever we were asked to do anything, you know, that Catholics would call sacramental or blessings or prayers or to open something with a prayer, whatever it was, we also always wore our cassocks. And I would sometimes wear the cassock on the street. But that was our custom. And we always had to wear black shiny shoes. That was also required. But that was back when I wasn't Catholic. This says here, Hey Buddy says, The IDF did arrest the two soldiers to 30 days in military prison and replaced the crucifix. Okay, so I saw this. I don't think they're going to prison. I saw 30 days of discipline, and then I saw the replacement, and it's clearly a Photoshop. They took a wall crucifix from online, and they Photoshopped it onto the same location. And when I said it, I posted this on X, am I crazy or does this look like a Photoshopped wall crucifix that's been blown up and placed on the same spot in an image? And a professional photographer came on and said, I analyzed it, this is definitely Photoshopped, this is not a real image. So whatever they posted of, oh, we put in a new crucifix, my eyes says it looks fake, and a professional photographer who investigated the image says it's fake. So I don't know what's going on with that. And I don't think they were put in prison. I think they got 30 days of discipline. Who knows what that even means? Here's a different perspective. Anna says, Pizzaballa is a hate mongering, anti-Semitic jihadist who lies promote the globalist agenda. I'm going to strongly disagree with you. Pizzaballa actually offered himself in exchange for hostages. So. Trust codes are good, I agree. UWTN News and Other Report, IDF Apology for Moral Failure, 30-Day Sentence in Military Prison and Show New Crucifix in Place in Lebanon. Yeah, I'm telling you, I don't think that that picture of that New Crucifix is real. And again, I saw 30 days of discipline, not 30 days in prison. Just saying. Maybe I'm wrong. Maria Fernanda says, What should we do with a broken Catholic image or small statue that have been damaged? Is there a way to dispose of it safely? So it needs to be buried. And if it can't be buried, it has to be reverently burned, is my understanding of how to take care of. So, and this is a problem for our house. You know, you get gifted rosaries and then the rosary breaks. You can't throw the broken rosary. If it's can't fix it, you can't throw it in the trash can, it's sacramental. So you have to bury it. You know, it's just like the same dignity to an American flag. You can't throw a torn American flag in the trash. The proper thing to do is to reverently burn the flag, to change its substance, right? It's no longer a flag, it's ashes. So I think the most common way is to bury them. If you have a broken image, reverently collect it together and bury it in the garden. If something is large, burning it is the proper way to dispose of it. And if I'm missing on that, everyone, please correct me, but that's what I've been taught. Did you ever meet Pizzaballa? I've never met Pizzaballa and I wish that I hope that I can. Your Eminence, I would love to meet you. Shake your hand, kiss your hand, kiss your ring, and greet you, because I'm a big time fan of Cardinal Pizzaballa. What are your thoughts on Divine Mercy Sunday? You know, that's developed over time. When I first came into the Catholic Church, I was taught, you know, Divine Mercy is so awesome, and that Divine Mercy Sunday is actually just as good as a baptism. It works ex operat operato, and that it's more than an indulgence because an indulgence requires you to have perfect detachment of sin, but Divine Mercy Sunday doesn't. And so, that's what I believed, and that's actually what I said to people. But as time has gone on, and I've studied the issue, I'm not against it. I believe it's real. But I don't see, you know, in 1959, the diary of or the teachings of St. Faustina were, I don't know if they were put on the index, but they were under discipline. And the idea was the problem that Rome had with the diary of St. Faustina and the Divine Mercy Promises. If meeting the conditions for Divine Mercy Sunday work ex operat operato and remove all temporal punishment and by extension, all eternal guilt, just as a baptism would, that technically ranks it as a sacrament. You're giving it ex operat operato status, whereas all indulgences and all sacramentals are not ex operat operato. So it's a very bold claim. And as I've looked at it theologically and reflected on it, I think that it's not on that level of ex operat operato. Is it a real promise? Yes. St. John Paul II attached a plenary indulgence to it. And so that's caused confusion. People are like, well, is it the plenary indulgence or is it the extra Divine Mercy promise? Right. And as I've studied it and thought about it, as I've gotten more gray hair, I think it's an indulgence. I think it's a plenary indulgence. It's not something more than a plenary indulgence. I might be wrong on that, by the way. I've changed my mind once. I might. You all might change my mind again. But that is my my take on that. And while the Divine Mercy chaplet is not part of my own personal life, I have prayed it. I do pray it, in particular when someone is dying. And people say, let's pray the Divine Mercy chaplet. I pray the Divine Mercy chaplet. I've even initiated the Divine Mercy chaplet recently when a family member was dying. So I have nothing against it. Iron says, my wife and I are researching Divine Mercy Sunday, and the best we could find is that it's just a plenary indulgence and requires the usual conditions. That's my position now in 2026. In 2012, that I would have been a Divine Mercy maximalist, and I no longer am. So I agree with you, Iron. That's my take on it. Cloistered Souls, Sister Faustina was very prideful in her writing, stating that she was more loved and holy than her blessed lady. Yeah, I mean, I think you need... I think this is judgmental, I think you should take a pause here. If you read devotional literature, this is pretty common. As a matter of fact, when you read John's Gospel, he never says John in the Gospel, he always says the disciple whom Jesus loved as a stand-in for John. You could read that as prideful. Technically, we know Jesus loved all the apostles, right? John places it there to designate his special love for Jesus and Jesus' special love for him, right? So I don't think you could read John's Gospel and say, John is so prideful, he calls himself not John, he calls himself the disciple whom Jesus loved as if Jesus doesn't love others. I think you need to be careful. Also, if you read mystics, St. Catherine of Siena, Maria Agreda and Catherine Emmerich, there are especially Catherine of Siena, you know, there are heightened nuptial mystical encounters. That are also, I think, in this in this lew, like in this in this mid lew, sorry. So I don't think necessarily that you can accuse her of being prideful. Bishop Baron should be told to offer it up. We should all be told that, by the way. And I'll do one more. We just hit our our time limit. I'm sorry, but the name just has me wondering if Cardinal Pizzaballa makes good pizza. Who knows, right? I will say the oldest reference to pizza, a flatbread with items on top of it, the oldest reference that we have in human experience refers to, I think it's from the 10 hundreds, 11 hundreds, 12 hundreds. It's really old and it refers to a bishop ordering pizza. I'm not messing with you right now. I'm telling you the straight truth. The oldest historical reference to pizza is a Catholic bishop ordering a pizza. I'm straight up telling you. I think it's actually the anecdote is preserved in the Latin text. And by the way, the word pizza in Italian and English P-I-Z-Z-A is related to the Greek word pita, P-I, is it T-A or T-T-A? The Greek word, you know, like pita bread. So the Greek word pita bread is a flat bread, right? That word pita comes into Italian, not with a T but with a Z, pizza. It's a flat bread and they're like, you know what? Let's throw some tomato sauce on there. Let's throw some cheese. Let's throw some pepperoni. Let's throw some sausage. Let's throw some anchovies, right? So this is something you can share now at a cocktail party. You can say, do you know the word, the Italian word pizza has an etymological connection to the Greek word pita as in pita bread? And they'll be like, wow, I didn't know that. Furthermore, did you know that the most ancient reference to pizza is actually a Catholic bishop ordering a pizza from the medieval era in the way? I did not know that either. You are a very interesting person. I want to be your friend. And then you'll have a bunch of new friends just by telling us to people. All right. Pray your rosary every day. You're not on the team. Find a traditional Latin Mass, attend it four times and go to confession every two to four weeks, maybe every two to three weeks. Maybe we should start bumping that up and love your family, love your spouse, love your children, catechize your family. If you're a father, you need to be the spiritual leader of your home. No more excuses. Step up, right? We got to transform families, transform culture. That that starts with dad. All right. Husbands and dads, you got to you got to triple. You got to triple. You got to three X what you're doing this week. You got to lead your family to Jesus. Check out the book Sword and Serpent in honor of St. George Day. Visit our sponsors, Wild Alaskan, Birch Gold.
