[01:16] Welcome to The Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore and Mike Wright.
Speaker 4:
[01:33] Hello, welcome in.
Speaker 5:
[01:38] Let's go, let's go.
Speaker 6:
[01:43] I was going to say it's Draft Day, but this might be out early.
Speaker 5:
[01:46] See, you didn't want to betray the...
Speaker 6:
[01:47] Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[01:49] What do you got, standards for your...
Speaker 6:
[01:52] Oh, well, I mean, I wasn't going over the original lyrics of it's football time.
Speaker 5:
[01:59] I think we all expected it to be it's Draft Day time. Did you do that before?
Speaker 6:
[02:03] I'm sure we've done plenty.
Speaker 5:
[02:04] There's not a good syllable situation.
Speaker 6:
[02:07] Yeah, we've done many things.
Speaker 5:
[02:08] The Fantasy Footballers Podcast, Jason Moore, Mike Wright, Andy Holloway, welcome in one and all. We are, well, we're going to release this show a little bit early. We've got our Draft Day Predictions, episode on the show today. I haven't looked to see who won last year. I assume it was me.
Speaker 6:
[02:24] It was me. Pretty sure it was Jason. Was it Jason?
Speaker 1:
[02:26] It was me last year, but the year before it was me, and then the year prior to that, I also won. One of those years we did Ty, Mike.
Speaker 6:
[02:36] Okay.
Speaker 1:
[02:37] I did check that.
Speaker 6:
[02:37] I'll take the time.
Speaker 3:
[02:38] You know what?
Speaker 6:
[02:40] You had Dart to the Giants.
Speaker 1:
[02:42] I did.
Speaker 6:
[02:42] Did you have Cam there too?
Speaker 3:
[02:44] I did.
Speaker 1:
[02:45] I believe I did. I think I got both of those guys, but I need to take a break. I need to take a moment. You don't need to do this. I do need to do this.
Speaker 6:
[02:53] I do need to do this. I have no idea what's happening.
Speaker 1:
[02:55] So, look, this is show 1909. Yeah. We've done this for over a decade. And when you do something for a decade in life, things happen outside of the show that, you know, we don't bring to the show. We don't bring it to the show.
Speaker 6:
[03:11] What is happening?
Speaker 1:
[03:11] I don't know what's happening. Oh, I know what's happening over there.
Speaker 6:
[03:13] What is happening?
Speaker 1:
[03:16] Things happen outside of here that we put on a happy face. We come back to work and we just, everything's good in life. Today is one of those days. Today is one of those days where...
Speaker 6:
[03:32] Is this the remains of your putter?
Speaker 5:
[03:34] I was not gonna bring this up.
Speaker 1:
[03:35] Holy crap, guys.
Speaker 5:
[03:36] I was gonna give you a chance to not talk about golf today.
Speaker 6:
[03:40] I'm not a golf guy.
Speaker 5:
[03:41] Ask Jeremy.
Speaker 6:
[03:41] I'm not a golf guy. But usually a putter is longer than this. Is this a putter for ants?
Speaker 5:
[03:49] This putter is...
Speaker 6:
[03:51] It's missing a lot...
Speaker 5:
[03:51] .for those listening to the podcast. What have we got? About three inches worth of the shaft?
Speaker 1:
[03:58] That deserves that.
Speaker 6:
[03:59] That remaining of the putter.
Speaker 1:
[04:00] Tech Club deserved that. And honestly, the rest should go in ashes. I did lose to Jeremy today, but I also lost to life.
Speaker 6:
[04:10] Oh, no!
Speaker 1:
[04:12] I have spent this whole show, for the most part...
Speaker 5:
[04:15] In silence.
Speaker 1:
[04:15] Squeezing this table. Just my hands right now are ready to lift it up. The anger that is coursing through my body right now.
Speaker 5:
[04:24] I can't believe you wanted to talk about it. Is this cathartic?
Speaker 1:
[04:27] It is, but it's like...
Speaker 5:
[04:29] Did you ever have to use that little golf marker you have on your hat?
Speaker 1:
[04:32] I pulled it off once. I'm so angry, I could...
Speaker 5:
[04:36] Jason didn't play well.
Speaker 1:
[04:37] I could eat this helmet. I could eat the helmet right now, and I would feel nothing. Oh, we got something else to get eat. I'll shove this in my heart.
Speaker 7:
[04:45] I hate golf so much!
Speaker 2:
[04:47] It's the worst thing in the...
Speaker 6:
[04:50] God! Don't know, not Michael Keaton.
Speaker 2:
[04:53] Okay, someone's going to get hurt.
Speaker 6:
[04:53] Oh, man.
Speaker 5:
[04:54] This is about draft day, Jason.
Speaker 1:
[04:56] It's one of my favorite shows. This show, this specific episode is like one of my favorites.
Speaker 5:
[05:01] I haven't heard Jason say anything since we got into the studio. He got here way earlier.
Speaker 6:
[05:05] I was not... I didn't do the golf, so I'm in here.
Speaker 5:
[05:09] You still shot better.
Speaker 1:
[05:12] Yes, you did, Mike. Yes, you did.
Speaker 6:
[05:15] You know that the...
Speaker 1:
[05:16] I hate golf so much.
Speaker 6:
[05:17] The phrase, you miss every shot you don't take.
Speaker 5:
[05:21] 100% of the shots you don't take?
Speaker 6:
[05:22] Yeah, yeah. Not in golf.
Speaker 5:
[05:24] No. No.
Speaker 1:
[05:25] You don't screw up 100% of the shots that you don't take.
Speaker 6:
[05:29] Yes.
Speaker 5:
[05:29] Well, I guess it came up, Al.
Speaker 6:
[05:31] Oh, man. I say, I didn't do the golf. I was in, I'm getting ready for this show, and I heard Jason walk in.
Speaker 5:
[05:39] Way before everybody else.
Speaker 6:
[05:41] Way, way before everybody else.
Speaker 1:
[05:42] I drove a little fast. I was very-
Speaker 6:
[05:44] The gait of the feet was faster than normal, and you fully bypassed the office.
Speaker 1:
[05:51] I was not ready to talk to people.
Speaker 6:
[05:53] See, I was like, oh, that's tumtum.
Speaker 5:
[05:57] He thought you had to poop. He thought you had to poop. He had already pooped on the course.
Speaker 3:
[06:01] I wish that was a Chipotle run.
Speaker 1:
[06:03] No, that was pure, unadulterated anger.
Speaker 5:
[06:07] I will tell you, I was playing in the three pack behind Jason's three pack. When they finished and we were waiting to hit on the final hole, and Jason went from the green to the truck in under, I mean faster than most of the 40 times that we're talking about on today's show. He exited, he noped out of that course.
Speaker 1:
[06:27] I don't know if I'll ever be back. And for my health, I think I shouldn't.
Speaker 5:
[06:33] So you've got to learn to have fun.
Speaker 7:
[06:36] So originally we had a $100 bet on this game, right?
Speaker 6:
[06:39] Oh no.
Speaker 5:
[06:39] Oh no.
Speaker 6:
[06:40] How did it get?
Speaker 7:
[06:41] Well last night, last night we were talking, and I had taken a lesson with a guy that I really liked, and we were talking, Jason said, does he do group lessons? And I said, he does do like two adults at a time if needed. And so we decided to change the bet to, it's $175 for a two-person lesson. We change the bet to whoever loses pays for the lesson, and we go do a group lesson together.
Speaker 1:
[07:06] So it's actually cheaper. It's like $87.50 for instead of $100 bet, because you'd be basically buying the other person's hat.
Speaker 6:
[07:13] Yeah, I got it.
Speaker 1:
[07:14] I sent Jeremy $100 today.
Speaker 5:
[07:16] And said, you're out?
Speaker 6:
[07:17] Oh, you're out?
Speaker 7:
[07:18] He sent me the $100 bucks and said, forget the lesson, I'm out.
Speaker 6:
[07:22] Okay, so we will get to the draft, but I've not heard anything.
Speaker 5:
[07:26] Let's just have some fun.
Speaker 6:
[07:27] So Jason, the picking up of golf or re-picking up of golf is not happening. But I'm saying, in the course we were currently on, this was very recent. Yeah, the course has been behind you the whole time. You just, this was like two weeks ago, you showed up, hey, I'm doing this charity golf event, and it went from there. Previous to that, when, how long was the gap between real golfing? Not top shot, 15 years.
Speaker 5:
[07:57] He had not golfed since before we started this podcast. Okay, correct.
Speaker 6:
[08:01] And you are aware that golf is like really difficult. It's a hard game.
Speaker 3:
[08:06] I am very aware.
Speaker 6:
[08:07] Okay.
Speaker 4:
[08:09] Morbidly aware.
Speaker 6:
[08:10] What were you expecting from yourself?
Speaker 1:
[08:13] I don't need to be great at golf. What I need to do is have it make sense and have my body do what I tell my body to do.
Speaker 6:
[08:20] But that's not what happened in this group of golfers.
Speaker 1:
[08:23] We could talk for hours.
Speaker 6:
[08:23] You're like brand new to the sport. You've been playing 15 years?
Speaker 1:
[08:26] No, it's not okay. Jeremy's terrible. And Jeremy beat me because like I would have a much better shot off the tee. Jeremy would shank it, do something crappy. And we'd tie every time. We were like seven holes, six holes in. And it's just like, he's playing like crap. I'm playing not good, but better. But we're tied. Everything. It just doesn't matter.
Speaker 6:
[08:48] It was a colossal meltdown.
Speaker 3:
[08:49] Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 7:
[08:53] I think going into hole seven and we played nine, I think going into seven, I was up one stroke.
Speaker 1:
[08:57] And it was just the putting game. The putting game was...
Speaker 6:
[09:00] Well, I got news for you about it.
Speaker 5:
[09:02] I figured out your putting game. You're too short on the old...
Speaker 6:
[09:05] You need a handle.
Speaker 5:
[09:06] This was brand new, wasn't it?
Speaker 1:
[09:07] That is a brand new putter. Very nice putter that I was so thrilled to break.
Speaker 5:
[09:12] You should sign this and give it to somebody.
Speaker 1:
[09:13] I would. I will. I'll sign it. Anyone can have it.
Speaker 5:
[09:18] That's my trophy.
Speaker 6:
[09:19] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[09:20] I mean, I'll sign it for you, Derek.
Speaker 5:
[09:21] Well, anyways, I didn't think we were discussing this.
Speaker 6:
[09:23] That was not the intro I was expecting.
Speaker 5:
[09:25] But I did tell Al before and I go, if Jason... I'm not bringing it up. But if Jason brings it up, you give me that putter.
Speaker 1:
[09:32] I can't believe that that's the only club that got destroyed. I can't believe it. I'm surprised I didn't go to the parking lot and individually break every single club.
Speaker 5:
[09:41] So he's mad. How about we transition to the draft? Now, can you move on?
Speaker 7:
[09:46] Yeah.
Speaker 6:
[09:47] Let's do golf lessons. Let's also do some anger management lessons.
Speaker 1:
[09:51] I'm going to be talking to the therapist about this one.
Speaker 5:
[09:54] Oh, man.
Speaker 7:
[09:55] Halfway through, he goes, my therapist told me this was going to be good for me.
Speaker 1:
[09:59] Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[10:01] Oh, no. What an idiot. This is unbelievable. The meltdown has gone. I want to be clear on something as well. The meltdown began on the driving range before the round.
Speaker 1:
[10:13] How did I do out there, Andy?
Speaker 5:
[10:14] I've never seen 20 consecutive shots go worst for him. I just kept saying, I tried to be the good friend. I was just like, just breathe, man. Next shot, next shot. They got worse and worse.
Speaker 1:
[10:26] When you shoot 20 times and one of them is bad, but I can't even say good. Anyways, all right, football time.
Speaker 5:
[10:35] We're back in. We are releasing this show a day early because we wanted to get our predictions out there in the world, which we were in the middle of saying, Jason's the champ of the predictions. Yeah. Four of the picks right last year. I was at three, Mike at two.
Speaker 1:
[10:46] When people say stick to football?
Speaker 6:
[10:48] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[10:49] That's what they mean.
Speaker 5:
[10:50] Yeah, they do. Headline here before we get the end of the news and the draft predictions, we're going to go through the big names that all of the fantasy relevant positions on today's episode and see what we think is going to happen. Every beat reporter has been changing their minds seven ways to Sunday, because they don't really know what's going on because teams don't really want to tell you what they're thinking about doing and sometimes they'll be right about some things and sometimes they'll be wrong but they're all positioning for trades and different transactions.
Speaker 6:
[11:23] Did you see, I think it was Schrager, Kyle, you can correct me if I was wrong, but essentially him talking about the number two pick where it's the Jets and he's like, this is going to surprise everyone. We don't know because the Jets are not telling us what they're going to do, as in like the Jets always tell us what they're going to do. Yeah, okay, that was Schrager talking about it. It was so funny of the pleasant surprise of, hey, they're actually not telling us.
Speaker 5:
[11:52] Doing something they should be doing which is not communicating their intent.
Speaker 6:
[11:56] Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[11:57] It is Ultimate Draft Week, guys. This is the biggest headline of the day. You can win a Listener League spot to come play with us in the Fantasy Footballers Listener League. Speaker 1:
[12:48] Yeah, if you've got the plus, or if you're an Ultimate Football Clan member, there will be a brand new thing coming out next week that I have been working on for months and months and months. I am so doggone excited about it, and I was so scared it wasn't going to be ready, it's ready.
Speaker 6:
[13:04] It's ready.
Speaker 1:
[13:05] I'm stoked.
Speaker 6:
[13:05] You're ready like your golf game or?
Speaker 5:
[13:07] No, way more ready.
Speaker 1:
[13:08] No, I'm sticking to football. I'm sticking to football. I got this. Golf is, golf's for losers, man.
Speaker 5:
[13:14] He said he's been working on this for months. He's only been working on golf like three times in 20 years, and thought he'd feel good about it.
Speaker 1:
[13:22] I hate being bad at things. I can't handle it. That's why I quit 15 years ago. I was like, hey, I can't golf.
Speaker 5:
[13:29] This is why Mike and I told you verbatim, you might not want to buy new clubs the first time you play. Mike's like, you can borrow my clubs, and you're like, two minutes later, you got a cart, you got clubs, you got clothes.
Speaker 7:
[13:43] I can't wait to buy them for $0.20 on the dollar.
Speaker 5:
[13:45] Oh yeah, I want your cart. Dude, dibs on the cart. All right, moving on.
Speaker 3:
[13:52] News and notes from around the league.
Speaker 5:
[13:56] ESPN's Adam Schefter said he would watch and see the Falcons could be looking for a trade partner for Kyle Pitts, who they're open to dealing.
Speaker 6:
[14:04] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[14:06] That would put them, I think if Kyle Pitts gets traded, they're going to take one of those big-time wide receivers at some point. So that would be interesting. Franchise tag on Kyle Pitts. He signed it though, right? Yeah.
Speaker 6:
[14:19] I believe he's the only one who was just like, okay, money please.
Speaker 5:
[14:24] Yeah. We have a report. I saw this yesterday. Tetaro McMillan said he dropped about 10 to 15 pounds during his rookie season and got down to 205. He spent the offseason working on power and weight and muscle gain.
Speaker 1:
[14:39] This was really good news once I understood it.
Speaker 6:
[14:41] Yes. It was reported very confusing.
Speaker 1:
[14:43] Yeah. This morning when I first saw it was that basically Tet was down 10 to 15 pounds. I was like, that's not good. No, no, no, no. I don't want that. Then it was like, no, no, no. Last year going into his rookie season, he was focused on speed, probably just training for the combine in the 40 time or whatever. Then now he's focused on getting into that man body. That's what you want. We talk about it a lot. We want wide receivers to put on weight early in their career. That's usually better than losing weight, the opposite for runbacks.
Speaker 6:
[15:13] Yeah. We want wide receivers to bulk. We want running backs to cut.
Speaker 1:
[15:16] Yep.
Speaker 5:
[15:18] Bucket ears. Sean Tucker, one year for $3.52 million contract. He will be part of the running back room.
Speaker 6:
[15:25] All right.
Speaker 5:
[15:25] Jason and I were talking briefly yesterday. The Tampa Bay situation, we'll talk about it on today's show. Let's put it that way in terms of our running back draft predictions because that draft room, they lost Rashad White, who's now a member of the Washington Commanders. If Bucky Irving, it's just what is the-
Speaker 6:
[15:43] They picked up Kenneth Gainwell.
Speaker 5:
[15:44] Yeah. What is the confidence level for Bucky long-term may determine what you see in the draft?
Speaker 1:
[15:49] Yeah. Bucky going into last year looked like, hey, this is a piece of our franchise. Bucky going into this year is like, it doesn't seem like they are as confident. Obviously, you had the reports, the rumors of the mental issues, the injuries as an undersized fourth-round back. So it doesn't feel like they have a completely rock-solid group.
Speaker 5:
[16:13] Speaking of not quite rock-solid, the Steelers quarterback room, Mike McCarthy said, Will Howard and Mason Rudolph are splitting reps in the off-season program. He said, quote, and this is a heck of a quote, I have confidence in where Aaron Rodgers would be the day he would arrive. If that's his decision, I think Aaron is probably more in tune than we would realize. The endless rope you get. They have to know. You think they know? And they're just saying, hey, skip it?
Speaker 6:
[16:42] No, here's the thing. I'm just going to say two different things. I think they don't know. But I believe that they should know. How are you? You can't allow this to happen. Aaron Rodgers wasn't even good. Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[16:56] That's why I asked if he earned the right for this rope.
Speaker 6:
[17:00] He, Aaron Rodgers, better than Mason Rudolph, probably better than Will Howard. We can say probably because we haven't seen Will Howard, so you can't say 100%. But he was not the level of play that you sit back, you're like, oh, please, please, please, just come back. We'll wait. We'll wait. No, you should... They got it.
Speaker 5:
[17:22] There's a good chance Will Howard's the starting quarterback of the Steelers.
Speaker 1:
[17:24] Yeah, I mean, the Steelers brought in Carson Greene, Cole Payton, Talon Greene. They brought these guys in for top 30 visits. So they are aware that they are unsure of their quarterback position.
Speaker 6:
[17:36] Maybe Pittsburgh will be doing what the... They're quiet quitting, as in they won't... The signals won't be as clear as everybody else. Like, you know, the Jets, the Cardinals have like... Sure seems like these teams are going to play for next year, as in not play this year, and go after next year's quarterback market.
Speaker 1:
[17:56] I don't know, man. They traded for Pitman, gave them money. This is not a team.
Speaker 5:
[18:00] Mike McCarthy is not that kind of coach. That's the thing.
Speaker 1:
[18:04] And the Steelers aren't that kind of franchise. They are fine trying to win and get the playoffs.
Speaker 6:
[18:08] That was all Tomlin stuff. Right?
Speaker 5:
[18:10] They were 10-7?
Speaker 1:
[18:12] I think so. They were at least over 500.
Speaker 6:
[18:15] You have no future right now. And let's say Rogers comes back and we win six games.
Speaker 5:
[18:22] Well, you have a real problem if that happens. You're super hosed. They'll probably win more than that.
Speaker 6:
[18:27] Well, Tomlin would. Well, McCarthy, we'll find out.
Speaker 5:
[18:30] Yeah, they were 10-7.
Speaker 6:
[18:30] All right.
Speaker 5:
[18:31] We'll take a break. We'll come back with our draft predictions. It's going to be exciting.
Speaker 6:

Speaker 5:
[19:56] Awkward time to ask this, but hey, did you download the trail map?
Speaker 7:
[20:00] Yeah, no, I don't need to.
Speaker 5:
[20:02] I don't understand.
Speaker 4:
[20:03] You're trusting your signal out here?
Speaker 3:
[20:04] I'm trusting T-Mobile.
Speaker 4:
[20:05] They have the best network.
Speaker 6:
[20:07] If we end up in bum-tots nowhere, well, we've got T-Satellite for backup.
Speaker 3:
[20:11] Well, I don't trust my carrier that much.
Speaker 4:

Speaker 6:
[21:17] Oh, man, I forgot about that one.
Speaker 5:
[21:18] I didn't remember that whatsoever.
Speaker 6:
[21:19] In the year 2000.
Speaker 5:
[21:22] Okey-dokey, here we go. We'll start off with an easy one. We'll start off at the quarterback position, and we will barely call it a prediction. But Fernando Mendoza, we all have going to...
Speaker 6:
[21:33] The Jets.
Speaker 5:
[21:34] Nope, wrong. Try again.
Speaker 1:
[21:36] The Falcons.
Speaker 5:
[21:37] Oh, no, let's go Raiders. How about the Raiders? We know their story. I saw pretty interesting, right?
Speaker 1:
[21:44] Yes.
Speaker 5:
[21:45] We all got a point there. Saw some pretty interesting analytics. I don't know if either of you guys saw it. Just on the Raiders in general, their cap space, the dead cap coming off the book, the amount of money they spent in the offseason, which look, when you sign like Jalen Naylor, you mock that kind of assigning. You're like, oh, wow, they made big moves. They had a lot of other significant moves, both linebackers, Tyler Lindenbaum going to the... I mean, that is a monstrous signing.
Speaker 6:
[22:12] Yes, that's a big one.
Speaker 1:
[22:13] They traded for Max Crosby.
Speaker 5:
[22:16] Right.
Speaker 1:
[22:16] So that was pretty big.
Speaker 6:
[22:17] Two firsts.
Speaker 1:
[22:18] Yeah, they got two firsts for Max Crosby.
Speaker 5:
[22:20] I mean, they did... They have a lot going right in terms of where the franchise is headed. Mendoza is going to be a key piece of that. They have Bowers, they have Gentie. It was pretty interesting. If you have a first... The number one overall pick and you draft a quarterback, I believe the number is 15 out of the last 20 teams that did that were above 500 within three years. And so your odds are already... I mean, that's the way you build a franchise. You just talked about Pittsburgh and maybe having to tear it down to the nubs and find somebody. I think the Raiders are on the path. And I think you're kind of lining up well with the rest of the division in a few years. It's not going to be this year, but adding Mendoza, having Lindenbaum, Gentie, Bowers, probably some other weapons in the draft. They have six picks in the first four rounds, I think, something like that. They are well positioned. I think they're on their way.
Speaker 6:
[23:16] They have done, I think they've done about as good as you can. Had they been able to get the two firsts for Max Crosby, I think that's better for them long-term. Sure. But the coaching hires, we like all that stuff. It's been those of the truth that, I mean, I feel like it's always impossible to actually know before drafting.
Speaker 5:
[23:40] It's your best shot at the truth in this draft.
Speaker 6:
[23:41] Yeah. Oh, yes, for sure.
Speaker 5:
[23:42] And we're all going for the Raiders there. So let's move to Ty Simpson. The only other quarterback we'll throw a prediction in for today. Ty Simpson has been linked very often to the Cardinals lately. He had top 30 visits with Arizona, Cleveland and the Dolphins. He had a private workout with the Jets. Ty Simpson, Draft A Predictions. He's been on the fringe of the first and second round in terms of where a lot of people are estimating he'll go. I think he is a perfect candidate for a, like, dropping significantly. Just because when I look at that top of the second round, you know, I don't see very many teams that would take him outside of Arizona and the Jets.
Speaker 1:
[24:24] It's the Jets and Arizona in that order at the top of the second round, 33 and 34, that are both rumored, both brought him in, both have desperate needs for him. The question, I think, is because of the Jets at 33, the Jets at 33 are the reason that the Cardinals are so rumored to be trading up for him. To just kind of hop over, if they were to trade with Seattle, two spots, get that fifth year option and get ahead of the Jets, that would make sense. I went back and forth here between those two teams. It does seem like it's going to be one of those two teams.
Speaker 5:
[24:55] Yeah, I went. Why don't you guys go first? You guys both went with Arizona.
Speaker 6:
[24:59] I went Arizona.
Speaker 1:
[25:00] Chalky.
Speaker 6:
[25:01] I'm going to go bonus point, though. I think they trade up to Seattle's pick. Pick 32 and they draft Ty Simpson.
Speaker 5:
[25:11] Well, like Jason just said, that would be the target. I think the Jets would be okay taking him at 33. That's the pick I'm going with. I don't think the Cardinals get it figured out. I think maybe that's been overplayed. I'm going to go with the Jets.
Speaker 1:
[25:24] The crazy thing is like if the Jets don't take him, don't want him at 33, I feel like he would be available to trade up to 60. You know what I mean?
Speaker 5:
[25:38] Miami's at 43, they'd be in contention. The Jets at 44 from Dallas. Those would be a couple picks I'd keep my eyes on if he falls.
Speaker 6:
[25:45] Ty Simpson can easily Malik Willis or Shadoor this.
Speaker 5:
[25:52] It may slip a little bit. Pittsburgh could be in play at 53, by the way, or trading up. Pittsburgh is another.
Speaker 6:
[25:58] Yes, they absolutely could. So the known top 30 visits for Simpson, Arizona, Cleveland, Miami, and then the private workout for the New York Jets. The way that he's been talked about, it feels more like the quarterback that's going to have the longer wait.
Speaker 5:
[26:17] All right, let's have some fun, guys. Let's move on to the running back position. Considered by many to be the best player in the draft. Jeremiah Love out of Notre Dame. Draft day prediction for Jeremiah Love, who will instantly go and change a backfield into a likely very dominant running back room. I am going to... It took me a long time. I dismissed it for many, many months. I am going to go with the New York Football Giants. I think that the Cardinals... I know. I know.
Speaker 6:
[26:53] The people hated Andy.
Speaker 5:
[26:55] Here is what I think is going to happen. Oh, and I am going to be wrong. I mean, Jason is going to be right. Remember, he gets it right.
Speaker 6:
[27:00] Sick, then I am right, too.
Speaker 5:
[27:01] But I think the Cardinals will trade out of three. I think it will be with a team that wants to come up and get a defensive player. If Arvel Reiss is there, maybe Sonny Stiles. I don't think someone is trading up with the Cardinals for Jeremiah Love. And I don't think that Tennessee is going to pull the trigger on him at four. I think the Giants are not going to be able to resist him on the board at five. Best player available. They now have two top 10 picks. Their ability to take the shot on Jeremiah Love, you know, and still get a defensive player or another wide receiver is there. I am going to go with the Giants.
Speaker 6:
[27:36] That one's, I don't blame you, but I think that that's an impactful for one of your later predictions. I think it makes that a little more interesting. But I'm going Titans. I've had them going number four. I mean, maybe it's take lock, but I haven't seen anything to sway me off.
Speaker 1:
[27:55] Yeah, it's weird. Every mock everywhere always just has Jeremiah Love to the Titans. It feels like one of those things that's just been so copied and silent. If you're the Titans, you're like, yeah, just shh. Sure. And so I could see-
Speaker 6:
[28:10] We are totally going to do that.
Speaker 1:
[28:11] Yeah, exactly. I could see him not being taken there. He shouldn't be taken there. They have too many holes to fill. Teams in the top five should not be taking a running back, ever. But I do have them go into the Titans. I'm going to stick with that.
Speaker 5:
[28:22] All right. So Giants, Titans, Titans for Jeremiah Love. I have seen Washington, obviously, in recent mock drafts as well, who are there at seven, I believe.
Speaker 6:
[28:30] I feel like if he doesn't go at five, he goes to Washington.
Speaker 1:
[28:33] Yeah. Jadarian is like that would be my dream. Like for Fantasy Football, my dream is that he goes to the commanders. If I could pick the team in the top ten.
Speaker 6:
[28:43] I think Giants is equally as good as just the-
Speaker 1:
[28:45] But Cam.
Speaker 6:
[28:46] Yes. I'm saying if he goes-
Speaker 5:
[28:48] Scataboo is, I mean, you can see that working. That's what convinced me this last week, because I started to think about Love and Scat being a good tandem.
Speaker 6:
[28:57] Yes, it can work. We think of team construction, but you're better off taking a different player and rolling with Scataboo and Tracy. But Love would be great in New York. It's just the emotional sadness for the fantasy community.
Speaker 5:
[29:13] All right. It's going to get a little more wide open here. Jadarian Price out of Notre Dame, the running mate for Jeremiah Love.
Speaker 6:
[29:22] I saw that late.
Speaker 5:
[29:24] Was this a late pivot?
Speaker 6:
[29:25] Did you make a change?
Speaker 1:
[29:25] It was a late pivot. Originally, I had him go on 32 to the Seahawks. That was at the end of the first round, sneaking in there. The Seahawks desperately need a running back. But then I remembered something. John Schneider is awesome, the GM for the Seahawks. He is really, really smart. He is just, I mean, he's built two different teams with no coaches and no players together to the Super Bowl, just won a Super Bowl, made the brilliant move with Russ to get out, made the brilliant move from Gino to Darnold. And I think that would be one, I don't think Jadarian Price is the number two back in here, and he's definitely not a first round talent in my evaluation. And they will probably trade back, gather more picks and use some like mid second, mid third that they don't have to take a different player. So I pivoted and I think the reports are coming out that this team is very interested. They met with them. The Jaguars are in need. Bashell Tootin, you know, and Crod.
Speaker 5:
[30:27] Oh, no.
Speaker 1:
[30:28] They're not.
Speaker 5:
[30:29] They're not. You want to be a contender, Jacksonville, you probably need to add a back for sure. No. I disagree with you. I think John Schneider will take Jadarian Price at 32. This is the same. You said he's a great GM. This is the same GM that drafted Rashad Penny in the first round. He was great. No, no, that was not a great pick. I don't know what you're talking about, but Seattle.
Speaker 6:
[30:50] The injuries, Andy.
Speaker 5:
[30:51] Seattle is who I think when push comes to shove, they're probably Price or Tradeback. I think that's going to be their mentality is take him at 32 or Tradeback.
Speaker 6:
[31:01] I already told you they're trading back, which they could just take him in the second round. I'm going, hey, we're going vibes, baby. My vibes because crazy stuff happens and it's like, you know who loves running backs and needs another running back? Because I don't think Seattle takes Price in the first. The Detroit Lions, the Isaiah Pacheco, he could work. If you have no one else, okay, you have Pacheco as your backup. But you need a little bit more. Oomph. Yeah, you need a little bit more power now that David Montgomery is gone. And if anyone doesn't mind spending high draft capital on the running back, if they think it's the right guy, when you already have good players, the Lions will do it.
Speaker 5:
[31:44] We're going to get surprised with several picks that are in that category of, I didn't think you needed that, but you took it. The same conversation is the Jeremiah Love to the Giants. You're like, oh, well, do you take the best player that helps your team? I think that one's really interesting. Mike Washington Jr. I talked about it earlier. Tampa Bay. That's where I'm going to go. I'm going to go Tampa Bay. He did visit with Tampa, top 30 visits, Atlanta, Tampa, Green Bay, and Seattle. Seattle very much in play. I thought really long and hard about putting Seattle for both Price and Washington and hedging, because I think they end up with one. I think Jason, you had done that with-
Speaker 1:
[32:27] I had that.
Speaker 5:
[32:28] But now Price is not to Seattle for you? Correct. Yeah. I will go Tampa Bay. Coward. I think they'll try to add another running back to that room.
Speaker 6:
[32:37] Jay?
Speaker 1:
[32:38] Well, I figured-
Speaker 6:
[32:38] With Mike Washington.
Speaker 1:
[32:40] With Mike Washington, I'm going to go with the Falcons. I know they've got Bryan Robinson there and Bijon. But they did meet with him on a top 30 visit. Where their draft capital is, it makes sense to me. There's always surprises in every draft where it's like, wait, why? Mike Washington, I don't know, I'm not that bullish on him, so I think he slips past where his current mock drafts are having him go high.
Speaker 6:
[33:08] Well, perhaps you will have to get more bullish, Jason, when Mike Washington ends up as a Seattle Seahawk.
Speaker 1:
[33:13] I sure would.
Speaker 6:
[33:14] They, like, Ken Bonewalker is gone. If you like that archetype of just the faster, more athletic type, I was going to say maybe shiftier, but Mike Washington, force mis-tackles, was not very, is not Kenneth Walker-like. But with the draft falling, I don't think Seattle goes early, and I think they're patient and wait for the running back, and they can get him either in the late second or even the third.
Speaker 5:
[33:43] He might go higher than that, Mike. That 433, 40-yard dash.
Speaker 6:
[33:46] I know.
Speaker 5:
[33:47] We'll see.
Speaker 6:
[33:48] It moved him up.
Speaker 5:
[33:49] Yeah. I've seen him in first-round mocks very frequently. 99.
Speaker 6:
[33:53] Gross. Really?
Speaker 5:
[33:54] Yeah. At the end of the first? Yeah. I've seen it. I mean, I don't think that that's likely.
Speaker 6:
[33:59] I think you get your mock draft license revoked.
Speaker 5:
[34:02] 99th percentile speed score for Mike Washington. All right. Jonah Coleman and Emmett Johnson will be the last two names at the running back position for our predictions here. Jonah Coleman, I went with the Minnesota Vikings. Love it.
Speaker 1:
[34:16] Yeah, that's a great.
Speaker 6:
[34:17] I think all three of our spots would make us happy, I think.
Speaker 5:
[34:19] Yeah. Jason, this is where you have Seattle finding the running back.
Speaker 1:
[34:23] Yeah. I'm going to put Seattle with the back that I think is the best back outside of love.
Speaker 6:
[34:29] It would be exciting.
Speaker 1:
[34:30] That's Jonah Coleman. He's also, obviously, he played in Washington, so he was in for a local visit. It makes sense.
Speaker 6:
[34:39] I'm going with one that's just off the path here. Houston, I know they got David Montgomery, but they do need some more answers, and I think Jonah Coleman fits in perfectly with what Houston's trying to do.
Speaker 5:
[34:51] Emmett Johnson.
Speaker 6:
[34:53] Emmett.
Speaker 5:
[34:54] Mike and I are aligned on this one. We both decided Jeremiah Love was not falling to them at seven, and so Emmett is going to.
Speaker 6:
[35:04] Well, we're going to Washington.
Speaker 5:
[35:05] Yeah, the commanders. We're both going with the Washington commanders.
Speaker 6:
[35:08] Hopefully, what, a day two pick?
Speaker 5:
[35:13] Yeah. Washington picks at 71, early third round. I think that's about where I had him slotted in, so we'll see if he ends up there. I did like Emmett Johnson.
Speaker 6:
[35:24] Yeah. The production profile is monstrous.
Speaker 1:
[35:29] I'm going with the Minnesota Vikings. No team in the NFL brought in more running backs for top 30 visits than the Vikings. They are going to get a running back in this draft. You had them with the last running back. I've got them taking Emmett.
Speaker 6:
[35:42] That's a longer term. That's a great landing spot for your rookie drafts. It will take time because Aaron Jones is there and Jordan Mason is still around. So whoever the rookie is, they'll have to work their way up.
Speaker 1:
[35:53] Should be a good offense.
Speaker 6:
[35:54] But year two is not a lot in front of them. That's a player that will gain value over the year.
Speaker 5:
[36:01] Before we take a break and talk about the strength of the draft, the wide receiver position, Jason, I just need to check in. Are you doing-
Speaker 1:
[36:07] I'm so much better. It was cathartic.
Speaker 5:
[36:10] It was better than not talking about it.
Speaker 1:
[36:12] Yeah, I was in a bad, bad, bad, bad place. So I think that talking about it was really helpful. I can think, I can see clearly, like red is not over my eyes right now.
Speaker 5:
[36:25] You were not looking like a happy man.
Speaker 1:
[36:27] I was so upset.
Speaker 5:
[36:28] Have you ever been in this place in any other sport, like pickleball?
Speaker 1:
[36:33] In moments.
Speaker 5:
[36:34] Moments?
Speaker 1:
[36:35] Yeah, but I can play pickleball. I can't play golf. So it's frustrating.
Speaker 5:
[36:39] Yeah, you can auction your stuff off. We're ready for it. Let's take a break. We'll talk about wide receiver predictions. This should be fun.
Speaker 6:

Speaker 5:
[39:09] All right, we're back into our draft prediction starting with Ohio State's Carnell Tate. And it appears we are unanimous.
Speaker 6:
[39:19] We are.
Speaker 1:
[39:21] I was surprised. We're sorry. I was surprised by this.
Speaker 6:
[39:23] We all. Someone has to be.
Speaker 1:
[39:26] The sacrificial baby.
Speaker 6:
[39:27] Someone has to be banished to Siberia.
Speaker 1:
[39:29] We all three went with Carnell Tate to the Browns. That's a real dangerous pick, obviously. Early in the draft, it's very easy. As soon as they pass by him, well, we got that one wrong. And then all the chips fall differently.
Speaker 5:
[39:39] Which is very possible. I mean, they have such a high pick that they may not go wide receiver there.
Speaker 1:
[39:44] Yeah.
Speaker 5:
[39:44] I mean, it's...
Speaker 1:
[39:45] It makes sense. Obviously, they do need a wide receiver. If they want one of the top three guys, it seems more and more likely it's not going to get to their second pick. For the Jets and for the Browns, early on in the process, it seemed like, hey, one of these three guys maybe falls to their second pick. That's not happening anymore. At least, that's not how it appears. So if you want your guy, you're going to have to take them there.
Speaker 5:
[40:06] Jordyn Tyson out of Arizona State. I don't remember where he was on your guys' list. He's my number one rank.
Speaker 6:
[40:12] He's number one.
Speaker 5:
[40:13] This is what you thought was complicated about my situation. I actually have the Giants taking two offensive weapons for Jadarian.
Speaker 1:
[40:19] Five and 10.
Speaker 5:
[40:20] I have them using five and 10, both on...
Speaker 6:
[40:24] That's expansive.
Speaker 5:
[40:25] Weapons. So Jordyn Tyson is who I have going to the Giants. Mike, you also have Jordyn Tyson to the Giants. He had dinner with Mr. Harbaugh. They seem very intrigued by him.
Speaker 6:
[40:36] Number one, which is really the only reason I'm putting Jordyn Tyson to the New York Giants is because it would rule.
Speaker 5:
[40:44] That's a good...
Speaker 6:
[40:45] That's my analysis.
Speaker 5:
[40:46] That's a fine reason.
Speaker 6:
[40:47] It would be awesome. Neighbors, Tyson.
Speaker 1:
[40:52] Having the five and ten gives them real, real flexibility. They can... It's so funny though, because it gives them the flexibility to do this and take two offensive players in the top ten and just try to revamp it. I have them doing the exact opposite. Like, I've got them taking two defensive players. I didn't get any... Yeah, I had them taking Caleb Downs at the five, which I think you could only do if you've got two top five picks. Anyways, a report came out this morning, according to Tony Pauline, that the Saints will likely wait until day two to select a wide receiver. So of course, I have them going to the Saints on day one.
Speaker 6:
[41:28] You said nay to that report.
Speaker 1:
[41:32] I don't know.
Speaker 5:
[41:32] That's just rejecting the hot farts of the day before the draft. You never know what's going to happen.
Speaker 1:
[41:37] It just seems like, how could anyone report that? How could someone report they're going to wait until day two to take a wide receiver? Unless one of two things happened. One, they really are a true insider best friend, and they've kind of got the-
Speaker 5:
[41:55] They've seen the draft board.
Speaker 1:
[41:56] They've seen the sneaky snoek, or they got told, they got told like we're going to wait. You would never do that. That's a leak.
Speaker 5:
[42:07] Not to mention, you can't guarantee waiting. Most people are not going to build a board that's like, hey, an amazing wide receiver is on the board. We're not taking them, no matter what.
Speaker 6:
[42:15] But in a world where people expect you to leak lies, what if you leak the truth?
Speaker 1:
[42:22] Next level.
Speaker 6:
[42:23] He fakes about faking.
Speaker 5:
[42:25] Checkers.
Speaker 6:
[42:25] Did you guys, oh man, I tweeted it out. I gotta go pull it up, but it was not the other ESPN guy, former draft guy, McShay.
Speaker 5:
[42:39] McShay?
Speaker 1:
[42:40] Oh my gosh.
Speaker 6:
[42:40] The timeline of pick number two.
Speaker 1:
[42:42] Un-to. But unbelievable.
Speaker 6:
[42:44] Literally just day to day. He's like, it's unquestionably Arville Reese.
Speaker 2:
[42:49] Oh, without a doubt, it's Bailey.
Speaker 1:
[42:52] It is disgusting. It was disgusting reading that. It was like, I like McShay.
Speaker 6:
[42:57] I do too.
Speaker 1:
[42:57] But what the day by day tweets were was just unacceptable. Let me try to find it. Yeah, try to find it because it was like, I mean, it was adamant.
Speaker 6:
[43:08] Okay, here we go. April 15th. Now we're back to David Bailey and it's close to a foregone conclusion in Don FO. Draft Circles.
Speaker 5:
[43:15] Book it.
Speaker 6:
[43:16] April 16th. If I had to put my money on it right now, it would be David Bailey, the 17th. I sent out a text. The answer I got back was, we canceled the David Bailey meeting, which is the top 30 meeting. April 18th. I'm going to bed believing it's Arville Reese at the Jets pick number two. April 19th, the next day. Last Sunday, I said I wasn't decided. Now, here's my information. It's Arville Reese at number two. Okay.
Speaker 1:
[43:42] So he changed his mind, but at least he's sure now.
Speaker 6:
[43:43] Right. Two days later. I'm now with the belief that it's David Bailey.
Speaker 1:
[43:49] You want to know what's crazy? Because he's McShay.
Speaker 6:
[43:51] Come on.
Speaker 1:
[43:52] Every time that those tweets came out, it moved the lines. Like at Sportsbooks, we're like, oh, minus 120 for Bailey, minus 210 for Reese.
Speaker 5:
[44:03] That's rough, man.
Speaker 6:
[44:05] I understand it's difficult and you got to parse the information, and you will have a change of opinion.
Speaker 1:
[44:12] I hope it's a bit, but just like every day.
Speaker 5:
[44:16] Well, the change of opinion doesn't have to equal that level of hyperbole conviction in your tweet. Mike, if Jordyn Tyson ends up with the Giants, how hot and bothered is the Jackson-Dart conversation going to be this offseason?
Speaker 6:
[44:29] It will be.
Speaker 5:
[44:31] Because I feel like if Jason's right and Tyson ends up with the Saints, you've got a Lave Tyson with Tyler Shuck excitement. You should equip these guys.
Speaker 6:
[44:40] Yes.
Speaker 5:
[44:40] No matter whether it's now with this guy or later, Dart and Shuck need to be equipped with weapons. That's why I don't think they'll pass on both spots for an offensive weapon. I could be wrong. Harbaugh, they just traded Dexter Lawrence. They need to solidify.
Speaker 6:
[44:55] What will be tougher, if Tyson goes to the Giants, that will shake and move Jackson Dart's ADP. Where right now, to me, what I've seen is it's palatable. It's not everyone is like, this is for sure happening. Really? Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 5:
[45:09] Where is he at quarterback right now? Is he in the top 10?
Speaker 6:
[45:12] Pull that up.
Speaker 5:
[45:13] Probably eight.
Speaker 6:
[45:14] Meanwhile-
Speaker 1:
[45:15] Right now, Dart is seven. He's in the back of the seventh round behind Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 5:
[45:20] Do you absolutely want Jaden Daniels over Jackson Dart if this move happened? Let's pretend Jeremiah Love and Jordan Tyson went to the Giants. Is he a top five pick because he runs the football?
Speaker 6:
[45:30] Yeah, Dart would unfortunately get steamed up is what I was going to say. But if one of them goes to Shuck, who is Shuck? Do you have the ADP still in front of you?
Speaker 5:
[45:39] He's got to be like quarterback 1820.
Speaker 6:
[45:42] Kyle was saying on underdog, Dart is QB 11. Okay. So I mean, Dick, that's wild.
Speaker 5:
[45:48] That's a discount.
Speaker 6:
[45:49] That's wild to me of where he is right now. You put Tyson on that team, that's even crazier. But Shuck could turn into the true late round guy. Because Shuck runs more than you think.
Speaker 5:
[46:01] Well, we have four more wide receivers and then a couple of tight ends to get through. Makai Lemon out of USC, we went unanimous on this one. I still think there are other teams in place.
Speaker 6:
[46:12] For sure.
Speaker 1:
[46:12] The Dolphins, I think would be a- This Makai-
Speaker 5:
[46:18] We all went with the Rams, by the way.
Speaker 1:
[46:20] Yeah, we did. Bing, bing.
Speaker 3:
[46:22] The board lit up.
Speaker 1:
[46:23] It's a tough spot because he's got to get to the Rams past a few wide receiver needy teams. Obviously, we just had Tyson and Carnell Tate going ahead of Makai Lemon. If that order is different, then he'll never make it to the Rams.
Speaker 5:
[46:39] Omar Cooper Jr. out of Indiana. Right now, his over-under in the first round is 23.5. Seems like he's going to be a first round pick. I think there will be a lot of wide receiver needy teams that see those first three guys go and start fighting over the next three, which would be Omar Cooper, Denzel Boston, and Concepcion, not necessarily in that order. I went with Carolina. I think Carolina is going to make a splash move at wide receiver. And they have to give Bryce Young the chance to be it this year, and they can't do it with the existing room.
Speaker 6:
[47:13] They're like, Bryce Young, we think you can surpass 200 yards a game.
Speaker 5:
[47:17] That's it.
Speaker 6:
[47:17] We believe in you.
Speaker 5:
[47:18] That's confidence.
Speaker 6:
[47:18] I'm going with the Philadelphia.
Speaker 5:
[47:19] Are you talking about the playoff, Carolina Panthers?
Speaker 6:
[47:22] I am. I still stand by my statistic. I'm going with the Eagles. It's the AJ Brown gets traded either, well, not either. We wait for him to be traded. And Cooper is just sitting there waiting to replace him.
Speaker 1:
[47:39] And I'm going to go with the Steelers. They've still been looking at a lot of wide receivers. It's kind of weird to me that they would be so focused on the position after having DK Metcalf and Michael Pitman. But they are. So I think where they are in the draft, Cooper could be there.
Speaker 6:
[47:54] I love thinking about the Pittsburgh Steelers with Cooper. Sorry, do you think a first-rounder? Is that what you're going? Okay. So a first-round pick, Omar Cooper, then their other two wide receivers are both second-round picks, and there will be no one to throw them the ball.
Speaker 5:
[48:10] Will Howard, baby.
Speaker 1:
[48:10] Yeah, Will Howard.
Speaker 5:
[48:11] Will Howard. Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[48:12] Also, let the record show. I think Omar Cooper will go in the first round. I do not think Omar Cooper is a first-round talent.
Speaker 6:
[48:19] Okay.
Speaker 5:
[48:20] Denzel Boston out of Washington. A lot of top 30 visits. Boston out of Washington.
Speaker 6:
[48:27] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[48:27] This is Denzel Washington. You realize that? Do you realize that? It's Denzel Washington. He's from Washington.
Speaker 2:
[48:34] Yeah. My man.
Speaker 1:
[48:36] My man. Denzel.
Speaker 5:
[48:39] All right.
Speaker 6:
[48:41] Denzel Washington.
Speaker 5:
[48:43] Well, we figured that out. The 49ers is going to be my pick. The 49ers with Denzel Boston.
Speaker 6:
[48:51] That would be exciting.
Speaker 5:
[48:52] He did visit with them. We're all playing roulette here with these three names where we've got the same teams in contention, just different receivers.
Speaker 1:
[49:01] Yeah. I got the Jets with their second pick taking Denzel Boston. No, it wouldn't.
Speaker 6:
[49:06] I'm going Miami.
Speaker 5:
[49:07] Yep. They're going to get one for sure, I think. They need all of them.
Speaker 1:
[49:12] It was funny. I did my like a pick by pick official mock draft that I thought, and obviously the Dolphins desperately need a wide receiver, desperately. And the way that the draft fell according to my mock was just like there was no one there for them where they were picking. Could happen.
Speaker 5:
[49:28] All right. Denzel Boston, I went with the 49ers, Jason with the Jets, Mike with the Dolphins and then KC Concepcion.
Speaker 1:
[49:33] Mike and I went with the 49ers. Obviously they need a wide receiver. They brought in Mike Evans but they have to get some youth in there. Ricky Pearsall has not shown that he's the future.
Speaker 6:
[49:45] It's not.
Speaker 1:
[49:48] He hasn't busted but at the same time, Joanne Jennings was a better wide receiver for this team. Right. And that says something.
Speaker 5:
[49:55] All right. I actually went with the Philadelphia Eagles who Mike, I think gave Omar Cooper to. Yeah. I think they're going to add somebody for sure. The weird thing about the Dolphins because I realized they did not project the team, the Dolphins with one of these names. They're at 11. So, you know, they could grab one of the big names potentially. They're at 30. The over-under on a lot of these other names is going to be underneath that. They don't need to trade up if they want to use that second pick, I think, to get the names we talked about today or take them, you know, maybe it's Makai Lemon or something at 11. Let's turn the page now. Kenyon Sadiq, Eli Stowers. Let's go. Kenyon Sadiq, looks like you two were on the same page.
Speaker 1:
[50:39] We were, and I was surprised because we did these completely independently. I did mine via a mock, just picked by, yeah.
Speaker 5:
[50:45] He did his out on the golf course.
Speaker 6:
[50:47] You were like very studious. I was like, vibes.
Speaker 1:
[50:50] Yeah, you were vibes. And then I came back to the dock and I was like, oh, son of a gun. We both went with the Panthers, which would be a bit of a fall. The Panthers in the first round, where are they picking?
Speaker 5:
[51:01] That's not bad. I mean, that's about where I think he's going.
Speaker 1:
[51:03] That, me too.
Speaker 5:
[51:06] I guess, wait, are you talking 19?
Speaker 7:
[51:07] Oh, that would be a bit of a fall.
Speaker 5:
[51:09] I guess I was thinking 14, 15. So yeah, I think they're definitely in contention. Another weapon for Bryce Young fits the mold for equipping him. I went with the Minnesota Vikings. I think Minnesota is in play. He visited with them. We'll see what happens.
Speaker 1:
[51:26] They're the pick before Carolina.
Speaker 5:
[51:28] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[51:29] That'll be, we'll have our breath held at the 18th pick.
Speaker 5:
[51:33] Eli Stowers out of Vanderbilt who we love. I went with the Philadelphia Eagles. I went with the Philadelphia Eagles for Stowers. They're going to keep trying to add weapons. So that's the direction I'm going to go on the prediction and see if they can end up with Stowers maybe in the second round, maybe move up a little bit in the second round and get them in the 40s. Maybe not. Maybe get them in 54.
Speaker 1:
[51:57] You shouldn't have to move up according to where he is. Like his mock draft database, I think he's like in the 60s. You know, he's been lower a couple months ago to start this process. He was like, pick 100 was his assumption.
Speaker 6:
[52:10] And then we started talking about him.
Speaker 1:
[52:12] Yeah, exactly. Then we got hot and bothered for him.
Speaker 5:
[52:14] Oh, I love your pick.
Speaker 1:
[52:15] I told you that when you put it in there.
Speaker 5:
[52:17] They can go wide receiver, tight end, reset the market.
Speaker 1:
[52:19] They've always had a tight end. Zach Ertz into Dallas Goddard. They need a wide receiver with the presumed departure of AJ Brown. And Dallas Goddard is not long for the team. So Stowers would be perfect there. I had the Broncos in here because the Broncos want Stowers. I think that is for sure. But they pick late in the second. I have Stowers getting picked very high in the second, way above the expectations. I have the Titans taking them right off the bat in the second round.
Speaker 6:
[52:48] And I'm going with the Baltimore Ravens.
Speaker 5:
[52:50] Yeah, they could do it.
Speaker 6:
[52:52] Always looking for weapons. Lost Isaiah Likely. Chose Mark Andrews.
Speaker 5:
[52:57] It's not impossible for them to take Sadiq at 14 as well.
Speaker 1:
[53:01] Oh yeah, I agree.
Speaker 5:
[53:02] I agree with them as a definite contender for a top Titan.
Speaker 1:
[53:08] Top Titan.
Speaker 5:
[53:10] What do we got? We got some statistics in here from...
Speaker 1:
[53:14] Every year somehow, and I don't know the rules and what he does, but he has... Kyle makes this doc that tracks our picks and basically gives knockout power. Because obviously, for instance, if Jeremiah Love goes four, that hurts Andy who has him going five, and then we knock you out. The knockout power...
Speaker 5:
[53:36] So if certain people's picks are right... Yeah, I mean, you guys had quite a few that matched. I mean, me and Mike had a couple. I don't know if me and you had any that matched, Jason, which scares me because you've been winning this every year. Yeah, that's fair.
Speaker 1:
[53:49] I think you'll get that one, right?
Speaker 5:
[53:51] But yeah, we'll see. It's fun. It's exciting. We wanted to get the show out early for you, just so that you had an opportunity to listen to it.
Speaker 1:
[54:00] Because these will all sound real dumb real soon.
Speaker 5:
[54:02] Yeah, we've got to get this out there before it expires. But one final reminder for you on the Ultimate Draft Week giveaway, a listener league spot, two signed jerseys. Just go to ultimatedraftkit.com by the end of the weekend. Pick it up. You'll be entered to win. We'd love to have you in the listener league. That would be a lot of fun. That is it, guys. No more shows until these players have teams.
Speaker 6:
[54:25] Enjoy the draft.
Speaker 5:
[54:26] All of my predictions are incorrect. Goodbye. Let's hit the golf course, Jay.
