Speaker 1:
[00:15] Welcome back to Two Judgey Girls, this is Mary Frain the Bae.
Speaker 2:
[00:18] And it's Courtney from LA, and we're in part two, where we're breaking down the episode now. So I wanted to ask you, because the re-editing, what do you think they've either added in, or did they not necessarily add anything in, minus the music, the horror music of the conversation at the end?
Speaker 1:
[00:36] Courtney, that violin gave me chill. The music starts, I see you more. And I was like, and then-
Speaker 2:
[00:46] And her saying, that's all I wanted.
Speaker 1:
[00:48] The music stops, and they just hug.
Speaker 2:
[00:52] And she like cries into, we'll get there. We'll get there. It's just, I keep wondering what was being re-edited here, because we obviously get that scene with Amanda and West, but that felt like a necessary scene, so I can't figure out if they've added it. I watch this and I go, Amanda, please, you need to claim temporary insanity right now, because this is absolutely insane that you see what is happening with the two of them. And even though he makes amends and seemingly things are going to be okay between the two of them, what's crazy is that you know that how he can treat people. So you're literally almost being that, pick me of it's not like other girls. It won't be like that for me.
Speaker 1:
[01:37] Okay, I am trying to figure out that end conversation. Cause they say like, let's be best friends again. Was that Ciara saying, let's give this a go again, but let's give us a go as best friends? Or like, was that the opening for us to hook up again? I'm very confused. Was that her saying, I want to be your best friend again? Or like, I want to be everything to you again? I'm very unclear if it's a friendship or she wants to dive into the relationship again. I don't know.
Speaker 2:
[02:15] I mean, knowing, well, knowing from sources. Sure, sure. That they were potentially casually hooking up. The fact that she's invited him to, both of them, to her intimate 30th birthday party dinner, and he came. Like, the fact that these things are happening, and almost like last week, I'm like, how do you even get there at this point, right? Why would she invite him? And then you see this conversation, and you're like, the progress is insane. What a conversation. We had been saying, too, is like, they need to have this boundary conversation. Like, the, the, being a Black girl. Wait, what?
Speaker 1:
[02:47] Her birthday is December 24th.
Speaker 2:
[02:50] Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[02:52] This timeline, I.
Speaker 2:
[02:54] Oh, like has something happened between him and Amanda at this point?
Speaker 1:
[02:57] No, I don't think that, but.
Speaker 2:
[02:59] Well, she didn't go.
Speaker 1:
[03:00] Right.
Speaker 2:
[03:01] But I'm like, did she want to face her friend on her birthday?
Speaker 1:
[03:04] Did they hook up after the birthday?
Speaker 2:
[03:07] And it was a Christmas miracle? Lump of coal for him.
Speaker 1:
[03:12] I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 2:
[03:14] You guys, I also, I do need to make a statement because I'm always honest here.
Speaker 1:
[03:19] Sure.
Speaker 2:
[03:20] He looked really cute in his new confessional and I'm disgusted. Stop it.
Speaker 1:
[03:24] Stop it. What was it? The glasses?
Speaker 2:
[03:26] The whole thing.
Speaker 1:
[03:27] The baggy shirt?
Speaker 2:
[03:28] He has good fashion sense sometimes, okay? Like he does care. He's disarming and charming. I was disarmed and I was charmed. I was like, I wish that you hadn't done it because you look so cute.
Speaker 1:
[03:41] Okay. That was not for me.
Speaker 2:
[03:43] Okay. Guys, just be nice to me. Okay. You know I have trash taste. Okay.
Speaker 1:
[03:50] This is episode 12. It's called The Boys of Summer. And we start off the episode and it's Amanda, Ciara, and Mia on the bed. And Amanda couldn't have been nicer. You know, she's like, Ciara, I see you. Like, you are so loved. You are so important. You deserve so much more respect than what you get. Like, such a girl's girl. Lifting her up in this moment. You know, Mia's like, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 2:
[04:18] They all hug.
Speaker 1:
[04:20] Ciara is like in tears. You know, she's like, God, I want to shower.
Speaker 2:
[04:25] And then did you think it was code word for something?
Speaker 1:
[04:28] No, no, no.
Speaker 2:
[04:29] But also to like remember, because she's just seen West make out with this girl like that, the ultimate betrayal for her. Not yet. So unfortunately, it'll get worse here. I'm so sorry. But like this is something. This is why I cannot believe I'm like, Amanda, you are literally seeing what's happening. And yet, you're like, it'll be different for me.
Speaker 1:
[04:52] But don't you think that's like what love is? Like people, they put on their blinders, they see what they want to see and hope for the best.
Speaker 2:
[05:01] I would hope that if I'm going to hook up with someone in the friend group.
Speaker 1:
[05:05] Sure.
Speaker 2:
[05:06] That-
Speaker 1:
[05:06] But like also you wouldn't do this.
Speaker 2:
[05:08] I wouldn't because I would be able to see what has happened and been like, that's not going to be me. I'm not hooking up with someone in the friend group. If I date someone, I'm not reaching out and sending a survey to the exes wondering what happened.
Speaker 1:
[05:20] Now I'm like, did Amanda just like always have a crush on West and like-
Speaker 2:
[05:25] But I could also weirdly see it, right? Because he is so likable that it's like, it could be a friendly crush. Like you could have friendly crushes on, like you were like, I'd never act, but like I totally see why my friend would be with this person. Like what a cool person he is. But you know, that sure. And I also think too, it was like, this summer at this point, we have to remember where we are and how her relationship is going with Kyle. It's like, a man is treating her nicely. That is attractive when your self-esteem is in the gutter and your husband is calling you a dumb fucking bitch.
Speaker 1:
[05:55] Right, right.
Speaker 2:
[05:56] Like, but realistically, I'm being like completely honest, it's like West is being nice to her and saying like, you don't deserve this. Like she is-
Speaker 1:
[06:02] Sticking up for her.
Speaker 2:
[06:03] She is going to latch on to this person who is giving her attention.
Speaker 1:
[06:08] Sure.
Speaker 2:
[06:09] And not latch on, but be drawn to that person because, hey, they're being nice to me.
Speaker 1:
[06:14] No, I get that.
Speaker 2:
[06:14] Don't mistake my niceness for in love, but maybe do in six months. Okay.
Speaker 1:
[06:22] So then guys, nobody goes to Surflage. Just that one girl.
Speaker 2:
[06:26] What did she say?
Speaker 1:
[06:27] I think we're going to Surflage.
Speaker 2:
[06:31] Everyone goes to Common Grounds East, and everyone looks like they're having a blast. And I keep thinking like, this is insane because you guys were all wasted at this party and you still managed to go out. I guess everyone's showering.
Speaker 1:
[06:42] Code for we don't know.
Speaker 2:
[06:44] Narcs.
Speaker 1:
[06:47] Okay. Mia, I am obsessed with Mia. She's just like, life is so wonderful. She's having the best summer.
Speaker 2:
[06:54] I'm sorry. I feel like that was Sabrina who said that with her tall socks, with her black stripes at the top. Like, aren't we so lucky? That was her tucking a bed on the bed, I thought.
Speaker 1:
[07:05] Oh, okay. I'm sorry. I get distracted by Ben and Sabrina because they're always making out and I just don't want to watch that. They are such the PDA couple that bothers me. I'm just like, this is so-
Speaker 2:
[07:17] They can't have sex in the bed. It's too squeaky.
Speaker 1:
[07:19] They're rocking. They're like, oh, testing the rocking. Yeah, everyone hear us. Let's not do that today. Because guys also, they've been dating all summer. They never broke up. There's no way. Mary from San Francisco wants to know, when did you guys start hooking up? Was there a break?
Speaker 2:
[07:39] Mary from San Francisco would like to, every person down the couch, to give a timeline of whatever respective person they were dating at any point in time here. Darren KJ, Ben and Sabrina, Lindsay and any of the men she has secretly been dating. We want timelines, screenshots, proof, everything.
Speaker 1:
[07:59] I want a Maddie PowerPoint timeline, okay?
Speaker 2:
[08:02] Yeah, it's Strabby.
Speaker 1:
[08:03] Yeah. No, Maddie. Oh, Maddie Rees.
Speaker 2:
[08:08] I was like, who is Maddie? Maddie Rees. I'm sorry, it's Strabby. We want PowerPoint.
Speaker 1:
[08:12] Yes.
Speaker 2:
[08:13] Okay, but also, I thought it was like funny too, because it's like, okay, Jessie and Kyle, they are nomming on burritos. And Bailey goes, this is like the Discovery Channel. Jessie's like, National Geographic. Like, he wants to up the game there, you know, they're going to be cover stars.
Speaker 1:
[08:31] Then Kyle is kissing Amanda's cutout, because that's the most action he's gotten. Like, Jessie Solomon next week kind of reveals, like, they have not slept together in years. And I'm like, Jessie has the gossip. Well, he's a gossip girl.
Speaker 2:
[08:46] He is. So like, maybe he knew about an original hookup.
Speaker 1:
[08:52] I think Jessie knew stuff, but I could be wrong.
Speaker 2:
[08:55] But Kyle gets into that bed, and he's like, they purposely show us this. Was this re-edited? Now I have to think what was edited and what was real. Are we trying to see, like, was this originally in? Because, hey, maybe they were working on their relationship. Like, that's what I keep, ah. But he says, like, thanks for coming. And she's like, of course. He says, I love you. She says, I love you too. And you're like, if I didn't know what I know now, maybe those crazy kids could make it. Until this week, following weekend. But that's besides the point.
Speaker 1:
[09:22] They have like one good weekend together.
Speaker 2:
[09:24] Let's be honest. And did they? Because they actually fought at the party before when she said, do you want to start this fight, Kyle?
Speaker 1:
[09:30] That's so true. That's why he's thanking her for coming.
Speaker 2:
[09:32] Yeah. He's like, thanks. Thanks for liking me for one second. I didn't realize the timeline because I thought that Ciara hadn't flirted with West in six months, but he said it's only been 48 hours. I can't do this. Oh my God. Oh my God. Okay. Let's take a break and then let's go to the next morning.
Speaker 1:
[09:53] I'm sorry. KJ Indira could not be any cuter. He is like, you look so cute right now. And she's like, it's because I'm not wearing makeup. Like he just loves her natural look.
Speaker 2:
[10:04] I love them because also when she shows up when they do the boat day and she comes out in her bathing suit, he's like, he's like mesmerized by her. But KJ is such, he's just such a doll. We must protect him. And again, go read his threads, you guys, because he's like, here's a thought, I'm gonna type it.
Speaker 1:
[10:22] But I love in his confessional, he's like, I know this is different, you know, I've had my walls up because people have burned me in relationships and friendships and like, but I know I really like this woman and I need to put my walls down because like this could be my person.
Speaker 2:
[10:39] Which is also funny because I'm like, I don't think your walls are up KJ. Like you jumped in full force and you guys, but it's like feeling is mutual. Like they are vibing together so well. It seems so seamless. And they keep saying too, it's like the highlight right was like, she thinks soon it's he's going to ask her to be his girlfriend. And then he's saying like, you know, I might need to wait. And then he's like, by the way, I did it the day we left. Like he talked about that on Saturday, he was unclear if they were moving too fast. And then Sunday, he said, actually, let's move fast.
Speaker 1:
[11:12] I know. But I think it feels right. And I like what she said. Yeah, we are diving all in, but we're on the same page. And I appreciate Ciara and Mia taking him to the side and being like, it's kind of moving fast. They're trying to protect him. And they are also saying, she, I think, is on the track to get married, have kids. Are you on that track?
Speaker 2:
[11:36] She's a little older. Make sure that you guys are aligned. And it sounds like they are too.
Speaker 1:
[11:40] They're still together in real time.
Speaker 2:
[11:42] That's what I was gonna say. It's so nice to know that they're still together because it would also be crushing to have an interview with him saying, like, I put my walls up, I, you know, maybe I need to do this. And then thinking that they aren't together, you know? So knowing they are, I'm like, yay. We have one happy couple. Thank God.
Speaker 1:
[11:59] And she spills the tea. Like she runs into the room and KJ couldn't have left faster.
Speaker 2:
[12:04] He's like, I'm going downstairs. Also, there was something about the way that he took those stairs down that I was like, I don't understand how he naturally did that with his feet. It was like, but did you see how he did it? It was like, at one point, both feet are in the air. He's kind of like almost galloping down. I'm like, how did he do that? Like I would have twisted an ankle falling. And such a small moment there. But I was like, how did he do that?
Speaker 1:
[12:29] Quick on his feet.
Speaker 2:
[12:30] Yes, truly.
Speaker 1:
[12:31] But I love the deras. Like, let me tell you girls, West got obliterated and he only talked about you, Ciara. He was such a mess last night.
Speaker 2:
[12:42] And I'm wondering too, is like, when did the conversation happen though? Because we leave last week.
Speaker 1:
[12:49] Didn't happen at Surf Lodge. Happened at Common Ground's East.
Speaker 2:
[12:53] Or was it in the kitchen after or something? Like, where were they talking about it? Because Ciara and Mia went to bed straight away. And then it sounds like the house might have stayed up, but we didn't get to really see that scene.
Speaker 1:
[13:02] Maybe by the hot tub and he was just dishing it out.
Speaker 2:
[13:06] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[13:06] I like what Dara said. She's like, he's got to tighten that shit up. That is ridiculous.
Speaker 2:
[13:11] Dara, if only he could. If only he could. And that's what's crazy is you're watching this. And God, they had the world at their hands, both of them in separate conditions. And yet they thought, let's fuck it up.
Speaker 1:
[13:26] Well, and then, so then we get Ciara's confessional in this moment. And she's talking about like, maybe I want to be friends again. She's like, I love just giggling till 2 a.m., but I'm really scared to be his friend again. Like, I don't want to get bamboozled again.
Speaker 2:
[13:44] Ciara.
Speaker 1:
[13:45] But in this moment, is she really, does she want to be friends or is she opening up the relationship? I'm genuinely confused.
Speaker 2:
[13:51] So this is what I was saying before with them, is the fact is, they weren't friends before they dated, right? Yeah. You came into the house, they attached themselves to each other pretty quickly. Like they had an instant connection. And sure, they were technically friends, but with a could be more. And so it's really hard when you don't have that foundation of friendship, right? To be like, let's be friends again, because there's always this flirtatious nature.
Speaker 1:
[14:17] They can't be friends. They can't.
Speaker 2:
[14:18] They literally can't be friends. And that's the problem is like when I think she's saying like, I would love to be friends. But I think for her, she can't be friends with him. He could be friends with her because he knows how to do that, because he could be friends with anybody he's hooked up with at any single point as good at that. Disarming and charming. I mean, disarming and charming. But for her, and I think that there is, I think Two is like everybody has at this one point, Two is someone that they dated that will be the person that like, they come back into your life and you're like, God damn it. Like, I always have this connection with them. Even when you try to be friends, they're still just like this name, that line gets blurred. And for her, that is West, but it doesn't mean it's reciprocal.
Speaker 1:
[15:00] Well, and they're forced to hang out.
Speaker 2:
[15:02] And in any normal situation, and as we've said with Vanderpump Rules too, and it's like you wouldn't be in these groups where you're hanging out with your ex. Like New York City is big. They keep trying to tell Amanda this after the fact. Like it is big. There are eight million people there. I don't know that right number, but just like there's so many people there that you have to stay in the friend group. Google it right now.
Speaker 1:
[15:23] There's not even a million people in San Francisco.
Speaker 2:
[15:25] I think maybe eight was right. I don't know. But I think for like Ciara is like, she does really want to because she knows she has fun with him. I think if she could just be friends with him, it'd be great. But there's that flirtatious nature. Think about the weeks that we've seen too.
Speaker 1:
[15:39] What? It's eight million.
Speaker 2:
[15:42] Oh, I subconsciously have known that. Eight point five.
Speaker 1:
[15:45] Wow, Courtney, on it.
Speaker 2:
[15:47] You're really good at census. Amanda, did you hear that? Eight million people. West, did you hear that? Eight million people. West is like, I know. I slept with half of New York. I'm married with Marks.
Speaker 1:
[15:58] Okay, Carl. God, I love him. He got McDonald's and bagels.
Speaker 2:
[16:03] What would you go for?
Speaker 1:
[16:04] What would you go for?
Speaker 2:
[16:05] And he kills flies. Well, I don't like a hash brown for McDonald's. I feel like you do. I know. What? I know.
Speaker 1:
[16:11] Oh my God. Put some ketchup on it.
Speaker 2:
[16:12] I know. But here's, we could have a conversation about potatoes if you'd like. It's okay.
Speaker 1:
[16:17] We don't have to do that.
Speaker 2:
[16:18] Not in the studio.
Speaker 1:
[16:19] Not in the studio.
Speaker 2:
[16:20] Sure. Let's show some respect. But when it comes down, I'm not a hash browns girl. That's not how I want my potato.
Speaker 1:
[16:27] Oh, so you want like a home potato?
Speaker 2:
[16:29] I either, I want a french fry.
Speaker 1:
[16:31] Oh, of course.
Speaker 2:
[16:31] Like if you, like we need to-
Speaker 1:
[16:33] Let's get french fries after this.
Speaker 2:
[16:34] I was going to say, we need to recognize a morning fry. I don't think that would be inappropriate. You give me a hash brown, you give me a home potato, you give me that. I could have a fry.
Speaker 1:
[16:42] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[16:43] Like, oh, you're not going to serve fries till 10:30 AM, McDonald's? Okay, well, I guess I'll wait till 10.30 to order. Of course.
Speaker 1:
[16:49] And get that diet coke.
Speaker 2:
[16:50] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[16:50] I'll have the fountain.
Speaker 2:
[16:51] Regular coke for me if I'm going to McDonald's. It's the syrup. They do something special. But, okay, so I'm going for the bagels.
Speaker 1:
[16:58] I'd probably do a hash brown and a bagel.
Speaker 2:
[17:00] Oh, of course.
Speaker 1:
[17:00] Because I was still hungover. Just carve up.
Speaker 2:
[17:02] Half a bagel loaded with cream cheese. Also-
Speaker 1:
[17:05] Everything bagel.
Speaker 2:
[17:06] Also, everything bagel.
Speaker 1:
[17:07] Oh, yeah, plain cream. What's your bagel order?
Speaker 2:
[17:10] Plain bagel, toasted cream cheese.
Speaker 1:
[17:13] Plain. Just plain plain.
Speaker 2:
[17:14] Plain, yeah.
Speaker 1:
[17:15] Plain, yeah, okay.
Speaker 2:
[17:16] Don't, like, no, eat whatever's available. Okay. Beggars can't be choosers. But if I have a choice, there's nothing better. The problem is, too, do they have a toaster there or an air fryer?
Speaker 1:
[17:27] I don't think you had to toast it. Those were pop-up bagels. Yeah, I don't think you had to.
Speaker 2:
[17:32] They were ready.
Speaker 1:
[17:33] Yeah, they were good. They're doughy. They're a New York bagel. They didn't need any jushy. They were a rip and dip.
Speaker 2:
[17:39] My apologies. Okay.
Speaker 1:
[17:42] Let's talk about Ciara and West. This is their first talk the next morning, and this is when West has the new confessional. Corey looks great. And he says, of course, I feel bad. My main objective all the time, every day, is don't upset Ciara. I don't want to hurt her feelings. We were on such a good track. We were making slow progress. And I enjoyed flirting with her after midnight. But to think I ruined it for making out with someone I never met really sucks. I'm like, where'd you meet the girl then?
Speaker 2:
[18:18] Well, that's what I was thinking too. I was like, wait, you've never met, but yet she's at the party and you invited 96 of them.
Speaker 1:
[18:24] Right.
Speaker 2:
[18:25] You invited 96 of the party guests. So I was thinking like maybe they've met in passing, but they don't really like know each other. She's a friend of a friend. I mean, she could have told us that in the DMs, but she did it.
Speaker 1:
[18:35] Right.
Speaker 2:
[18:35] Because we just wanted to know if she went to Star Platj. Right.
Speaker 1:
[18:37] Right. I also think he was testing the waters and it didn't work. He has wanted to do this. Probably he wanted to do this at the beginning of the summer. In his mind, it's been two years.
Speaker 2:
[18:48] Eighteen months.
Speaker 1:
[18:50] Right. But in his mind, it's been two years. Nothing's happening with me and Ciara. So I am going to bring girls to the house. I'm going to live my real life on camera. Then he realized real fucking fast that that didn't work.
Speaker 2:
[19:03] But again, had they had this conversation they have with each other before that, it would have been different. Him trying to do that was only going to end poorly for him. I think the guys also are like, especially Jessie too, because I think Jessie, obviously Ciara is one of his besties, whatever. But I think he's also like, why would you do this? He said that in the confession. He was a voice of reason last week. But it's like, why would you do this when you guys are on decent terms? You didn't need to do it. You could have done it in the corner while she's sitting next to you.
Speaker 1:
[19:38] Right, okay, so controversial question. Should he never have been able to bring a girl to the house? What do you think?
Speaker 2:
[19:46] He can absolutely bring a girl to the house. But it's like, in these party situations, which also everyone's calling this the best party ever, no costumes, no props, just alcohol. Vegas, baby. Yeah, like Jesse Solomon, who put in zero effort, had the best party. And they're all saying it was the best party. Like, it's like a unanimous best party ever.
Speaker 1:
[20:06] I don't know.
Speaker 2:
[20:06] Take notes, guys. Yeah. Take notes. I think he should be able, I think he needed to have a conversation with Ciara. And obviously he's letting her lead to, and he even says in their combo later is about boundaries. Like, I will go with whatever boundaries you want. That all he had to do was have that combo with her before. Didn't maybe need to go as deep as the one that they had, but they could have just said, hey, we aren't anything. And he could have put the kibosh. I don't think he wanted to put the kibosh on it because he wanted to leave the door open if she wants to hook up with him again.
Speaker 1:
[20:36] And he did and she took it.
Speaker 2:
[20:38] I know.
Speaker 1:
[20:39] She went in the door.
Speaker 2:
[20:40] What do you think? Okay.
Speaker 1:
[20:43] I think what you said, it's like the fact that he did it right in front of her and that was way too much. But yeah, they should have had a conversation as well. So, I mean, I do think if you're not dating and like, you should be able to bring who you want to the house.
Speaker 2:
[21:01] But I also feel like this confessional from him is a little manipulative in a way. So like him saying like, my main objective is to not upset her. That's not your main objective. Your main objective is to have a good time. Is that a good time? Yeah, but like your main objective is to have fun in Summer House. Your main objective is not Ciara's happiness. Like don't lie to us there, but you need to just be- And he is a liar, I don't know.
Speaker 1:
[21:22] He knows he has to apologize. So he walks in the room and he's like, you know, I apologize for being a shitty friend. I don't feel good at all today. I'm personally really bummed, you know, at a friendship level, things were okay, and I hope I didn't fuck that up, you know, whatever was built this summer and for the rest of the summer.
Speaker 2:
[21:42] Ciara's response to West is like, this is why I didn't want to be friends with you to begin with. Like, this doesn't make any sense. I want you to live your life and be free. And I think it's just best if we are not friends. And I thought that was really interesting because she's obviously upset at this point, right? Like this has just happened 24 hours, less than 24 hours. And it's just kind of like, now my walls are back up because you did that. So like you did, I just don't want to even talk to you right now. And I think that was the right statement in that moment because she's like upset about it. But also is like, I can't get heated about this. I can't get like show that he's like gotten to me. And I just need a moment away from him. Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[22:24] And West is like, well, I guess it's a lot harder for me. You know, I've been closer to you than anyone else here.
Speaker 2:
[22:32] It hurts me for my own actions. Like that's why I'm like, he just is like a little manipulative in this.
Speaker 1:
[22:38] If just knowing what we know now, also production made them have this moment because he would never be confrontational. And he says like, I can't live in this awkwardness. Like I, it bugs me. It makes me feel horrible. I can't pretend. I don't know you. It just takes so much out of me.
Speaker 2:
[22:56] I mean, the somber chorus of that one song, it's like, how can we go back to be in friends when we just shared a bed? I said we wouldn't sing in this studio, but here we are. We did, we did. But you know, Ciara kind of says, I don't have much to offer you. She's like, I'm also hung over. And productions made us have this conversation and I need to close the door because I would love to go throw up. The headache I'm rocking right now, like the hash brown did not help. Yeah. You know, I needed a diet coke with that.
Speaker 1:
[23:30] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[23:30] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[23:30] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[23:31] Okay. Let's take a break and come back.
Speaker 1:
[23:37] Okay. This medium moment. Oh my God. So Mia and her brother, Nick, who she's obsessed with, wants to move into her building.
Speaker 2:
[23:45] She is slowly going to take over the building. It's going to turn into Mia's building and she's just curated every single resident there. I kind of love it. I do too. I do too.
Speaker 1:
[23:55] And we learn more about the mother. So the mother had an autoimmune disease, ended up getting pneumonia and passed. She's like, I never got to have this proper goodbye. She just wants closure and this medium comes. And right away, a woman comes forward and it actually is the grandmother. And then finally, the mother comes forward as well. And the mother says, you need to know I'm okay. Like I've been coming to you in your dreams because I want to let you know I'm okay. I'm breathing okay now and I'm so happy. You are a beautiful girl.
Speaker 2:
[24:31] I'm proud of you.
Speaker 1:
[24:33] And why did you take a picture of my hand? And Mia's just like, this is exactly what I needed to hear. We have the same finger as like the hand moment meant so much to me because I don't want to forget what your hands look like. And her one question is, am I on the right track? And her mom's like, you gotta have more confidence in yourself. Like you feel stagnant. And she says, you know, don't worry, you're gonna have, I have chills. It's so cute. She says, don't worry, you're gonna have a baby girl that was always their plan.
Speaker 2:
[25:07] And that's crazy. The cynic in me wants to not believe a medium, right? Like they tell you what you want to hear, which sometimes that's all people need to, is just to hear everything's okay because you do need to feel this closure and you'll never have closure, right? She says, grief is so crazy and it totally is. But then you get like little snippets of things. And let's just say in a couple of years too, Mia has that baby girl. Then it's like, that's insane. But I kind of was like, I wouldn't mind seeing Tiffany. I don't know who's coming forward to say anything. Like, I don't know if anyone's like circling my orbit, but that was like, she just needed to hear that. And I think that was really great for her because the hands thing, that was like weird. I'm breathing okay. Like, the little details.
Speaker 1:
[25:56] The woman knew, the woman knew. I believe people can come forward. And I'm very curious because Mia thinks she's stagnant in the relationship. We got to meet Scott this week. Are they together?
Speaker 2:
[26:09] Okay, I was wondering, because she doesn't seemingly ever post him in general. She's not following a Scott on Instagram, I checked. But does he have Instagram? He seems like someone who wouldn't.
Speaker 1:
[26:23] What was your vibe? Did you, would you want to throw the pigskin with him?
Speaker 2:
[26:27] What's that? I was like, I started laughing. I was like, girls. He's a guy's guy, but he can be a girl's guy. I liked him. I thought they had a really nice familiarity with each other. And I also think he came to the house as a favor for her. Like I thought he was supposed to be somewhere. Like he's talking about how he needs to go back to Miami. He doesn't know how long it's going to be for. And you know, again, the cynic is like, well, that's bad. But then I thought, actually, maybe it's really good because he was supposed to be gone. And he decided to drive the two, three hours to the Hampton so that he could be there for Mia for one night. I'm trying to find good- Sure. We don't have a lot of good guys and I'm trying to find the good, okay? It's really tough.
Speaker 1:
[27:08] I'm worried because I think she's making compromises and she's voicing her hesitations. And so I feel like she kind of knows in her gut that maybe this isn't it, but I don't know.
Speaker 2:
[27:21] I was getting the vibe from her confessionals too, that I was like, I question, I was like, I don't know if they're together now because I was trying to figure out when she says she's stagnant in her relationship and something needs to change, is that because she needs to have a serious conversation with him or she knows it's over?
Speaker 1:
[27:36] I know, I don't know. We got to figure out if they're together or not. How do we not know this?
Speaker 2:
[27:40] I was just going to say that I think we'll find out in six weeks if they are together or not. I love Mia so much. I'm so sad that she wasn't introduced to us so many seasons prior.
Speaker 1:
[27:51] Obsessed with her, such an amazing person.
Speaker 2:
[27:54] Her confessionals are so funny too, when she'll be like, so grief is like crazy. She's like, and I know you didn't sign up for this, but she's talking to the producer, but also like talk. She is just, she's gold. She's amazing. Yeah, I love her. But I just, I wanted to find the good. I was like, Scott is doing this for Mia. He is coming out for one night. He's spending 12 hours there. He's not even making it to the boat. He knows everything because, and I'm fast forwarding for a second, we'll rewind. But there was this moment where they're talking about how Ciara and West have left early. And they're like, oh, wait, who left early? Oh, Ciara West. And Scott goes to Mia. Ciara and West?
Speaker 1:
[28:30] Wow.
Speaker 2:
[28:31] Like he knew the lore.
Speaker 1:
[28:33] Ciara's hooking up with West? He has?
Speaker 2:
[28:35] No, he knew all the details that he was like, oh, this conversation. No, not that they're hooking up.
Speaker 1:
[28:41] I thought it was, I didn't get to that moment. I thought it was like, that was a thing at some point.
Speaker 2:
[28:46] No, like he, like Mia had put up, he knew the details because he had sat through plenty of conversations, listening to Mia and Ciara talk about this, that he knows the details. He knows, like at that point it was like, I know we've met Scott at the house warming, but it was like, he's known these players and now he knows the game.
Speaker 1:
[29:03] Sure, got it.
Speaker 2:
[29:04] You know, like he's got all the, he's throwing the pig skin. I know, with every person in that house. I don't, I want to like him.
Speaker 1:
[29:10] And I also thought too, I'm worried, I'm worried.
Speaker 2:
[29:12] We go to that weekend, right? It's seven boys and it's three girls. And I saw him in the pool with the guys because I think maybe Mia and Ciara went and worked out or something. Maybe the three girls went and worked out because they were all like, the three of them were like in workout clothes, changing for the night. You know, when, when Ciara FaceTimes Amanda.
Speaker 1:
[29:29] But wait, let's talk about the dogament that West.
Speaker 2:
[29:32] Oh, God. Let's, let's rewind. Yes.
Speaker 1:
[29:35] The long hug between West and Amanda. I noticed that was an extra long one.
Speaker 2:
[29:40] At 82 Stanton, which is where KJ and Dara had their first date, which is where the bartender called West to let him know. That's his place where he also, when he told me when I was in New York, I should go to 82 Stanton. That is West's bar. Okay.
Speaker 1:
[29:54] I also thought it was really interesting that like, Kyle was not in the conversation at all. Why was that?
Speaker 2:
[30:01] Production.
Speaker 1:
[30:02] Yeah. So that was kind of interesting to me that they chose like Kyle, you stay out of this.
Speaker 2:
[30:07] But did you also notice too with that is that they were like, okay, Amanda, you and West are going to stay outside and talk and he's going to build the step and repeat. And then they show the clip of Kyle going in. He says, wifey would like an Aperol spritz. I'll take a, and you know what? He's going to take a Guinness suit. Like they wanted to show a good side of Kyle getting the drink for West and Amanda, like wifey wants. And then he's like, here you guys go. It's just, was it originally in there? Sure, I don't know. But again, that different lens you have to look at, it's like, are we trying to make Kyle the good guy again?
Speaker 1:
[30:38] I don't, I don't know. But Kyle and Amanda seem to be doing well right in this moment.
Speaker 2:
[30:44] So what happened from Wednesday to Friday?
Speaker 1:
[30:47] We don't know.
Speaker 2:
[30:47] Okay, but back to the dog event. So Amanda is talking to West. And this is why I'm like, this is so insane to me that this is your guy, because you're having this conversation. Again, probably a good friend, not a good partner. But what's upset Amanda the most was that you've been such a good friend to me all summer with the Kyle stuff, which again, that's why I'm saying I think she's got this crush on him because somebody's being nice. And then to watch you disrespect Ciara, you've really put a weird dynamic on these relationships. And so I'm like, you're watching his behavior. This is not an exception. This is the rule of West. And you think you're going to be different.
Speaker 1:
[31:23] I know, I know. And for me, West in this moment, he's like, God, I just feel awful. I've had the scaries all week. And to me, he's having the scaries because he's afraid of the audience.
Speaker 2:
[31:36] I was going to say the same thing.
Speaker 1:
[31:39] Yeah, yeah, no.
Speaker 2:
[31:40] That's why I'm saying he's the audience reaction.
Speaker 1:
[31:42] What did I jeopardize? A friendship, a rekindling, tolerating me for eight weeks in the summer. And I'm like, no, he's so worried about the Bravo fans in this moment.
Speaker 2:
[31:52] Which is crazy. He did what he did. That's what's so crazy. So I'm like, I think he was having the scariest of like, oh crap. Like, and I want to give him the benefit of the doubt here and that he was trying to be okay with Ciara, like and move forward. Mostly so he could either do whatever he wants with whoever, but also because it all works better when everyone's getting along. And they do have a flirtatious relationship that I think he was like, I would like to obviously be friends and not enemies.
Speaker 1:
[32:17] Right. Okay. So then Amanda's advice is like, well, you should apologize again. And then she's also like, I've heard you've been flirty with her, you know, but definitely apologize again. So everyone goes the next weekend and we find out that Amanda isn't going to be there. And Kyle's like, just got off the phone with her. But we don't know why she isn't coming.
Speaker 2:
[32:38] I was thinking it's just because she's sick again. Right. She's always sick.
Speaker 1:
[32:42] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[32:42] And maybe she's got to wash the striped sweater or something.
Speaker 1:
[32:45] Maybe. So then Ciara FaceTimes her and she's like, I cannot believe you didn't come. There are seven fucking guys here.
Speaker 2:
[32:54] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[32:54] And West walks in on the FaceTime and he goes.
Speaker 2:
[32:58] Well, but before that, because she, Amanda asked, has West talked to you yet?
Speaker 1:
[33:02] Right.
Speaker 2:
[33:02] Which is like, I was like, I don't even know if this has been set up or productions like, West, you go knock on that door now.
Speaker 1:
[33:08] And he walks in and he goes, So I don't feel better. After a week, I'm really bummed and I apologize. And then he just leaves.
Speaker 2:
[33:17] He's like, tell whoever's on FaceTime, like that's your future girlfriend. Your future dating partner, your future exclusive. We're not sure what the label is right now.
Speaker 1:
[33:29] But he did that just because he had to, because Amanda told me to apologize again. So he just said it again and he just says, I apologize. And it's so uncomfortable. It's so weird. They're giggling, cackling. And Ciara's like, are you fucking kidding me? That's all you're gonna say.
Speaker 2:
[33:47] And Amanda's like, I am so sorry Ciara. I can't keep saying you're witnessing this and you still think you're gonna be different. For Amanda, I hope it is. I hope it is different because this is crazy to watch all of this. And then I thought it was wild that then Ciara goes to the room because she's like reflecting back like, okay, I probably wanted to say some things or maybe production said to, was like, production was like, you guys gotta clear the air here. And walks in there and is like, hey, coffee tomorrow. And he's like, okay. And he like walks in, Jessie is fully showering. He walks in, she's like, hey, she wants coffee. And I just laugh, I go, these people have all seen each other naked so many times. Go, by the way, go watch the skinny dipping scene again from season one, or season 10, episode one. Okay. Just go watch that.
Speaker 1:
[34:37] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[34:37] Just go watch, go watch the scene.
Speaker 1:
[34:40] Okay, let's just get to this coffee moment because I can't. Okay, West is freaking out. He's like, you know, I woke up before my alarm. You know, everyone's going to go to the boat. The whole house is talking. Oh my God. West and Ciara are having a talk. Like this is big, big shit. And Ciara, it also bothered me that Ciara had to kick off the conversation. It's like, he's such not a man. So she kicks off and she's like, so it's been two years of nothing really being said. And you know, I'm scared to be nice to you and be myself because I'm afraid I'm going to be embarrassed. Last weekend, the very thing, I was afraid of, actually happened.
Speaker 2:
[35:18] Just keep waiting because it's going to get worse.
Speaker 1:
[35:21] Right. You sat next to me and you didn't see me. And that is triggering.
Speaker 2:
[35:27] Did you think this conversation went well though?
Speaker 1:
[35:31] Courtney, I think they literally at the end of this conversation are like, let's start hooking up again. I think she gave him the opening. That's what's so, so crazy.
Speaker 2:
[35:41] Well, but I loved, as I mentioned before, the breaking of the fourth wall here, I thought gave such intel about how they have to handle the show and their relationships. So like Ciara's like, I don't mean to rehash this, but the way you handled yourself in the media was the nail in the coffin. You downplayed our relationship and the exact quote, we aren't each other's people. I considered you my best friend and it's so hurtful because I don't not throw, I'm not Sheena Shea. Right. I don't have 56 people's locations and they're my best friend. Okay.
Speaker 1:
[36:14] Don't give out your location, people.
Speaker 2:
[36:15] It feels like I didn't know you because I didn't expect that. And then I was like, you know what? It really was downplayed their relationship because when he said, he started talking about that house, which means that that house conversation has been going on for two years. Yes. Like where Ciara was like, I want to buy this house. Like the fact that he knew all these details and then was like, I know more than anybody in this house and she's agreeing with that. Like this is crazy. The fact that like you really were so deeply connected and you knew her inner thoughts and secrets and everything.
Speaker 1:
[36:46] And you introduced her to your parents. You took her to Montana. You rode horses with your family.
Speaker 2:
[36:52] Well, so did Kyle. He did it to Kyle too.
Speaker 1:
[36:55] Good. They're friends.
Speaker 2:
[36:55] Has Amanda gone yet?
Speaker 1:
[36:57] If you, oh God, I can't. Oh my, oh my God. Are they gonna spend the holidays together?
Speaker 2:
[37:03] Ah, I'm dying.
Speaker 1:
[37:05] I'm dying again.
Speaker 2:
[37:06] Which holiday?
Speaker 1:
[37:07] Christmas.
Speaker 2:
[37:09] Ciara's Christmas birthday? The betrayal, the betrayal. But I just thought that was such an interesting point to know how close they are.
Speaker 1:
[37:17] Well, and they dropped the fourth wall in this moment. Because they're basically like, I think this got really out of hand because of the fans and the Bravo community and what we're reading on our phones. From all of us guys.
Speaker 2:
[37:29] Right, right, right. But didn't also what he said too. And the natural instinct is when they're pitting two people against each other. And this was so telling because he says, we are connected. And I'm like, here's the in-between lines. West doesn't want to be connected to Ciara as Summer House. He wants to be West Wilson's star of Summer House, not West Wilson who was on Summer House who dated Ciara. Like there, because when he came on the show, they connected so fast. He was, every conversation that's about West and talks about Summer House, Ciara gets involved in it. Not her personally, but the reporter will say, famously Wilson dated castmate Ciara Miller, age 31, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1:
[38:11] He wants to have his own name without Ciara.
Speaker 2:
[38:14] Exactly. He wants to be West Wilson, disarming and charming. But really, and he was saying, naturally, your reaction is to hate the person. I was like, that's not the natural reaction. The natural reaction would go to talk to that person and then be like, can we have a conversation where we can have a united front about what our relationship is? Not hate, but okay.
Speaker 1:
[38:34] I thought it was interesting that she's like, I'm sorry I wasn't there for you at that time when the press and the media were coming after you. I should have communicated with you.
Speaker 2:
[38:44] Do you think he reached out to her at any point then and was like, can you say something? Or do you think there was a conversation about that? Or do you think she just feels guilt in a way where she was like, I probably could have put the kibosh if I just said, we're friends?
Speaker 1:
[38:58] Right.
Speaker 2:
[38:58] Like I do think she's doing too much there of giving him an out.
Speaker 1:
[39:03] She was very gracious in this conversation and he genuinely thought this conversation was the ending of the friendship and they were never going to talk again. And he was so surprised by the end of this conversation that she literally said like, I miss you as a friend. And he said, me too, how can I not? And she's, Ciara's like, I don't want people talking shit about you. I don't think you're a bad person. I've never thought that. Like last year, I needed space and like, she basically takes her walls down. The music starts that violin and he finally says, I see you now. And they, like, this is all I wanted.
Speaker 2:
[39:48] And I'm happier when we communicate, me too. She's like, can we just be best friends again?
Speaker 1:
[39:55] Courtney, I could not. I was genuinely shocked when she said that. I, I, I, I, chills.
Speaker 2:
[40:01] I mean, he's wiping away tears at points too. And they've had this full embrace. And then he sits down and then they're like funny, right? Because then they're like kind of giggling. And he goes, I knew you weren't going to make out with Jessie. And he like wipes her tears. And I'm like, oh my god, this is the opening to this flirtatious relationship. She's like, and I was pissed you said you didn't care. And I'm like, oh my god, it is all along. She really was like wanting him to say something about that. And then there's just like, he's like, what could I have done? She's like, I don't know. Stop it. Save me. And I was laughing like, oh my god, like the way that they have banter too is that they like talk shit jokingly, like on jet, like the normalcy that she, she wants to resume normalcy.
Speaker 1:
[40:44] No, but what is she saying? She says, can we be best friends? But what is that? I think that is the opening of like, I want to give this another go as a relationship level. And I'm so curious what's going to happen this next episode because Amanda is like, they're best friends real fast, like getting a little jelly.
Speaker 2:
[41:07] Also like hinting towards, that doesn't look like friendship, like the flirtation is will they, won't they?
Speaker 1:
[41:16] I cannot believe. So 18 months later, she has decided basically, I, whatever best friends means. To me, that means a relationship. I do. You always say you can't be best friends with a boy.
Speaker 2:
[41:31] Harry met Sally said that, okay? That's what they said. But I do think that it's hard to have a friendship with guys if you're either not in a committed relationship. There's just because you can cross the lines. Apparently you could be separated, also cross the lines. So it's like, the lines can be crossed at any point, but like, normally when we resume normalcy, it's like, don't cross the lines.
Speaker 1:
[41:51] So then basically I feel like filming stopped and they start hooking up.
Speaker 2:
[41:56] It's definitely something happened off camera where they were like, I don't want this to be a storyline now, even though it's going to be a storyline. The thing is, it doesn't fucking matter anymore because they're not, we know what's happened.
Speaker 1:
[42:10] But that's what makes this so much worse. Because she's like, I want to be friends with you, best friends. Whatever that means, we're not sure what that means.
Speaker 2:
[42:20] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[42:20] But, and then Amanda knows this and then she still goes for West. And West goes for Amanda because they're equally in the wrong.
Speaker 2:
[42:30] I think so too, but for some reason, it's like when you see Amanda comforting Ciara, trying to blend them, see West, tell him to apologize, really make this a family again and you see her doing all these things, that you're like, where did it change? At what point, when did he disarm and charm you? And then not to not talk about it, if we talk about after the night out, where Kyle is talking to Ben and he has that confessional where he says, I'm having the best weekend of my life and it's my wife not here, this is me realizing we are worse off than I thought.
Speaker 1:
[43:07] Because why does she not come?
Speaker 2:
[43:09] Why didn't she come?
Speaker 1:
[43:11] She literally is like, I just couldn't do it.
Speaker 2:
[43:12] What happened Thursday?
Speaker 1:
[43:13] I could not do it, I couldn't fake it, I needed alone time, I'm not gonna be around him this weekend, because something happened.
Speaker 2:
[43:19] Something happened? And I just thought, this is crazy. I also was like laughing too, because I was like, how messed up are they? Because Ben like leans his head on Kyle's shoulders, like, I don't think that about you, mate, and I don't want to fuck my mate's missus. West doesn't in six months though. So it's just kind of like, it's just all crazy. And then next week, we just pop back into it and we're setting up scenes for In the City. Danielle makes an appearance at Soft Bar and we're setting up a timeline and a storyline of what's going on with Danielle and Lindsay.
Speaker 1:
[43:52] Yeah.
Speaker 2:
[43:53] Another episode without Lindsay.
Speaker 1:
[43:55] I was okay with that.
Speaker 2:
[43:57] She's going to kill it in In the City and that's where she needs to be. It is just crazy because without knowing what we know now is the setup for next season where you sent the OGs off and the new era of Summer House, the new class would have killed.
Speaker 1:
[44:15] I mean, bravo. I am so curious the thought process of who's going where for next. This summer, which July 4th, you guys, like the contracts are going out, like June, they're going to be in contract. It's around the corner.
Speaker 2:
[44:28] It's literally tomorrow.
Speaker 1:
[44:29] And it's going to be based on the fans reaction to the reunion.
Speaker 2:
[44:34] Well, I think it's going to be that. And I think it's going to be along the lines of, and I think you mentioned this before, but it's going to be based on what Ciara wants. And we do know in the Glamour magazine that she was like, if they want to come back and I have to live with that, then I will.
Speaker 1:
[44:48] That was shocking, to be honest.
Speaker 2:
[44:49] But what I loved about that is that I kind of loved that she was like, you're not going to push me off this show. People think that that might be what I want, but hell no, I'm not going to let a man ruin my future.
Speaker 1:
[45:01] Totally.
Speaker 2:
[45:01] Totally. Anyways, I can't get enough of Summer House.
Speaker 1:
[45:06] This season's wild. This episode was insane.
Speaker 2:
[45:09] In real life is wild.
Speaker 1:
[45:11] They're going to be best friends, whatever that means.
Speaker 2:
[45:14] Well, it doesn't mean anything today. And if that's my best friend and this happens, I don't want any friends. I'd love to live a life of solitude.
Speaker 1:
[45:21] Well, Courtney, you know what? I want me and my best friend to go get a pina colada, have some french fries, go find a lazy river, hit up everything at Baha Mar. This was so fun. Can't wait to explore more of Baha Mar, and we'll be back soon.
Speaker 2:
[45:35] I agree. Thank you so much, Baha Mar, and thank you guys for listening. We'll see you next time.
Speaker 1:
[45:39] Bye.
