Speaker 1:
[00:00] Just don't call it a podcast.
Speaker 2:
[00:05] The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show.
Speaker 1:
[00:10] Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay. Ebro Laura Rosenberg.
Speaker 3:
[00:17] Good morning, good morning.
Speaker 1:
[00:18] Okay. Top of the week, man. Let's get it cracking. Lot going on. Laura's working on the rundown with Cardi B.
Speaker 3:
[00:26] Yes, yes.
Speaker 1:
[00:27] Ice Spice. Big Bronx in the rundown.
Speaker 3:
[00:30] You know it.
Speaker 1:
[00:31] Kanye still struggling to get concerts off the ground.
Speaker 3:
[00:34] Yep, we'll talk about all of that and more.
Speaker 1:
[00:36] And Rosenberg at WrestleMania.
Speaker 3:
[00:38] He is. He was looking good at WrestleMania.
Speaker 1:
[00:41] Did you watch?
Speaker 3:
[00:42] No.
Speaker 1:
[00:42] Exactly.
Speaker 4:
[00:43] I just watched Rosenberg's IG.
Speaker 1:
[00:47] Yo, and then bro, I was like, he was sending pictures and videos of things. I was like, who is this person in the cowboy hat? Who is this lady? I don't know these people. Oh, that was Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels.
Speaker 3:
[01:01] Wait, Producer Grip, who is the guy with all the makeup like a clown?
Speaker 1:
[01:04] The face paint.
Speaker 3:
[01:05] The face paint.
Speaker 1:
[01:07] You guys didn't set up your mic again, did you?
Speaker 3:
[01:10] Come on, we need that mic set up.
Speaker 1:
[01:12] The audience wanted to hear from y'all and see y'all, man. Look, it was a great weekend in the city. The weather was great until it wasn't great anymore.
Speaker 3:
[01:19] Yo, what a tease, right?
Speaker 1:
[01:20] Yeah, got you.
Speaker 3:
[01:21] So, yes, it got me. It got me because I was happy for a minute. I was like, wait, I need my jacket again.
Speaker 1:
[01:27] So I switched up my allergy formula this year.
Speaker 3:
[01:29] All right, you're not sniffling and sneezing?
Speaker 1:
[01:31] Yeah, I switched it up. I went flow nays, a pump of flow nays in the morning and at night, one in one, and then some eye drops. Have you heard of, I think it's pronounced routine?
Speaker 3:
[01:43] No.
Speaker 1:
[01:44] Routine. I mean, it's over-the-counter stuff, but it was like one drop a day.
Speaker 3:
[01:49] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[01:49] That's all. It's like, do not use more than one drop. I was like, oh, this is a serious issue.
Speaker 3:
[01:54] I wonder if I could use that if I wore contacts.
Speaker 1:
[01:56] Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 3:
[01:57] I'm going to look into that.
Speaker 1:
[01:57] But it's a one dropper.
Speaker 3:
[01:58] That's fire.
Speaker 1:
[01:59] And it's pretty good.
Speaker 4:
[02:00] You're very clear.
Speaker 1:
[02:01] No, no, no. Listen, I also haven't, I didn't get to get outside. Man, it's the worst. Man, I literally have to stop and collect myself when I realize that I'm not allowed to, well, not allowed, but not able to ride on Sundays because that's like my day. Yeah. And I did ride, shout to Jazz and Salasi and Issa, and they're great on Sundays. I get to get out and do my thing, but I put up miles in the house, but I like to get outside. Yesterday, the weather was like, it might rain, it might not. And our girl, if you tune in to Family Friday this week, I'm going to hold the video of Issa singing a solo in her play this weekend. Yeah, she had her school play this weekend. She was, they did the Addams Family.
Speaker 4:
[02:51] I know she's been rehearsing and everything.
Speaker 1:
[02:53] Yeah, no, she was doing her thing, she did her thing, she was great. And yeah, so she had a solo, so I could show it and not show other kids at the school.
Speaker 3:
[03:03] Right, right, right, because that's my biggest issue. Whenever I want to show stuff about Kenza, I'm like, I don't have kids in here. Right.
Speaker 1:
[03:10] Yeah, so we get to see Issa. And she was more titsy, so she had a dress on. She had heels on. She had makeup on.
Speaker 4:
[03:19] Yes, I can't wait to see this.
Speaker 1:
[03:21] Yeah, no, so we'll get to that for Family Friday this week. So hopefully, you tuned in all week. Because, you know, I would play it today, but then that ruins kind of the whole Friday tune in.
Speaker 3:
[03:31] Yeah, yeah, yeah, save it, save it, save it.
Speaker 1:
[03:34] We're scheduled to have Buju Bontown on the show this week.
Speaker 3:
[03:37] That's right.
Speaker 1:
[03:38] That's a big get.
Speaker 3:
[03:39] Yes.
Speaker 1:
[03:39] How's that come about?
Speaker 3:
[03:40] You know, they called us and said, hey, he would like to come on your show.
Speaker 1:
[03:44] He wants to pull up. So it goes. Gargamel on the program. Yeah. Artists want to come here, lose crazy after everything I said and how we're struggling to get guests, man. Tyrese, now Buju Bontown.
Speaker 3:
[03:59] Let me tell you that, Tyrese, the clips that we post, follow us, Ebro Laura Rosenberg on IG. My phone would not stop with the notifications of Tyrese.
Speaker 1:
[04:08] Oh, man.
Speaker 3:
[04:08] Everyone debating this and that and saying this. Everyone still has a lot to say about that verses.
Speaker 1:
[04:13] Now, listen, man, that verse is really moving around. But they're selling it though. Let's be clear. They are, because they're friends and because they, I think R&B artists like them who are not insecure about performing and about their skill set will poke fun and crack jokes. Like most artists who are kind of insecure or just super sensitive.
Speaker 3:
[04:39] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[04:40] They won't go back and forth.
Speaker 3:
[04:41] I even saw Tank in the comments teasing. It was just good. It was good. It was a good interview and it was fun.
Speaker 1:
[04:47] I want to shout out Joe Button and them. I think they're throwing Tyrese on their Patreon today.
Speaker 3:
[04:52] Oh, nice.
Speaker 1:
[04:52] I saw a clip of him sitting there, the kid Imani who's on Joe Button's podcast, who's an R&B singer too. So him and Tyrese was mixing it up. Because Tyrese was like, I don't even know you, bro. Like, what are you even talking about? But Imani was, who can absolutely sing, but just never got to the levels that Tyrese got to. And why would Tyrese know who he is? But similarly, Imani's a phenomenal singer. Or I mean, you know, relatively, Imani's a phenomenal singer. So he has something to say. But anyway, that's on the Joe Button pod. Now, speaking of Issa, let's pull up clip three. I just want to know, this kid Issa is something special. She was on this before everybody was on this. You got it, Rasan? Let me see. Let's see, let's see.
Speaker 5:
[05:46] A lot of it you didn't see there. We've heard about the Olympics. This is the undercurrent. This season, there's going to be a hundred universities that are accredited and sanctioned in flag football.
Speaker 6:
[05:58] In the United States of America.
Speaker 5:
[06:00] NCAA.
Speaker 6:
[06:01] They're going to compete.
Speaker 5:
[06:01] Scholarships. A hundred. Now, next year, they're going to add 200 more. So, in two years, there's going to be 300 colleges with flag football. And you do realize high school already has flag football.
Speaker 6:
[06:13] So, you're telling me in ten years' time from now, I'm going to be watching collegiate flag football on TV.
Speaker 5:
[06:18] Yes. Male and females. And the females have grown the industry faster. And that's why it's one of the fastest growing. It's not because of the men and the boys. It's for the women. Yes. Absolutely.
Speaker 1:
[06:30] Go ahead. Speaking of Issa, remember when she was up here talking about it? Yeah. She was like, I saw it trending. So, I was like, you know, I'll try.
Speaker 4:
[06:39] And she's killing it.
Speaker 1:
[06:40] Not only that, but now hopefully I won't have to pay for college.
Speaker 4:
[06:43] I know, right?
Speaker 1:
[06:44] That's why I was showing that. Y'all think I was like, I was like, nah, Issa's figuring out a way for us to not have to pay for college. Especially after we have been losing jobs.
Speaker 4:
[06:54] Yes.
Speaker 1:
[06:54] And can't get guests on the show.
Speaker 3:
[06:56] She's good and she loves it, which is the most important thing. She's going to go far and she's still excited about it. Because you know how kids sometimes they get into it and they're just like, all right, I'm over it.
Speaker 1:
[07:05] Yeah.
Speaker 3:
[07:06] She's locked in.
Speaker 1:
[07:07] No, the kid is really on it. And then this is after she had her school play. And in a couple of weeks, she has her Alvin Ailey end of the year performance.
Speaker 3:
[07:17] Okay.
Speaker 1:
[07:18] No, this kid is dying. Now, what happened in your world this weekend? You was getting busy with kids out here in these streets.
Speaker 3:
[07:23] Yes, family weekend. Let me see. That's it. We went out and had some, it was so funny because we went to this place called Brooklyn Crab. I don't know if you've ever been there.
Speaker 1:
[07:33] Brooklyn Crab, yes, I have.
Speaker 3:
[07:33] It's a crab place. It's outdoors.
Speaker 1:
[07:36] I want to say it's down-
Speaker 3:
[07:37] Red Hook.
Speaker 1:
[07:38] Red Hook, yeah.
Speaker 4:
[07:38] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:
[07:40] So Kenza was-
Speaker 1:
[07:40] They have the, what is that, corn hole out back.
Speaker 3:
[07:43] Yes, all that good stuff. So we hit that spot and Kenza was so like, mommy, but explain to me, because she had seen crab, but we've never really had crab legs with her.
Speaker 4:
[07:55] Because I started thinking, I was like, I've never really had crab legs with her. She was so weirded out by it. She was like, it's like a big spider.
Speaker 3:
[08:04] I was like, yeah, but you can eat this one. She was like, so can you eat spiders? I was like, no, I mean. She was just trying to figure out why we're eating all these claws.
Speaker 1:
[08:13] The way they serve it to you in that big bucket with the legs coming out of the top.
Speaker 4:
[08:18] Yes. I recorded like a whole lobster. So you know, I look kind of for a kid, it might look crazy.
Speaker 1:
[08:23] Well, you should have told her those are sea cockroach.
Speaker 4:
[08:25] Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 1:
[08:26] They're in the cockroach family.
Speaker 4:
[08:27] I don't want to tell her they were sea cockroaches.
Speaker 1:
[08:29] Yeah.
Speaker 3:
[08:29] I mean, even though kind of, sort of. No, but it was fun. We had a good time.
Speaker 1:
[08:33] There was a time, I saw a thing on Caviar this weekend.
Speaker 3:
[08:37] I can't, Ebro, I can't.
Speaker 1:
[08:38] Where they were cutting open the sturgeon and pulling it. They were like, you know you're just eating babies, right? You're just eating straight babies out. Even when you get sushi and they put fish eggs on top, you eat babies.
Speaker 3:
[08:49] Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:
[08:52] There was a time when these things were not seen as a delicacy.
Speaker 3:
[08:57] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[08:58] Lobster and crab was like what they gave to prisoners and poor people because there was such abundance of it, it wasn't special.
Speaker 3:
[09:04] Right, right, right.
Speaker 1:
[09:05] Then somewhere along the lines, it flipped.
Speaker 3:
[09:08] It worked.
Speaker 1:
[09:09] Yeah, because they were probably like, wait a minute. I got to go in the ocean and get this stuff? Yeah. This is hard work. Not only that, but we could trick people into paying extra money. Somebody finessed it. The marketing game was good. Speaking of the marketing game, NASA. That's right. Big marketing going on right now around this Artemis 2. Griff, were we able to get the astronaut? We reached out. That's all we got. No, nobody hit back. Damn. Okay. A couple of weeks ago, we couldn't get artists. Now, we can't get astronauts. Look at this. Terrible show. This show is falling apart. Is he doing it? He's probably recovering, right? He's probably not even doing. I haven't seen him do a lot of talking.
Speaker 3:
[09:47] I saw whoever the woman was, I saw a clip of her doing physical therapy, Ebro, because remember, they were up with-
Speaker 1:
[09:55] Yeah, the atrophy, right?
Speaker 3:
[09:56] Yes, the gravity trying to figure it out, and she was literally just trying to walk on her own. So I think they have to go through whatever their version of physical therapy is.
Speaker 1:
[10:06] How many astronauts did we request? We just went for that one. We went for the black guy. Of course we did. But maybe we should get the young lady also.
Speaker 3:
[10:14] I know. It was dope. It was interesting to see her walking and trying to figure it out. She was all wobbly and they were like, step by step.
Speaker 4:
[10:23] Remember this?
Speaker 3:
[10:24] Remember that?
Speaker 4:
[10:24] It was cool.
Speaker 3:
[10:25] If I find out, I'll send it to you. But it's very interesting.
Speaker 1:
[10:27] And what about Neil deGrasse Tyson? He's right in the street. Can we get him?
Speaker 6:
[10:32] We won't have him back the other way.
Speaker 1:
[10:33] Yeah. We need him now. Now that we're going around the moon and the back of the moon and stuff. He's sitting up here arguing with Jake Paul and one of these Paul brothers about believing whether or not we went to the moon. I don't know if you're watching this Laura and in your house, is your partner a believer in this Artemis II going around the back of the moon in these photos?
Speaker 3:
[10:53] We haven't spoken.
Speaker 1:
[10:54] You haven't talked about it?
Speaker 3:
[10:55] No, we haven't talked about it. But I know I sent it to Cas1.
Speaker 1:
[10:58] And what did Cas1 say?
Speaker 3:
[10:59] He just went, uh-huh.
Speaker 4:
[11:02] That was his answer.
Speaker 3:
[11:04] Uh-huh.
Speaker 1:
[11:05] This is the first time, what you're going to see here posted by Complex, it's first time any human being or human beings, all of us simultaneously, have seen the setting of the earth from behind the moon. That looks like a school project. That doesn't look like a school project to you?
Speaker 7:
[11:43] Yes, but it's still so cool.
Speaker 1:
[11:50] There it is.
Speaker 3:
[11:51] Man, that's so dope. Dude. Yo, if you had a chance to do it, like one of those, you know, the touristy joints that they do, would you do it?
Speaker 1:
[12:01] I'ma wait a few years. I need a few y'all to go on up there, let me know what's going on first. I'ma chill. I don't need to be first. That's a shot on iPhone? Shout to the squad at Apple, you know what I'm saying? Tough. Now, I'm a believer. I'm not one of these people that's like, you know, it ain't real or it's not happening. I'm not one of these people. Me too, me too. I'm the person that's like, they saying it really happened. I'd go along with it. Why not? Then if we find out one day they was lying, they was lying. But for now, why not? I'm into it.
Speaker 3:
[12:41] Yeah, me too. I believe it. There's people who are brilliant, brilliant human beings that have made this happen before.
Speaker 1:
[12:49] I'm going to tell you who I don't believe. Instagram comments. You guys have not done the work, zero classes, no math. You can't explain nothing other than sending out a link to a YouTube video of someone else who can't explain nothing.
Speaker 3:
[13:06] Randall would have voiceover and like, please.
Speaker 1:
[13:10] Also, I think our cons, listen, man, we have limitations as human beings, right? Those of us who haven't done the work. When you're talking about hundreds of thousands of miles away, your brain can't even process that, bro. You don't know what that is.
Speaker 3:
[13:27] No.
Speaker 1:
[13:28] In theory, you can say, but no. You've never seen that. You've never traveled that.
Speaker 3:
[13:37] It's incredible. It's pretty incredible. I'm fascinated by it.
Speaker 1:
[13:41] No, you've been to the moon.
Speaker 3:
[13:42] I mean, I've been to US space camp.
Speaker 1:
[13:46] Laura Stylez has been out of space in Alabama at space camp.
Speaker 3:
[13:51] For the chat, when I was in sixth grade, I won a competition and I got to go to US space camp in Huntsville, Alabama.
Speaker 4:
[13:58] Here's my dad. We did it for a week. It was really cool.
Speaker 1:
[14:03] So what did you see?
Speaker 3:
[14:04] I just remember there was simulators. So you got to be in all these really cool simulators. We had to wear the onesie.
Speaker 1:
[14:10] You have photos.
Speaker 3:
[14:11] Yeah. I have to dig. I have to dig. I have to ask my mom if she has some photos, but I'm sure she has some. You got to try all the freeze dried fruits. Your wife did it too?
Speaker 1:
[14:21] Dawn with Outer Space. Oh, man, Dawn, you've been Outer Space.
Speaker 3:
[14:26] Yeah. I got to look it up. I'm sure it's still US Space Camp is still a thing. I hope. It's still a thing, right?
Speaker 1:
[14:31] Huntsville, Alabama.
Speaker 3:
[14:33] Yes. It was my first time going to another state.
Speaker 4:
[14:35] I remember.
Speaker 1:
[14:36] I remember being in school and that brochure going around and you had to win some competition. I didn't win.
Speaker 4:
[14:43] I was a kid who won.
Speaker 1:
[14:45] I wasn't as cool as Laura. Where's the? Here we go.
Speaker 2:
[14:49] That's so cool.
Speaker 1:
[14:51] Yeah. Yeah. No, I didn't make it. I didn't make the cut. It wasn't sending me to outer space at all. In our latest update, as we start the day on this Monday, we're here. I heard this AM that the stock market is not so healthy today. It's not starting off good. Maybe it'll end good. These things fluctuate. But obviously, it's the news that the Strait of Hormuz is once again shut down because Iran is like, yo, y'all don't tell us what to do basically. And you guys trying to escort ships through here is not going to happen. I read somewhere, look this up for me, Griff. I read somewhere that two tankers from India got hit over the last couple of days, trying to slide through the Strait of Hormuz. Also, the EU, which gets 40% of its rocket fuel from through that Strait is scrambling because they're running, they don't want to run out of rocket fuel.
Speaker 3:
[15:58] Wow, yes, makes sense.
Speaker 1:
[16:00] For planes and whatever you use rocket fuel for. But the most interesting piece is over the weekend, it started circulating. Yes, you sent me the text. Over the weekend, it started circulating that Trump was working on a deal with Iran. And I saw this multiple places, but I thought this guy right here was the most entertaining. He was actually on our show before, Isaiah Martin. He was running for, I think, a Democratic seat in Congress in Texas. I think he lost. However, still entertaining, talking about what Trump is allegedly negotiating with Iran right now.
Speaker 8:
[16:46] News of the day is that Trump is about to unfreeze $20 billion of Iranian assets in exchange for their stockpile of enriched uranium. Now, that sounds interesting to you. It's because that is more than 10 times the amount of money that Barack Obama unfroze to the Iranians with his deal. A deal that effectively brought their stockpiles to zero. So what you have here is the Iranians about to get 10 times the amount of money than the deal we literally were in before Trump ripped it up. Let's go a little bit deeper here. To get this fleece of a deal, we had to spend $2 billion a day of your money. Your money, the money that you just went and paid to the government for Tax Day, that was spent for the Iranians to get more money. American service members lost their lives, people in general lost their lives, all for this deal. Again, there's only one person who can really explain just how much money Trump is about to give to the Iranians.
Speaker 9:
[17:55] Cash, green, green cash, took it out of banks from Virginia, DC and Maryland. All the cash they had, flew it by airplanes in an attempt to buy their respect and loyalty, but it didn't work. They laughed at our president.
Speaker 8:
[18:10] You got one thing right. They're legit laughing at this man because they fleeced them out of more money than they ever could have imagined. Generations of kids are going to be reading about this in their history books one day What happens when America elects stupid people in office?
Speaker 3:
[18:25] It depends what version of history books we have.
Speaker 1:
[18:27] Congratulations. You played yourself. That part. How many days have we been doing this Iran thing? They've just in the negotiations decided, according to the news reports that Grip pulled up, Iran reversed its decision to reopen the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, firing on tankers attempting to pass through the waterway. A second Indian vessel was also forced to turn back after being hit. Wow. So everybody on the right was talking trash about Obama's deal with Iran. You see the details there on the alleged deal that's supposed to be worked on with Trump. Iran is not backing off until Israel stops. That's their main thing. And Israel is saying they're not stopping. So our president, our nation gets the- Congratulations, you played yourself. Again, for allowing Israel to get us dragged into this situation and think we had a play here.
Speaker 3:
[19:34] Bro, and just wait, wait, all the mental gymnastics, all the way they're going to twist their words to try to justify this. Just wait.
Speaker 1:
[19:43] Now, there'll be a lot of marketing rolled out, Laura. There's always a lot of marketing. There's always a lot of spinning, always a lot of marketing, always a lot of, you know, like you said, verbal gymnastics.
Speaker 3:
[19:58] I saw this clip today, our friend, DeafKnotAnt.
Speaker 10:
[20:02] Yes.
Speaker 3:
[20:03] Follow him on Instagram and all his stuff. He's really great. And he was breaking down all these AI deep fakes that they're using to try to push, like the Republican Party in a great, you know, in a great light. Watch this.
Speaker 10:
[20:16] This is AI.
Speaker 6:
[20:17] So I say.
Speaker 10:
[20:19] So is this.
Speaker 11:
[20:20] The left say Republicans aren't united.
Speaker 10:
[20:22] So is this. This. You catch my drift. Leading up to the midterm elections, there have been hundreds, if not thousands, of fake AI accounts, and they're all saying the same thing.
Speaker 3:
[20:35] The left say Republicans aren't united. That's funny. Because I can get a Trump supporter from every state to comment.
Speaker 10:
[20:42] And to the untrained eye, people are getting tricked into thinking these are real people. They're conventionally attractive, they're charismatic, they're being created at such a fast pace that they even seem reliable. And they speak directly into the camera, just like I'm doing right now. This is about scale. Experts call it flooding the zone. Instead of convincing you of one strong argument, they hit you with thousands of people saying the exact same thing. And they all look different enough that it seems like it's organic. So the next time you're scrolling and you see someone speaking with passion, conviction and clarity, ask yourself one question, are they real?
Speaker 1:
[21:19] Well done at the end with the little, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3:
[21:22] Wow. I mean, we knew stuff like this was going to happen, especially when they took over TikTok.
Speaker 1:
[21:29] What is real?
Speaker 3:
[21:32] Yo, and the average person, if you're not locked in, you'll believe it.
Speaker 1:
[21:36] That's right.
Speaker 3:
[21:37] They look so real. They look so real. They're like, yeah, these are real people. It's scary out here, bro.
Speaker 1:
[21:44] Well, you know what usually tells me something ain't real? When the people look too good. I'll be like, it ain't this many good looking people out here. Yo, I've been alive too long. All these good looking people, I ain't buying it. Or at least you got a filter on, I had plastic surgery or something.
Speaker 3:
[21:59] I mean, people use filters on the regular. It's like you, it's very hard to tell now.
Speaker 1:
[22:05] Well, no, here's the other part. Usually good looking people is stupid because they've been good looking their whole life. Your ass ain't that many smart, good looking people.
Speaker 3:
[22:17] Lord.
Speaker 1:
[22:19] Yo, what's going on in the super chat? I don't have it open. Send me something. Who's in there today?
Speaker 3:
[22:25] I will check in. But Eva, did you see this Caitlyn Jenner story? So Caitlyn Jenner got her passport renewed, and he came back with the sex as a male.
Speaker 1:
[22:36] I saw her complaining about it.
Speaker 3:
[22:38] Yes. So she goes and she's pleading and asking President Trump to be able to change it for her, but her only.
Speaker 1:
[22:47] Yeah, of course.
Speaker 3:
[22:49] Yeah, what I hate.
Speaker 5:
[22:49] Congratulations.
Speaker 1:
[22:50] You played yourself. You think Caitlyn Jenner is concerned about other trans people? Congratulations. You played yourself.
Speaker 5:
[22:58] Congratulations.
Speaker 1:
[23:00] You played yourself.
Speaker 3:
[23:00] I wonder if he's going to do it for her.
Speaker 1:
[23:02] If she was, she wouldn't have voted for Donald Trump and this whole current establishment of government.
Speaker 3:
[23:08] No, she loves him. That's her man. That's her guy. I'm curious to see if he's going to do it for her or not.
Speaker 1:
[23:14] Well, basically, she's got Mar-a-Lago face too, she fits in though.
Speaker 3:
[23:17] I mean, yes, yeah.
Speaker 1:
[23:18] She definitely fits in.
Speaker 3:
[23:19] She's pretty good.
Speaker 4:
[23:20] She's pretty good.
Speaker 1:
[23:23] Can you bring up clip four for me, Rosanne, over the weekend? Speaking of narratives, you know, our guy academics who loves to promote our show so much. The Drake Machine has started getting ready for this Iceman album. I'm super excited. Aren't you excited, Laura?
Speaker 3:
[23:41] I'm looking forward to it. I want to see. I want to see what he comes with. I am.
Speaker 1:
[23:45] Yeah. Why wouldn't people be excited about a Drake album?
Speaker 3:
[23:47] People took a clip of us saying that we're excited.
Speaker 4:
[23:50] They're like, look at him, hypocrites.
Speaker 1:
[23:52] But I don't want to... Can somebody explain that to me?
Speaker 4:
[23:54] Because you called him a disease.
Speaker 3:
[23:56] You hate his guts.
Speaker 1:
[23:57] No, no, no. His brand and his fans, based on their behavior, we cannot have a conversation about hip hop without these people deploying whatever tactics they use on the Internet. To get their panties in a bunch.
Speaker 3:
[24:16] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[24:17] Y'all are telling me that's healthy for hip hop? Yes. Y'all are telling... Y'all... Everybody out here... Y'all feel like whenever we have a critique or a convo about this particular artist, the way everybody gets upset in the comments and attacks people, y'all feel like that's healthy.
Speaker 3:
[24:36] That's their norm now.
Speaker 1:
[24:38] But I'm asking a question. Do you feel like that's healthy and good for us?
Speaker 3:
[24:44] I mean, no.
Speaker 1:
[24:45] Okay. So when I said that, I was really... Like I've said multiple times, I was really referring to the fan base more than him. I was really talking about the brand itself and not him personally. I'm a fan of him personally. On music, I think he's great. I've always loved it. So I don't even know why that's controversial. I really don't understand why that's controversial.
Speaker 12:
[25:11] You're the poster for people who hate Drake.
Speaker 4:
[25:14] Yes.
Speaker 1:
[25:15] But that's because once again, as we were talking about narratives and marketing, that was the marketing because they needed a bad guy.
Speaker 3:
[25:23] Oh, God, Ebro.
Speaker 1:
[25:24] That was, which I'm fine being that guy, being, you know, which is cool with me. But before the battle, was I that guy?
Speaker 4:
[25:34] Before the battle.
Speaker 1:
[25:36] Before the battle, was I the poster boy for Drake Hate? No.
Speaker 3:
[25:40] No, right?
Speaker 1:
[25:41] So all because of the battle, I became the poster boy of Drake Hate?
Speaker 3:
[25:46] A little before, remember the DNA? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Actually, no, no, no, we're incorrect because remember, he didn't like you because of the childish Gambino situation.
Speaker 1:
[25:55] With the childish Gambino situation, I was being honest.
Speaker 3:
[25:59] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[25:59] You were coming at, this is America and saying the record was overrated and this and that and the third, but it was a record that a lot of us cared for because it came out at a time where we were feeling some type of way about what was going on with police brutality in this nation and about the lack of accountability of police. And so once again, I was vocal because it's like, yo, Drake, we love you. We don't expect this type of hip hop from you. Like if you want to make it fine, if you have something to say about what's going on in society and whatever in your music, but if you don't, that's fine too.
Speaker 3:
[26:42] You're a little bit more aggressive than that.
Speaker 1:
[26:44] Yeah, I was like, well, yeah, of course, because why are you talking?
Speaker 3:
[26:50] Yeah, your whole thing was, he has never said anything about black Americans. He hasn't. I believe. I believe you said something along those lines.
Speaker 1:
[26:58] He's never had anything to say about what black Americans are going through.
Speaker 3:
[27:02] So yeah. All right, what clip do you want to play?
Speaker 1:
[27:05] This is the academics clip.
Speaker 3:
[27:06] Oh, what did I ask?
Speaker 9:
[27:08] Drake, Iceman.
Speaker 10:
[27:09] It is happening based on my exclusive source.
Speaker 11:
[27:13] Iceman will be dropping in the next 36 hours.
Speaker 10:
[27:16] Keep an eye out. Keep an ear out.
Speaker 13:
[27:18] Iceman in 36 hours.
Speaker 11:
[27:21] You're welcome.
Speaker 2:
[27:22] Now, we said this, like over a day ago, 36 hours is up, buddy. I'm here to tell you, Fantano is a loser and never write about anything, even reviews. You know, me and Drake, we don't even talk too much about the album because I want to be here as a fan. This is a fan experience of mine this time. But what we do have a good laugh at is the haters going through what we call Drake Derangement Syndrome. Yes, if it wasn't already abundantly clear that these guys have no reputation, no spine, they will hate for two years. And as soon as their pocket starts to get a little bit dry, their rent gets a little bit too high, they will start. On a bash, like they don't give a f***, they will just flip flop, they'll fold up like a lawn chair in a god damn wallet. They don't care, they have no type of spine. They go from saying Drake is a cancer to now saying they need Drake. Who would ever say they need a cancer? I don't know. But these guys, I'll tell you what me and Drake, we do get a kind of a kick off. Just watching how desperate these guys are. From the Ebros to the Rosen Dweebs, to Rosen Dweebs said, hey, I want you to come on my show. Brother, we wouldn't even spit on you even if you're on fire. Guy said, come on his show. We got to really explain to you. Good job, buddy.
Speaker 1:
[28:54] Oh God. I don't know if anybody on this show said we needed Drake. I don't know if we're going that far, but I like him and I like him a lot and I like his music. So for you academics, I appreciate the promo. For Drake, listen man, come with this album. Let's hear it. People are very excited. You're one of the biggest artists in the game. You lost the battle. It's not a big deal. It's over. On to the next.
Speaker 3:
[29:26] Yeah, because I'm curious. I'm curious to see what he comes with. I always said this after the battle. All he needs to do is come back with a back.
Speaker 1:
[29:34] Everybody said that. And he did, by the way. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nokia, Sexy Songs For You, had a couple of joints on it. I think it was good. I think, I think we, and academics really tapped into it right there. The level of sickness that I was referring to. Where there are these like, what are you standing on exactly, academics? When you say like, flip-flopping, we're just fans of music, bro. We're fans of the culture. We're fans of hip-hop. What exactly are you standing on or standing for when you say you're on Drake's side, if there's a side to pick? What is that? What is that? What is the side? No, but I'm saying, what is it? What's the platform? What do you guys stand for? What is the thing?
Speaker 3:
[30:31] Everybody took a side though.
Speaker 1:
[30:32] No, because it was a battle. And it was a competition. So in a competition, that's what happens. People will go, oh, this guy's winning. Look, in that competition with Drake and Kendrick, Drake was up until Kendrick started unleashing. And nobody, and people were sitting around when pushups was out and we want to relitigate the whole thing. We was like, yo, Kendrick. It wasn't until Drake made mistakes with the AI and antagonizing Kendrick, oh, you in the hotel room dropping quintuple entendres and staring at my picture on the wall, whatever the little ad-libs were. It wasn't until then that everybody's like, OK, if that's what you want to do. And then Kendrick started unleashing. And we were watching it happen. So I ask of you, if you can articulate the side that there is in this thing of hip hop, what are the sides? I would love to learn.
Speaker 3:
[31:39] Yeah. I mean, listen, he has hardcore fans who are like, no matter what, this is our guy.
Speaker 1:
[31:44] Right. That's the problem.
Speaker 3:
[31:46] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[31:47] That is why I talked about it being a sickness, is because in hip hop, you love all of it.
Speaker 3:
[31:52] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[31:52] But you could critique it all.
Speaker 3:
[31:53] He's not the only one.
Speaker 1:
[31:55] You can dislikes. It's not about him per se, but he's the biggest. He's the biggest. What other fans in hip hop are only fans of that one particular artist, that are real hip hop fans? I would love to learn.
Speaker 3:
[32:13] Yeah. The hardcore fan culture is such an interesting thing, where at least people just adapt the whole identity of that.
Speaker 1:
[32:21] Those are, and I'll be honest, those are pop music fans.
Speaker 3:
[32:26] But-
Speaker 1:
[32:27] Give me a fan.
Speaker 3:
[32:29] Nicky's fans?
Speaker 1:
[32:30] Pop music fans. Those fans are pop music fans. Hip hop fans like a plethora of hip hop, and are fans of whatever is dope.
Speaker 3:
[32:43] People are going to call you, you're just a purest. You don't get it.
Speaker 12:
[32:47] Okay.
Speaker 1:
[32:47] That's fine.
Speaker 3:
[32:48] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[32:48] I'll be that. I'll be that.
Speaker 12:
[32:49] That's fine.
Speaker 1:
[32:50] But I would love to learn. If you claim to be a hip hop fan, and you're only a fan of one particular artist, or even take it a step further, one particular style, are you really a hip hop fan?
Speaker 3:
[33:09] I'm checking our super chat. At Sasha42082, she said, I'm on Ebro side. Let me see. CellX23, Chardis Gambinos, This Is America, and Residentes, This Is Not America. We're both amazing tracks. These songs are what real hip hop is about. Nada slash 53, checking in live from the Boston Marathon. Oh my God.
Speaker 1:
[33:32] Yeah, that kicks off. Shout out to Boston. It just started right now.
Speaker 3:
[33:36] Yep.
Speaker 1:
[33:36] Wait, why are they running a marathon on a Monday, bro?
Speaker 10:
[33:39] It's Patriots Day.
Speaker 1:
[33:40] What is it? It's called Patriots Day. Okay. Jersey City Marathon was yesterday. Red Sox played at 11 a.m. And the Red Sox played at 11.
Speaker 3:
[33:48] Okay. Shout out to everybody at the Boston Marathon. Also, JW4789 is just saying hello. DJ Tate-tastic, close the chat, smash that like. Best hack for the eyes. Dry itch irritation is a warm compress than a gentle slow rub. It's life-saving. Thank you.
Speaker 1:
[34:05] A warm compress. That's good.
Speaker 3:
[34:07] And Tristan Straker, 183. Good morning, everyone. Hope you have a good week. Happy birthday to my daughter, Samaya. She turned 17 today.
Speaker 1:
[34:16] Happy birthday, Samaya.
Speaker 3:
[34:17] Happy birthday to y'all.
Speaker 1:
[34:19] Yo.
Speaker 3:
[34:19] Thanks everybody for checking in.

Speaker 3:
[36:28] Ooh, our girl Cardi B was very upset. All right, she was closing out her tour, and she's accusing the staff in Atlanta of being extremely rude. Look at this video of her spazzing out.
Speaker 7:
[36:44] Your own life, right here, because you and your employees are being disrespectful. Why I'm not gonna perform today? Cause you're being, go get your balls, like you said. Go get them. I'm not performing today. Let me tell you why, because we got in here, your employees are being f**king rude for no reason. Being rude for no reason. Pointing fingers for no reason. Touching people for no reason. And then they're telling me, oh we gotta talk to this, because I feel certain type of way, cause you're being disrespectful. I did 35 shows and I never had a problem. And we've been kind to everybody. So, no, now I'm leaving. No, now I'm leaving.
Speaker 3:
[37:27] I love Cardi. So, she went on on Twitter and said, look, when you hold power and authority, use it with kindness and respect. Never abuse it, because not everyone will endure your arrogance and silence. Treat others exactly how you demand to be treated. Atlanta, I'll see you soon. And she ended up performing, so I'm assuming they apologize to her. And she closed out the tour. She brought Missy out.
Speaker 1:
[37:47] That is a great... Read that quote again about power, Laura Stylez.
Speaker 3:
[37:51] All right, she wrote, When you hold power and authority, use it with kindness and respect. Never abuse it, because not everyone will endure your arrogance and silence. Treat others exactly like you demand to be treated.
Speaker 1:
[38:06] If only America would listen to Cardi B. If only Israel would listen to Cardi B. I mean, we could fix a lot of things out here. Yeah. What else you got to me?
Speaker 3:
[38:17] I did love though, wait, let's take a moment. It was really dope when she brought up Missy Elliott.
Speaker 1:
[38:22] I didn't peep that.
Speaker 3:
[38:23] She was yelling, Oh, Janice here.
Speaker 4:
[38:26] I just love how hype she gets for her guests.
Speaker 1:
[38:28] Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 3:
[38:29] Yeah, she brought Missy Elliott and Missy looked fantastic.
Speaker 1:
[38:31] Missy is on it right now. Missy got that new record with Kehlani too. That's incredible too. So fire. Maybe we're going to see Missy pop out with an album or some projects this year. I didn't ask Mona Scott when she was up here with Tyrese the other day.
Speaker 4:
[38:43] Wow.
Speaker 1:
[38:44] Let's get my, yo, hit Mona Scott, see if she'll come on the show and confirm some Missy Elliot news.
Speaker 4:
[38:51] All right.
Speaker 3:
[38:51] Another thing that was, wow, going crazy online. Did you guys see Ice Spice getting into that fight at McDonald's? Well, here it is. That's Ice Spice in the playbook. She's the one in gray. Oh, that's not what you want.
Speaker 1:
[40:01] Listen, it's not, but sometimes it is.
Speaker 3:
[40:08] Can I tell you, that girl is so stupid, she goes on social media to try to justify her going up to Ice Spice and just saying that she called her a bitch or whatever.
Speaker 1:
[40:17] Where Ice Spice called her a bitch.
Speaker 3:
[40:19] Yes. I'm like, honey, you just went on social media to incriminate yourself.
Speaker 4:
[40:24] Now, she knows who you are and you're basically admitting to it. So now, she could press all the charges.
Speaker 1:
[40:30] Well, yeah, you attacked her first.
Speaker 3:
[40:31] Yes.
Speaker 11:
[40:32] It's on video.
Speaker 1:
[40:34] I guess that's the thing too, when you are a notable individual like Ice Spice and somebody makes a move on you, now I'm protecting myself.
Speaker 3:
[40:42] Of course, you have to.
Speaker 1:
[40:44] Dude ran down on me this weekend. What? Yeah, man. I'm sitting in the car waiting for Issa and he comes over, and he's like, nah, you owe it to hip-hop. I was like, what? Excuse me? He's like, nah, now, now, cats is questioning you, now that you're not at Hot 97 anymore, cats is questioning you. You know what I'm saying? You owe hip-hop an explanation. I was like, who is questioning me? What are you talking about? And so I get to stand up out of my car and he starts to like, you know, move back because I felt like he was being aggressive. And I was like, think about who's questioning me. He was like, no, you're right, you're right. But I think he's a, and then I started, I said, no, wait, let's talk about this. Because, you know, I really wanted to know where he's feeling this information from, like, what is he watching? What algorithm feed is he in? Where it's like, you know, this real, well, you told me last week it's really some blame Ebro-ish going on.
Speaker 3:
[41:51] I mean, I just took it back.
Speaker 1:
[41:53] Lou is like, shaking his head, yeah. But who are these individuals?
Speaker 2:
[41:59] Lovers of hip-hop within the last 10 years, it feels like you single-handedly killed New York hip-hop.
Speaker 1:
[42:07] So they still believe 50 Cent and they just saw what happened with 50 Cent in this battle when he could have contributed to hip-hop and decided not to. Because he didn't want to put out, he only wanted to put out a record that was an intro for his show.
Speaker 3:
[42:19] Yeah. Somebody said to me like, oh yes, 50 hates you. I was like, well, if he did, he has a funny way of showing it because he keeps coming on our show.
Speaker 1:
[42:29] As a matter of fact, we've been chatting. Listen, what it does confirm though is people are very passionate and they give a damn. That it confirms that. But yet, people will try to run down on you, so you got to stay ready, Ice Spice. It looks like she was with the shits though. Excuse my language.
Speaker 3:
[42:51] She was just with her homegirl, just eating a little cheeseburger and then she just came.
Speaker 1:
[42:57] So Ice Spice just sits in a Hollywood McDonald's without security?
Speaker 3:
[43:01] That surprised me too.
Speaker 1:
[43:02] I think she had security then.
Speaker 3:
[43:04] I know, Ibra. I don't think so because if she had security, they would have ran out at some point.
Speaker 1:
[43:08] Well, that's also what made me feel like this might be promo too. Y'all know I be looking for promo. Ice Spice needs promo right now.
Speaker 7:
[43:17] I don't know.
Speaker 1:
[43:18] Ice Spice doesn't need promo right now?
Speaker 7:
[43:20] No, no, no.
Speaker 3:
[43:20] I'm just trying to think of that.
Speaker 7:
[43:22] Would that be promo?
Speaker 1:
[43:25] What actually happened right there?
Speaker 3:
[43:27] Humber went up to her.
Speaker 1:
[43:28] She tried to swing.
Speaker 4:
[43:30] And slapped her.
Speaker 1:
[43:31] She got her. She swiped her. Yeah.
Speaker 4:
[43:35] I don't know.
Speaker 1:
[43:36] I feel like it was wrestling.
Speaker 3:
[43:38] I feel like these are just one of these crazy things.
Speaker 1:
[43:40] And it was a lot of chatting. If it was just a crazy friend, she was like, it was a lot of chatting and Ice Spice is going to be like, yeah, let's fight. Y'all believe in that?
Speaker 4:
[43:48] Homegirl slapped her first, bro.
Speaker 1:
[43:49] Yeah, but I'm telling you, bro. I'm not buying it.
Speaker 3:
[43:53] All right. I don't think so.
Speaker 1:
[43:55] I'm not buying it. All right.
Speaker 3:
[43:56] In other news, Kanye has more drama. Now, Switzerland, specifically the soccer club FC Basel is the latest to pull the plug on Kanye's performance. Now, they're saying they canceled his June show over the weekend. And they claim, you know, they considered it. However, after thought and review, they have decided not to proceed with the project and cannot in accordance because of their values, provide a platform for the artist in question within context. They were saying that his Poland show was also canceled too.
Speaker 1:
[44:29] Well, you know, Poland doesn't really have a history of like a Nazis. What the Nazis did to Poland. Y'all know that most of the killings of Jews and things like that, people think Germany. It was actually happening in Poland. Yeah, Auschwitz is in Poland.
Speaker 3:
[44:45] Yeah, that's right. That's right. That's right.
Speaker 1:
[44:47] So the Nazi thing is a sensitive topic out there, Yeh.
Speaker 3:
[44:51] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[44:51] Now, are you liking how this is happening to Yeh?
Speaker 3:
[44:58] It's not about me liking it. I understand. Because, you know, everyone's like, oh, freedom of speech, he's proving everyone right. Guys, freedom of speech is not freedom of consequences. And he did, you kind of did some crazy-ish. Like the things that he was saying is beyond, he wasn't just one thing. It wasn't just like a salute. He made a damn song phrasing Hitler.
Speaker 1:
[45:23] Yeah, the song called How Hitler.
Speaker 3:
[45:25] Yes. And not only, like I told you guys, it's not even on the anti-Semitic part, but.
Speaker 1:
[45:29] My mother-in-law said that to me last night. She was like, yo, so what do you think about these Kanye shows getting canceled? I was like, well, that's what happens when you make songs called How Hitler and like wear KKK suits and act like, you know, the swastika is just something you could just throw around, play with and hang out with, you know, known white supremacists. She was like, wait, what? He did what? She was like, oh, because people didn't get all of those headlines, they're getting these headlines, and or people have short-term memory. And you know that from the business I work. I mean, hell, we have short-term.
Speaker 3:
[46:02] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[46:03] Right. Where you people forget things. And yeah, not a not given guy.
Speaker 3:
[46:07] That's why I just it's not that I like it, but I understand. I get it.
Speaker 1:
[46:12] Yeah.
Speaker 3:
[46:12] Will he recover from this? I think he will. I think he will eventually. And look, he has put out statements saying, hey, listen, I understand that people don't accept my apology right away. I'm committed to doing the work.
Speaker 1:
[46:23] So I think that's the big I think I wish that was louder. Yeah. On Kanye's behalf.
Speaker 3:
[46:27] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[46:28] Because I do believe that that's the real test, right?
Speaker 3:
[46:32] That's the only thing he has left.
Speaker 1:
[46:35] That's it. Well, no, meaning how he handles it. Yes.
Speaker 3:
[46:38] Yeah, that's what I mean.
Speaker 1:
[46:39] His real rehabilitation of his image is all based on how he handles it.
Speaker 3:
[46:44] Yeah. You know what I find?
Speaker 1:
[46:47] And over a long period of time. Correct. It's not like when you abuse people, verbally, physically, otherwise, that it's like one apology just sets things right.
Speaker 3:
[47:01] Yeah. I find it interesting when he meets with like, well, he met with one rabbi. I'm like, who is this rabbi? Is he like the rabbi of all rabbis?
Speaker 1:
[47:10] There was so much. That particular rabbi is-
Speaker 3:
[47:16] It was very confusing.
Speaker 1:
[47:17] Very seedy to say the least. I don't have all the facts on him, but I know a lot of people were like, that dude's name is involved in some real skeevy-ish, bro.
Speaker 3:
[47:31] Yeah. So whichever direction he decides to go, I hope he meets with the correct people. That's all.
Speaker 1:
[47:39] Well, no, I think, look, as much as he can meet with whoever he wants to meet with, I think what he's really got to do is stand the test of time here and really be this new person over an extended period of time. And that's not going to happen in a couple of years. I mean, hell, he spent what, eight years? I was from 2016, 2017 with the whole me and Trump got Dragon Blood and the whole around the desk and selling the Confederate flag and slavery was a choice and all of this till now.
Speaker 3:
[48:15] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[48:16] So, maybe you should at least spend half of that time being this new version of yourself and continue. And don't run and hide, Kanye. Continue to try to put shows on, continue to try to show up places and let people see that, you know, you are a new version of yourself.
Speaker 3:
[48:36] That's all you can do. But yes, that's the rundown.
Speaker 1:
[48:39] There it is. Intro for the outro.
Speaker 3:
[48:52] You saw the mayor this weekend?
Speaker 1:
[48:53] I did. You guys want to see Obama and Mom Donnie. Barack Hussein and Zoran Kwame. Zoran loves her wheels on the bus. Didn't do wheels on the bus with Ms. Rachel. Obama looking healthy, right? How old is Obama now? Griff? Is he in his 64, 5?
Speaker 3:
[49:38] I think so.
Speaker 1:
[49:39] 64? Now, why is this significant? Yes, it's Zoran, who for all intents and purposes, seems like he's doing a great job. We love the transparency, and we're five months into the deal pretty much, and he feels like he's getting some wins on the board, even with the most recent taxation thing, where they're taxing billionaires who have empty residences that they don't live in here in New York City.
Speaker 3:
[50:11] You know how many people did not know that? People were not aware that this is a thing.
Speaker 1:
[50:16] Wait, what?
Speaker 3:
[50:17] Yes, a lot.
Speaker 1:
[50:18] That billionaires around the world stash cash in New York City. By the way, big China, big UAE, big where they buy all of these penthouses and never live in them.
Speaker 3:
[50:30] Yep. A lot of people did not know that. They're just empty.
Speaker 1:
[50:34] Well, that's why when you're driving around and you're like, yo, how we got a housing crisis? And you see all these high rises with nobody in them. Well, people own them. That's for damn sure. They just don't live in them.
Speaker 3:
[50:46] Yeah, that's the problem.
Speaker 1:
[50:47] But yeah, so they hit that in the head and Hokel is going to approve that. She's into that. So there's obviously some taxation things. But anyway, Obama and Zoran. Remember when Zoran was running the Democratic establishment, was not endorsing Mom Donnie?
Speaker 3:
[51:06] That's right.
Speaker 1:
[51:07] That was the thing.
Speaker 3:
[51:07] That was the thing. I remember that now.
Speaker 1:
[51:09] Obama is like Captain Democrat.
Speaker 3:
[51:14] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[51:15] Him hanging out with Zoran and having a meeting with Zoran, is telling you, telegraphing, where potentially there could be a new coalition of Democrats forming, especially with the things that Zoran is doing and the approval ratings that he's getting from all Democrats in a huge city like New York.
Speaker 3:
[51:37] Yeah. And for the audience.
Speaker 1:
[51:39] By the way, beautiful. We love Barry O. Barry O and Zo. Sitting in a tree. We love it. But it's strategic.
Speaker 3:
[51:47] Yeah. And for the audience, I just suggest you go check out the mayor's social media, his website when they're like, what has he done? But he hasn't done anything. He's done this, he's done that. Go check out so you can see in detail everything that he's accomplished.
Speaker 1:
[52:02] Follow an Instagram account called Mom Donnie Updates. It's in Ebro's algo. Should I start bringing in a weekly Mom Donnie update? Keep an eye on that. There's another Democrat out of Michigan who I believe is also a Democratic socialist running for the Senate. I talked about him the other day.
Speaker 3:
[52:27] What's his name?
Speaker 1:
[52:28] Dr. Al Said. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:
[52:30] You did mention him.
Speaker 1:
[52:31] He was campaigning with, what's bro's name? Hassan Piker. Yo, we got traction on Hassan Piker on the show. Oh, yeah, he's, you know, I saw it. Like, what do you want us to do? Reply to a calendar or accept it? What do you want us to say? Like, I saw it. I meant to talk to you about that. What is that? Normally you send us an email. Griff, put in the calendar. Let me know if you want Hassan Piker. After we've been on here talking about bringing him on the show.
Speaker 4:
[52:58] Usually when we put it in the calendar, that means yeah.
Speaker 1:
[53:00] It's done. So I just accepted it because I thought that was maybe like what he was going for. But at any rate, so this, because remember, isn't AOC a Democratic Socialist?
Speaker 4:
[53:14] Yes.
Speaker 1:
[53:14] Bernie Sanders, Zoran Mamdani, is the Mayor of Boston a Democratic Socialist? There's a lot of her policies that have been successful in Boston. Mayor Wang, I think her last name is. She's had a lot of success in Boston. Both with just a progressive.
Speaker 6:
[53:39] Not a member of the party.
Speaker 1:
[53:40] Not a member of that party, just a progressive. But people talk a lot about how some of Zoran's things have already worked in a city like Boston.
Speaker 3:
[53:48] Okay.
Speaker 1:
[53:49] But at any rate, there's that faction of what's going on on the left. And then there's the more kind of traditional left democratic stuff going on. Which a lot of those people are getting ran into the ground taking that APAC money.
Speaker 3:
[54:05] I've seen those APAC checklist people.
Speaker 1:
[54:09] Yeah.
Speaker 3:
[54:10] I've seen more and more of those. Just exposing every single person who accepts money from APAC. That's the thing now.
Speaker 1:
[54:16] So, it's getting interesting as we head to the midterms. Hopefully y'all don't lose focus. Hopefully you're not distracted and deterred by your algorithm. As Deaf Nod Ant just showed us, there's a lot of AI on the algorithm, a lot of noise, and they're hoping you forget.
Speaker 3:
[54:37] Also, because I know we have a lot of listeners that tune in from different states. Wherever you are, please check your voter registration. Check because so many people are complaining like, yo, this was my place. I'm good. I know I'm registered and all of a sudden they're not. So this year will be the most important year for you to check because they're playing games with y'all. They are.
Speaker 1:
[55:00] One of the things they're going to do is play games with your spirituality and they're going to tap you and play with this religious noise that we're seeing. Bring up clip number seven.
Speaker 11:
[55:16] So the prayer is Cesar 2517 and it reads and pray with me please. The path of the downed aviator is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of camaraderie and duty shepherd the lost through the valley of darkness for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to capture and destroy my brother.
Speaker 12:
[55:49] And you will know my call sign is Sandy 1, when I lay my vengeance upon. And you will know my name is the Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
Speaker 1:
[56:06] Now, the reason I set that up that way is because that was seriously the head of the Department of War, as they've renamed it. Pete Hegseth, who was appointed by Donald Trump, having a prayer where he read a scripture, which was from Pope Fiction.
Speaker 3:
[56:29] Oh my God. Yeah. That's why this season is there.
Speaker 1:
[56:36] They didn't know that? No. Rassan, our cameraman. You played yourself.
Speaker 4:
[56:45] Oh, he was Christian for a minute.
Speaker 1:
[56:47] Rassan, our cameraman, say it wasn't real. I think there are portions of the Pope Fiction. One that is a real scripture, but then Sam Jackson or what's my man's name who wrote the script? Quentin Tarantino actually added a lot to it. But he read the Quentin Tarantino one, not the real one, Rassan. But that's what I mean when they're going to play with your spirituality and your knowledge. These people cannot be trusted. These are unserious people, man.
Speaker 3:
[57:20] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[57:21] That was not a real scripture.
Speaker 3:
[57:24] Yo, they're going to play in your...
Speaker 1:
[57:26] And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes, and they shall know that I'm the Lord when I shall lay my vengeance upon them. Ezekiel 25, 17. That's it. That's the whole piece, by the way. That's the actual scripture. All that other stuff? Tarantino. Yes. Tarantino. But hopefully, you guys are receiving my point.
Speaker 4:
[57:53] Yes.
Speaker 1:
[57:54] You're picking up what I'm putting down. Yes. There will be a lot of things that will trigger you that I believe the right will attempt to use religion and your beliefs so that they can ingratiate themselves to you. Which by the way, side note, I've always felt like that abortion thing was that.
Speaker 3:
[58:15] Yeah. Exactly. Exactly that.
Speaker 1:
[58:17] Right? Playing with you, playing with your beliefs and all that, delving into, you know, someone's decision on how they want to handle pregnancy. And we live in a country where your body autonomy is like your personhood, your ability to make decisions about your body, should be fundamental, not the government involved.
Speaker 3:
[58:47] From a party who wants less government, right?
Speaker 1:
[58:51] We know that they're full of it.
Speaker 5:
[58:53] Congratulations, you played yourself. Full of it, full of it.
Speaker 1:
[58:56] All while taking money right out the back door. Yo, Lou, can we get a chart for The Moral Show or how much money? I know people have made them. How much money the Trump family has made? All of the sons, Trump, all of them. Just to review, because they're taking tax dollars right out the back door. Yep. And remember, these bombs that are being dropped on Iran, that were paying a lot of money to make, that means they got to go buy more of them from the Lockheed Martins and these war machines. I'm sure if we check, those stock prices are going in the right direction.
Speaker 2:
[59:38] Well, they're asking companies to make more.
Speaker 1:
[59:40] Yeah, they're asking companies to make more because they want us to buy more. So they're getting paid.
Speaker 3:
[59:48] Pay attention, guys. Just pay attention.
Speaker 1:
[59:50] Pay close attention.
Speaker 3:
[59:52] All right.
Speaker 1:
[59:53] Rosenberg, can we have Rosenberg at WrestleMania before we get to the gurus?
Speaker 3:
[59:57] Let's see.
Speaker 7:
[59:58] Let's see.
Speaker 13:
[59:59] Griffster, it's me. It's late WrestleMania Sunday night. I'm at the MGM Grand hanging out with some people. Listen, do me a favor. Tonight was crazy as you saw. Roman Reigns, the new world champ. Don't let Ebro attempt to talk about WrestleMania and disrespect by getting it all wrong and not knowing who anyone is. I promise I will be back in a couple of days and we'll have the proper conversation. All right? Okay. I love you all greatly.
Speaker 1:
[60:33] I didn't know the piece. I saw a pic. Where's the picture of Rosenberg with some blonde lady holding the belt? Let me see. Hold on. He sent us some photos because I was like, yo, we don't need to know what's going on.
Speaker 4:
[60:42] Don't talk wrestling because Ebro's going to mess everything up.
Speaker 1:
[60:45] Who is that lady?
Speaker 11:
[60:46] Liv Morgan.
Speaker 1:
[60:48] Who?
Speaker 7:
[60:49] Liv Morgan.
Speaker 3:
[60:49] Liv Morgan.
Speaker 1:
[60:50] And what did she win?
Speaker 7:
[60:52] Women's title.
Speaker 1:
[60:53] Women's title. Shout to Liv Morgan.
Speaker 3:
[60:56] Look at Rosenberg.
Speaker 1:
[60:57] Rosenberg on the post show. Madsberry Park. Okay. Oh, she's from Madsberry Park, New Jersey. Yo, man, shout to Liv, man. All right. It's the homie Liv Morgan. We'll hold it. The women's belt. Now, who's Rosenberg with here with the cowboy hat? Shawn Michaels.
Speaker 3:
[61:11] Hey, Shawn Michaels.
Speaker 1:
[61:11] Shawn, you knew that? You didn't know that.
Speaker 3:
[61:14] I didn't.
Speaker 4:
[61:15] But I know the other one's Trick Williams.
Speaker 1:
[61:17] Lemon Pepper Steppers.
Speaker 4:
[61:18] Yeah, and Lil Yachty.
Speaker 1:
[61:19] He won. Lemon Pepper Steppers got it done? He was on the show. I met him.
Speaker 13:
[61:23] Yeah, well, I mean, that's Yachty.
Speaker 1:
[61:25] Yeah. What did Yachty do?
Speaker 10:
[61:26] He helped him.
Speaker 1:
[61:27] Helped him. He's like the manager.
Speaker 10:
[61:29] He helped him with the timing.
Speaker 1:
[61:30] All right. All right, Lil Yachty, getting his wrestling thing on. There's Rosenberg with Triple H. Triple H.
Speaker 4:
[61:39] Yo, Rosenberg was so right.
Speaker 7:
[61:41] He was so right.
Speaker 1:
[61:43] Steven A. I know Steven A. He don't like me.
Speaker 7:
[61:46] Look at Steven A's face.
Speaker 1:
[61:47] Now, who's the blonde lady up there with them?
Speaker 2:
[61:50] That's the new host.
Speaker 1:
[61:51] New host.
Speaker 3:
[61:51] She's the new host.
Speaker 4:
[61:52] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[61:53] All right.
Speaker 4:
[61:53] We'll let Rosenberg come back, man, so we can talk about this because we chopping it all up.
Speaker 3:
[61:59] I'm so proud of him, though.
Speaker 1:
[62:00] Yeah, man. Go ahead, Rosenberg. Do the wrestling thing. Let's get to the gurus. Wait, what? What?
Speaker 7:
[62:07] Oh, yes.
Speaker 1:
[62:08] Oh, yes. Our girl, Bianca Belair.
Speaker 3:
[62:11] Announced her pregnancy.
Speaker 1:
[62:12] Beautiful.
Speaker 3:
[62:14] Congrats, Bianca.
Speaker 1:
[62:15] Oh, man. When Rhea Ripley was here, right? They were saying that Bianca was injured her hand or something. They was lying.
Speaker 3:
[62:23] No, she said finger.
Speaker 10:
[62:24] She broke her finger last year in surgery.
Speaker 1:
[62:26] Yeah, but this clearly was the reason that she hadn't come back. Now, did they put that up at WrestleMania or Bianca put that up?
Speaker 10:
[62:33] Announced it at WrestleMania.
Speaker 1:
[62:34] Announced that at WrestleMania. She came out. Yeah.
Speaker 3:
[62:38] I saw a clip of that reveal.
Speaker 1:
[62:39] All right. Yeah. You know, I'm into that.
Speaker 12:
[62:42] Bianca, congrats.
Speaker 1:
[62:44] That's so beautiful, Bianca. Let's get to the gurus.
Speaker 9:
[62:46] All right, let's go. Hey, yo, it's time for the gurus, Rosenberg.
Speaker 1:
[62:50] All right, you know you are a beautiful queen.
Speaker 5:
[62:53] Ebro, don't ever play yourself.
Speaker 1:
[62:55] You're not a guru.
Speaker 3:
[62:58] Breathe out. The Original Gurus at gmail.com. The Original Gurus at gmail.com. Write to us. Where the gurus unite to shine the light. Ebro, burn the sage. This looks like a co-parenting guru.
Speaker 1:
[63:15] Nobody's picked up on when she says burn the sage and I breathe. Get it? Where that's burning of the sage. That means my brother. Never mind. Here we go.
Speaker 3:
[63:25] Dear gurus, love you guys and I'll get right to it. I'm a 47-year-old single mother with two daughters, 19 and eight. Each from long-term relationships and my oldest dad, my oldest dad and I co-parent really well. We're great friends. My youngest dad, my ex-fiance and I have been broken up now for about five years. Our relationship is a mix of really great times and really hard ones. I left because of his temper and the disrespect, which is a deal-breaker for me. That said, we had a strong connection, especially with our adult time.
Speaker 1:
[64:01] Oh, y'all was humpy.
Speaker 3:
[64:03] Yeah, parentheses, amazing. We never really stopped for the past five years. Wait, pay attention to that. Okay. All right. We got along well, had fun and worked well as a team. He's a good dad, hardworking, and we've never had any issues with cheating. We've continued to co-parent well, have a solid custody agreement. Listen to the whole thing, Ebro. Just wait. All right. We have a solid custody arrangement and still support each other. Over the years, we've stayed close and have not been in other relationships. He helps me whenever I need him and make sure I'm always good. He always has my back. All right. Now, I'm wondering if getting back together could ever work. He's open to therapy, but I'm unsure if real change is possible, especially with his temper. I do feel guilty about how this might affect my older daughter, who still lives with me. Would it be too confusing for my youngest? We broke up and she was three and now she's eight years old. Do people really change? How do you know if it's worth trying again? Your advice is appreciated.
Speaker 1:
[65:11] So she said 19 and eight. Is that what I heard? Yep. So almost 10 years apart. Yep. For kids.
Speaker 3:
[65:18] Yep.
Speaker 1:
[65:19] Second baby daddy is the one with the temper. Yes. And the one that she likes having sex with.
Speaker 3:
[65:24] That's right. That's right.
Speaker 1:
[65:26] First baby daddy and her co-parent great, everything's smooth.
Speaker 3:
[65:30] Great.
Speaker 1:
[65:30] Second baby daddy who she likes humping, he's still a good dad though.
Speaker 3:
[65:35] Yes. She says that he's a great father. The co-parenting situation is great. It's just in the relationship, his temper was the issue and he disrespected her.
Speaker 1:
[65:44] The question I believe, there's two questions she has to ask. There is the temper question. Would the sex still be as good if y'all was in a relationship? Or is the sex really good because it's like not tied to any sort of responsibility?
Speaker 3:
[66:01] That's one.
Speaker 1:
[66:02] No, that's a big one. Because what are y'all gonna start living together now? Y'all gonna, now you're gonna have all the stresses in the house, all of this going on, you think the sex is still gonna be that good?
Speaker 3:
[66:14] I mean, look, it does sound that over the years, cause I skipped a bit long. It says that they're constantly in each other's lives. He's always there. He recently helped me move. Reminded me how good we are together.
Speaker 1:
[66:26] Always there, like physically there, or always available to talk is two different things.
Speaker 3:
[66:32] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:
[66:33] Because I'll tell you what, he may not have other relationships, but he ain't in a relationship with you. And so that means he's got excursions.
Speaker 3:
[66:46] The one thing I will say, though, he's open-
Speaker 1:
[66:47] Or side quests, as people say today.
Speaker 3:
[66:50] Well, he's open to going to therapy.
Speaker 1:
[66:53] I'm sure he is, because he has no commitment. He can say whatever he wants to say to get in the draws each week.
Speaker 3:
[67:00] I mean, he's getting the draws anyway.
Speaker 1:
[67:01] Right. So he might as well say, yeah, sure, I'm open to therapy.
Speaker 3:
[67:05] I don't know. So her question is, do people really change? How do you know if it's worth trying again?
Speaker 1:
[67:10] Yes, people do really change. I don't know if he really wants to get back into a relationship with you.
Speaker 3:
[67:15] I know. Have you asked him?
Speaker 1:
[67:17] Exactly.
Speaker 3:
[67:18] Is this a conversation that you guys have had already? I mean, if you did and he said yes, I definitely think therapy is worth a try. I don't think you guys should just jump into living together.
Speaker 1:
[67:28] How about this? He'd been getting the buns consistently without any commitment.
Speaker 3:
[67:34] So you guys never really broke up?
Speaker 1:
[67:37] Right. Well, no, but he has no commitment.
Speaker 3:
[67:40] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[67:40] So it's perfect for him. I want to see what happens when you say, I love what we have, but I need to know if you're committed to me and your daughter and this family, I need a full commitment or we have to stop having sex. That's the real test.
Speaker 3:
[68:10] Yeah, so I think that's the main question.
Speaker 1:
[68:13] Because in there, I'm going to tell you how, this is how crazy she is. She had the audacity in here to write, and we've never had cheating problems. You're not together.
Speaker 3:
[68:25] We've never had issues cheating. I mean that she knows of.
Speaker 1:
[68:28] But they're not in a committed cheating. How? What's cheating?
Speaker 3:
[68:31] Right. So meaning that he could be seeing somebody else.
Speaker 7:
[68:32] They broke up when the baby was three.
Speaker 1:
[68:34] The baby's age, five years.
Speaker 3:
[68:36] I mean, look, I'm just going by what she wrote. And your question is, do people really change? I believe that people can change. How do you know if it's worth trying again? Honestly, you have to communicate and make sure that he wants the same thing you want. Make sure. That's number one. And I do think you should jump. The first thing you should do is try therapy. And then don't jump into a relationship right away. Because it sounds like she's going to be like, I move in, we're ready. I don't think you should do that.
Speaker 1:
[69:02] Late, great, easy E. The legend, rest in peace. Had a great diagnosis for people like her. You're addicted to what the dick did. You're not thinking clear, ma'am. Sorry. I don't think you really have a thing here until you stop giving up the drawers and get his commitment to you and your household and your family. I think your oldest daughter will be okay. It'll be interesting to see. Well, and also that co-parenting situation is wrapping up. Because the oldest is 19.
Speaker 6:
[69:45] Yeah.
Speaker 1:
[69:47] The youngest is eight.
Speaker 3:
[69:48] Yeah. So listen, I say communicate, see where he's at, see if he wants to be where you're at, and if you end up trying it, well, I think therapy should be the number one stop. So say the gurus.
Speaker 6:
[70:05] Thank you guys.
Speaker 3:
[70:06] Happy Monday.
Speaker 1:
[70:07] Great show. Shout out to everybody in the super chat. Please subscribe. How's our subscriber pacing low? Slowing down. You don't think we're going to get to that 100,000 by July, do you?
Speaker 3:
