Speaker 1:
[00:23] Hello, friends. I'm Solar Stone. Welcome to Pure Trance Radio, episode 482. I'm going to jump straight into the progressive selection with something rather beautiful on 03 by Neil Young and Lasada. This is called Just Be, and it's a really lovely way to kick off the show on this particularly rainy Welsh day. Pure chance. Radio. That is Just Be by Neil Young and Lesada on 03. Well, I hope you're well, guys. Hope you had a good two weeks since I last saw you for a live show. I can't remember why I wasn't able to do the live show last week. Oh, now I remember. Isn't it because I went to, um... Is it because I went to, uh, America and Canada? Oh yeah, that's right. I hit Montreal, um, Toronto, and Denver, I heard. I took the train from Montreal to Denver on the Friday, and it was a really, really lovely trip. I always try to do anything other than flying, if at all possible. This is Every with Mirage. This came out recently on Pure Progressive. I absolutely love this record, and I hope you do too. This is pure. What a beautiful record, isn't it? I got goose bumps everywhere when that record dropped. That's Everie and Mirage. That's out now on Pure Progressive. That record nearly made it onto Pure Trance Volume 11, or Pure Trance XI, as we're calling it. But I decided to put it out as a single beforehand. More information on Pure Trance 11 soon. Now, there's another one on Pure Progressive, which is out shortly. This is Soul Alt Delete with the wonderful Doobye. That's out today on Pure Progressive, ladies and gents. I just managed to work out why there wasn't a show last week, and it was because I was so ruined by jet lag from the quick thing I did in Montreal, Toronto and Denver, that on the day of the show, my head was absolutely all over the place, and I just couldn't face doing it. So that's why I wasn't here last week, okay? I'm apologizing for that again. Coming up next, I got something from Ferry, Causton and Marsh. This is Ferry's mix of Attraction, and this is on Amjoonabeats. Such a brilliant record. Ferry caused an homage with attraction. That's Ferry's mix. That's how we know all our Juno beats. Shout out to Gerard from South Africa, who's tuned in on YouTube and Twitch. Coming up next, something from Enlution on the Forescape digital label. This is ExoTech with Daystar, the Enlution mix. This is Pure Chance Radio, Episode 482. What a record. That's Daystar by Exotek, the Enlution remix on Forescape Digital. Now, many years ago, back in 1997, I began my Solarstone career with a track called The Calling, and that was the 50th release on a legendary label called Hooj Choons. That label was run by a guy called Red Jerry, one of the, probably one of the most influential people in the world of house and trance. He really did shape the landscape of the early trance scene with a lot of releases on that label, Hooj Choons. And now, they're releasing their 200th record. It's a brand new mix of the wonderful Touched by God, by Katcha, and it's La Rose on the mix. Oh, what a record. There was an Alucard remix of that, which was featured on Electronic Architecture, Volume 1, which came out in 2010. That is the LaRouze remix of Touched by God by Katcha, and that's the 200th release on Hooj Choons. Congratulations, Jerry. Coming up next, something a little bit different for you. It's not the kind of thing we usually play, but we like it anyway. Now, this record wasn't supposed to be out until the 25th, but it's actually already turned up on Beatport. I played you the Lost Levels remix a couple of weeks ago. This is the original version of Scream by Super Frog Save Tokyo. If you like a bit of modular techno, I think you're going to love this. This is on electronic architecture. I might have just said that twice. And this is the first of two tracks in this part of the show today. We haven't done that before. Super Frog Saves Tokyo, Scream, that's on Electronic Architecture, one of my labels. Not the kind of thing I usually play. But I like it anyway, as is the name of this feature of the show. And I've never done this before, but I've got a second track coming up in this category now. This is 808 State and Humanoid with Raid. Well, if that doesn't take you back to raving in a warehouse in 1988, if you were of a certain age, nothing will. That's 808 State, together with Humanoid. Who did that? Humanoid. Record. That's taken from a new In Place of Language EP, what I got from the bandcamp, detuned bandcamp, that one's called Raid. Not the kind of thing I usually play, but bloody hell. But don't worry, we are going back to more familiar territory next, okay, guys? Well, this record came out on the 1st of April. It's a brand new version of a bit of a trans classic from back in the day. It's the fabulous Down with the Underground by Trevor Reilly. It is the Ian Stirling remix, and this is out now on Pure Trance Recordings. All right, guys, be honest, who was doing an air violin to that track? I resisted the temptation to do it myself during the live stream. Well, I know a lot of people in the chat were doing it, right? Well, that is the fabulous Down with the Underground, Ian Stirling remix by Trevor Reilly came out many, many years ago, and that version is out now on Pure Trance, ladies and gents. I played at Farias' QT's party in London a few weeks ago, and one of the acts that were on the line up were Close Proximity. These guys are really making waves in the world of trance at the moment. They've got this really wicked sound, it's kind of like a throwback to the 90s trance sound, but with a modern twist. And this is a remix they did of a track called Visual Entropy by Osccurate. This is the Close Proximity Freedom Mix. This is on Volition. I think you're going to love this, guys. More news about Close Proximity coming up, hopefully, in the next couple of months. That's a brilliant record. That's Visual Entropy by Osccurate, the Close Proximity Freedom Mix, that's on Volition. God, that brings back memories for me, that record. Over the mid 90s. Long look for that in the chat. Chester Nige says, that's a great track. It is, right? Now, this on the Le Yeu Orange label, this was spun off with Refleio, and I think you're gonna love this, guys. Three in a row. Wow, wow, wow. What a wonderful record that is, right, guys? That was three in a row. First off, you heard Refleyou by Spunoff on the Lay Your Orange label. Then it was Ferry Tayle and Clara Yates with Safe With Me. That's one in Trance We Trust. Then you heard Signum with Champion on Future Sound of Egypt. And in the background, that's the dub mix of Set Me Free by Lost Witness. There is a vocal mix of that, but that dub is the one for me. It's absolutely brilliant, isn't it? And that's on Amsterdam Trance. I'm not sure when that's out, but it might already be out. But hey, just go and search for it, right? Well, I was very, very sad to read a couple of days ago about the death of Moya Brennan of Clannad. She, well, I absolutely loved Clannad, growing up listening to Clannad and Enya, and Moya Brennan really was the voice, wasn't she, of Clannad? And she sang on the fabulous Saltwater by Chicane many years ago. So I'm going to play something in her memory now, like that. This is a remix I did of a track of hers from a few years ago. This is Raz Nitzan and Moya Brennan, Find the Sun, and this is the Solarstone remix, and it's today's one from the Archive. That is Rasnitsyn and Moya Brennan, who died recently, very sadly. That's Find the Sun, the Solarstone remix. I did that in 2017, I think. Yeah, what a shame, what a shame, right? That was one from the archive for today. Something new for Cold from Cold Blue for you now. Oh wow, just more absolute brilliance from Cold Blue. That's a new mix of a track from his Mountain album. That's Storm. That's on Cold Blue Recordings. And he is such a lovely, unassuming, affable guy. Really, really lovely guy. I wish there were more like him in the trance scene, to be honest with you. Now I've got something from another really, really nice guy. This track came out a few weeks ago, probably a month ago, on Pure Trance. But it got picked up by Armin on Estate of Trance last week, which was nice to see. So I'm giving it another spin. It was my big tune from a few weeks ago. This actually came out on the 18th of March. It is Effon with the fabulous Cadence Theory. Oh, God. That is just an absolutely brilliant record, isn't it? That's called Caden's Theory by Effen. Came out a couple of weeks ago, a few weeks ago on Pure Trance. As I said, they got picked up by Armin on the State of Trance last week, which was a nice surprise for me and for him, of course. Effen is from Singapore. He's a really, really nice bloke. Caden's Theory, absolutely stunning. Didn't mean to do that. This is Baleric Bob with Lost in Ibiza, and this is on Tramp State. Baleric Bob, Lost in Ibiza, on Tramp State. That's Enigma State's label, guys. Absolutely brilliant, isn't it? If you're watching on Twitch and you want to subscribe, you can subscribe using your Amazon Prime account, just in case you didn't know. Coming up next, it's the first of two big tunes on this week's show because I just couldn't choose between them. This is the first in a series of tracks I have got coming out from this absolutely brilliant UK-based producer. It is Peter Steele. And this is the tour. That came out a little while ago, I think it came out on Friday on Pure Trance. And that is the first of this week's Big Tunes, and now is the second of this week's Big Tunes, because this is absolutely brilliant as well. This one's out on Friday, sequence 6, with the rather brilliant Mewali, and it's coming out on Pure Transnion. Don't forget you heard it here first. Oh, isn't that lovely? That is called, um, Mewali by Sequence 6, and that means, you're welcome. Uh, it's actually, uh, either Balinese or Indonesian. It's one of the two, one of the languages they speak in Bali. And the reason I know that is Sequence 6 is here in the chat on Twitch, and he just told us, thank you, Giovanni. That is the second of two big tunes in today's show. The previous one was The Tour by Peter Steele, which came out last Friday. This one comes out this Friday on Pure Trance Neon. Lovely, lovely record. Now I've got time for two more tracks in the show today, guys. The Oh Yeah moment, and of course, the Chill Out moment. In case anybody was wondering, I was meant to be playing in Dubai shortly, but that is not happening now. But I am going to China next week to do the Pure Trance 11 event with my good friend Orchidia. We're doing that weekend after next. And I've got some other gigs coming up as well, but you know what, I'm not gonna tell you about them now. You can always check them out on my websites. I'll tell you about them next time, okay? Okay, can we have next week's Oh Yeah moment? This is the sound of DJ Cosmic Dream and Turtle Beach on his very own label Insignia. And I don't mind telling you now that I've done a remix of this. More information on that soon. That is this week's OEM moment. That is DJ Cosmic Dream, Turtle Beach. And that's on Insignia. Solar Stone's Chill Out Moment. You're probably not aware, but DJ Cosmic Dream is actually Mark Shosoff. Okay, let's wind things down with a little bit of chilled drum and bass. That is this week's Chill Out Moment, Wilkinson and Iola, with Close Your Eyes from the album Cognition, and that came out on Sleepless Music. Thanks for joining me, guys. Take care of yourselves. See you next week.
