Speaker 3:
[01:07] Did you book an appointment tonight? Okay, great, what is your name? Right here, right on time. Can you just confirm your date of birth for me? Let me see your medical. Okay, I see that you've had a physical checkup as of recently, and you've had a cranial nerve exam before, correct? Okay, is there anything specific that brings you in today? Any concerns? Are you experiencing any flu-like symptoms at the moment? Temperature changes or throat cough or anything like that? Yeah, sometimes those symptoms can change our sense of taste and smell. So we like to be sure, just in case, you know, getting a cranial nerve exam, it's not always good to have that, because it might temporarily be changed, but long term, you know, your smell could be just fine, you know? Yeah. All right, I just have a couple questions before we get started. So, we'll start off with your sense of smell. Are you experiencing any distorted smell right now? Have you been, right at the moment, you might not be experiencing any symptoms, but within the past month or two, have you been sick at all? Okay. Did that change your sense of smell? Yeah, congestion can definitely do that. Distorted sense of taste. Things tasting more dull, or not how they used to taste. Any allergies? Use that. Any changes to your vision, any blurry vision, any floaters. Yeah, like shadows that fall almost when you move your eyes or anything. Are you wearing any contacts? Okay. And overall, do you wear contacts or glasses? Move them or anything. What about hearing? Do you have triple hearing? Yeah, we actually, it's a weird, it's a weird facility here, but we like to whisper, cause it's kind of like a hearing test all throughout, you know, if you say, what more you don't understand certain things that I tell you to do throughout this exam. It's kind of like hearing test from the beginning. Yeah, it's really interesting. But, alright, so that's good to know in any pain in your ears or even your lymph nodes. Okay. It's a little bit swollen. We offer a lymphatic drainage, just a quick little lymph node massage. Would you like that today? Of course, yeah, no extra charge. This whole thing's actually free because we like to be proactive, make sure people are healthy. Anyone that comes in, you know, I know a lot of things in life are expensive, so we like to do this at no extra charge. And any weird sensations in your face, any tingling, numbness. The sensations. All right, and now is your... Center the lips again, okay? Keep that in mind. And are you allergic to any products? Yeah, we won't be putting any products on your face, and we don't use latex gloves. I know sometimes that can irritate the skin, so no worries on that. And you can move your face just fine, like do a bunch of facial expressions. Okay. Okay, that's good to know. That's always good. Alright. So real quick, before we get started, you're a little nervous. That's okay, I'm glad you told me. Yeah. Before I started working here, actually, I used to be really nervous for the doctors. You know, any time they took my blood pressure, it would spike. I get it. That's why I actually became a doctor, to kind of help people with their medical anxiety and stuff like that. But sit back, relax. We'll be doing a bunch of simple tests. And if you have any, you know, anxiety throughout it, we can always pause. Go grab some water, a little bathroom break, anything you'd like. Yeah, yeah, it's my pleasure. And we also offer these calming gummies. So these are just natural supplements, ashwagandha, aldenine, lemon balm, and magnesium. And they're vegan, gluten-free. They're just gonna help you relax a little bit, take the edge off. Yeah, they're, here, I'll show you. You can take a free pack with you home today, if you'd like. If you finally enjoy them. Just these calming gummies. So, take this, and that will help with any stress or help give that extra boost of relaxation. So, when you come here next, for your next green alarm exam, you can take those. Okay, I think we should be ready to begin. Are you on any medication? So, I'm going to start off with just listening to your heart. So, let me take these, and I just need you to breathe normally for me, and just fully relax. I'm just gonna place this right in the center, just to listen. Just breathe normally. Okay. Good. And let's listen to your lungs. Just take a deep breath for me. Good. And I'm just gonna place this on your back and just take one more deep breath. Everything sounds healthy and normal. We're gonna be getting your temperature. Hey, would you like water or anything? Okay. Alright, so just stick out your tongue for me, and just I'm gonna place it right underneath. 98.7, good, good. Good. All right. And we're gonna quickly get your heart rate and your oxygen level as well. So if you'll just give me your finger. Okay, I'm just gonna just let it rest for a moment. You can just fully relax your arm, it kinda helps with it. You can just breathe normally, and let's see. All right, perfect. The next question is 98, good. And our rate is 65. Perfect. Okay, so far so good. Now I'm just gonna hit your knee, all right? Don't kick me. Seems to be good there. And you're gonna get your blood pressure. So, is there an arm that you would prefer for this? This one? All right. So, actually, you'll need to relax it on this table right here. I'm gonna put this around your wrist. Just fully relax. We'll let this just kind of squeeze your arm there. And while that is happening, I'm gonna get your smell test set up. People tend to find the smell test kind of fun. It's like a little challenge. And it also helps relax you. So we have all of these different senses right here. Our sense. And there's a bunch of nice smells that are supposed to help with relaxation. So we'll start off with this. And then we'll be getting into the taste test. And then we'll do the face exam, eye exam, and then hearing, okay? Just so you know what to expect. All right. And this is done right here. Your blood pressure is great. Yeah, top number's looking good, and same with the bottom one. So, physically, you seem very healthy. We'll do the in-depth test of the cranial nerve exam now. We're gonna start off with just different smells, and if at any time you notice your nose getting like nose fatigue, or it's beginning to get a little challenging because you're overwhelmed with how many smells, just let me know we can stop. So, you just need to pick up at least one note that you smell in this one. Or I mean, actually, this is one smell. That one might be a little hard. We started off with the hardest one. Let's do a little easier one. Let me see. Okay, let's do this one. So, just smell this. Peppermint. Yeah, that one is truly one of the easiest. Even from the moment that I opened it, I smelled that. All right. Let's see. Okay, this is one where you have to pick up at least one note that you might smell. So, just smell this. Cinnamon, correct. I have a sense that you might have smelled clove, nutmeg, freaking scents. Right, let's try this one. Lavender, yes. And it is okay if you get some of them confused, like with the different fragrances that you might have smelled before. Okay, so just smell this. Tropical scent, but one of the notes in it is orange. Okay, let's try this one. You like this? Yeah, a lot of people find it fun. When we engage our sense of smell, it kind of helps us feel more calm in general. So we like to start off with this. So just smell that. Yes, you're really good at this. It is lime. It also is mandarin bergamot. And it's supposedly supposed to make you feel peaceful. Let's try this one. Just smell this. This might be a little harder, similar to the first one, where you just might not know. I see your nose doesn't work. This one is frankincense. So if you're just not familiar with frankincense, it'd be a little hard to guess it, of course. All right, let's try. Whoa, so that's a good guess. You're getting to, yeah, you can say both of them. Vanilla and lemon, wow, that was good. There's also sage, lavender, and bergamot. So, you got that one right, and this one is supposedly supposed to make you feel happy. Great way to start a cranial nerve exam. Okay, this one is winter mint. So I would still pair that with peppermint slash mint. So, I'd say you got the one right. This smells like... spearmint. And well, we're almost done with this so far. I have no concerns with your sense of smell. What do you think you smell with this one? It is actually one of them is in the wood category. So close, I'm two of these. Okay, yeah, it is spearmint and sandalwood. We also have a little bit of grapefruit and bergamot. But, you know, because you said woodamint, I'm giving it to you. What do you think this is? This one is Winter Green. So, interesting one. I don't think I would have got that one right either. Shake it, kind of. It has more of a strong scent. What do you think, this? A lot, a lot of people have come through, actually. Do you like perfumes and, you know, different scents of smells? Scents of smells like candles? Do you like your nose, practically? A lot of people don't care for smell, but I think it's a beautiful scent that we have. Eucalyptus. Good. All right. We have four more. This one with... You can breathe this one, it's actually called Breathe. So take your time and breathe this in. Peppermint, yes. What else? Can you guess any more? Tea tree. Wow. Yeah, those two are really stand out a lot. And there's also lavender, eucalyptus, rosemary. Let's smell this one. Lavender. I personally love lavender. Very relaxing. Yeah. All right, we have one more, and then one is a repeat. So, smell this. Rose, correct. Lemon. I'm gonna keep it smooth, yeah. It sounds really fresh, it reminds me of spring. There's also lime, bergamot, jasmine. This one is, in fact, a repeat, so... Smell this. Spearmint, correct. All right. Well, you did absolutely amazing. I have no concerns with your sense of smell, so let me just take note of that. Yeah, all right. Now, I'm just going to be testing your sense of taste, okay? Okay, so I'm just going to take a little bit of this here that I'm just going to drip onto your tongue. So if you just stick your tongue out for a moment. What do you think that tastes like? Great, correct. You can just make sure that's... Now, we're going to do an oil that's a little more complicated. It has like multiple different flavors mixed, just like the smell one. I just need you to pick up on one flavor, okay? Just mix it up a little bit so that you don't get... Just give that a nice little... Okay. It's interesting, yeah. Do you like it at least? Okay. Vanilla, good. That one has a bunch of different, like, raspberry, chocolate, vanilla, like, bunch of different very delicious flavors, but they all are kind of strong, where it kind of becomes subtle, each one. Yeah. All right, let's do another. That one might be a little more hard. Getting a little like a grape flavor. Okay, so anything specific you can pick up on. Lime, good. Yeah, that one has a bunch of different tropical flavors into it, so the lime would have been a little bit harder. All right, now we are going to... I'm just going to spray it on this little cotton swab and just... You should tell me what you taste. So just stick your tongue out. Just get this little tap. And what do you taste with that one? Wow, that's impressive. Yeah, because that one has a bunch of strong flavors that kind of overpower, and we dropped literally just a tiny bit of lemon. Try one more flavor. What do you taste? You don't like that one as much? You taste ginger? You like ginger? That does have ginger. Yeah. The other flavors you might not like, it's like olive, blackberry, ginger, that's lemon again, bunch of random flavors. But you know what? The fact that you picked up on ginger, I have no concerns with your sense of taste or smell. Yeah, let me just put this away. Smell is good. I don't have a sense of taste. All right, perfect. So, your senses seem great so far. Would you rather do your sense of touch first, or an eye exam? People tend to like to eventually shut their eyes, and also for the face exam, I am gonna need you to shut your eyes, as well as the ear exam, actually. So, why don't we get that one out of the way? All right, perfect. We are going to start off with just having a look inside of your eyes. Let me actually put some gloves on, because I will be touching your eyelid. So, you said no blurry vision, just a little dryness. Okay, and when your eyes are dry, do you notice it impacting your vision far close? Okay, and when does that usually happen? Your eyes getting dry. Yeah, they ordered me to smell of closet. But let's have a look. So I just need you to look at me. I'm just gonna shine this light in your eyes. It's gonna be a little bright, okay? All right. I know it's a little hard on the eyes. So just keep looking at me for a moment. I wanna have a look at your lower eyelids. I'm just gonna pull it down a little bit. Are these styes or anything? Okay, let's see. It's more dry than the other one. You're right. We're gonna do a little peripheral vision test. I'm gonna back up a little bit, and just nod your head when you see the light in your field of vision, okay? Just look at my nose. Okay. I see the light. Now, do you mind following the light? I'm gonna tilt it down a little bit so that it's not as bright. Just follow the light for me. Just listening to see how your eyes move. Cover one eye at a time. And I just need you to look straight, and just tell me when you see the light in your vision, okay? But just look just right here in this general area, and tell me when you see the light. I'm gonna switch. I'm gonna cover this eye right here, just tell me when you see the light. Good. Just look straight. Keep the side covered, can you tell me how many fingers I'm holding up? Haley, tell me how many fingers I'm holding. The famous I chart. I'm gonna get it a little bright. Just a little bit. And I just need you to tell me what letter you see when I pointed it. I'll ask you the letter or the row. Are you ready? Okay, what letter is this? E, good. What about this row? Yeah, just for your best. Okay, and. That's okay. You still have very good fishing. And you did very good at that one. We're gonna test your basic colors real quick before we get into a couple more tests. But can you tell me what color this is? Green, good. Yes, I'll accept pink and purple. What about this? Yellow, correct. White, good. And I'm just gonna get it a little darker, slightly, and I just need you to follow the blue light, okay? Just follow it down. Lighten your eyes. I just need you to look at me, okay? I'm just gonna shine this in your eye. Do you, by any chance, like, if you're on your phone for a while, do your eyes get more dry or hurt at all? All right. That might be what's causing the dry eyes. For now, would you like some eye drops? Yeah, we have some eye trading eye drops. We just have to do more tests to do. I'm gonna take a look inside your eye first, before we do that, actually, and just see how it changes once I put the eye drops in. So, I'm just gonna need you to look right here at this little flash, and I'm just gonna look inside of your eyes. During this, you don't have to keep it open. I noticed your eyes are watering a little bit more. Yeah, I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you that, but. As I drop them. Let's see how this changes. Yeah, it's not a burner or anything, it's just hydrating. It's gonna make your eyes feel nice after. So, let's do one more time, you ready? This did rip, but here you go. It's kind of... I'm gonna do this one more time. I'm just gonna have another look. Yeah, and it seems like, it seems like you can see just fine, perfectly normal. We are gonna do a depth perception test. We'll start off easy, and then make it a little more complicated. So, can you just tell me which two fingers are closer to your face? That's correct. Yes, this is a finger. Good, this one, good, good. Image is closer to me, which, and... This one, good. Before we do your face exam. So, I'm going to take this, and just hold it up a little bit close to your face. And then, you'll just have to tell me whether point A or B is closer to your face. You might not see the points, because it's gonna be like this on your eyes, which can be a little blurring, almost. But, just whenever I tap, is point A closer to your face, or is point B... Good. Point A... or point B... Point A, good. What about point A... or point B? Is it closer to you? Point B, good. Point A. Or point B. Point B, good. Now. Let's listen. Let's listen. A, closer to you, or point B? Point B. Good. One more time. Point A. Or point B. Point B, point B, good, point A, point B. We are going to be... We are going to be perfect. Alright, well, I have no concerns with your eyes. Let me just... It seems like everything is working just as it should. So, now we are going to move on to the face exam. And here, I will give you a lymphatic drainage, lymphatic massage as well. So, I am going to be putting on gloves and touching your face. Um, these have no latex, so it won't bother your skin or anything. These have no numbness or tingling. That's the hospital thing. Just get any type of glove, eh? On your face as well, just to feel everything first, so relax your forehead, relax your jaw, relax your neck and shoulders. Let's just start off with... They drink a lot of water. Feels normal. No bumps or anything. Do you mind puffing out your cheeks for me? Just like that. I'm gonna try to squeeze them. Okay, good. Just resist. Perfect. And can you lift your eyebrows? Okay, good. Can you flare your nose at all? Your nostrils? Perfect. Now, open your eyes as wide as you can. Just open your mouth as wide as you can. Just gonna fill your jaw. It's okay, perfect. Alright, so everything is moving perfectly. That's such a good sign. If you had a numbness in anything, any part of your face, maybe you would move differently. Also, I don't have to do a numbness test, but I'm going to start off with your lymphatic massage. I'm just going to gently put this on your neck. Just relax your shoulders, and shut your eyes if you'd like. It feels nice, doesn't it? Yeah. It's a really firm brush. Just helps flush. Feel everything, right? Okay, I just wanna be sure. You can always book longer lymphatic drainages. We do them like 30 minutes to an hour a year. Yeah, this is like the hospital, like medical section, but we also have a spa section. It's really nice. All right, let's give you your test to see if you're numb anywhere. So I am gonna need you to shut your eyes. Just close your eyes and tell me whether you feel soft or a dull sensation, which would be wood, okay? So keep your eyes shut. I'm gonna mist your face very gently from a distance. I need you to tell me whether you feel cold or warm. I'm going to take this tool right here, and I'm gonna gently just put it all on your face. I'm gonna need you to keep your eyes shut. If at any point you notice any numbness where you don't feel it at all, let me know. We're gonna go all throughout your face. Yeah, and just, you know, be honest if you really don't feel it in a certain spot. It looks intimidating, but it's very gentle. It's a nerve sensitivity test, so you'll know if you don't feel it. Okay, let's start right here. Alright, so I don't notice anything wrong with your sense of touch, but now I'm just going to gently place my hand on certain spots of your face, and I just need you to tell me where I'm touching. So once again, eyes closed for this. Just tell me where I'm touching. So no numbness, no tingling, your sense of touch and movement is really helping. Let me just... I'll take note of that in a moment, actually, because I'm gonna keep these gloves on for checking inside of your ears. We want to make sure they're clean before giving an ear exam, so do you mind just looking that way? I'll start with this side. And then, it'll just be a little bit. Okay. We actually use this as a different... Yeah, it's not the same one. Let me show you. This one I used for your phase exam. These are actually ear cleaners, little picks. Don't worry, it's fully clean. I'm just gonna be cleaning out and just scooping a little bit. So... Just to clean this side. So, now we are ready for the hearing test. I'm just going to start off with getting close to your ears, and just tell me when my gloves stop making noise, okay? All right. Please exam real quick. Proceed. The nerve is working perfectly, and, you know, your physical health, and make sure your senses are intact. So, I'm gonna need you to tell me when you don't hear the frequency anymore. So we'll edit and then put it ear to ear to tell me when it stops, okay? Alright, and you can keep your eyes shut for this replay. They're doing amazing. As you know, this entire time we have been testing your hearing through whispering, and you haven't really said what or needed to mean a repeat thing, so I can tell that your ears are good. But I'm just going to be doing a little tapping test, and I need you to tell me how many times you hear. Now, can you repeat these words back to me? Sun, 50... All right. Well, I have no concerns with your hearing as well. So, let's take note of this. All of your senses are working perfectly. Sense of smell, great. Impressive with your sense of smell. And eyesight is good. If you notice any changes or any more dryness, I highly recommend just artificial tears for dryness. And then, maybe limiting screen time sometimes. Turning down your brightness or changing it to one that's more friendly, instead of just blue light, because I noticed that can dry out your eyes. Yeah. And then your touch is great. Your hearing is perfect. Good sense of taste. Good. All right. Well, like I said, I have no concerns. It was such a pleasure. And I hope to see you back here again. Your cranial nerve is working perfectly, and your physical health seems to be in top shape. Yes, my pleasure. I hope to see you next time. All right. Have a good... Hello. Thank you so much for waiting. My name's Dr. Haley. Nice to meet you. You're just here for your eye exam, correct? Okay, great. Let's get you checked in. So, can you just spell your first and last name for me? I see you right here, you are right on time. Okay, so you're just getting a basic eye exam, including the pupil dilation. Yeah, okay, so we'll just do that at the end so that your eyes aren't sensitive and you don't get a headache or anything, but can you just confirm your date of birth before we get started? Excuse my congestion, I have a little bit of allergies. It's the firmness and the heat, so I'm not sick or anything. I definitely, I take off work if I'm sick. Yeah, of course. I just don't want to get you worried or anything, because I'll be up and close and a little bit personal while I do your eye exam, but okay. So, excuse my voice. Okay, so looks like you've had an eye exam year before. Yeah. Oh, you got the cranial nerve exam with it. That's amazing. Are there any updates to your chart? Yeah, like any changes in vision, any blurry vision or any pain in your eyes. What brings you in today? Just want to make sure everything's, you are so, what's it called, what's the word? On top of your health, because I see that you've been here for multiple cranial nerve exams, as well as physical checkups, just to be proactive. Yeah, that's really good. Okay, so. But no concerns, no pain, or new blurry vision. And are you still wearing your contacts? All right, just so we can see. I'll have to update those and any glasses that you wear. Okay. And let me just take a look. Are you allergic to latex gloves? We won't be using those anyway. What about nitrile? Okay, now that you're aware of. Perfect. And allergic to any eye drops. Okay, do your eyes get dry often? Okay. Do you put hydration drops in? Any dryness today? Yeah, we can always put them in, excuse me. We can always put them in before we do your eye exam so that your eyes don't get more sensitive, you know? Because we use lights and everything, and you'll have to keep your eyes open for not so long. You can blink whenever, but you'll have to keep them open and focused and everything. So if you'd like that, we can do that. Let's see. Would you like to book another appointment within the next couple months or so? Okay, yeah, you're right. Let's see how your eyes are today, and then we'll go from there. Six, I think we are ready to begin. I see you didn't get the in-depth color, the color blindness test. Did you? Okay, I guess, I guess she didn't take any notes of that. Yeah, we have a... It's for color deficiency, so we'll be doing this today. Have you ever... It's like these little... No? Okay, good. Well, that's good. Then we can look more in depth to your colors and the way that you perceive colors. Yeah. And do you usually get any headaches to bright lights? Any sensitivities? Okay. I will be shining a bright light in your eyes. If at any time you notice any pain or discomfort or you want to break, we can always do that. Of course. You're nervous. Oh no, it's okay. I have been working here for so long. I've seen all of the eye types. Yeah, so even if you do bad, we have something for it. The unknown, yes, anytime I used to go to the doctor, I used to get nervous as well. I'm all pissed. Here, let me take this off real quick. We have these calming gummies we offer to our patients. They just have some supplements to help you relax a little bit more. Yeah, I love giving them because typically people get nervous for any doctor appointment, so this will help take the edge off. Here, do you want to reach into the bag? Cause I don't want my gloves on. Yeah, you smell them, smell delicious, here you go. Just take a two. All right, perfect. Okay, so, it's a mixed berries and cream flavor. It's delicious. It's hard working here, it's really hard not to eat them. I'm gonna start off with just looking inside of your eyes. Do you mind just looking at my nose? I'm gonna hold your eye open. Just look at my nose. Shine this light. Just taking notes on my own. Yeah, make sure your eyes are nice and... Okay. All right, I'm gonna hold it up one more time. I'm just gonna turn this light. Just look at me. Am I just looking to your right? Too late. There's nothing wrong. I'm just, I want to take notes on every single test that we do, just to be sure everything is updated for your future visit. All right, so I'm just gonna take a look at your lower water line. Just your lower lash line. Have you ever had any styes on the lower water line? And I won't touch your lashes or anything, just a slight little movement, and just look straight. Keeping your eyes closed for a moment, I'm just gonna touch. Hold on, let me just make sure. So, now keep your eyes closed, and, you know, refresh from the light. But just tell me when you see the light over your closed eyelid. So, you might notice it, you might not. Let's just see. Tell me when you see the light. You did amazing, you can open your eyes now. And I'm just gonna have you look at my nose and tell me when you see the light in your peripheral vision, okay? Not like the actual light, but just the actual light. Okay, wait, let me just... Okay, so look at my nose or my five head, and just tell me when you see it. All right. So Ed, do you have any floaters in the corner of your eye? Like when your eye moves, do you notice a shadow that follows? So keep looking at me. We're gonna take a break from the light. And just tell me when you see the tip of my finger, okay? It's gonna be a little small, so just look at me. Just nod your head when you see it. I had a time, and I just need you to tell me how many fingers I'm holding up, okay? All right, let's start with this eye right here. Just tell me how many fingers. Okay, and once again, tell me when you see my fingertip. You're just gonna look straight, okay? Just with the one eye. Just tell me when you see my fingertip. Can you see the light? Now we're just gonna cover up this eye and tell you how many fingers I'm holding up. Do you have any figures I'm holding up? And look straight into the stomach when you see the light. Perfect, and once again, I'm just gonna cover this eye. Tell me when you see my fingertip, okay? So, the peripheral vision, to both eyes, you got everything correct. Yeah. Must be good. Take a look at how your eye traces. So, I'm just gonna ask you to follow this light for me. I'm gonna back up a little bit, okay? And don't look at anything but the light, okay? Just follow the light. Regardless of any distractions. Amazing, yeah. Your eyes are tracing evenly with the light, so it's good. I'm just gonna speed up a little bit. All right, amazing. So, next, we're gonna test your colors. Okay, so I'm gonna take these gloves off. Make it colored light, and then we'll move into... Do you mind just telling me what color this is? Let's go there. See how it reflects off my hand? Perception test. So, we'll get to the book in a moment, but I almost, every patient that comes by, I almost always forget this test. So, let's do that before I forget. Okay, so what I'm gonna do, I'm just gonna put this close to your face, and you'll have two points, point A or B, and I just want you to tell me which point is closer to your face, okay? All right, so let's start with point A, or point B, which one's closer to you? Point A, good, point A. Is point A closer to you? Or point? Is point A closer to you? Or point B? Point B, good. What about point A? Right now, try to see which one's closer to my face, okay? Point A. Let's test with the colors. So, what color is this? Yeah, it looks like it somewhat changes, to be honest. What about this one? Let's go through all the colors. Now I just need you to tell me which light is closer to you, okay? Which one is closer to me? Wait for me to swallow it down. To your side. Haley Gutierrez, yeah, you can blink. Do you notice your eyes having more of a strain when it comes to looking at blue lights or clear lights? Blue. All right. So, let's see. Perception, did really good. So far, so good. No concerns, got all the colors. How are your eyes feeling? Okay, so, I am just gonna test the blue light one more time, so I'm just gonna shine this light in your eyes, and I just need you to look at me, okay? How are you guys feeling? Alright. Typically, if you're on your phone a lot, or the computer, I would recommend getting some blue light glasses, because I did notice your eyes are a little more red. Are you feeling more tired at all? Just I, okay. So that might be the cause of minor headaches, or the dry eyes even, just a little bit of eye strain from blue light. So, I'm just gonna send you home with some blue light blockers. Yeah, we just shipped them to your house, so I'll ask for your shipping address at the end, but let's do that color test. So, we're just gonna go through this little book right here, and you're just gonna have to tell me what number you see. It should be fairly easy if you're not color blind, but it might be a little hard. So, just at first glance, what number do you see right here? These two numbers. These numbers. What do you see right here? Just do you see right here? Do you see these numbers? Yeah. Is the lighting good? Is it too? Okay, just want to be sure it's low too, because I can always make these lights get a little brighter. What about this? What numbers do you see right here? Good, you shouldn't see any numbers. I'm just gonna need you to trace with your finger the green. Just follow the shape, okay? I'm gonna put it right there, I'm just gonna look at you. Close, yeah. All right, perfect, and just follow this one with your finger. Do you see any numbers right here? Okay, good, you shouldn't. So once again, just start on the side, and just follow with your other finger. I'll just trace these again. Good. And this one. Okay, so you can really differentiate between the lines. I don't know if you see any numbers right here. Okay, I just want you to just tell me the colors that you see on each one instead of following it, because this one's a little more chaotic. Just tell me the colors that you see. Start with this one right here. Perfect, same with this one. Starting right here, I'm just tracing the green. Trees, this way, this X to this X, the green. Let me just take note of this real quick. Let's listen. Do you see any numbers? Okay. Start on this X, follow to this X. Perfect. And start on this X, follow to this X. Okay, and what colors do you see on this page? Last but not least, this is to really test if you're color blind. This should be the easiest if you are not. Just follow X to X. All right. Perfect. You are not colorblind, so you got all of these right. There was almost a little mess up on one, but I could have also messed that up. Okay. The perception is good, your color is ability to follow the light, and distractions, and... last but not least, I'm gonna put eye drops in your eyes, and just take a look closely with this doll right here. Just a look behind your eye and your optic nerve and all of that. So, just get some gloves. How are your eyes feeling, though? Okay, so, this is going to dilate your pupils. So, if you notice any blurry vision, do you have sunglasses with you? You brought them? Okay, good. That's it. So smart, because we do offer sunglasses, but I know that you have gotten your eyes dilated before, and that you, um, knew you were gonna get this done. So, thank you so much for bringing them. And your pupils should return back to normal within four hours or so. You might be sensitive to light. How far away is your home? Okay, that's good. All right, so, put your sunglasses on when you drive. And if you notice any extreme headache, I would recommend, you know, getting in the darkest room possible, keeping your eyes closed, and just relaxing for the rest of the night. You should feel calm from the gummies, so, yeah, good. And here, take the, you can take the whole bag if you'd like. Yeah, you can get them on Amazon, the TikTok shop, as well as the store page, which would be savespace.store. But on Amazon, it arrives in, like, a day or so, so two days, if you have time. Let me just mix this up. So you're probably gonna want to go home and take a nap anyway, just to relax, which is good for after this high exam. You've earned it. Yeah. I'm just going to. That's okay, that's normal. Just give it a couple of seconds. How are you feeling? Okay, your eyes look beautiful. Alright. I bought this big magnifying glass. Oh yeah, feel free to blink, that's okay. Sorry, I know that's really bright. Let me actually turn that off. That must hurt your eyes, didn't it? Yeah, I didn't mean to click that. You see just fine. Hold this in front of your eyes again. Do you mind telling me when this eye chart gets clear? Let me bring it closer and closer. It's clear. Okay, so you can read each row. All right, can you just read the bottom row for me? Let's do this eye chart. So I'm just gonna point at each row slash letters. Just tell me what you see, okay? All right, what is this letter? All right, can you read this row? Perfect, put the second row down. All right, it's perfect. What about this third row? Read this row. Destroy your past. Can you read the bottom row? Okay, well, you did absolutely amazing. Yeah, you might wanna put your sunglasses on. It was such a pleasure. Yes, you did perfect at everything. There's just little tiny things that were not the biggest deal at all. Like the eye chart and everything, but you don't need any upgrade and prescription glasses or anything like that. But can I just get your address? Um, is it the same as... Okay, it's changed. All right, what is the address? I'm gonna send some blue light glasses. Yeah, they should arrive, honestly. Let me see what time it is. They should arrive today, actually, within a couple hours, but they might arrive tomorrow morning. Eyes feeling, I know I've asked that multiple times, we just have to be sure. Okay, good. Yeah, definitely need to dim the lights. Okay, well, I'll just rub this off, that everything looks good. Well, it was such a pleasure giving you that eye exam. I think your eyes are fantastic. A lot better than the average. Yeah, no problem. And I hope to see you here again soon. Of course, make sure, rest your eyes, close them if you'd like, wear sunglasses for sure, while you're driving home. Yeah, no problem. I hope you have a beautiful rest of your night. Did you book an appointment? Great, what is your name? You're just here for a general physical checkup, as well as a scalp check and treatment. Okay, and then the face exam, correct? All right, perfect. So we'll just be going through your vitals, doing a little eye exam, checking your skin, your ears, inside of your throat, and most importantly, like the face and scalp. Um, this is just a general checkup, like I said, to make sure if you're just healthy. So are you ready? Okay. Before we get started, I just have a couple questions. So I see your name here and your address. Can you just confirm your date of birth? Are you allergic to anything? It's latex gloves, Stephanie. Okay, so, we will start the ear test today, just to make sure. Yeah, so, it's really easy, actually. We just swipe some allergens on your arm, so not your face or anything, and it's very little concentrations of it. So it'll just slightly turn red if you're allergic to it. Seeing your contacts for glasses. Concerns with your skin. What is sensitivity? Any specific spot? Skin overall, okay. And what about your scalp? What is your current skincare routine like? Shampoo to use. Do you have any triple hearing? Okay. We like to whisper throughout this, just to kind of gauge how your ears are. It's a really interesting clinic, actually. People find it very relaxing. Sometimes they want to fall asleep to it. Yeah. But we like to whisper to keep it quiet and hear how you respond to the whispering. If you say, what a lot, it's kind of like an ear exam all throughout. Yeah. Let's listen. All right. So, let's see. We'll start with your vitals. All right, so I'm just going to begin with listening to your heart and your lungs. Do you smoke at all? The weather's getting nicer, so that'll be nice. Get outside more. Some vitamin D. Yeah. And on that note, do you take any supplements or vitamins? Yeah, those are actually supplements, calming supplements. They're really nice. Okay. Yeah, actually, you know what? We, um, we sell these on Amazon. They're just calming gummies, as well as, um, SafeSpace.store, so you can get them there. You should feel it in a little bit. Just, like, relaxation. It's very gentle. Yeah, it won't make you drowsy or anything. There's no melatonin, so, um, let me see. But you take... Are you on any medication at the moment? Just take vitamin D, okay. Do you drink a lot of water? Any hydration? One moment. Just a second. So, I'm just going to begin with listening to your heart, and I will listen to your lungs. So, I just need you to breathe normally for me. So, I will listen. Just breathe normally. Am I taking a deep breath? Okay, just another one.

Speaker 1:
[119:59] Perfect. And let's listen to this long, just take a deep breath. To your back, so just breathe normally for this one. What's this into your stomach while we're at it? Just breathe normally. I'm going to take your blood pressure, so we'll just put this around your wrist. Do you care which wrist it is? This one? Okay. All right, it is going to squeeze your wrist. Let me... A little squeeze. Okay, I'll just keep this a moment. Yeah, it feels a little bit uncomfortable sometimes. I never really liked getting my blood pressure done, but I like this. I prefer this one over the arm one on your top arm. Normal range. Yeah, that's really good. And I'm gonna get your rate in your oxygen levels, so I'm just gonna put this on your ring finger. I'll just do this finger right here. Okay, and just relax your arm, and just hold it straight. And then, Mitch, tell me your heart rate and your oxygen. Oh, it's already done.

Speaker 2:
[122:54] Okay.

Speaker 1:
[122:55] Perfect. The normal resting range, 97 oxygen level. Good.

Speaker 2:
[123:22] Let's listen.

Speaker 1:
[123:34] Seven, good. Cold symptoms or food like symptoms. Let's actually put this keyboard away.

Speaker 2:
[124:10] I don't need that anymore.

Speaker 1:
[124:13] And how are you feeling overall? Do you have any physical concerns or...? Do you notice at any time when you get the headaches? I've been using my phone a lot, with like full brightness or anything. Because sometimes I notice, like, with technology, I'm making cars' headaches that stem from the eyes, and that's kind of like you said, stemming from right there. That's what it could be, but...

Speaker 2:
[125:17] Then again, we'll have a look. Of course, I'll just keep it slow.

Speaker 1:
[125:28] Alright, so I'm going to start with just looking inside of your mouth. So, do you mind just sticking out your tongue? Do you hold any neck tension or posture tension? Just relax your shoulders. So, but that's really cool. Yeah. You're definitely making such a difference. Must be really busy all the time. I'm crazy, just, you know, throughout the day, check in with your posture, and just try to relax, and you know, if you're on the computer a lot, just really try to bring your chin in and drop your shoulders.

Speaker 2:
[127:17] And relax your forehead.

Speaker 1:
[127:20] Remember, throughout the day to relax our face muscles. That could be the headaches, you know, tension headaches and stress. We kind of hold a lot of tension in our head without realizing sometimes, so make sure to unclench your jaw. I'm just gonna feel the first time here. Before we proceed with the medical exam, do you mind if I give you a little lymphatic drainage? Yeah, it's just this brush, and I'm just gonna brush down to kind of help with the lymph nodes, and just make sure you're drinking a lot of water. This side. Would you like me to clean them today? Might as well, yeah. Sometimes, when we use Q-tips, we can push the wax deeper into the ear. So, I will be using these, they're pointed ones. I'm just gonna kind of scoop it up. I'll be having a look inside of your eyes in a moment. So I am going to change my gloves, actually, for sanitary purposes. We're not gonna do an eye exam, but I'll take a look inside, and... Have you had an eye exam recently?

Speaker 2:
[134:25] Okay.

Speaker 1:
[134:27] Yeah, I'd recommend getting your eyes checked every once in a while, just to kind of see how much your vision has changed, or if at all. Inside of your eyes, I will be shining a light. You don't have to look at the light, just look at me, because it's gonna be a little bright. It's gonna be a little bright.

Speaker 2:
[135:26] Just gonna try a little bit.

Speaker 1:
[135:27] Just look inside. Do you have any styes on your waterline? Blink, blink, blink. Okay, and I am just going to quickly do a peripheral vision test. So just look at me and tell me when you see the light in your vision. Okay, just look at me. Do you mind following the light? I'll tilt it down so it won't be a sprite. Just follow it. So your right movement is spot on. I'm going to take a little moment, but I'm just going to have a deeper look inside of your eyes. So, this will be a little bright. I'm going to shine it in your eye. And just have a look. It's steady, so just look right here for me. So, I might... I'm gonna first examine your face, but I have these. Cleansing wipes. They're just eyelid and eyelash cleansing wipes. Not that your eyelids or eyelashes are dirty or anything. I just like to recommend these to all my patients. Cause sometimes when we're washing our face, we're not really, you know, getting deep into the eye, cause soap and everything, everyone avoids the eyes. Even if you go over, these are just perfect for cleaning the eyelashes. So that they can stay clean for the eye to flush out any debris or anything like that, or preventative of styes and everything. So, do you mind if I do this? Clean your eyes. Okay, we'll do it in a moment, but I'm gonna examine your face first. So, you can keep your eyes shut for this. Because I'll be having a look at your eyelids as well, and I'll be shining a bright light in your face. So, I'd recommend close. I'm just gonna gently touch to... See this light sensitivity? Just a little bit red, nothing crazy. It's when I release pressure from my hands. There's a mole right here, it's so tiny. I haven't really used anything, so. Anyway, let's see. Gently touch your face. I'm gonna get some measurements just to see if the proportions are even, although I'm not noticing any raised bumps or unevenness, and I had you move your facial features, so. No numbness or dinks. Let's write something down if it's in the... We'll do a numbness test. We'll do two of them, a nerve sensitivity test, as well as this soft or tall. So, I need you to keep your eyes closed for this test and tell me whether you feel. Just tell me where you feel this. We're going to use this tool. I know it looks intimidating, but here, you can feel it. Yeah, it's not sharp or anything. It's very subtle. And I'm just going to see if you have any numbness in your face, and just tell me if something feels off. Okay, I'm just gonna gently roll it on your face, okay? I feel cold or warm with this mist. It's gonna be a gentle mist. I don't notice any abnormalities with your face or skin. I see the little slight sensitivity, but I would just recommend a barrier support cream or a serum, or you can do a vitamin C serum, because it kind of restores the collagen in the face sometimes, or collagen as well. Yeah, but do you mind if I use these on your eyes? It just has tea tree oil hyaluronic acid. I'm just gonna gently, it'll feel really nice, actually. It's nice and cold and your eye feels even cleaner after. How does that feel? That I love it, personally. I use them every day, yeah.

Speaker 2:
[151:39] Once again, just look up.

Speaker 1:
[152:24] Now, we are going to do the allergy test. This will not be too long. I'm just gonna make some markings on your arm, and then put an allergen on each spot, and then I'll just see if it turns red or anything.

Speaker 2:
[152:41] Okay.

Speaker 1:
[152:42] Let me just, just in case. Just in case it turns red. Are you ready? Okay, which arm would you like?

Speaker 2:
[152:56] This one?

Speaker 1:
[153:05] Just make some markings. Six. Just gonna wait it out and see if your arm turns red. If you notice any pain or burning, just let me know, but it's so little, I don't think you would. We're just looking for, of course, the redness. I can use this other side, and just dip it in this one. Let's use this other side to bend this. Feelings, you're feeling okay? Good. I don't see any redness so far, so. That is a good sign. All right, so we'll just give that one moment. Haley Gutierrez, you're correct, you do not have any allergies. Let me just... put this allergy away. So I'm just gonna spray your arm and just wipe that off. This is an alcohol spray.

Speaker 2:
[156:42] Just. Okay, perfect.

Speaker 1:
[157:12] You do not have any allergies. I'm just gonna write that down real quick. Just to, from next time when you get a medical exam, to make sure that that's confirmed, so that they can see it in your charts. All right, now, we're going to do that lice check, scalp check-in treatment. So, you said that the itchiness is a little bit more close to your forehead and like the front of your scalp.

Speaker 2:
[157:56] Nothing in the back?

Speaker 1:
[157:57] Okay, let's start with just... Let's see, where's mine? So let me just turn these white. Easy, slight redness, but no lice or anything, no dandruff, just a little bit of full redness. It might be, it looks a little dry. I'm just going to look towards the middle. Right, where you described, like, the post right there. Nothing on the outside, no run this or anything. It's mainly just the center. Okay, so I'm going to put a little bit of this tea tree oil in your hair, if that's okay with you. Okay, let's just start with the center. This side. And then we'll have this sent home with you. It's just going to help moisturize your scalp a little bit more. Scrap it in with this, so it gets into your scalp. Just in this section over here. I'm just at the base. Screw that. I have messed up here a little bit. Do you mind if I brush back? Okay, I'm just gonna brush it back to make it nice and soft. So, I'm just going to, like I said, send you home with this. I would just use it once a day, because it's very hydrating. You can use it at nighttime, or, you know, in the morning, but it does leave a little oil. But if you're a scalp, if you notice it not being as itchy, you can stop using this. Yeah, it's just a little dry. There you go. All right. Well, that is it for your medical exam. Other than, you know, a little bit of redness, you're perfectly healthy. Yeah, let me just get you checked out here. I will send you all my just a thing note. Some tea tree oil. I think that's what's causing these headaches, and then tension, you know, stress. Yeah, and holding a lot of tension in your face and head. So, let me see. So, I would also recommend, you know, for those headaches, these calming gummies.

Speaker 2:
[167:45] They're not gonna...

Speaker 1:
[167:46] They're not promised to solve your headaches, but they're just really good for taking the edge off, extra relaxation and calmness. And like I said, you can take these, they don't have melatonin, so you can take them during the day, going to work, they'll just help you relax a little bit more, and you can take them before sleep as well.

Speaker 2:
[168:10] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[168:11] And I think that, you know, with the Oshawa content, it's gonna help with stress over time, if you take them consistently, every day. So if you get some of those, if you want, of course, I'm just gonna recommend them in the chart, and add them to your supplement list. So, like I said, you can get those on Amazon. Sadly, this hospital, we can't send you home with them, or, you know, send them to your house or anything, but you can get them on Amazon. Yeah. These are good. Your scalp, your hair looks really healthy. Yeah. Just a little dryness. And then your face is... Facial sensations are working. Okay. Perfect. And then I just recommend a full eye exam, if you want. Just to get it checked up and see if there's any changes. Of course. All right. Well, my name is Dr. Haley, by the way. Nice to meet you. It was such a pleasure. You're very healthy, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your night. And I hope to see you again, of course. All right.
