Speaker 1:
[00:03] Conan O'Brien Needs A Fan. Wanna talk to Conan? Visit teamcoco.com/callconan. Okay, let's get started.

Speaker 2:
[00:13] Hey everybody. Normally we would have a fan interview in this slot on this particular day, but this is no normal day because it'll be a little different. Sona, I'm told, has brought me a gift, Sona.

Speaker 1:
[00:31] I do. It's something I've been wanting to give you for a very long time. And I think because the Oscars are done, everything's more chill, it's the right time to do it. So I just went to the store and I took the liberty of just buying you a lot of edibles.

Speaker 3:
[00:47] Edibles.

Speaker 2:
[00:50] Okay, now this is real.

Speaker 1:
[00:52] Edibles, edibles, edibles, edibles.

Speaker 2:
[00:55] Yes, yes, that's terrific when we chant things. Best use of a podcast, random, mindless chanting.

Speaker 1:
[01:05] So let's attack this head on.

Speaker 2:
[01:08] I've been, I don't really do anything.

Speaker 1:
[01:11] I know you don't.

Speaker 2:
[01:14] And I used to enjoy some wine, but I don't even do that anymore.

Speaker 1:
[01:19] Yeah.

Speaker 2:
[01:19] And so I just keep cutting things out of my life. And I've been a little intrigued lately because you've always preached the positive qualities.

Speaker 1:
[01:30] I have.

Speaker 2:
[01:31] Of edibles.

Speaker 1:
[01:32] Yes.

Speaker 2:
[01:32] And I never did it, never tried it, but you have said that Conan, more than anyone you know, you think I would benefit from these.

Speaker 1:
[01:44] I think so. I got, I mean, I went, I went. I did.

Speaker 2:
[01:49] That's a lot.

Speaker 1:
[01:50] I got you quite a bit.

Speaker 2:
[01:51] Oh my God.

Speaker 1:
[01:53] I took into consideration your height and your ginge, gingeness.

Speaker 2:
[01:57] We have to explain. I am a redhead. Redheads are, whenever I go to the dentist, they shoot me up full of Novocaine and then they go to drill and I don't feel any of the Novocaine and they say, Oh right, red hair. So they obliterate my nervous system.

Speaker 1:
[02:12] Yeah.

Speaker 2:
[02:12] So what is the story here?

Speaker 1:
[02:14] I got you a bunch, some that will help you sleep. My favorite brand is Camino.

Speaker 2:
[02:19] Okay. What are you trying to get a plug?

Speaker 1:
[02:21] I'm trying to get them to send us a lot. I'm trying to get a lot for you.

Speaker 2:
[02:24] Tell me what is so good about Camino and pass these on down.

Speaker 1:
[02:28] So, okay. So this one, for instance, is for energy.

Speaker 2:
[02:31] Energy. Now, do you think I need energy? I'm getting, Eduardo, you're giving this a hard pass on energy.

Speaker 1:
[02:37] No, no, no, no. Wrong one.

Speaker 2:
[02:38] It says tropical burst.

Speaker 1:
[02:40] Yeah, they taste good. And then some just make you feel good. So that one makes you feel good.

Speaker 2:
[02:46] I've never felt good. What's that all about?

Speaker 3:
[02:48] What's it like?

Speaker 2:
[02:51] I think I made a joke, but I also might not have made a joke.

Speaker 4:
[02:54] Yeah, there's a single tear coming down.

Speaker 1:
[02:56] Oh my God, Conan. No, you've felt good. Like things will be funny to you that have never been funny before.

Speaker 2:
[03:02] Things are always funny to me that no one else thinks is funny. Yeah, but also I think I might be made of gummy.

Speaker 1:
[03:09] I think that a part of me thinks you should eat some of these and then watch some of your old comedy bits or even your new comedy bits because you make comedy for potheads. And then there's a chill one that's just going to mellow you out.

Speaker 2:
[03:23] This is going to mellow me out and I'm going to be one chill dude. This is called Wild Berry. I just go to the flavors, that's stupid. Camino Chill. Now, okay, you've handed me Camino Exhilarate.

Speaker 1:
[03:35] Exhilarate.

Speaker 2:
[03:35] Which Eduardo thinks is a hard pass.

Speaker 1:
[03:37] No, the energy is a hard pass.

Speaker 2:
[03:39] Eduardo, hold on. I'm keeping all of these.

Speaker 3:
[03:41] I think the calm one is the one you should start with.

Speaker 2:
[03:43] The chill? No, Eduardo, maybe you should talk to me a little bit and be honest. Why the calm one?

Speaker 3:
[03:49] I mean, I'm assuming it's like an Indica based, right?

Speaker 1:
[03:52] Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 2:
[03:53] Are you a pharmacist? What does it mean? I didn't realize you were this.

Speaker 3:
[03:58] I just think it's going to mellow you out enough where you'll find everything enjoyable and funny.

Speaker 1:
[04:04] Yeah, that's true. It'll just chill you out a bit.

Speaker 4:
[04:06] We're all going to ask for raises once he takes his place.

Speaker 1:
[04:08] I know. We'll be like, hey, Conan, what about the raise you're talking to me about? And so there's a lot of these that have something called THCV, which is supposed to give you a little pep in your step.

Speaker 2:
[04:19] A little pep in my step.

Speaker 1:
[04:20] And then some CBD, which just mellows you out.

Speaker 2:
[04:23] What's the difference between, I'm not kidding, I don't know the difference between THCV and, what's the other one?

Speaker 1:
[04:32] CBD.

Speaker 2:
[04:32] CBD, what's the difference between those?

Speaker 1:
[04:33] I understand it right. CBD is like when the component that makes you high is removed and it's just the part that makes you feel better, that has the healing property.

Speaker 2:
[04:43] Yeah, Blay, why don't you weigh in here?

Speaker 5:
[04:44] And it's kind of more like a painkiller body thing. CBD is more like that. And it's also CBD is supposed to make you, I think, more social, right?

Speaker 3:
[04:53] Well, that we don't mean.

Speaker 2:
[04:55] I mean, I talk to fire hydrants.

Speaker 3:
[04:57] Would you consider yourself an anxious person?

Speaker 2:
[05:00] Sure, I think I would.

Speaker 1:
[05:01] Let's look at it with that.

Speaker 2:
[05:02] I think I am on high alert all the time for potential dangers.

Speaker 3:
[05:08] So CBD would help.

Speaker 1:
[05:09] So this is just CBD and it says, may ease mental and physical stress. So maybe we try that one.

Speaker 2:
[05:17] So first of all, Sona, this is very caring of you.

Speaker 1:
[05:21] You're welcome.

Speaker 2:
[05:22] I know. And this is, what's this?

Speaker 1:
[05:25] That's a kiwi strawberry. It just sounded like a nice flavor, but that one still is CBD. So these, a lot of these are five milligrams, which you can try and I don't think that you will feel it.

Speaker 2:
[05:37] You don't think I'll feel anything.

Speaker 1:
[05:38] I don't think you'll feel five. I think you need to go for like 10.

Speaker 2:
[05:42] What do you, Eduardo?

Speaker 3:
[05:43] I think you should do 10 because you're tall.

Speaker 4:
[05:45] Adam's shaking his head. I strongly disagree. I think that you should, I don't think you should start with 10. I think-

Speaker 3:
[05:51] Start with five.

Speaker 4:
[05:52] When Eduardo asked if you're an anxious person, that also alarm bells went off because if you have too much at one time, I think your anxiety will go up.

Speaker 2:
[06:01] That's true.

Speaker 4:
[06:02] I think like starting really small to the point where maybe you have half of one of those five milligram things and then you, and then the worst case scenario is you say I didn't feel anything and then next time, maybe you go to five milligrams.

Speaker 3:
[06:12] I forgot your little bitch, so.

Speaker 2:
[06:18] Eduardo, that's a test. I'm no bitch. Look at me. What kind of bitch has tropical burst, mango chutney, wild cherry, wild berry? Doesn't sound like no bitch to me.

Speaker 1:
[06:41] Oh, my God.

Speaker 5:
[06:43] I strongly agree with Adam. Ten is my max. And you and I are the same height.

Speaker 2:
[06:49] Okay, well, first of all, you are a bitch.

Speaker 1:
[06:51] Yeah.

Speaker 2:
[06:52] So now, the fact that you're saying, I'm like you, Conan, makes me think maybe I am a bitch.

Speaker 3:
[06:59] Prove my point.

Speaker 1:
[07:00] Yeah.

Speaker 2:
[07:01] No, I'm sorry. So, wait. No, please go ahead. I didn't mean to...

Speaker 5:
[07:04] I was just going to say, 10 for me, if I do 10, I'm out for the night. That's it.

Speaker 2:
[07:10] What does that mean, out for the night? Like, you go to sleep?

Speaker 5:
[07:12] It means the word, like, things are funny. And then I'm really hungry. And then the world starts, I start to get kind of tunnel vision and I start to kind of forget what I'm doing. And then I just go straight to sleep. So it's like...

Speaker 2:
[07:24] And what's the quality of that sleep?

Speaker 5:
[07:26] I'm not lea... Great. Deep, deep, deep sleep. But I will say for me, there are these mints that I like. I like Camino. 2.5 for me is like, I'll do a 2.5 and just wait. Cause here's the other thing no one's telling you. It takes a while for the edibles to kick in. So don't take more. The rookie move is you take something, you're like, this isn't working. And then you take more and then this isn't working. And then you're super hot. So you take a little bit, you wait a half hour, and then you just see how it's going, and then you could take a little more. But step it up and step it down. For me, the best thing about edibles is, it's not like smoking where you have no idea how much you're taking. You know exactly how much you're taking. And I would use that to your advantage.

Speaker 1:
[08:08] That's true.

Speaker 2:
[08:09] And I just want to say, my shout out goes to Camino.

Speaker 5:
[08:14] Hold it up.

Speaker 2:
[08:25] This is, look, I don't know what I'm gonna do. I am, Sona, stop that.

Speaker 1:
[08:29] Okay, I just want so much free, so many free edibles.

Speaker 2:
[08:33] I just, you know, I want to be responsible. I'm a responsible person, and I'm painfully straight when it comes to-

Speaker 1:
[08:42] I know.

Speaker 2:
[08:43] Drugs and things like that.

Speaker 1:
[08:44] I know, but edibles, these are, I mean, these are legal now, and they're very regulated. It's not like I went to some dude on the corner and I was like, yo, hit me up, give me some, not hit me up, what am I doing? I can't even get my street lingo right. I wasn't like, hey, give me some edibles. These are very regulated. That one won't even get you high. These CBD ones, that won't even get you high. But I think I really want you to just take something, sit in front of your TV. I want you to watch Step Brothers. I love Step Brothers. Yeah, it's really funny when you're, it's even funnier when you're a little high.

Speaker 2:
[09:19] Okay.

Speaker 4:
[09:20] Would you rather try it in a group or by yourself for the first time?

Speaker 1:
[09:23] Yeah, we can all come over and all do it together.

Speaker 2:
[09:26] That's my nightmare. I don't want you guys around me when I'm in this altered state. I think I need to be alone. I think I need to be, well, actually, you need to come over to my house and you need to duct tape me to my chair, David.

Speaker 4:
[09:43] Again?

Speaker 1:
[09:45] What do you think you're gonna do?

Speaker 2:
[09:47] I don't know, but I don't wanna be, I might run around the neighborhood.

Speaker 4:
[09:50] I think you would love a historical documentary.

Speaker 5:
[09:53] I agree. The other thing I'll say is-

Speaker 2:
[09:54] A historical documentary?

Speaker 5:
[09:56] What might be fun is before you make a night of it and you could come up with a playlist beforehand of music you might want to listen to, go to the store and get some snacks, prepare this kind of snacks you want to eat.

Speaker 2:
[10:07] What's this snacks?

Speaker 5:
[10:08] Dude, you're gonna get hungry. You're gonna get some munchies.

Speaker 1:
[10:10] You've never heard of getting munchies?

Speaker 3:
[10:12] I think all you need is your guitar.

Speaker 5:
[10:14] No, I disagree, because I-

Speaker 2:
[10:16] What if my guitar is made of Doritos?

Speaker 5:
[10:18] No, can I just say a thing? I have partaken in marijuana before and I ended up with my-

Speaker 2:
[10:24] Oh, you don't say. With my- Wow. Hey, check out the nart. Tom, you're like a shaman. You're in a school ground right now. Hey, fellows, could you direct me towards the marijuana?

Speaker 5:
[10:39] And my friends and I tried to jam and we just ended up tuning our guitars for 45 minutes.

Speaker 3:
[10:44] I didn't say jam. I said just you and your guitar.

Speaker 5:
[10:47] You're still gonna end up tuning for 45 minutes.

Speaker 4:
[10:49] I'll order you Hailey Bieber smoothies so you have a lot ready.

Speaker 1:
[10:52] You're gonna be making music you think is genius.

Speaker 2:
[10:55] And you know what?

Speaker 1:
[10:56] It might be.

Speaker 2:
[10:57] It could be. Well, this could be, here's the problem, potential problem, that a calm, happy Conan is not productive. You know, that this whole thing dies. The podcast, maybe this is our last episode.

Speaker 1:
[11:13] You're not gonna be high all the time.

Speaker 2:
[11:15] I am. I'm gonna be in here with dreadlocks tomorrow. Bring a tie-dye shirt, listen to the Grateful Dead backwards.

Speaker 1:
[11:24] Tomorrow?

Speaker 2:
[11:25] Yeah, you guys are gonna be saying, hey, well, you know, we gotta get to work. Work, man. Don't let the man, don't let the man drag you down, man. I mean, these are, these may seem like very outdated stereotypes, but I think they're very current and cool.

Speaker 5:
[11:40] Yeah.

Speaker 1:
[11:40] Could we have a follow-up, please, once you try it?

Speaker 2:
[11:43] Yeah, I will.

Speaker 1:
[11:44] Will you really just tell us how you feel about it?

Speaker 2:
[11:46] Yeah.

Speaker 5:
[11:46] Okay.

Speaker 2:
[11:47] But I'm not encouraging others, unless it's Kamino.

Speaker 5:
[11:50] Yeah.

Speaker 2:
[11:55] Oh my God. No, I, this will be a whole, this will be a whole new chapter for me, potentially. It could be.

Speaker 1:
[12:03] Yeah, maybe it'll unlock things in your brain you didn't know were there before.

Speaker 2:
[12:07] I want those things locked.

Speaker 4:
[12:09] They're locked for a reason.

Speaker 2:
[12:11] There's a reason that that door has nine deadbolts on it. Let's not unlock it. All right, well, we'll see. I got some chill. I got some exhilarate. Put that on the sleep and energy. Yes.

Speaker 4:
[12:25] And don't mix and match. Don't take like one of each at once.

Speaker 1:
[12:27] Yeah, maybe no.

Speaker 2:
[12:29] All right. Well, I've never seen you guys more diligent about chemistry than you are right now.

Speaker 1:
[12:33] We all jumped in on this segment to offer our advice.

Speaker 2:
[12:37] I have to say, Adam, I kind of liken you to sort of a Michael Cera. You know what I mean? And so I'm a little... This doesn't fit my profile of you that you've partaken.

Speaker 4:
[12:52] I mean, this is the 2020s. This is where we are. Everybody partakes. I don't really like it socially, but before I go to bed or something like that, or before I watch something at home, yes, definitely.

Speaker 1:
[13:04] Yeah, sometimes I...

Speaker 2:
[13:05] Uh-oh, here he goes.

Speaker 5:
[13:07] I just think, I think to maybe make you not as worried about it, you might also really hate it and it might sharpen your anger, so it might be a good thing. I don't particularly love it, to be fair, because it just kind of makes me feel dumb.

Speaker 4:
[13:21] But also...

Speaker 5:
[13:21] I mean, dumber.

Speaker 4:
[13:22] The world is moving... I know you said you don't really drink wine anymore. The world in general, at least in America, is moving away from drinking, and this is, by a lot of accounts, just a healthier substitute.

Speaker 1:
[13:35] Yeah, if you don't like it, can you bring them all back?

Speaker 3:
[13:38] Yeah, don't just let them sit there.

Speaker 2:
[13:42] I don't know. I think with a brand as solid as Camino, I think I'm not going to be disappointed. And whatever, I'm available for sponsorship. I would be the worst sponsor, wouldn't I?

Speaker 1:
[13:57] You really would, yeah. I know, you would, yeah, you would.

Speaker 2:
[14:01] All right, well, onward, we'll find out, maybe in another installment, what happens. And if you read in the news that maybe my behavior has been a little out there, I was seen at a Starbucks naked, you'll know what happened.

Speaker 1:
[14:16] What are you talking about? You're not taking like LSD, you're taking low dosage edibles.

Speaker 2:
[14:22] Look, this is a gateway drug, you don't know that. I'll be on, I'll be on heroin in a week. And there goes the Camino sponsorship.
