Speaker 1:
[00:03] A Nickelodeon Original Podcast.

Speaker 2:
[00:14] Hey, Paw Pal, it's me, Ryder. We're so excited that you're joining us on the PAW Patrol today. We're here in the lookout right now, and... Do you hear that? That noise means there's some important news for us to hear. Let's take a listen.

Speaker 3:
[00:32] This is Haley Daily Loud and Clearin in your ear, reporting live from Jake's Mountain. I'm standing at the entrance of a newly discovered cave. The cave is an opening in the mountain that leads to a dark tunnel, but we don't know how deep this cave goes.

Speaker 4:
[00:52] I, Mayor Humdinger, am thrilled to announce that as the bravest mayor in the world, I shall explore this cave.

Speaker 3:
[01:01] Hmm, Mayor Humdinger, that seems dangerous. Caves can be narrow and have lots of twists and turns. Maybe the PAW Patrol should make sure it's safe before anyone else explores it.

Speaker 4:
[01:14] The PAW Patrol? Ha! Ha-lease! Lease! Lease! Ooh! This cave makes my voice echo?

Speaker 1:
[01:22] Echo? Echo?

Speaker 4:
[01:24] And I love the sound of my voice! Voice? Voice? La la la la! La la la la! Simply delightful! I'm going into this cave to hear more. Hmm, hello? Hello? H-hello?

Speaker 1:
[02:00] Hello?

Speaker 4:
[02:01] Uh-oh, I think I'm lost. Lost? Lost?

Speaker 1:
[02:06] Oh, wow, who could have seen this coming?

Speaker 3:
[02:11] I'll call the Paw Patrol.

Speaker 2:
[02:57] Thanks for calling, Haley Daily. We'll get Mayor Humdinger out of danger as soon as we can. Mayor Humdinger is lost in a cave and really needs our help. Will you help us? And it could be dangerous. For this mission, all need... Chase. Chase. Use the radar in your spy cruiser to find the mayor, and make sure you don't get lost in that cave.

Speaker 5:
[03:53] Super Spy Chase is on the case.

Speaker 2:
[03:56] PAW Patrol is on a roll.

Speaker 5:
[04:13] Do you want to ride with me and my spy cruiser? We'll go fast to get to Jake's Mountain, but we need to stay safe, so make sure you're buckled in. Then let's roll. You can help me clear the road by making siren noises. Wee-oo, wee-oo. Now you try. Wee-oo, wee-oo.

Speaker 3:
[04:40] Thank you.

Speaker 5:
[04:41] Now everybody will know we're coming. I Spy with my little eye, something tall and covered in snow. It's Jake's Mountain. And look, the cape. We're in the right place. It's so dark in this cave. Will you flip the switch in front of you to turn on the headlights? The lights on my Spy Cruiser are so bright. I can see everything. This cave is huge. Listen to that. I can hear my voice echo. Echo, echo. Try it out with me. On the count of three, say echo. One, two, three. That's right, we can hear Mayor Humdinger. He went this way. Come on. Whoa, this cave is bigger than a football field. Maybe even bigger than a football stadium. We still can't find Mayor Humdinger. Let's listen and try to hear him singing. Did you hear him? I did too, but I can't hear where his voice is coming from because of the echo. His voice is echoing off of the hard rocks in the cave, but there's so many twists and turns, we don't know where the mayor is. I have an idea. I can use my super sense of smell to track him down. Let me see if I can pick up the mayor's scent. I think I can smell Mayor Humdinger, but I'm not sure. I think you're right. Huh?

Speaker 4:
[07:20] Who's there? You know, I smell almost as good as I sing.

Speaker 5:
[07:28] We found Mayor Humdinger.

Speaker 4:
[07:30] Chase, I see you brought a new member of the Faw Patrol with you. Hello to you.

Speaker 5:
[07:36] We heard you were lost in this cave, but everything is A-OK. Super Spy Chase is on the case.

Speaker 4:
[07:46] I'm not lost. I'm just enjoying the way my singing echoes. Echo, echo, echo! I know what you're up to. The Faw Patrol is here to silence my beautiful singing voice.

Speaker 5:
[08:04] That's not true, Mayor Humdinger.

Speaker 4:
[08:06] I will not listen to you unless you sing.

Speaker 5:
[08:13] Oh, no! Mayor Humdinger won't listen to us unless we sing. Will you help me sing to the mayor? Okay, on the count of three, sing with me. One, two, three!

Speaker 4:
[08:34] Oh, fine. I admit it. I'm lost in this cave, and I need... the Paw Patrol's help.

Speaker 5:
[08:43] It's okay, Mayor Humdinger. The super spy radar on my spy cruiser can help us find our way out of this cave. The radar pings to tell us how deep underground we are.

Speaker 4:
[08:53] Spy radar? I don't need radar to tell us how deep underground we are. We are very deep underground.

Speaker 5:
[09:03] Press the button on the spy cruiser radar in front of you to try it. Oh, no. It's not working. Can you help me get this radar working? Let's try to fix it. Try pulling the lever next to you. Hmm. That didn't work. Maybe try pressing the button above your head. Wait. The button above your head makes a sound. Press that button again. Did you hear that? It sounded like bats. There must be bats living somewhere deep in this cave. Possum!

Speaker 4:
[09:57] B-b-b-bats? Oh, bats are scary.

Speaker 5:
[10:02] Bats aren't scary, Mayor Humdinger. Bats are cool. But it's important to leave bats alone. Don't pick up a bat if you find one on the ground. Bats live deep in caves like this one, and they can find their way around in the dark using something called echo location.

Speaker 4:
[10:20] Echo location? So, they can use echoes to help them find their location?

Speaker 5:
[10:25] That's right, Mayor Humdinger. Wait, that gives me an idea. The radar can help us find our way out by using echo location. Press the button above your head to make the sound. It's working. Great job. You really are a super spy. Come on. If you keep pressing the button above your head, we can find our way out of this cave. You're doing great. Keep pressing that button.

Speaker 4:
[11:11] That note, it's so pure, so beautiful, and it would be even better coming from my voice. PING!

Speaker 1:
[11:19] PING!

Speaker 2:
[11:21] PING!

Speaker 5:
[11:24] Mayor Humdinger, be careful.

Speaker 4:
[11:26] Me, me, me, me, me, me.

Speaker 5:
[11:27] Your voice is affecting the...

Speaker 1:
[11:29] Me, me, me, me, me, me....radar.

Speaker 5:
[11:35] Oh, no, Mayor Humdinger. You sang such a high note that it broke the radar. Now we can't use the radar's echo location.

Speaker 4:
[11:43] Oh. Hmm.

Speaker 5:
[11:45] I need your help. Try turning the knob to adjust the radar. It's not working. Now we're really lost.

Speaker 4:
[11:56] Dread it all!

Speaker 5:
[12:00] I don't know how we're going to find our way out of this cave.

Speaker 2:
[12:03] What are we going to do?

Speaker 5:
[12:06] It's so dark in this cave. I can't see anything. But maybe we can hear something that would help. Close your eyes. What do you hear? Do you hear anything that can help us? I can hear those bats again. They're somewhere deep inside this cave. Wait. We might not be able to use echolocation, but the bats still can. Mayor Humdinger, sing that low note again.

Speaker 4:
[12:53] Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.

Speaker 3:
[12:56] The bats are getting closer.

Speaker 5:
[12:58] If we make this cave rumble, the bats will fly out, and we can follow the bats out of here. Everybody needs to help, including you. Mayor Humdinger, keep singing that note.

Speaker 4:
[13:11] Sing? Me? Well, if you insist, then I must... Ahem.

Speaker 5:
[13:20] I'll use the engine on my spy cruiser. And you can move your feet. Keep moving your feet. I think it's working. Listen, can you hear the bats? They're getting close.

Speaker 1:
[13:37] Whoa!

Speaker 5:
[13:38] There's so many bats. The bats are flying out of the cave. Come on, let's roll. You can help me drive. Wow, you're doing great. Keep driving. Keep following those bats.

Speaker 4:
[14:05] Wow, that bat has a wonderful singing voice. Maybe I could sing that note.

Speaker 5:
[14:10] Not now, Mayor Humdinger. I spy with my little eye some light. The lights were almost out of this cave. Wait, what's that sound?

Speaker 2:
[14:29] Rubble on the double!

Speaker 5:
[14:32] Rubble, is that you? Thanks, Rubble. And look, I can see the entrance to the cave. We're free! Yippee!

Speaker 2:
[15:04] The Paw Patrol made this cave safe, so now everybody can have fun exploring without getting lost.

Speaker 4:
[15:10] Oh, the cave is even bigger. That means my voice will echo even more. We're free! We're free!

Speaker 5:
[15:20] We're free!

Speaker 4:
[15:20] Free! Free!

Speaker 2:
[15:23] Free! I think the bats are asking you to sing somewhere else.

Speaker 5:
[15:31] Thank you for helping us rescue Mayor Humdinger. Yeah!

Speaker 2:
[15:35] You were so brave.

Speaker 4:
[15:38] Oh, even I must admit, you did a wonderful job. Chase, Rubble, sing together with me now. Thank you!

Speaker 3:
[15:50] This is Haley Daily Loud and Clear and In Your Ear, reporting live from Jake's Mountain, where everybody in Adventure Bay is having fun exploring the new cave. Thanks, PAW Patrol!

Speaker 2:
[16:07] Welcome back to The Lookout, pups!

Speaker 5:
[16:10] You did it!

Speaker 2:
[16:11] Another successful rescue!

Speaker 5:
[16:13] I Spy with my little eye, someone who did a great job as a super spy. It's you!

Speaker 2:
[16:20] Yeah! Nice work!

Speaker 5:
[16:22] Mayor Humdinger was right about one thing. Singing in the cave was fun. We're here to help! Thank you so much for helping us on our mission.

Speaker 2:
[16:35] And whenever you're in trouble, just...

Speaker 5:
[16:38] Yelp for help!
