[00:03] A Nickelodeon Original Podcast.
Speaker 2:
[00:13] Hi, Paw Pal. It's me, Ryder. We're so excited that you're joining the PAW Patrol today. We're at the lookout right now because Mr. Porter is bringing his really big pumpkin to the fall festival. Let's listen and make sure he gets there okay.
Speaker 1:
[00:31] Uh-huh.
Speaker 3:
[00:32] Where in the wide world of winter white squash did all this snow come from all of a sudden? It's too early for snow. And it's the first day of the fall festival, too, when I make everyone my famous pumpkin spice smoothies out of the biggest pumpkin in my fruit stand. This year's pumpkin is so big, I could barely fit it on my truck. Hang on back there, pumpkin. Oh, that wind nearly blew me clean off the road. I'd better stop and make sure I've got my giant pumpkin tied onto the truck nice and tight. Can't have a beautiful pumpkin getting loose and rolling down the road. Let me see here. I'll just give these ropes a little tug, like this, and... Oh, there! That should do it. All nice and snug. This is one huge, gorgeous pumpkin that isn't going anywhere. The truck is slowly sliding on the fresh snow! No! No, no, no!
Speaker 4:
[01:56] No, no, no, no, no!
Speaker 3:
[01:59] If the truck doesn't stop sliding, it's going to run into that huge snow! Drift. Oh, looks like I'm going to need the PAW Patrol.
Speaker 2:
[03:11] The festival just won't be the same without Mr. Porter's huge pumpkin and his delicious pumpkin spice smoothies. So we've got to rescue Mr. Porter, his truck, and his giant pumpkin, and get them to the festival on time. For this mission, I'll need Everest. Everest, we'll need you to use your grappling hook to pull Mr. Porter's truck out of the huge snow drift. Chase, once the truck is out of the snow drift, we'll need you to use your megaphone and siren to clear the road of traffic while you hurry to the festival.
Speaker 5:
[03:50] Chase is on the case.
Speaker 2:
[03:52] No job is too big, no pup is too small. PAW Patrol is on a roll.
Speaker 4:
[04:12] I'm so glad you're helping the pups and riding along with me today, PAW Pal. This is a really important mission, and we need to get there fast. Can you squeeze the handle on my snow cat to help it go super fast? Squeeze the handle in five, four, three, two, one. Let's go! That's it! You got it! We were born to slide! Wow, PAW Pal! This morning when we woke up, there was no snow anywhere. But now there's snow all over the trees and the roads. Lucky for us with all this white snow everywhere, it should be easy to find a big, huge, gigantic orange pumpkin on a stuck truck by the side of the road. Let's look! Pumpkins are orange. Do you spy with your little eye something that's orange? I spy something orange! It's a great big pumpkin on a great big truck, halfway buried inside a great big snow drift! And there's Mr. Porter! We better let Chase know! Chase, great news! We found Mr. Porter's truck! Chase is on the case!
Speaker 5:
[05:42] I'll see you there!
Speaker 4:
[05:43] We're coming, Mr. Porter! Hang on! Time to make this snowcat go really fast! And I mean super duper fast! Okay, PAW Pal, you know what to do! Get ready to squeeze the handle of my snowcat! Ready, set, squeeze! PAWsome, that's it! Ice or snow? We're ready to go! Chase and I are here, Mr. Porter.
Speaker 5:
[06:25] Hi, Mr. Porter.
Speaker 3:
[06:26] You made it just in time. Whoo, what a relief it is to have the PAW Patrol here. We've gotta get my huge pumpkin to the fall festival before it opens.
Speaker 4:
[06:38] We're here to help. Paw Pal, can you help Mr. Porter by throwing out my grappling hook with me? All you have to say is, Ruff, ruff, grappling hook. Are you ready? Let's do it. One, two, three. Ruff, ruff, grappling hook. Oh, you were so close. Try again. I know you could get it this time. Ready? One, two, three.
Speaker 5:
[07:24] That time was even closer.
Speaker 4:
[07:27] One, two, three. Ruff, ruff, grappling hook. You got it. Way to go.
Speaker 3:
[07:40] Bullseye. Nice job.
Speaker 5:
[07:42] All right.
Speaker 4:
[07:43] Now all we have to do is put the snow cat in reverse and pull the truck and the pumpkin out of the snow drift. Stand back, everybody. Here goes. Off the trail, Everest won't fail. We need more muscles. Do you think you could help me pull the truck out of the snow drift? PAWsome! Okay, just grab hold of the grappling cable with both hands, then pull as hard as you can. Ready? Icer snow, here we go! Oh, it's still stuck. Looks like we're gonna need everybody for this mission. Chase, Mr. Porter, let's all grab hold of the grappling cable once more, then pull as hard as we can. Ready? Everybody, pull!
Speaker 3:
[08:58] We did it! My truck is unstuck. It's an unstuck truck again. We're saved!
Speaker 1:
[09:05] Hooray! Woohoo!
Speaker 4:
[09:07] Way to go, team! Great work!
Speaker 3:
[09:10] Well, I guess today turned out a lot better than I thought. Wait a minute. What's that noise?
Speaker 5:
[09:19] It's the wind. A really big wind. I spy with my little eye a big, big truck with a big, big pumpkin being blown into a big, big, big snowdrift.
Speaker 4:
[09:37] Again? Oh, no!
Speaker 3:
[09:40] My truck!
Speaker 2:
[09:41] Oh, no, no, no!
Speaker 3:
[09:44] My pumpkin!
Speaker 5:
[09:46] It's all right, Mr. Porter. We'll save your pumpkin.
Speaker 3:
[09:50] You will? Oh, why, of course you will. You're the PAW Patrol.
Speaker 5:
[09:57] Which is why at the end of the day, everything's going to be A-okay, Mr. Porter. Just try to relax and stay calm. I know. Let's all do some slow, deep breathing to help us settle down. We'll do it all together, like this.
Speaker 2:
[10:13] Everyone breathe in.
Speaker 1:
[10:15] One, two, three, four.
Speaker 4:
[10:19] Good.
Speaker 5:
[10:20] Now everyone breathe out.
Speaker 1:
[10:22] One, two, three, four.
Speaker 4:
[10:27] That's it. Once more. Everyone breathe in. One, two, three, four. Good. Now breathe out again. One, two, three, four. There. Feel better, Mr. Porter?
Speaker 3:
[10:46] As a matter of fact, I do. I really do.
Speaker 1:
[10:52] Ah.
Speaker 5:
[10:54] Ah!
Speaker 3:
[10:55] That's my truck! And we're still going to be late.
Speaker 5:
[10:59] I spy with my little eye. Way too much snow behind those truck tires. That's what's keeping Mr. Porter's truck in the snowbank. We need to blow that snow away while Everest pulls the truck out with her grappling hook at the same time. But we're going to need all of us to blow all that snow away and work together as a team.
Speaker 3:
[11:21] Good thing we practiced those deep breaths. PAWsome, OK, everyone, take a deep, deep, deep breath in. And then...
Speaker 4:
[11:32] Ice or snow, get ready to blow!
Speaker 5:
[11:41] I see the snow clearing. It's working.
Speaker 4:
[11:47] Once more, blow! We did it! The truck is out of the snow drift.
Speaker 5:
[11:59] Uh-oh.
Speaker 4:
[12:01] All that pulling loosened the ropes that were holding the pumpkin onto the truck.
Speaker 3:
[12:10] Look out! The pumpkin is rolling toward the edge of the road. The river? What do you mean, the river? My pumpkin is rolling into the river? But-but-but pumpkins can't swim! My beautiful pumpkin is in the river and floating away. Oh, now we'll never make it to the festival on time, and I'll never be able to make everyone my famous pumpkin spice smoothies. Oh, no.
Speaker 5:
[12:54] If we hurry, we can catch the pumpkin with my net. Everest, you and Mr. Porter follow us down to the river in the snowcat and Mr. Porter's truck.
Speaker 4:
[13:03] Got it.
Speaker 5:
[13:04] You and I can take my police car. We've got to move fast, so we'll need to use my siren. You'll need to open and close your hands to make my siren go. Are you ready?
Speaker 4:
[13:17] Great.
Speaker 5:
[13:18] Ready, get set, go.
Speaker 4:
[13:33] Eye-Spy with my little eye, a pumpkin! Even though we're on dry land, the pumpkin will be passing us in the river in just a couple of seconds.
Speaker 5:
[13:43] Time to launch the net. When I count to three, you push the big blue button and launch the net at the pumpkin. Got it? PAWsome!
Speaker 4:
[13:55] Here comes the pumpkin.
Speaker 5:
[13:57] Okay, get ready to push that button and launch the net on the count of three.
Speaker 4:
[14:02] Ready?
Speaker 5:
[14:03] One, two, three.
Speaker 4:
[14:13] Yeah, you got it. Nice work.
Speaker 5:
[14:16] Now, let's all pull the pumpkin out of the water and up the hill by turning this crank that's connected to the net. Ready? Turn that crank!
Speaker 4:
[14:33] Now, let's all work together to lift the pumpkin onto Mr. Porter's truck. Use your muscles to help lift it back onto Mr. Porter's truck.
Speaker 3:
[14:44] Nice and easy now. One, two, three, lift! We did it! The pumpkin is back onto the truck. Now, I'll retie it back on with these ropes.
Speaker 4:
[15:05] Got it! Nice and tight. If we hurry, we could still make it to the festival in time.
Speaker 5:
[15:12] We can make sounds with the siren, so everyone knows that we're in a hurry. Listen to it. Now make those sounds out loud. It sounds kind of like this. Can you do it? Go ahead, give it a try.
Speaker 4:
[15:33] Let's all make siren sounds.
Speaker 3:
[15:39] Look, there's the entrance to the festival. We made it right on time. I'm gonna be able to make everyone my pumpkin spice smoothies after all. Oh, thank you Paw Patrol. And thank you too. You were great.
Speaker 4:
[15:57] Hey, Mr. Porter. Check out my tongue twister. Oh, thanks, Ryder. But we never could have done it without your help, Paw Pal. You were such a pawesome help to me and the pups today.
Speaker 2:
[16:42] Yeah!
Speaker 4:
[16:42] Great job! Alright!
Speaker 1:
[16:44] Oh, yeah!
Speaker 4:
[16:46] Oh, by the way, we brought you back a little something from the fall festival, Ryder. It's a pumpkin patch.
Speaker 2:
[16:54] A pumpkin patch? You mean you brought me a whole garden of pumpkins?
Speaker 4:
[17:01] No, not that kind of pumpkin patch, Ryder. We got you a patch of a pumpkin to put on your jacket.
Speaker 2:
[17:09] Oh, a pumpkin patch. Now I get it. Wow! That is so cool. Thanks.
Speaker 4:
[17:21] It was so fun having you on the mission today.
Speaker 2:
[17:25] And remember, whenever you're in trouble, just yelp for help.
