[00:02] The Nickelodeon Original Podcast.
Speaker 2:
[00:13] Hey, Paw Pal, it's me, Ryder. We're so excited that you're joining the PAW Patrol today. We're at the lookout right now because Mayor Goodway is opening an outdoor movie theater in Adventure Bay. Let's listen.
Speaker 3:
[00:29] Oh, Chickaletta, my little purse pet, today's the day. Our Adventure Bay outdoor movie theater is finally open. When I was a little girl, I used to dream of being a mayor of a town close to the water, and I dream of hosting outdoor movies. I finally made that happen, Chickaletta. That's right, my little cherished chicken. We're hosting an outdoor movie right here in Adventure Bay. Now, there's just one last step before we're ready to start playing the movie. Make the popcorn. Pop-a-pop-a-pop, pop-a-pop-a-pop. Oh, I positively love a popcorn party. Oh dear. That doesn't sound... No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! This popcorn machine is popping way too much popcorn! It's hitting everywhere and overflowing the whole area of the outdoor movie theater. The popcorn pile is so high that we won't have anywhere to sit. We won't even be able to see the movie. Chickaletta, where are you? I don't see you anywhere. Oh, Chickaletta! We have to call the PAW Patrol to help save Chickaletta and get this popcorn predicament under control.
Speaker 2:
[02:54] Did you hear that, Paw Pal? Mayor Goodway is in trouble and needs our help right away. Time to call the pups. PAW Patrol, ready for action, Ryder, sir. Thanks, Chase. And thanks for hurrying here, everyone. Pups, Mayor Goodway and Chickaletta need our help. Take a listen.
Speaker 3:
[03:18] Ryder, pups, Chickaletta and I are at the outdoor movie theater. Our popcorn machine is popping way too much popcorn. We're stuck and Chickaletta is buried in popcorn and trying to eat it all. If we can't get Chickaletta out, she'll keep eating the popcorn and get a tummy ache. And we won't be able to have our outdoor movie night. This is a disaster.
Speaker 2:
[03:45] Oh no, that doesn't sound good. Pups, we've got to save Mayor Goodway and Chickaletta from that overflowing popcorn machine. So for today's mission, I'll need... Skye. Skye, I need you to fly high above the outdoor movie theater. Then use your harness on your copter to scoop Mayor Goodway and Chickaletta out of the popcorn. Let's take to the sky. Come on, Paw Pal. Oh, I'm so excited to go with you. Will you help me fly my copter?
Speaker 3:
[04:33] Yippee!
Speaker 2:
[04:35] Wow, you get to ride with Skye in her copter? Don't forget to buckle up, because she loves to fly high. Paw Patrol is on a roll. No job is too big, no pup is too small. We're on our way to rescue Mayor Goodway and Chickaletta. You can use your hands to fly my copter, Paw-Paw. Yep, just hold your hands up high and wiggle them to make the copter go high. Let's take to the sky. Wiggle those hands. Great job flying my copter. I love being high in the sky. You could see so many things from here. I see the flag outside of City Hall. I see Porter's Cafe. Ooh, and I see the beach. What do you see outside of your window? Oh, wait a second. I can see the outdoor movie theater there in the distance. Hold your hands down low and wiggle them to bring my copter down closer to the theater so that we can get a better look. Wiggle those hands. Great job. Do you hear that? Listen closely. Hmm. What noise does that sound like? Yeah. That sounds like... Popcorn popping!
Speaker 3:
[06:26] Hello? Hello?
Speaker 2:
[06:32] Popcorn popping! Eye-Spy with my little eye, pay your good way and Chickaletta in the middle of lots of popcorn.
Speaker 3:
[06:39] Oh, no!
Speaker 2:
[06:41] We've got to find a way to turn off this popcorn machine. What part of my copter should we use to turn off the popcorn machine? The hook! Oh, yeah! Help me to activate the hook to flip out the switch on the popcorn machine by saying, Ruff! Hook! Ready? Say it in one, two, three!
Speaker 3:
[07:09] Hook!
Speaker 2:
[07:15] Hook! Close, let's try again. Ugh, we almost got him. One more try. You did it!
Speaker 3:
[07:43] Oh, yeah! Yippee!
Speaker 2:
[07:46] Mayor Goodway!
Speaker 3:
[07:48] Oh.
Speaker 2:
[07:48] We're going to help you first with the harness. When we lower the harness and it's close enough to you, buckle yourself in and we'll lift you right up out of the popcorn pile and place you down on the sidewalk, okay?
Speaker 3:
[08:03] Ready.
Speaker 2:
[08:04] Paw-Paw, help me keep the copter steady so that we can safely pick up Mayor Goodway to lift her out of the overflowed popcorn. Ready? Keep your hands together and keep them as still as you can. Nice work. The harness has reached Mayor Goodway. You can clip into the harness now, Mayor Goodway.
Speaker 3:
[08:35] Okay. I'm clipping in. I'm all clipped in.
Speaker 2:
[08:42] Ready? All right, Paw-Paw. Just like before, hold your hands up high and wiggle them to make the copter go higher. But just a little bit. We don't want to be too high. We have precious cargo. Mayor Goodway.
Speaker 3:
[09:06] It's me. I'm the precious cargo. Watch it. Watch it.
Speaker 2:
[09:13] Whoa. There you go, Mayor Goodway. You're safely back on the ground and out of that huge popcorn pile.
Speaker 3:
[09:27] Thank you, Skye. And thank you too. But where's Chickaletta? Oh, we still need to rescue my precious purse pet. You know, she loves popcorn. It's one of her favorite foods. So she will be eating a lot and won't know how to stop.
Speaker 2:
[09:47] I noticed that the popcorn and Mayor Goodway's hair were blowing around when my copter got close to the outdoor theater because my helicopter propellers were making lots of wind. That gives me an idea. You can help me by bringing my copter closer toward the outdoor movie theater by moving your hands forward. Great work. Now, if we can get closer to the popcorn, we can use the wind from our propeller to blow it away from Chickaletta and get her out. Move your hands forward now. Oh, no! With all this wind, the popcorn is blowing everywhere! We've got to get Chickaletta out! Help me by holding your hands together to help me keep the copter steady.
Speaker 3:
[10:56] Hooray!
Speaker 2:
[10:57] Now the copter is steady, but there's still too much wind. The popcorn is just blowing around and around instead of away.
Speaker 3:
[11:07] Oh, Chickaletta!
Speaker 2:
[11:10] Eye-Spy with my little eye, one worried mayor.
Speaker 3:
[11:14] That's right, I am worried. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
Speaker 2:
[11:24] Skye, it's Ryder, I'm sending help to scoop up the popcorn. You've got it! Do you know a pup who can scoop up all of the popcorn with their truck? Yes, it's Rubble! Rubble, on the double!
Speaker 3:
[11:43] I'm on my way!
Speaker 2:
[11:44] Oh, here comes Rubble now! Eye-Spy with my little eye, a scoop on my construction truck. Let's dig it and get Chickaletta back to Mayor Goodway.
Speaker 3:
[12:03] Oh, yay, Rubble's here. Ha ha ha, hang on, my cherished chicken. We'll get you out of the popcorn.
Speaker 2:
[12:10] Don't worry, we've got this, Mayor Goodway. Rubble, can you get closer with your giant scoop to pick up the popcorn and get Chickaletta out? Really, really carefully? I sure can. Hey, Paw Pal, you can come with me in my construction truck. Let's do this together. Ah woo, let's go. Will you help me scoop up the popcorn and pick up Chickaletta? Use your paws or hands at scoops, just like I'm scooping with my construction truck. Ah woo. Awesome. Keep scooping. Rubble, I spot Chickaletta near the movie screen, eating popcorn. Copy that, Skye.
Speaker 3:
[13:01] Okay.
Speaker 2:
[13:02] Let's scoop toward the movie screen. Nice scooping. You're so strong.
Speaker 3:
[13:11] Oh, please, please, please be careful.
Speaker 2:
[13:13] Don't worry, Mayor Goodway. We'll be the most careful. Count with me, and we can carefully scoop together. One, two, three, scoop. One, two, three, scoop. Keep going, Rubble. It's working. Scoop some more. Scoop, scoop. Okay. Let's get ready for one last big, careful scoop. Are you ready to scoop with me? Let's count again. One, two, three, scoop. Good, we picked up most of the popcorn. And, high-spy with my little eye, Chickaletta, just over there, still near the movie screen.
Speaker 3:
[14:07] Oh, I see her, I see her. Let Rubble pick you up, my little purse pet.
Speaker 2:
[14:13] I've got my eye on her. Let's carefully approach Chickaletta to make sure that we don't scare her. When we get close, let's very, very slowly pick her up with the scoop. Steer with me! Steer toward the movie screen. Nice job! There she is! Oh, don't go anywhere, Chickaletta, we're coming.
Speaker 3:
[14:42] That's right, don't go anywhere, Chickaletta. Rubble's coming!
Speaker 2:
[14:52] Okay, now put your hands, or paws, together like a shovel to help me very gently pick up Chickaletta. Nice job! We got you, Chickaletta! All right! Now that we've got Chickaletta in my scoop, help me steer my construction truck back over to where Mayor Goodway is. Nice work! Great work, Rubble! I'm coming down!
Speaker 3:
[15:48] Oh, my sweet Chickaletta, you're safely out of the popcorn, and you smell like butter. Oh, my sweet chiggy booboo. Thank you, Skye. Thank you, Rubble. And thank you for helping out the PAW Patrol pups today.
Speaker 2:
[16:08] Aw, we're happy to help Mayor Goodway.
Speaker 3:
[16:12] Oh, you're so right, my sweetie. We still need to have our movie night. Will you help us to switch the movie screen on? We just need to lift this lever.
Speaker 2:
[16:24] On the count of three, let's all work together to lift the lever to turn the movie screen on and get this outdoor movie viewing started. One, two...
Speaker 3:
[16:36] Three! Oh, you did it. Movie night is saved. Hooray!
Speaker 2:
[16:46] We're happy to help, Mayor Goodway. Now, let's hop back into my copter and head back to the lookout. Will you come back to the lookout with me? Let's take to the sky! Great job on another amazing rescue. I spy with my little eye, someone who did a great job helping us save Chickaletta and Mayor Goodway. It's you! Yeah! All of this celebrating has me craving some popcorn. Hi Mayor Goodway, hi Chickaletta.
Speaker 3:
[17:34] Did someone say popcorn? We had extra popcorn and we just had to bring it by the look out to thank you for saving our outdoor movie night. Because I spy with my little eye, someone who saved me and Chickaletta and our most marvelous movie night. It's you!
Speaker 2:
[17:57] And whenever you're in trouble, you just yelp for help.
